A Restaurant and Bar at the Copley Square Hotel to Open in December - Eater Boston

"The Aegean — which once had locations in Framingham and Watertown that are both now closed — is mounting a comeback in Waltham, the Boston Globe reports. Owners Chris Ntasios (whose parents ran the old locations) and Christa Bazarian are behind the reinvention, which now includes a mix of Greek favorites from the old menu plus new Armenian additions from Bazarian, who is Armenian. Look for the broiled shrimp with feta, lamb gyros, and losh kebabs, or seasoned ground beef served with pita." - Erika Adams

Boston Restaurant Openings, December 2022 - Eater Boston

"Beloved Greek restaurant the Aegean has made a comeback in the neighborhood. Chris Ntasios and Christa Bazarian — who are married, and met at the Aegean’s old restaurant in Watertown — are behind the reboot, which now includes a Greek menu with Armenian touches that nod to Bazarian’s heritage." - Erika Adams

I have to say, I’ve been to a lot of Greek restaurants in my time, but this one is probably the worst. It took one hour for what you said on my plate to arrive. It looks like something that simply got microwaved but it’s still took an hour. I’m pretty sure the guy in the kitchen is the same guy that makes the cocktails and everybody else stands around looking stupid.

Food is great here, and the service is wonderful. I had the crab stuffed sole and my wife had the traditional gyro. The prices are lower than Google reports - if I lived in the area, this would definitely be one of our go-tos!

Google
The food is excellent you will be pleased with anything you order, it is a store front restaurant that is clean and comfortable they have drinks and desserts the bread was home made & incredibly good I had the great leaves. My guest had the beef kebabs. They agreed roasted potatoes were excellent I capped it off without Armenian coffee. It's a Greek and Armenian restaurant and I will say that the food is authentic. I think you'll enjoy it.

Absolutely 5 stars for Aegean in Waltham! My husband, parents-in-law, and I had a wonderful dining experience thanks to their warm and friendly service that made us feel right at home. We started with their fresh bread and the heavenly feta cheese in olive oil dip—simple yet bursting with flavor. The traditional gyro sandwich with fries was perfectly seasoned and satisfying, while the pastichio and roasted lamb with rice pilaf were comforting and delicious, full of rich, authentic flavors. The spanakopita was flaky and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the roasted potatoes drizzled in lemon—so good we were all talking about it afterward. I also enjoyed a glass of Armenian red wine that paired beautifully with the meal—smooth, bold, and just the right touch of warmth to enhance the flavors of the food. And the desserts—wow. The baklava was perfectly crisp and sweet, and the Armenian honey cake was a delightful surprise and the perfect end to a fantastic meal because it's not too sweet. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Greek cuisine served with genuine hospitality!

Excellent food and lovely restaurant. Anything lamb will make you right. One of our local favorites for a nice date night.

Google
So after half an hour of ordering our drinks, I had to ask where my drink was something. Someone appeared from the kitchen and quickly made me two cocktails and drop them at the table and disappeared. I also ordered two things to be delivered at the same time one was delivered within 20 minutes and the other one took over an hour. It took 45 minutes before anyone came over to look at the table With a jug of water but walked past until we called them back to fill out water glasses which were quite empty. Very nice absolutely terrible service and we suspect the same person that makes the cocktails is the poor person slaving over the food in the kitchen.

From the food, to service and atmosphere, everything was excellent at this fabulous establishment in the heart of Waltham MA. Serving up delicious lamb and potatoes, or a chicken gyro sandwich - you can’t go wrong on the Greek / Armenian menu. And thanks to the owner for the incredible hospitality for our party of 7 who sat at the bar, serving up amazing drinks and food and the attention to detail to our party. Professionally ran and a well deserved 5 star review.

Google
What’s the worst aspect of Aegean? Take your pick! A Sunday evening wait for a table, only to be told to sit at the bar? The frigid temperatures in the bar area? The dirty tables and chairs, which are never bussed, and thus have crumbs everywhere? The hour-plus wait for food, only having one cup of water the entire two hours you’re there, and never receiving the second round of pitas you requested? Or the cold, hard pitas they serve? What about the roasted potatoes that are as unseasoned, limp, wet, and slimy as can be? There isn’t really a mezze platter offered, where vegetarians and vegans can enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine. The prices are higher than advertised on the website, and you’re almost completely ignored by the staff. What a terrible experience for a first night in the area.

Yelp
The new Aegean Restaurant in Waltham still has very tasty food! I like going there with my friends.

Yelp
Unbelievable vibe and food! Having been to Armenia, I felt like I was there! Food was fresh and delicious--anyone who has had a tomato in Armenia knows what I'm talking about. Service is so friendly and they literally anticipate what we wanted. Revising my New Year's resolution's--I need to come here once a week for the rest of the year.

Yelp
I'm Greek. I love all things Greece and Greek- except the Aegean Restaurant. Service was terrible. The waiter was unable to talk about any of the dishes on the menu. He was a kid, so let's give that a pass. My companion got her salad and it was soupy because it was so drenched in oil and completely overdressed. She politely asked the manager to take it back. The acting manager came over and it was so rude. Sooooo rude. Where is the Greek hospitality? Missing apparently, because I didn't see any Greeks working there. That should have been a big red flag. Our food came out and her garlic broccoli was ice cold and she asked for her lamb to be rare but it was well done. My Moussaka was completely inedible. I paid for my meal and literally took one bite. When I told the waiter it was inedible he said okay and brought the bill. I have never had an experience like this. It was bizarre. The Greeks are known for wonderful food and even better hospitality- the Aegean did not deliver either. I will never, ever return.

Yelp
App: AEGEAN HOUSE PLATTER 7.5/10 - spinach pie and falafel I took part in and both were fantastic. Meal: Pasticio with rice pilaf 9/10 - boy oh boy...not often do I take a first bite and have to reflect and slow down and truly enjoy the moment of indulging in Flavortown, usa than like this Pasticio. The macaroni/beef/béchamel sauce combo is unbelievable, and I will definitely be ordering this again in the future. My family loved their meals also, and will have to eventually try some of the rest of the menu in the future too.

Yelp
Incredibly disappointed in this new location. Was initially excited to hear about the new opening as I had been to both locations in Watertown and Framingham The positives: The restaurant is beautiful, decorated tastefully, love the projector and pictures of greece. Unfortunately that is where it ends. The negatives: Went to dinner last week. I don't eat carbs and I wanted the lamb. I asked if I could swap out the potatoes /rice for a their small side salad. They said no. They said I could pay extra and order the side salad so that is what I did, so what do they do, they bring me the lamb with no sides that it comes with and the side salad. I also ordered a side of broccoli. ( it was tasteless, unimpressive ) Pictures: Broccoli and the 1 lamb skewer, the piece of broccoli was from my paid add on side dish. Seriously you charge full price for 1 skewer and no side when you wont make a tiny substitution? I paid $34 for 1 skewer of lamb, a few tiny florets of broccoli and a tiny tiny side salad. I asked for the dressing on the side. They added the dressing. I sent it back. And the didn't take it off the bill. The server was not willing to help when we asked about the substitutions and then then we asked to speak to the manager. She came over and was so rude. We paid our bill and left, Didn't eat the food and will NEVER come back. Too bad, bc we LOVE Greek food, it is our go to kind of restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go to the Farm Grille or Demos!

Yelp
Went to the Aegean in early Feb 2025 and had an outstanding experience. The vibe is very different from the Framingham location but that is OK. Street parking on a Saturday was plentiful. We got there around 5:30 pm, and a few tables were taken. But an hour later, it was nearly full. The food was incredible. We had two different lamb dishes and baklava for dessert. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend it and will be going back soon. Hope this helps.

Yelp
Amazing food, service and ambiance. My husband and I traveled to Armenia last year and we were delighted to see Armenian wines featured in the wine list! Highly recommend all around.

Yelp
I have been in the Aegean Restaurants, Watertown, Framingham and over the many years have seen the quality go down. I am GREEK. I am 70. Then they closed...both.....Actually had many funeral lunches at the Watertown location over the years at the request of the deceased.. Went to the Aegean on Moody St. tonight. Saganaki was store bought breaded, not real! Had the orzo lamb dish... took out all the lamb and it did not fill a soup spoon, and orzo was not made in the oil of the lamb, in the oven. Lamb Kabob was dry lamb meat with no taste said a friend. Potato's that came with dishes white and no taste. Meatball gross said another friend. Prices were great but selling food that is not Greek quality will not keep your doors open. This Greek will not be back. This Greek will go to Needham St. I am really sad to report this review to the public but make believe Greek quality food is upsetting to me. Paying $200.00 for 4 tonight wasted. You would think that if the servers saw the side rice not touched, the appetizers barely eaten and dinners 1/2 full, the meatball with a little piece gone you would ask why, but no one approached. PLUS asking for no t-go box red flagged it all. Waiter talked softly and never came by the table during the App, or the meal. Used to be able to blame it on COVID.....but we are back to reality now. Yasoo my friends. C .

Yelp
I came to Aegean after rave reviews from a friend, but was sorely disappointed. I'll preface this by saying I love Greek food, but this was not it. It started off well -- the bread and cheese they put on the table was phenomenal, but it stopped there. The appetizers were lacking (the hummus was exceptionally salty and grainy, the tzatziki lacked flavor, and the quantity in the platter was disappointing). The beef kabob was the texture of a rock (after ordering medium rare) and was extremely salty. After sending it back, the kitchen delivered it blue (more than rare). The lamb youvetsi was okay, but the orzo was very soft. The other dishes we ordered were not notable. All in all, if you want mediocre Greek food, consider it.

Steven F.

Yelp
The lamb dish was incredible. Service was slow even though there were only 4 tables, but a large party of about 12 or so were monopolizing the sole server.

Yelp
The Aegean Restaurant is back, opening on Moody Street in Waltham. I've missed dining at the Aegean Restaurant for Greek food since they closed in Framingham back in 2020. They also had another Aegean Restaurant in Watertown which closed around 2016. The bar and dining space is in the same bright room with seating up at the bar and table seating. There are flatscreen TVs at the bar and a projection of scenes of Greece on the back wall. I had dinner here on a recent Tuesday night when they opened for business. I sat myself up at the bar for prompt service. The bartender greeted me and set up a placemat menu and wrapped silverware in cloth napkin. I was brought over a basket of loaf bread & pita bread with a bowl of olive oil, herbs, & crumbled Feta cheese for dipping (very good and filling). I ordered my favorite Aegean Sampler ($19 plus tax) and added a Side Salad ($4 plus tax *$3 on the printed menu?) (iceberg lettuce, red onions, Greek olives, feta cheese, & dressing), decent. The Aegean Sampler was very good. It was a tasty platter of Mousaka , Pastichio, 2 Stuffed Grape Leaves with lemon sauce, Greek sausage, & Spinach Pie with a side of Rice with Sauce. I finished my dinner and the bread and pita. I passed on dessert since I had a Zoom meeting to attend and the place became very busy with more customers arriving to check out Aegean once again. The service here was good and prompt. My ice water glass was refilled by the bartender. It seems like they have former staff and new staff here and they are still getting back in the groove. I am so glad Aegean is back, but in a new location.

Jack J.

Yelp
We went there with a large party of 20 and they were able to accommodate but we let them know a week in advance. The service was pretty good, but they can have more help. Overall the food was pretty good and served family style. The chicken kebab, tzatziki, potatoes, and spanakopita were fantastic. The beef kebab was over cooked. The lights were a bit too bright for an evening dinner and they also have tvs playing the game so it's a little confusing from a nice restaurant to sports bar vibes. Overall pretty good.

Eve C.

Yelp
What a disappointment! I loved the "old Aegean". I ordered the vegetable kebab for $17. It is literally one kebab. A couple of tomato slices, 1/2 of one mushroom, 2 onion slices and 3 broccoli florets. I also ordered a horiatiki salad for $18. This is the picture. Ridiculously over priced.

dan w.

Yelp
The food is still good, but portions were smaller. (Compared to the old Framingham location) Like less lamb in the youvetsi. And the side salad had less feta and fewer ingredients. Used to come with the main course, but now is $3 extra. They should revert to the old policy. Or alternatively, improve the salad. Bread is better than before, and a welcome start to the meal. Service was pleasant enough, but the waiters need more training. They were inexperienced and were a bit overwhelmed on a crowded Friday night. One of the Aegean's biggest problems is parking. There is none. Finding a spot on the street can be a real challenge, particularly on a snowy night. Maybe they can arrange something with the nearby funeral parlor since very few people get buried after 5 p.m. With a little tweaking, the Aegean can be back to a 5 star rating, as they were before.

E R.

Yelp
Horrible experience all around. No substitutions for starches. Asked for broccoli which was listed on the menu but they were "out." Air conditioning was spotty. Swordfish was paper thin and dried out. This is not the Aegean we knew from Watertown.

Yelp
First time going to Aegean, but certainly won't be the last. Owners seem like very nice people, and the food is spot on and won't break the bank. Complimentary bread with olive oil & feta dipping sauce was addictive. To start, we got the fried smelts (freaking amazing) which no one else has on their menu. I had the Moussaka & my friend had the lamb. Both were amazing and I have lunch for tomorrow. I'm still blown away by the quality of their food and their price point. Anyone can certainly afford to go out to eat at these prices. I promise to be a regular, so please save my table. It's so great to have a Greek restaurant in the neighborhood (saves me a trip to Brighton) when I have to get my Greek on.

Dee M.

Yelp
It took an hour and a half for us to get our food, once we did get our food it was cold and unappetizing. I tried to bring this up to the manager, and she tried to get one of the waitresses to talk to me so she didn't have to. Honestly probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. None of us ate our food. We asked for bread they had none, it took an hour even for our drinks to come. Service was awful.
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Don't get tricked by the pretty interior design. The food is awful and overpriced, and the service is subpar. I wanted to give this place a chance, because of other good reviews, but there's a reason it was near empty on a Friday night. I ordered the Aegean Combo and wish I just had the bread and left. The food tasted like second-day leftovers that were microwaved on high. None of it was at the right temperature-- the spinach pie was still cold on the inside, and the sausage was lukewarm. The cabbage was somehow soggy and oily at the same time, and the grape leaves tasted like they were the canned ones from the grocery store. Skip this restaurant and go somewhere else.
google avatar

Stacey K.

Yelp
They didn't miss a beat. The food was spot on and so delicious just like I remember it. I'm already planning my next trip back can't wait to try so many of the original staples. The new location is a perfect size bright and has a nice bar. The dressing was just like I remember. Glad to see the place busy on the the first night reopening.

Nairi D.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Aegean on Friday for a long overdue date night. In the past, we both enjoyed the Aegean when it was in Watertown and we were so excited when we heard of the reopening in Waltham. We had an amazing meal. The owner and our waitress were both very kind and attentive. My husband ordered the beef kebab and I almost ate his plate too. I ordered the shrimp & scallop combo, which was grilled perfectly. The side of roasted potatoes is a must!! I wish I took more pictures, the desserts at the end were so so delicious. I didn't have room left, but also I couldn't resist the walnut bakhlava and honey cake. We will be definitely coming back again. 10/10 everything was delicious!
google avatar

Megan K.

Yelp
So glad we stumbled on the Aegean for dinner--it's a gem. The food was delicious and the service was great. It had a very welcoming feel and an extensive menu. The bread with feta was too good.

Harvey S.

Yelp
Very underwhelmed, the 4 of us who used to go to the Framingham location were expecting similar quality. My seafood platter had 3 scallops ( small) 2 shrimp, small piece of salmon, cod. My suggestion, load it with fries or charge 2-3 $ for onion rings. My friend's leg of lamb was tough to eat. I hope you'd take this criticism seriously, make some changes and go back to the original recipes.

Jason G.

Yelp
So I want to give the Agean a great review, but will need to make another trip 1st. Upon hearing that the restaurant reopened in Waltham a friend and me went for dinner. There was a line at the hostess station. We could all see the hostess peering out from the entrance to the kitchen with a dismayed and worried look on her face. The servers were running around like crazy not acknowledging anyone who was waiting. We noted that the restaurant was completely full and not one seated diner had a plate of food, not good. Finally, after 10 uncomfortable minutes a hostess came over to seat us at a table by the front window and as we were sitting, declared "Sorry, this is a reserved table and we cannot serve you, we're all full." Me and my friend just walked out the door, someone did try and give chase but we didnt bother, the experience and excitement at that point was ruined. I go way back with the Agean. I frequented their Watertown and Framingham locations frequently and I felt that they had the best traditional greek food around, if its the same family and same recipes, i'm sure the food is outstanding, they just need to work hard on the operations aspect of running a restaurant and should have known that with the name "Agean" a lot of hungry patrons would be queued up to enjoy their delicious cuisines. I can forgive and forget about the horrible experience I had where we left hungry without service, but I need to go back and have the experience I was expecting 1st. This one star review is tentative.

Mike M.

Yelp
Overall a solid 3 --first the good- we had the greek side salad and spinach pie to start and then the half chicken, oven baked lamb and beef kabobs for out meal. We had rice and lemon wedge potatoes for sides. Food was good. What could have been better---the beef kabob portion was small and the lemon wedge potatoes were cold and undercooked. The only real issue was with the caesar salad which had to be sent back- first time around it was drenched with some kind of Italian dressing. They took it back and gave us another which had no dressing on it... I'd stay away from it. Service was good, restaurant was very clean and easy to have conversation. Two things to note- it's located on Moody street with no off street parking... they serve beer and wine.. Affordable place to eat.

bob c.

Yelp
Located a couple of blocks past the Main moody street strip, this newly renovated room is spacious and crisp with a large bar area. Food is good, all traditional Greek Specialties plus more North American options. Service was very good, portions generous. Worth a visit.

Amirtham D.

Yelp
A bit disappointing. I was really hoping this restaurant would be the same as the one in framingham with the quality of food. there is some things that have changed and there are somethings are the same. For example now they give olive bread with the olive oil and feta. If you want more it's a three dollar charge. You no longer get a choice of soup or salad with your entrée, soup is six dollars and a side salad is three dollars extra. The sides that come with the entrées all the rice pilaf or lemon potatoes. We ordered the lamb youvetsi, the mix platter and the lamb kebab. The lamb kebab was supposed to be medium and it came out cooked through and was really tough meat, it was difficult for my mom who is 91 to chew. I felt that the Pastitsio was a bit too sweet I had too much cinnamon. For dessert we shared a rice pudding and it was a bit on the dry side not creamy as it should be. Not sure I would enthusiastically go back. Restaurant is much smaller with probably seating for 40? Ish. I'm glad we made a reservation for a Sunday night.
google avatar

Raquel Y.

Yelp
What a great experience. The food and the service were on point. We had a reservation for 9 people and our table was ready for us at our reserved time. We had a birthday cake with us. The lady at the front asked if she could hold it for us and bring it out at the end of dinner. The food protions are a very decent size. We had a lot of leftovers to enjoy. At the end of dinner the cake was brought out with lit candles and plates for everyone. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for helping to make my birthday special.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, mouthwatering food, and service that makes you feel like family! Prices are extremely reasonable and if you're looking for the authentic Middle Eastern experience, look no further. The house platter is the best way to start, followed by their delicious kabobs, and either the galaktoboureko or the honey cake for dessert. I'm craving Aegean just thinking about it!

Adam W.

Yelp
Amazing food and atmosphere Slightly smaller than the location in Framingham but same great flavors. The wait staff is really personable and attentive and strives to make sure your night is memorable. Parking can be a little difficult on busy nights but there's side roads close by that you can park on

Carlos L.

Yelp
I don't get the good reviews of this place. My wife an I were in the area visiting from NY. The food is mediocre at best. The chicken was rubbery and sort of tasteless. Not terrible but not good either. Skip it.

Denis F.

Yelp
This is a schizophrenic review. The food is very good and we liked the interior. It was comfortable and warm, and the menu shows a great variety of Mediterranean foods. The major issue is the wait-staff. The restaurant was only half full when we were there. There were three waiters and at least one bus boy. All of them congregated in an alcove to the side of the bar near the kitchen. They seemed to have a wonderful time with each other, but showed almost no interest in tending to the customers. After an inordinately long wait the bus boy brought out our appetizer. He literally went to every other occupied table to deliver the dish and was turned away before finally coming to us, the last possible table. The waiter never told him who the dish was for, and while the waiter could see the kid's confusion, never stepped out of the alcove to give him direction. To add insult to injury, when our main course was finally delivered, the waiter leaned over me and it was unfortunately very evident that personal hygiene was not one of his attributes. Only once have I had service this bad, and in my Yelp review then I correctly predicted that they'd close within six months. I truly hope that this doesn't happen to the Aegean, and that the owner gets their wait-staff replaced or properly trained, because the food and setting are great and I really want them to succeed. For now, stick to take-out, and hope for better service in the future.

Rena W.

Yelp
We are so thrilled to have the Aegean restaurant back. The food is just as it was in framingham. A few more dishes offered as well. Only beer and wine but a nice selection. The restaurant is small and quaint. The prices are very reasonable. The wait staff is very pleasant. The parking on moody street is horrible. I highly recommend making a reservation.

Danny T.

Yelp
Food and service were great. Lamb ribs with the lemony roasted potatoes are my go-to
google avatar

Juhan B.

Yelp
I don't understand how anyone could rate this restaurant any higher than a 2/5 stars. Food is putrid, service is not great, and to say there was a tangible level of ambiance to be scored would be an over exaggeration.

Maura M.

Yelp
Delicious and well-priced Greek food. The lemon soup was yummy once it was reheated. The sampler plate was more than enough and fed us a second meal. Will keep this on the rotation.

Lalig M.

Yelp
I dined last week at Aegean in Waltham and had a fantastic dinner with my family! Food was so deliciously fresh, the Moussaka and the Baked lamb were scrumptious and the service outstanding. Did not try their desserts as I was so full but will for sure go for it next time. Definitely going back soon!

Lucy P.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service. We ordered the saganaki starter, moussaka, grape leaves, spinach pie - all rich and flavorful. We savored every bite. The restaurant is modern and comfortable - looks very different inside, much nicer compared to the exterior and overall feel of Moody St.

Shawn G.

Yelp
Went for dinner last night, a Saturday night - had a reservation for 6pm, 3ppl. We entered the restaurant, (significantly smaller space than they had in Framingham) and waited at the hostess stand....no one came to speak to us or seat us for a good 5 min. Not a good start. We were led to a table for 3- which was two small, 2 tops pushed together - with one chair at the head of the table and 2 chairs facing a very large, windowless wall! We changed the seating configuration so that 2 of us were not facing the wall. The service was very, very slow - initial contact from our waiter was slooowww. He was just so rushed that he couldn't give us quality service. Turns out he was in training, so perhaps the service time and attention from waitstaff will improve with time. The food was fair to good, not excellent. The interior of the space still needs some finishing decor touches. The restaurant gets cold from the door to the street opening and closing - and IF you are unlucky to get a table back by the bathroom, there is an additional blast of cold air that comes from the bathroom when that door is left open (which is easy to have happen bc there is no sled closing hinge on the door). Also note, there is a single toilet for the entire restaurant! It'll be quite a while until I attempt a dinner out at the Waltham Aegean again.

Simone A.

Yelp
We were greeted and we were treated very well. Unfortunately, when our appetizer came out, one piece was cold, and one piece was hot. The owner properly replaced appetizer. But then everything slowed way down... the kitchen seemed backed up, and when her entrées finally came out, again was cold and one was warm! we decided not to say anything because we actually felt bad for them and shared the hot entrée and took the cold one home.

Erin W.

Yelp
I was very excited to visit the Aegean; very disappointed. I ordered the lamb kabobs; the first bite was saltier than the feta cheese. I told the waitress, and she took my plate and returned with the manager, who stated she will make another lamb kabob for me. After 15 min, my son ate his meal, another dinner arrived; the first bite was saltier than the first. I told the waitress I was unhappy with the second attempt; she returned with the bill. No manager, no effort to ask if I wanted anything else on offering another dinner. Very unhappy and extremely dissatisfied. I will not return and will be sure to let others know about the service.

Natasha S.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. Prices were right, fresh new look. First off service was slow. Took 10 minutes to get a glass of water. Server was more interested in the game, projected way too big on the wall, than helping us. Mussel appetizer was drenched in large pieces of garlic and oil, lacked subtley. My lamb shanks arrived cold and were sent back for a heat up. Sauce was really weird texture though lamb was OK. I couldn't eat the garlic broccoli. It was over cooked, greasy, and heaped in garlic. I tasted the graped leaves my husband ordered and they were OK.

Yelp
Glad they chose to open in waltham after they had restaurants in framingham and Watertown. They bring bread with feta and olive oil. I had spinach pie appetizer that I enjoyed. Than had the mousaka that was awesome. Last time I had mousaka this good was in 1979 in Greece. My only down is that I felt they were a little short handed. But bottom line. Check it out

Yelp
Aegean is the best!! Amazing food, great staff, and fun atmosphere. We tried their lamb youvetsi and chicken kebabs, and finished with the baklava and galactoburico. Great Greek and Armenian wine selection as well. Can't wait to go back

Yelp
Coming in to MA from NY I had the brilliant idea to check into the Aegean and see if they could take us for dinner! Yes, brilliant, because it was a fabulous evening from beginning to end! From the minute we walked in Christa , co-owner, greeted us and made us feel like we were home! Christa is not afraid to pitch in in every aspect of this business as it was only 6 days since it opened (and it was full-mobbed when we walked in!) She is the consummate restaurateur who overlooked every aspect to ensure her customers were well-attended to. And the food! Her husband, Chris, continued the Aegean tradition of top-notch Greek cuisine and they added Armenian cuisine as well- menu is extensive and sure to please everyone. The olive bread and feta dip as starter could have been my finisher as they were so delicious I had to hold back for fear of ruining my appetite!! The country salad was fresh and refreshing and perfection. My husband ordered the youvetsi ( lamb and orzo) and it was expertly seasoned and so delicious you wanted to sop it up with that bread! And my meal of grilled lamb chops was enough for a family! Again seasoned to perfection! And those roasted potatoes - wish I had some as I write! No room for dessert but there is next time which will be anytime we come to MA! Our new home away from home! Thank you Christa and Chris for this destined to be a favorite for many!
