Yelp
This is a modern mall very similar to malls in the states. Did very little shopping, we were here for the food. The food court here is amazing. Among other local restaurants, you'll find a KFC, Baskin Robin's ice cream, Ikinari steak (i wished I tried, looks delicious). As a tourist I'm game for something new and "exotic" so I naturally got into the longest line I could find. My thoughts were, it must be good if locals line up. Turned out to be the best udon noodle dish I've ever had. Not only that but it was inexpensive. It was surprisingly easy to order. I just pointed at the picture and said medium. They quickly wiped up a bowl and the line keeps moving towards the cashier, as you go, you get to pick side dishes mostly fried tempura veggies, fish or chicken. I'm so glad I picked up some sides. I wish I could read Japanese because I don't know what this restaurant is called. I'm guessing its a National chain ? Anywho, In Japan napkins are rare, most locals carry a wet terry cloth. Also this food court has a free water station. Had to get a little taste of Baskin Robins they had a large variety of flavors not available in the states. Definitely stop by for a bite, if you're in Kyoto.
