Afterglow

A very cool curated space, decor, lighting, scent. I started with a cappucino, luscious creamy and the coffee flavor was rich .. from an Italian espresso drinker that is saying something! then I had the goat cheese pastry.. flaky and deliscious.. see pics.. followed by 5 min brew of remembrance tea. A tea woodsy, with notes of rosemary lovely warming.. The staff here really cares about the quality of what you are drinking. Christian is personable, polite, friendly, a breath of fresh air and he can make beautiful designs on your coffee foam! LOL. Thank you after/glow! PS: lots of seating.. outdoor/indoor

We’ve stopped by a couple of times. Once was for an iced coffee. We were so impressed that we came back for breakfast. We live nearby and will happily add Afterglow to our breakfast/coffee rotations. One of the best chocolate croissants. Iced coffee with homemade syrup is fab. Nice to grab smoothies too.

This is one of the coolest coffee shops in town by far!! I love the Asheville themed hotel by Hilton that the coffee shop is located inside. It has amazing vibes. They have a huge chandelier in the lobby with amazing AVL inspired artwork on the walls to view while you sip your coffee. Or you can sit on their luxury couches under the chandelier, or you can sit at the coffee countertop which turns into a bar at night which is neat. Or you can sit outside along the sidewalk over looking the mountainous beautiful river arts district. It is dog friendly and they even have treats and a water bowl for our furry friends! I got the salted cinnamon mocha, and the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. Natalia was our barista and she was very knowledgeable and kind. She handcrafted my drink to perfection. She stated that they have a pastry chef who makes all of their pastries from scratch and that all of their food items are from locally sourced ingredients from NC. The breakfast sandwich is huge!!!! And the biscuit wasn’t your typical biscuit, it was all natural and still just as delicious! And it’s enough for someone to split, which was nice because i just HAD to try my brothers goat cheese and roasted tomato croissant pocket which was very flaky and melt in your mouth. The best ever!!!! I hope they don’t ever get rid of those pockets ;) or this coffee shop!! Thanks!! See you again soon!

On of the most interesting places to DJ and listen to music, the lighting and projection projects were awesome to create. Definitely the best places to take pics.

Idk how I never found this place on google, y’all gotta bump up the marketing here because this place is awesome ! With the whole building combined with art all over and amazing drinks. We got to sit in different locations on the roof and inside and it’s very stylish!

Love this place. Stopped in on a trip to Asheville while touring the arts district. The coffee was amazing, decor was comfy and sweet, and circa 2000 playlist nostalgic. Highly recommend.

Dang good cappuccino and great spot to hang out.

We were staying in the area for a weekend getaway and ended up coming here two of the mornings haha!! The coffee was fantastic and their goat cheese pastry....I'm still thinking about it. It's such a cool little spot that turns into a cocktail bar at night and they have it decorated really fun. Such a cute spot but a great, quick breakfast!

We 1st went for after dinner drinks. There is a DJ above the bar. The service is good it is a great place to come to relax wasn't crowded compared to the rooftop bar. They have an elevator for wheel chairs & an entrance to the out side too separate from hotel lobby. We came back next morning to get coffees & a large cinnamon bun they can heat it for you. I also got a sausage & cheese sandwich which was large & very good. But they only make a few so may run out . It's a cool edgy vibe. Good for couples or singles.

Afterglow is a the coffee shop/ cocktail bar that is part of the Radical Hotel in the River Arts District. It has a nice coffee selection, pastries, a couple breakfast options, cookies... Barista was great. The place has a modern/industrial vibe. They have a couple tables outside, and the inside has access to the hotel lobby, which is very comfortable. They serve the full coffee menu until 3pm and the transition to the cocktail menu with a few basic coffee options. We had the salted Mochiato, and a drip. Loved this place!

Date of visit: September 19, 2024 As I was leaving the Radical, I could use a coffee and stopped into the coffee shop at the hotel, called Afterglow. Clever name, amazing and artistic decor, terrible coffee. Staff was friendly and when a co-worked and I both wanted Honey Lavender Cappuccinos, they advised that they only had enough for about half of one. That seemed a bit off at 1015 am, but they said that they could adjust the ingredients and make them work, so I told them to go ahead--I'd never had it here to know the difference anyway! Well, I may not know if they managed to get it to taste the way it normally does, I just know that what it did taste like was not good! Had I known, I would have tried something else or dealt with the caffeine headache.

Barrel aged old fashioned on the menu, chill vibes, comfy seats, friendly tenders, and a killer DJ spinning mad beats in a giant chain link sphere. Pretty great spot for a couple of drinks. Go find it.
