Good selections of clothes and food. There is Namco game center and many gachapon on the top floor. There is also Mc Donalds on the top floor. If you're coming from Kyoto station, go opposite Tokyo tower exit and cross the main road. A 5 minute walk by the sode walk and you will reach the mall. I haven't seen a smoking area in the mall or outside the mall.

Lifesaver if you're an American and you've got kids. Familiar food includes McD's, KFC, Baskin Robbins, and even a Tony Roma's. There's a Toys R Us! An arcade! Like malls ought to be.

Plenty of interesting shops, though it’s mainly clothes of varying styles. Vintage, classic, funky and more. Also a large part of a floor reserved for arcade and claw games. Also plenty of interesting places to eat, mostly on the top floor. First floor has a grocery shop.

Good place for shopping. Cons: Compared other Aeon malls parking is not free for first 3 hours. It would be free for 2hours if you purchase over 5000 yen.

Very convenient mall near to kyoto station with a great selection of shops and restaurants. Includes a cinema theatre at the top level and also a supermarket at the ground level! There is also arcade at the top level so really suitable for youth or parents with younger children to explore together.

Yelp
Service - A short 10 minutes walk from Rihga hotel. Did not have to cross traffic since there was an overpass walkway and then walk by the JR station. Selection - Aeon Mall has multiple levels with so many good retail stores to choose from. You can find out more if you check out their website. Value - at this writing, US dollar to Yen exchange rate is 1 to 52 is an absolute plus for someone shopping in Japan.

Yelp
If you have children, going to malls is just a thing to do with them. Located 10 min from the back exit of Kyoto JR Station, it's pretty conveniently located. Even on rainy days I can manage to get there covered for the most part. I just dash from Mr. Donut when the light turns green LOL Anyways, this location has a Toys R Us, dining options, clothing stores like Azul by Moussy, Gashapon, Game Center, and much more like a hobby train store and Gundam store. Also a large grocery store! I just hate crossing from the annex to main side on the first level since there isn't a direct passage due to the road. It's all chained off so you can't get across with a baby stroller.......

Yelp
If Cuz says it's worth visiting, it must be worth visiting. On a recent trip to Kyoto we stayed near the train station, which had no shortage of places to eat or drink. While planning strategy I came across Cuz Nadine's review of the Aeon Mall next to the JR Kyoto Train Station and her review was spot on. The Aeon Mall is like a vertical Kahala Mall with several stories each having different stores. There is a floor devoted to dining, Aeon's version of a food court but with individual sit-down restaurants, even a movie theaterplex. The ground floor has a supermarket where you can take look to compare prices for everyday grocery items and also a place to grab a quick meal or snack. This shopping mall also has what I believe is the largest Daiso store in the immediate Kyoto area. The mall's proximity to the Kyoto train station, about a 10 to 15 minute walk is easy to get to and a favorite for foreign visitor and resident alike. If your travels to Japan take you to Kyoto train station, you might want to consider visiting Aeon Mall.

Yelp
This is a modern mall very similar to malls in the states. Did very little shopping, we were here for the food. The food court here is amazing. Among other local restaurants, you'll find a KFC, Baskin Robin's ice cream, Ikinari steak (i wished I tried, looks delicious). As a tourist I'm game for something new and "exotic" so I naturally got into the longest line I could find. My thoughts were, it must be good if locals line up. Turned out to be the best udon noodle dish I've ever had. Not only that but it was inexpensive. It was surprisingly easy to order. I just pointed at the picture and said medium. They quickly wiped up a bowl and the line keeps moving towards the cashier, as you go, you get to pick side dishes mostly fried tempura veggies, fish or chicken. I'm so glad I picked up some sides. I wish I could read Japanese because I don't know what this restaurant is called. I'm guessing its a National chain ? Anywho, In Japan napkins are rare, most locals carry a wet terry cloth. Also this food court has a free water station. Had to get a little taste of Baskin Robins they had a large variety of flavors not available in the states. Definitely stop by for a bite, if you're in Kyoto.

Yelp
Shopping in Kyoto Aeon Shopping Mall is right next to the New Miyako Hotel in Kyoto and across from the Kyoto Station. It's very convenient and has many floors, a second building that's connected by a walkway, and countless shops... Tour group members told us that the largest Daiso in Kyoto was located here. Also, there's a UNIQLO and a Crocs! I had to look for a certain black sandal for my sister...shucks...they didn't have her size. However, I found a shirt on sale at UNIQLO and I FINALLY found something that Jules asked me to look for at the Daiso!!! After searching FIVE Daisos... whoa! So my roommate got some battery operated erasers, too! Haha! If we had more time, we'd browse each level of Aeon Mall... we passed by some cute shops, but didn't have time...

Yelp
They've got a large supermarket on the 1st floor. Nana's tea and starbucks and Muji and an arcade on the top floor. What is there not to like? As a tourist, this place is a one stop shop on the south side of Kyoto Station. Although there are better coffee shops (Kasura) and bakeries (the one in the station) and food (also in the station), it was nice for the convenience of everything.

Yelp
This is one of the grand shopping/eating malls of Kyoto. Yes, there are Aeon Malls all over the area but this is the closest one to Kyoto Station. It is easy to walk to if you arrive at Kyoto Station. As is the case all Aeon Malls, this is a multilevel structure where you can take the escalator to the top floor and from there you can find what you are looking for whether what you are looking for is clothing, gifts, socializing, or food. A mall is a mall is a mall and this one is no different. It is enclosed, so you are protected from the elements once you are inside and it has tons of shops and a restaurants, so if you need whatever you need you can probably find it here.

Yelp
This is a full service mall including food and theatre. Saw the last Star Wars there on Christmas Eve 2019. Had KFC there on Christmas Day... Yes, KFC on Christmas is a thing in Japan. No turkey in the economy and so... Good memories

Yelp
This place was very disappointing after we already visited Aeon Mall Kyoto Katsuragawa. This shopping mall and its floor plan looks old fashioned. And it is impractical that this shopping mall consists of two separate buildings and it wasn't easy to figure out the route to get to the other building. The only good thing was about it was the huge Muji store.

Yelp
Usually it seems to me that Aeon mall is located in inconvenience place because they need huge place naturally that's why they are located in countryside. However surprisingly It showed up near Kyoto station! It takes a bit work though. The only times I have been for explored it right after new opening Just not bad. To be honest the mall disappointed me that they didn't have something special for me, almost the same as any other shopping mall. I think it is good to have big Toy'sRus for a family. Mom could have food, children could enjoy toys, and dad could read some books about him hobby.

Yelp
Aeon Mall was really like any other western mall I've been too. But multiple times larger. It's located right by the Kyoto Station. There were also two (expensive) nail salons located inside. (Note - Japan is really big on manicures, but not pedicures. I wasn't even sure if these two locations did pedicures as I did not see any equipment.) It was very clean and had a Daiso inside. I wasn't expecting to see a Daiso, so that is my only reason to include it in my review. Other than that, I'd recommend coming here if you'd like to shop. I was not in the market for much clothes buying so I mainly bought a lot of things from Daiso haha. This mall is very big on closing on time, so be aware and considerate of this.
