Aethos Monterosa

An amazing hotel with beautiful views and excellent service! I highly recommend it for couples, friends, and families with children. The facilities are top-notch, including a dedicated ski room and two great on-site restaurants. ​The spa area is fantastic and usually not too crowded; the outdoor spa under the open sky is a real highlight. It’s a perfect destination for both winter and summer vacations. For skiers, three days of surfing are likely enough, as most of the slopes are red. Additionally, there’s a great bar and a climbing wall.

An outstanding experience marked by truly exceptional hospitality. Nestled in the heart of the Alps and surrounded by breathtaking nature, Aethos is unquestionably the place to stay in Champoluc. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Every detail was handled with warmth and professionalism — from reception and baggage assistance to the restaurants, spa, and seamless transfers to and from the ski slopes. The level of service throughout our stay was simply impeccable. Highly recommended for guests of all ages — whether families or couples — this hotel offers an unforgettable alpine retreat. We will absolutely be returning.

Don’t let the work in the garden put you off, there’s still plenty of space to relax outside. They’re building an outdoor heated pool which will be fabulous, alongside the amazing indoor pool. We’ve had a wonderful 4 days here, and experienced everything they have to offer. The climbing wall is a first for me, and was great fun with the instructor Tomas making me feel safe and confident. The e-bikes are great, we cycled 22kms up the mountain and back, the walk to the Blue Lake is spectacular. We also enjoyed yoga and massages. The food is healthy, plentiful and delicious. If you like the outdoors and a cool vibe this is the place to come. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff have all been wonderful, a special mention to the 2 ladies at breakfast and to Alice who has looked after our every request and helped make our stay so special. We can’t wait to come back!

The hotel is 5 stars, and the location deserves 5 stars as well. Even though it’s not ski‑in/ski‑out and relies on a shuttle, it’s still a very good place to stay. They even have a climbing wall at the hotel! The room was also 5 stars quality, especially since I stayed in the new wing. Service via WhatsApp was easy, quick, and efficient. The only area that really needs improvement is the breakfast. It doesn’t make sense for 5 stars hotel to be so basic, especially given the high quality of the rooms. The contrast is too big. Please make it better. During the week only bar and Summit restaurant were available, we could not try second place which was opened on a specific days.

Everything was amazing just a little minus point for the construction work that was not mentioned anywhere when we booked the hotel and it was a bit of a shock when we arrived. Apart from that the hotel is amazing and service was good

My family and I had such a lovely stay at the Aethos Monterosa Hotel early Feb, 2026. Stunning location with breathtaking views and a stylish, thoughtfully designed interior. Everything was spotless, and the service was truly top‑notch from start to finish. The place is family‑friendly, with great skiing and a convenient ski shuttle (2 min ride)—Bryan was incredibly friendly and made every ride a pleasure. Thank you, Bryan! Carolina and the entire restaurant & bar team did an amazing job; every meal felt cared for. The receptionists were also exceptionally welcoming, setting the tone from the moment we arrived. Our kids (11 and 5) absolutely loved the wall‑climbing activity, which added an extra layer of fun to the stay. Overall, a fantastic experience with warm hospitality, and a beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!

The hotel is aesthetically beautiful and well located, but the price did not feel proportionate to the level of service. Spa access was limited despite being included in the room booking. Breakfast also lacked proper attention to food intolerances, as it took three days to receive a dairy-free croissant and a vegan yogurt. Overall, a decent stay, but the value for money could be improved.

Beautiful and characterful modern-mountain hotel with lots of style, a great spa, beautiful location, excellent rooms, wonderful and well priced food (especially in comparison to resorts like Val d’Isere and Courcheval where one would pay double or more for the equivalent quality). The hotel is relaxed, great for kids and family trips plus out of the main school periods would be romantic and fun a deux. The staff are fantastic. Caring, super helpful, friendly, professional and absolutely 5* - they make the hotel a real pleasure from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. There’s a beautiful and short walk into town which is lit at nights and meanders through the forest, local sculptors have added quite a number of crafty and artistic pieces on the pathway, it’s lovely either in day or night and feels very safe too. Highly recommended, we will be back and also thanks very much to the fantastic hotel team.
