Great overall vibe inside. We came on a Sunday morning so it was quite busy but was a nice atmosphere. Service was good. Coffee had nice flavor and staff were efficient. The chocolate croissant was good too.

Unique and delicious! The seasonal offerings are wonderful- we tried the eggnog latte and dolce natale. We also enjoyed the food offerings- a hummus and tomato tart + a delicious tuna melt. The atmosphere is cozy and well curated (extra bonus for having macadamia milk!)

The vibes in here are amazing! So many comfy chairs, benches and places to sit and work. Like a little piece of Mediterranean peace in hell's kitchen. Great music, and, on top of all of it, great coffee! I came to reconnect with an old friend and we had a lovely time. Gen especially gave me great service. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love Afficionado Coffee Shop! The place has such a warm, welcoming vibe and the coffee is always spot on. Their sea salt chocolate chip cookie is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had — soft, gooey, and that touch of sea salt makes it irresistible. Perfect combo with their latte or cold brew. Definitely my go-to spot for a quick pick-me-up or a chill afternoon break.

I stopped here on my way to the Intrepid Museum on a rainy day. I was walking from 5th Avenue and decided to take a break and wait for the rain to stop. The place is small, so there aren’t many seating options, but luckily someone was leaving and I managed to find a spot. The coffee was good, but be careful when choosing the size, as their cups can be quite large. Overall, it was a nice place to stop for a coffee break.

Some of the best cold brew I’ve had. The avocado toast and breakfast sandwich are delicious. And the yogurt parfait is decedent and beautifully crafted. The staff was very nice, too. Highly recommend stopping by this coffee shop if you’re in the area!

Great cozy coffee shop off 11th Ave. excellent food menu and unique coffee drinks. Brian the manager was super helpful. I love coming here and will continue to. Note the kitchen does close at 2pm daily.

came across this coffee shop as i was on a walk and absolutely loved it! we got one iced cortado and one psl and they were both amazing, they have macadamia milk which i highly reccommend because its DELICIOUS - i do believe it is an upcharge (as always sadly) but definitely worth checking out especially if you're in the area. there's tons of seating inside and out and the staff was super friendly. will definitely be back to try more drinks

Very happy I stumbled upon this coffee shop! It takes you out of the hustling city and into a quiet and peace environment to enjoy some coffee and a bite. Sitting inside was cozy, while the outside would be great for a warm day! Pro tip! Bring a book and get comfy, you won't want to leave

Cute cafe w seats and WiFi. Many ppl working on their computers. I always order iced americano w chocolate a pump of chocolate. The coffee was good. I also enjoy trying an almond croissant (as we know they are not all created equal). The staff was friendly. I noticed, It could get a little loud with everyone talking and working and the music playing. Prices were a little expensive. Super cute, clean bathroom w code to access. I would definitely recommend this spot.

A friend suggested we meet here. I'm so glad they did. The ambiance was comfy and functional. Great place to catch up with friends over some good ass coffee. I had the americano and it had great flavor and strength. I love almond croissants and this was a good one. The croissant was flaky buttery and almondy throughout! They also had the serve yourself water station, which i am always a fan of! The service was quick and friendly. I can see why my friend is a regular here! Great place to get your thoughts together!

I got tickets to a taping of the daily show. Looked up cafes while in line because it had been a long day and I needed some caffeine. Saw the great reviews for this cafe and the proximity to the studio. What a cute cafe! The ginger drink peaked my interest. The way the barista explained it was think ginger ale with honey and coffee bean husks notes. I thought that was intriguing, and tasted delicious.

TLDR: If you love single origin coffee and coffee in general, this is one of the best spots in NYC. I love coffee. So much so that I've done various coffee farm experiences abroad to learn how it's grown, harvested, and processed. So when I walked into Afficionado for the first time, I was extremely excited. Afficionado is a celebration of coffee. In addition to their great single origin selection, they have a tea made from coffee leaves, a carbonated ginger beverage made with the skins that cover coffee beans (my personal favorite) and a cherry-cranberry-like drink made from cascara or the fruit of the coffee plant. I don't know another place in NYC that's like this. I really enjoy their pastries as well. I forgot where they're sourced, but I enjoy the chocolate chip cookie and the cinnamon kouign amann that reminds me of the Starbucks morning bun. Their breakfast sandwiches are also great. Overall: one of my absolute favorite places for coffee in NYC and if you love coffee as much as I do, this will be yours as well.

Cisco was amazing!! We went in for a matcha and a coffee and he gave us great recommendations. My matcha was delicious I like it not sweetened and I love that they had that option of not presweetened! Very cute indoor seating. They had some pastries that looked good too I will have to go back to try them!

I came here super early on a Sunday morning, and they were just opening up shop. The store was beautiful inside; tons of seating, airy, and seemed like a wonderful spot to chill for an afternoon. Service was a bit interesting; they seemed to have a couple more things to do before they were ready to serve me, but rather than letting me know, they just ignored me for a couple of minutes. I got a cortado, and overall super solid. More on the fruity side, but not overly so. Good milk ratio, and overall well balanced. Can definitely tell the beans they use are of high quality.

Coffee is ok. Nothing special or amazing. Uniqueness and aesthetics give this place two stars. Ordered a bagel that literally took 20 min to make. No thanks for waiting or anything either. No thanks. Not to mention the bagel came with a salad and when I got home it was soaked in the dressing....didnt even eat it because it was soggy. They should've have wrapped it or separated it. But real talk, $24 bucks for coffee and a soaked bagel. Just no. I will not be back like ever.

I get coffee here often. The decor is very nice, very Peruvian and BoHo. The coffee is Okay, and pastries also Ok. They used to be phenomenal in 2022 when they opened. It peaked in 2022 when the pastries were from Uri Sheft. The staff was phenomenal back then, now its Ok.

A super cute interior, with plenty of varied seating options, from tables to couches to bar stools. There's a bathroom inside and wifi, so it's great for working. Although I have to say the wifi isn't the best, it's still a great study or work spot if you don't need to heavily rely on wifi. Good coffee with hints of chocolate, and the barista is super sweet! Located a little bit further from the subway station, but it's worth a visit.

Came here while visiting NYC and it was the best latte I've had while being here. The vanilla latte is the perfect amount of sweetness and the interior is adorable during the holidays. The baristas were nice and very talented with their latte art.

The best coffee in the neighborhood, I'd say. They have a nice selection of baked goods too. Seating inside but on a nice day, the outside tables are great too -- sheltered by the ever-present NYC scaffolding. Friendly service.

I came here for a quick lunch & study session after a Solidcore class, and it was such a great find! Cozy and tucked away on the west side of town, Afficionado has a lovely, calm atmosphere with some fun chairs and soft seating for hanging out and a few tables for doing work. I got an iced Americano, which was pretty good and standard, but I was really impressed by the smoked salmon baguette. The portion is incredibly generous, and I was very impressed by the thick slices of salmon atop a delicious sesame Jerusalem baguette. For $13.25, I felt like this was quite the steal for that much fresh fish! In terms of the trifecta I look for in coffee shops to study in: wifi bathroom outlets? I'm not sure, didn't need them.

Great cafe to do some work in, I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were several open seats. The cafe was very aesthetically decorated and the barista was so friendly!! Ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk that was tasty and had a perfect moderate level of sweetness. Will definitely return in the future

Wow I wish I lived closer to this coffee shop, because I loooooved the ambience and my chai latte / chocolate croissant. There's a good amount of seating available, and it seems like a nice coffee shop to do work in too. I like that you can use Apple Pay to purchase. It's also nice that they've got some food and pastry options as well. I ordered a medium size chai latte ($5) and it was sooo yummy. Not too hot, not too sweet. But I was especially impressed by the quality of the chocolate croissant. They def got it right. Nice and light flaky layers. Would 100% recommend!

This is such a cute and cozy cafe, great study spot, and has wifi and a restroom. Nice workers. I ordered a hot matcha latte with oat milk and it tasted just right, not too sweet & not too bitter. There aren't too many seats inside, and it gets busy during the midday of weekends. Also can be a bit of a walk from the subway, but I prefer that because it feels secluded. The only thing is that when I was sitting at the long middle table, there was a radiator underneath that kept vibrating the table and my hands the entire time. But otherwise I found the cafe to be a pleasant find and am looking forward to returning to try their food menu!

Found this cute little coffee shop on my walk last weekend. Nice service and the cold brew, was good but it's fairly small so there wasn't any open seating. If you're in the area, go for it! If not, I wouldn't say it's worth going out of your way for.

The smoothest quality coffee and tea I have come across in the neighborhood! I got my drinks with macadamia milk and they were just right. The mini chocolate croissant was divine. The interior was so comfortable. I could sit here all day with a laptop and get so much done. The music was just right too. So peaceful and comfortable. For the milk options, they have regular, oat, and macadamia.

The ambiance of this café is so cute. A little peaceful oasis in Hell's kitchen. They have delicious pastries. Loved the almond croissant. They were closing but still let me use their restroom. So nice and hospitable!

The good: they have good coffee, snacks, and pastries. Decent relaxing decor. The bad: My first visit was nice, but in subsequent visits their kitchen closes at arbitrary hours not consistent with their listed opening hours. Service is sometimes unpleasant and negligent.

Love this spot. Very cozy and wonderful in the summer with the outdoor space. Came in cranky the other day and AK went above and beyond to cheer me up. When I thanked him he just said, "That's my job." Definitely get the daddy latte and tip these buddies well.

A small quiet coffee place with seating for about ten guests. About four or five tables. Some people sit and work. Some outdoor seating close to the trash can on a dirty sidewalk under the scaffolders. Staff is friendly. Prices are too high. The taste of the coffee and tea was so-so. The wifi works.

stopped by and grabbed a latte and an almond croissant on a sunday morning -- both delicious (croissant was clearly freshly baked, and i didn't have to add anything to the latte at all to enjoy it, which is rare for me). staff was super friendly and the general ambiance was very pleasant. plenty of seating indoors, perfect place to catch up on some work or just take a break from life for a while, depending on what you want.

Such a cute cafe with limited seating. The staff are super kind and patient and the environs is quiet and intimate. I ordered a Prosciutto brie sandwich with a vanilla macadamia nut latte (delicious non dairy milk option). The sandwich has a perfect balance of flavors of savory and sweet with the brie cheese, thin Prosciutto slices and fig jam topped with arugula salad. I think they added a mustard as well that gives a little spice at the back of your tongue but not too much of a spice. The vanilla latte was just what i needed to start the work day

Decent and calm vibe. Would not go out of my way to go out here as it is a bit far and the iced coffee is average, but still good. The environment is very dreamy and good. I got a cookie and the cold brew which hit the spot. More of a personal day place as the atmosphere can get quiet here. Prices are standard as my drink was $4.75 + tax.

Coffee here depends on the barista they have for the day. The last 4 times I went there, I tried caramel/vanilla latte with or without oatmilk and americano. Today, I went for the 5th time to get 3 caramel lattes. The barista who had a mustache and glasses did a terrible job. There was an uneven amount of three coffee - one was a full cup, second had a little less, and third almost had 1/4 of coffee missing. Two out of three didn't even taste like caramel latte. Let alone service was crap. This could be upsetting because coffee prices are a bit high compared to other local areas. The ambience is quiet, and the place is small enough for you to sit down and work if needed.

This place is awesome! Stumbled upon it one morning and was surprised to see that there even was seating and WiFi - hard to find sometimes in Hell's Kitchen area. I got the americano and I think their coffee is really smooth and tasty, one of the best tasting coffee I've had in the area. I'm I'll definitely be coming back for their coffee!

love this cafe; it's deserving of the 5 stars it has so far! Cozy inside with different types of seating. There's a little sofa area that is very comfortable. The Daddy latte was so so good. I usually drink my lattes w/ skim milk but they told me they only do whole milk with this one so I ended up trying a latte w/ whole milk for the first time in awhile and it's changed my mind. I think I prefer whole milk lattes now dammit I'm tryna trim some pounds Anyways - service was great too; baristas were very nice. Wifi is good. Cute cozy cafe with great coffee!

This is my new favorite coffee shop. I don't drink coffee, but the barista Alex recommended the turmeric latte with honey, which was very tasty. This is a nice local coffee shop with a very nice & friendly staff!

This coffee shop has their espresso ready before. I don't know how long before but the two times I ordered i got it within 2 seconds. The first time wasn't bad. I ordered iced latte and it was decent. But the second time, the espresso was really watery so my iced latte tasted like just milk. I told the barista and she told me to order iced cortado instead next time, which wasn't my point. Also she just poured extra shot on my latte without even asking me and the latte still tasted watery, which proved that the espresso wasn't decent. I don't think their coffee is bad. I guess it's up to who the barista is.

I cannot believe this little gem of a coffee shop is just down the street from me. So unassuming, but once you're inside - you're in a different world. The best baristas and ambience. SERIOUSLY good coffee. Like SO good. I love the seating, the greenery, the music. If I didn't have kids, I would hang out here all day. My favorite has been the latte and the cappucino. I'm working my way up to trying their signature drinks - I know they are going to be awesome!

They charge one dollar to put oat milk in drip coffee. I'm not paying $1 for two tablespoons of oat milk. It's a complete rip off and a tax on vegans and nondairy drinkers and I'm not interested. Start charging $1 for dairy and see now that goes.

Wonderful new spot to get work done. Benefits from an ample variety of seating and a few cushioned spots to dissociate on. Standard menu and exceptionally likeable staff. The music is a nice touch, as well as the general sense that this place doesn't seem to get flooded with people.

Great food options! Can't speak to the coffee unfortunately. Croissants were a little too flaky for me, but the chocolate one was great! The staff was wonderful. Definitely a great spot to study or do work, just a little small so have to get a table quickly.

This shop is really interesting and has great quality coffee. The seating is one of the best nearby because of all the comfy nooks but.... some day soon it's going to get too crowded and I'll never get a seat. Best attention to coffee in the area,. definitely one of the best in the city. I would like them to have more breakfast stuff but who can be so lucky?

Cute little cafe that we discovered today :) The avocado toast was amazing, fresh and tasty. Coffee is good and strong! Atmosphere is cozy and we did like the design. The staff- Risa, Hakeem and Gabriel (I hope I spell it right)- three of them were super friendly. Will definitely be back soon and often as we live 3 blocks away :)

Really cute, comfy cafe for doing work or grabbing a quick cup. I stopped by to pick up a cold brew and an iced americano; the cold brew was delicious, americano was more on the watery side w/not much espresso flavor. Also got a blueberry muffin that was quite good! Would come again :)

Favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. Excellent cappuccinos and lattes. Love the mushroom latte, in particular. They offer macademia nut milk, which I appreciate. Cute interior. Very friendly staff. Even the other customers are friendly. I only wish the cushioned nook had more comfortable seating.

Stopped in here late morning. Had a drip coffee and blueberry muffin. The good- coffee was good fresh and strong and muffins was fresh and moist. The bad: they don't have the milk and creamer out for you to put it in yourself. The barista didn't ask if I needed milk or cream and filled the cup to the brim. He seemed irritated when I asked him for the half and half and to pour some of the coffee out so I could have room for cream. Also I hate it when they don't let you put your own creamer in as they always get the amount wrong. The food menu posted on the wall was very hard to read and they didn't have but 2 of the items on it. And finally, the really unacceptable- when I went in the bathroom there was no seat on the toilet! So ghetto!

The matcha latte was great! :) but mostly giving such a high review for the layout of the cafe - nice amount of space to sit and relax w some bar seating but also more chill couch/cushion areas.

Wondered in here while walking around the city. Fast friendly service! Yummy lattes! And cute decor! Small place though so don't count on a seat during busy coffee times. I sat for a bit and then took my drink across the street to the park and watched filming of SVU.

Wonderful NSB (Not Starbucks) coffee shop. Great beverages. Tasty snacks. Wonderful ambiance. And GREAT people.

Very poor customer service and lazy untrained staff. I placed an order at 1 PM for pick-up at 1:15. When I arrived around 1:25, the staff had not checked the system and did not realize there was an active order. They asked me to wait 5 minutes while they prepared a ham and cheese sandwich on a croissant, a pastry, and a large coffee. I waited for over 20 minutes. Not a single customer arrived while I was waiting. The 4 people behind the counter spent the entire time talking to each other and doing no work. I walked back up to the counter to get the status. They looked confused and realized they had screwed up. It was now 1:45 PM. I requested a refund. They were rude and unapologetic. One of them yelled, "have a good one!", to my back as I left. I was on my way to the hospital to visit a family member in the ICU; I ordered ahead, so I could grab it and go. It's just pathetic when a small business acts this way toward their repeat customers. They'll never succeed with this type of service and behavior. They don't deserve your business. Go somewhere else.
