After Hours Ramen

This place is so underrated! The unagi don was delicious and it came with salad and miso soup. The chicken nuggets and fries tasted like McDonald’s I used to have as a kid. And the vegetable tempura was very crispy. Service was attentive, it is affordable, and I will definitely be returning.

Really enjoyed this ramen place! The broth was super flavorful, the noodles were just the right texture, and everything tasted fresh. The pork was especially good, tender and packed with flavor. The vibe was relaxed, and the staff were really friendly. To top it off, our server gave us a complimentary ice cream at the end, which was such a nice surprise. Definitely coming back!

I had a great experience at this ramen café. The staff was very polite and welcoming. The ramen had a delicious homemade taste — the broth was rich yet delicate, and the pork was incredibly flavorful. The spice level was just right for me — not too strong, exactly what I was hoping for. Highly recommend!

The place has like a coffee/boba tea shop vibe and atmosphere but they serve some pretty buss ramen. Also ITS SO CHEAP!!! Would def recommend and come back!! + they gave some free ice cream at the end🤩

The nicest service ever! And they give complimentary little ice creams for dessert. We had the spicy tonkotsu ramen, pork chashu bowl, and tofu udon, and all were really yummy.

What a gem! The ramen was fantastic, rich, and flavorful - and the service was equally great. This was the first restaurant we chose on our San Francisco trip, conveniently located near where we were staying. What a find! The casual, low-key vibe was perfect. If you enjoy ramen, you will not be disappointed!! We can't wait to go back!

Tried this ramen spot in SF for the first time and it did not disappoint. The service was great! Our waiter was super nice and funny, I liked him a lot. Drinks and food came out pretty quick too, which is always a plus. I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and omg... SO good. The chashu pork had amazing flavor and literally melted in my mouth - I've never had that happen at a ramen place before. The soft-boiled egg was perfect, noodles were soft (but not mushy), and the broth had a rich flavor without being too much. We also ordered the potstickers and I really liked them, especially with the dipping sauce they gave us. Overall, it was a solid experience and I'd definitely go back. Would totally recommend this spot if you're in the area and craving ramen.

I've been wanting to try this spot because it's close to my home. It did not disappoint!!! The spot is small with seating for maybe about 15-20. The service was GREAT!! Super friendly and they made our order correctly! We got the tom yum udon (really good flavor and has a kick to it), spicy tonkotsu ramen (again really good flavor), shoyu garlic edamame, and we tried the lychee storm drink. We would totally order all of this food again!!! Also if you dine in you get a little bit of ice cream and mint on the the house! If you don't feel like leaving the house they have FREE DELIVERY within two miles of their place and as long as they're not super busy. This is truly a hidden little gem! Check them out and if you go to the farmer's market on Sundays by SI they have a stall there. FYI

We've been meaning to try this place out! We had take-out next door and peeked at their menu while passing by. It's been in my bookmarks. So we went for dinner one evening on a weekday. This spot has only about 7 tables, but we managed to snag a table around 7 pm. After looking at the menu, both of us wanted black garlic ramen, so we ordered 2 bowls. One bowl had a soft and jammy egg while the other was fully hard boiled. I guess the eggs are inconsistent for doneness? In any case, the broth was nice and garlicky. Noodles were well cooked and I liked the added toppings of corn, kikurage mushrooms, bamboo shoots, green onion and seaweed, but I found that the red pickled ginger could have been left out or off to the side as it didn't mesh well with the black garlic flavor. The menu stated bok choy as a topping, but I didn't see any. Even without it, there was still plenty in the bowl. When we got the bill, the lady also gave us 2 tiny scoops of mango ice cream in a plastic cup! That was a very nice after dinner sweet treat! All in all, it was a decent, satisfying bowl of ramen and we would come again! Maybe next time I'll try a boba drink too.

I agree with other reviewers that the broths here are surprisingly flavorful. It satisfied my need for ramen on a cloudy day but I wouldn't say it was my favorite ever. Service was nice and attentive, ambience was cute and cozy. Definitely a more Chinese take on ramen judging by the flavors. Not a terrible option.

IT'S AFTER 9P On a Sunday night.What can I eat if I don't want Thai. Humm.. I'll try Ramen. Had the spicy miso ramen....I thought it was good... flavor wasn't spicy to me, but it was tasty. I will order again and get some of the other bases. Looking forward to getting the Black truffle oil ramen. Alsii ordered onion rings while waiting... that one I wouldn't order again. First time coming here, my husband and I didn't know what to expect. Place is small and cozy. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food came out fast also the server was very respectful. Their menu is simple yet straightforward. You definitely won't have any problem navigating and making your choices on what to order. Food was fresh and made with care. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be coming back next time but along with our kids so they can try too.

Ordered takeout. Got the bbq pork over rice and shrimp tempura over rice, and appetizers, takoyaki balls and spam musubi. The rice bowls came with salad and miso soup which was a pleasant surprise. The takoyaki balls were a little on the soggy side but yummy. I will reheat on toaster oven to crispen them up. The musubi was good ... we got this at this at sunset farmers market and knew it was good. Will definitely be back. Came here when it first opened and am so glad it's still here. Gotta try the drinks next time.they looked really good.

Casual place, great service, properly gooey-cooked egg in the miso ramen, yummy takoyaki and garlic edamame. They even surprised my girls with little ice cream cups at the end. Will definitely be visiting at least weekly. We didn't take any pics as we were too busy eating.

So good! We were coming here to eat and escape the schlepping from zoo. We got the gyoza, edamame, and two ramen, one tonaktsu and one shoyu. These gyoza taste like they make them there! The ramen was delicious and the edamame was edamame. My husband also bought a honeydew boba. He absolutely loved it and the boba was so soft. It was a bit too sweet for me, but they have ways to ease the sweetness and the ice. The waitress basically read our damned minds because she was so fast. She was nice and highly efficient. We would come back here. Oh, she also brought us teeny little ice creams at the end of our meal! I don't have photos of the edamame, gyoza, or ramen because we were too hungry!

Ordered for delivery from here. Service was fast. Food arrived on time. I ordered the Popcorn Chicken, Gyoza, Spam Masubi, Miso Ramen, & the Freshly Mango Soda with Lychee Jelly. Everything I ordered tasted so good! Even when it was delivered, the food was still fresh. The ramen was very filling after all the appetizers. Loved it. I also would highly recommend the Freshly Mango drink. It's really refreshing! I would order again!

Delicious again. I give 5 because they are just so nice and attentive. This time I got the tempura udon. The tempura was nice and crispy and the shrimp was not over cooked. The soup was warm and the noodles springy. The tonkatsu tasted great, nice crunch and wonderful flavor and texture. Inside is bright and they even have a picture wall! Love the people inside and the food.

Boba and ramen and snacks? This is heaven! We got the spicy miso and the coconut shrimp. Everything was so good! We were so impressed by the quality of the broth, meat (flavorful and so soft that it melts in your mouth!), and noodles. The broth had just the right amount of spice, and the noodles had that perfect chew. The coconut shrimp was crispy and packed with flavor. The staff are super nice, and it's a cute little spot with cozy vibes. Seating is limited, but luckily, it wasn't too busy when we went. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially around the main street. But if you're okay with a short walk, finding a spot in the nearby residential area isn't too bad. Overall, definitely a solid ramen stop that we'll be back to visit!

Unassuming hidden gem that will just surprise you at how good the dishes are. You blink and almost miss this place. Their Black Garlic Oil Ramen is the bomb. The Miso Ramen with chasu pork, corn and mushrooms another must try. The Popcorn chicken and tempura udon are also some favorites. I love ordering their fizzy/boba drinks like Deep Blue Sea is a refreshing passion fruit and blue raspberry with club soda. Lychee storm also with club soda and Love in Peach are fun drinks. Their rice bowls are filling and delicious Chicken Terriyaki, Chasu Bowl, Salmon Bowl and BBQ Short Rib bowl over rice are all standouts. They have appetizers like gyoza, takoyaki, the agedashi tofu. Over all this place always satisfies my craving for Japanese and the staff is always friendly. They welcome you and service is exceptional!

Chicken karage was decent but probably the worst teriyaki salmon I've ever had. It was borderline jerky. If I was eating in the restaurant I would have sent it back. Luckily I had bought some meat from next door.

Craving ramen in the outer Sunset? Live near Ocean Beach? This is a great place for snacks and possibly a bowl of ramen. It's a satisfying bowl, but not super authentic, but it will hit the spot. This is a cute little neighborhood place, family run business. Inside is quite small, a few tables and there's also seating at the counter. Friendly service. We ordered the tempura (shrimp) udon & miso ramen. With our Yelp check in & spending over $30, we got a free boba drink. The food came out quickly. The ramen and udon were both okay dishes, however I noticed the tempura seemed more like the frozen type and not the light, crispy batter type. They not only serve ramen, but offer udon & rice bowls (donburi) and for light eaters/snackers, they have appetizers & small bites to choose from. Overall, it's worth checking if you are in the neighborhood.

Tasty food... fast and friendly service... great prices and portions... forgot my phone when I left and she ran out to catch me... so appreciated that! Just visiting San Francisco but I would be there every week if I lived here

The Food was fantastic the Garlic Oil Ramen had a strong but wodnerful flavor with generous toppings, the Tonkotsu Ramen as well had a delightfully warm broth that permeated my body. Their veggie tempura was also wonderful as well, overall food wise it was delightful. They also sell boba so just a bit of extra goodness. Service was fantastic too, the food came out in under ten minutes, everyone was friendly and quick. Lastly the decor was lovely perfect if you want a few insta or snap pics though the chairs they had were a little uncomfortable that is the only thing i can think of that was a negative. Everything else was fabulous. also the prices were quite fair as well.

Really loved our bowls from here on a cold rainy night. Just as comforting and good as any local ramen spot. Ramen options are lacking in this corner of the Sunset so I am grateful. We experienced fresh toppings & perfectly cooked noodles. Tasty broth, not too salty or greasy. We'll be back for sure.

very nice cute spot, got the spicy miso ramen and the inari udon with egg. both were very tasty and filling, service was quick and high quality. even though I thought I was full somehow found room for the complimentary ice cream after dinner. will definitely recommend :)

My first time here and I'm so happy to have found it. They have sit down, but I ordered my boba to go. The staff were sweet and the drinks came out quickly. I enjoyed the boba and the milk tea was perfect. The sweetness level and richness was great. I love the LED lights they have outside and inside!

The service truly by far the best. The lot stickes. Jeffrey loved them! .This place by far is spectacular we took photos ! Everything was so good, our first time out for ramen! The food was fresh, my kids loved the popcorn chicken, we all enjoyed different flavors of ramen, it was awesome! Very cute inside and though no coffee on the menu coffee is available!

Great spot to go in sunset! The food was delicious and fast. We got a ton of appetizer and then an entree. Everyone was happy! They also have eggless noodle substitute which was nice for my friend who has an egg allergy. I got the Hot & Sour Udon other got the Spicy Miso Ramen, Black Garlic Ramen, Eel bowl and more I can't remember. All were great! Hot & Sour is a mild-medium spice depending on tolerance. My friends raved about the pork in their ramen. The spam masubi was delicious and huge plus it came with 2. Gyoza & tempura (vegetable & shrimp were also great. Anything you get will probably be great. Service was nice and answered any questions you had. Can tell it was made fresh but didn't take too long.

The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is small and simple, but has good vibes. I came here with my girlfriend who is dairy free and gluten free and was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer rice noodle options ass well as milk alternatives for several of their drinks. The food came in large portions and quite reasonably priced. We had the miso ramen and tofu udon came with many the toppings w/out an up charge. We also got a taro almond milk tea with boba. The food was great and when we finished we were even given complementary ice cream/mints; 10/10 all around!

I honestly just came by to let traffic die down for my drive back home to gilroy and i found this little hidden gem. They were so sweet I came in for just a snacky snack, like fries which is all i ordered. Which were amazingly a big basket! The sweet lady of the restaurant gave me a complimentary ice cream while i was watching the warrior game without me even asking. Thats love and I felt it here. :)

Decided to skip cooking and had something simple. Service was fast, presentation was nice, food was yummy, price is a bit high for a neighborhood restaurant for its setting. 4 people, no drinks, no appetizer, $90. Were ordered 2 ramen, 1 udon and a rice. Restaurant can accommodate a few small parties, you have to walk past the service area to get to the bathroom.

This is my newest neighborhood drop in for all the right reasons. I've always hoped for a boba spot in walking distance. I'm happy to report that this family-owned business has just what I want and need: boba AND food options! I have been coming here since they opened a few months ago. It's close enough to home that I walk by almost everyday. The owners know me by name, always say hello, and are genuinely friendly. The boba drinks are solid. The After Hours Signature Milk Tea is your classic black milk tea. Not all black milk teas are created equal, but if you are looking for the one, this is it. It's all my husband and daughter order. I, on the other hand, will have other drinks depending on my mood. The Thai Iced Tea Latte is a regular for me, as is the Matcha Latte. The Matcha comes with options. I like all of the ones I've tried: strawberry, mango, passion fruit. Any of them make the perfect combination. You will not be disappointed. After Hours Cafe also has fun, colorful carbonated drinks that are delicious. Not many boba shops have soda/carbonated drink options! There different flavored tea options as well. As for the food, we mostly order the small bites, which are perfect for filling you up. The popcorn chicken and the fries are our regulars. I LOVE that they have spam musubi. The fried tofu is another good one. They recently added burgers to the menu which I ordered with cheese and fries. It was tasty and was the perfect amount for a meal. They have a cute decorative wall which makes it absolutely Instagram worthy. Come get your boba and snacks, have a seat, or take it to go and walk down to Ocean Beach for an oceanside picnic.

The Tonkatsu Ramen was good not too heavy, the pork was not over cooked. Only downside was the wait for the food and the portion of noodles were small.

This business just opened today and I think the rebranded themselves. This new owner serves boba, desserts and other snacks. My co-workers and I were one of the first customers and we were excited to see what they have to offer. The interior is super cute and i love how there's kind of like "bar" seating at a boba shop. You can just sit there and watch them make your drink. Since it's their first day, their selection is currently limited. Here's a selection of what was available Tea: After Hours Milk Tea Matcha Latte Brown Sugar Milk Tea Thai Tea Latte Fruit Tea: Lychee, strawberry, green apple, Mango, Peach, and rose Milk Cocoa Lava Taro Milk Honey Dew Fizz Deep Blue Sea, Apple Alert, Freshy Mango, Lychee Storm, Love in Peach My coworker got the After Hours Milk Tea and he loved it. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and tea for him My other coworker got the Deep Blue Sea and it as too beautiful to drink. The drink had a buzz to it and it is perfect with Lychee Jelly. I got the brown sugar milk tea and it was very silky to me, which reminded me of the milk teas in Hong Kong. The boba was very chewy with the right bounce. I know they are still working on the menu but i saw they had rice bowls with chicken and they mentioned they will have fried chicken as well. They haven't finalized their dessert menu yet but I'm excited to come back to try that out. The service was awesome and we talked to both of the employees what worked there and they were super excited that we were their first customers.

This is the first less than 5 star review I've publicly given. I was ready to give a 5, and then something bizarre happened (explained later). But first, I'll actually start off by saying trust this the best Raman / Asian noodle dish I've ever had. The indoor decor and lighting ambience are as modern and cute - but we took to outdoor table (I'm from NY visiting so outside seemed best.) Our waiter / owner? Pointed out be careful, the table is slanted but did nothing of it (the service went down from there). The food took forever and initially we were the only table, however a table of 4 joined soon after. We never saw the waiter since. Long story short we didn't tip because there was was absolutely no service (we brought in our own plates etc). He then proceeded to run outside 2-3 times and stare us down on our walk home.

Awesome food. Fried to perfection. Miso soup was delicious. Coming again. Takoyaki was amazing. French fries amazing. Ambiance amazing. Service amazing. Overall amazing.

Tried both tonkatsu ramen and tempura udon; both were delicious. Staff was also nice.

Saw someone posted on Facebook about this new ramen place in outer Sunset. Went to try it out last night. I ordered the black garlic oil ramen and husband got the tonkatsu ramen. Both orders turned out to be pretty good. Husband was especially happy with his order. Their charsiu is not the thin slices of meat but more like braised pork belly which will leave you feeling very full indeed. They also offered rice bowls, udons and lots of side dishes. Not hungry enough to try them out but will definitely visit again. Servers very nice and friendly.

Tonkatsu Ramen is excellent!!! Chicken nuggets and fries was a big hit with the kids as was the kalbi beef rice and shrimp tempura rice. Rice dishes come with miso soup and salad which was nice. Very family friendly, I love their wall of handwritten inspiring quotes. Service was friendly and they gave little scoops of ice cream after for free to everyone, perhaps due to mother's day. Definitely coming back

Ended the visit with free icecream that got sent in with the check! Service was quick and as soon as you come in they are really good to the customers. very welcoming and sweet. Environment was comfortable felt very nice to stay at. Food and milk tea's were DELICIOUS and very generous!!

Good variety of food here. Great soups, or you can opt for popcorn chicken, coconut shrimp, Calamari, etc. Have enjoyed food here every time I've ordered. Happy to have this diamond in the neighborhood!

Ordered at 6:41pm from their website. Ordered 4 entrees. Order was supposed to be ready at 7pm. Got here at 7. Wasn't that busy. Waited until 7:25pm. They didnt seem to apologetic about being almost 30 min late with the food. To cap it off, she called and said she forgot to pack something and asked us to come back. Had to go back after waiting 25 min. Went back, and she said a half ass sorry, handed me the food and turned around. Any decent service worker would have been very apologetic and maybe even offered something for the troubles. Not here. Food is mediocre.

Picked up takeout on a rainy Saturday night. It hit the spot. Definitely will go again.
