Afternight BBQ

So good that I don’t even remember to take a photo until I finished a lot of food! All are well seasoned and in a good portion. The stormy potato, lamb, dumplings are especially good, (eat while the lamb is hot, the fat tastes best at that time), scallion pancakes are a lil too oily but really crispy. Only thing is the water tastes like soap, I know they put lemon in it but it also has a mild detergent smell. But overall would definitely recommend if you are a fan of flavorful and a lil oily barbecues!

I came here recently for dinner and had a great time-- so much so that I came back again in less than a week. This new Chinese skewer spot in LIC is open until 4am and is a great late night spot. You order on an iPad here and they bring the food out to you. Service is pretty quick and you can definitely do walk-in. Because they are a newer spot, they don't have as much selection as some other skewer spots I've been to (but hopefully they'll start to offer more later!). I ordered a variety of skewers as well as their noodles and dumplings. The size of the meat pieces were really big and so the meat was juicy! The noodles were also solid and I enjoyed their dumplings. Would definitely come back more often and cannot wait to see how they continue to improve as they're open longer!

I’ve been here 3 days in a row last week. No idea how, but the skewer is cooked super tender. I usually get the beef skewer, chicken cartilage, chicken hearts, and Taiwanese sausage. The only drawback backs is that food gets cold quickly, so do not order too much all in once. Be good if they have something to keep the food warm on tables.

The tofu skin with coriander was disappointing, the tofu skin seemed uncooked and had an unpleasant texture. Not a good experience… but chicken skewers were good.

So Good! Loved the BBQ — super tasty and full of flavor! The place was also really clean, which I really appreciate. Will definitely come back again!

Amazing - best bbq / skewers in the neighborhood! The beef skewers and the pork belly wrapped enoki mushrooms are fantastic. We will be back with a larger group!

Came here after an event with a group of 6 people. It's a very straight forward concept of late night munchie skewers. They have a variety of skewers that you can order from a tablet. The food took quite a while for it to come. Quality of the food was great! Price-wise, you're basically expecting to pay LIC prices. Otherwise very decent late night spot. I was told they do last call around 3am.

Highly recommend if you're craving real Chinese-style skewers! I just tried Afternight BBQ in LIC and it's definitely my new go-to for Chinese BBQ. The food is super authentic. My favorite is the beef skewers, perfectly seasoned and grilled just right. Also loved the spicy shredded potatoes and the shrimp skewers. It's a great late-night spot and already feels like one of the hottest new places in the neighborhood. Plus, they're opening a KTV called Afterlife right next door later this month. Perfect BBQ + karaoke hangout spot!

Wow. I was shocked by how flavorful, juicy, and crispy these skewers were. They were well seasoned and even my Chinese friend said they were better than all the places she had in CA and some in China. My favorites were the beef, pork belly with enoki mushroom, shredded potatoes, and brown sugar rice cakes. Each bite was a flavor explosion in my mouth, I loved it. Tender meats + spice + cumin = YUM. The brown sugar rice cakes had a crispy exterior with a mochi like interior and was topped with a lightly sweet brown sugar sauce and what I assume is peanut powder. Whatever it was, the dessert was delicious. The lamb and quail eggs were solid too. They are light on the spice so go higher on the levels. Service was great and it's a perfect spot for a casual lunch, dinner, or late night snack. I would highly recommend coming to AfterNight BBQ. I'll definitely be back.

This is what LIC has been missing: a late night skewer shop with a satisfying selection of alcholic beverages. Sure hit the spot last night when my crew rolled through after midnight and proceeded to eat up and down the menu. The prices are a smidge higher than what you'd pay at a cart but the convenience of dining inside makes it all worth it. Super happy that this place has opened, and the adjacent karaoke venue seems lit, too.
