You immediately feel transported into a refined, quintessentially British atmosphere where every detail speaks of tradition and sophistication. As for the service, we were looked after by Leonardo, who embodies the very essence of refinement and professionalism. His presence is discreet, precise and effortlessly elegant. Alongside him, David, with his charming Spanish accent and warm kindness, almost transports you to the orange groves of Málaga. Together, they deliver a level of hospitality that is both rare and memorable. The food itself is nothing short of culinary artistry. Every bite is perfectly executed, balanced and delicate. Everything is designed to ensure you experience one of the most unforgettable moments of your life — a precious, elegant interlude that feels unmistakably British. A truly unforgettable experience.

Amazing experience and a treat for every afternoon tea enthusiast. The room is beautifully decorated and the service is outstanding - the waiting staff was a pleasure to be around, competent and made sure that we are well looked after. The food was not the most memorable, however I can’t fault the quality and presentation. Lovely selection of teas as well. I recommend for the overall experience as we had a wonderful time.

Even if this had been my very first afternoon tea experience, I still wouldn’t have been impressed. For a venue with such an iconic reputation, the overall experience fell surprisingly short of expectations. Service was the biggest disappointment. It took quite a while for anyone to even offer me a glass of water, let alone take my order. I ultimately had to flag someone down. The waitress who served me was genuinely sweet, but it was obvious she was completely overworked—far too many tables for one person. As an example, I ordered a glass of champagne, but it arrived long after my food had already been served. The tea itself was also delayed until after the food was on the table, which really threw off the pacing. The food, while nicely presented, was just average. The scones were fine but not memorable, the sandwiches were definitely not the best I’ve had, and the desserts—though pretty—didn’t stand out in flavor. For the price and the prestige associated with The Savoy, the experience should feel special, seamless, and refined. Unfortunately, it didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for high tea, especially when there are other London venues that truly deliver the quality and service this one lacked. For an excellent experience worth the price tag go to The Shard or The Mandarin.

When we were last in London they were undergoing a renovation and you can certainly tell as the fit out is exemplary. The Christmas decorations were also resplendent but the service was certainly not on par with that of other iconic London establishments. As an afternoon tea enthusiast who has tried pretty much all of the prestigious places to have high tea all over the world this was fundamentally lacking which was disappointing considering the price point. I did appreciate that there is a champagne free high tea option however as many other high teas don’t give you the choice which is costly if you would prefer to stick to tea

We had the afternoon tea and the experience was overall very pleasant. The ambience is what really stands out - it’s luxurious and classic. Food wise, it’s decent but not exceptional. Service was polite, though a bit less attentive than expected, possibly because it was quite busy when we visited. The price is slightly on the higher side, but it’s clear you’re really paying for the setting more than anything else. Still, it’s a beautiful place to spend an afternoon in London.

The setting and ambience are clearly second to none. With piano player to finish it off. The food and choice of teas however probably left us feeling a little underwhelmed, from a variety sta point. The waiting staff were nice but kept spilling the tea on our table, so would have preferred to serve ourselves. It was probably a once and done situation for us.

Savoy Tea is the ULTIMATE luxury afternoon tea experience. During my trip to London I knew I had to go all out for an afternoon tea experience. I actually told my boyfriend he can go do something else if he wasn't into it, but he said he would come along and be my loyal photographer. Goals! I made our reservation on Open Table for the Savoy Tea experience for the Gallery at the Savoy as soon as we began planning our trip. Even on a weekday they were pretty booked. I know cause I overslept and when I called when to move my reservation I was only able to push it back 15 minutes. Thankfully everything worked out and I got to my appointment on time. Upon arrival the hostess took our coats so that we can be comfortable for our experience. She welcomed us to our seats in a nice private corner. We were so lucky to sit in Wini's section. Since we said it was our first time there and my boyfriend's first afternoon tea experience, she explained everything thoroughly to guide us for the optimal experience. Wini is amazing. During our time there, Ione also came around and helped refill out teas, Archie cleared our plates, and there was another female staff member from Portugal who came by to give well wishes and even provided some travel tips. This whole team is incredible! We decided to get the Afternoon Tea (£90/person) experience that comes with a selection of traditional sandwiches and savoury bites, signature Savoy scnes, and seasonal handmade afternoon tea pastries. The experience comes with a pot of tea per person. We got to get our own pots of teas. They have a great selection of black tea, green tea, oolong tea, white tea, fruity and floral tea, flowering tea, and herbal infusions. My boyfriend went with the Savoy Afternoon Tea blend to get the true experience. I started with the Flowering Jasmine & Lily and then when I finished that pot went onto the Earl Grey. For the traditional sandwiches and savoury bites, they served a traditional coronation chicken on a malbran bread, spiced st ewe egg on white bread, cucumber on spinach bread, British salt beef on granary bread, Scottish smoked salmon on a brioche, and organic baked butternut squash in a savory tart. Yummmm. They were all delicious and creative. These are bottomless and you can request as many as you'd like. My boyfriend's favorite was the British salt beef and my favorite was definitely the coronation chicken. Yummm! As for the housemade Savoy scones, these were accompanied by cornish clotted cream, strawberry jam, and lemon curd. I love the accompaniments but I don't love the cones. I am lucky to have a local farm to table afternoon tea concept near home who executes better scones. The tea pastries were a work of art. There was a jasmine and red currant, apple and custard, chocolate and hazelnut, and a blue lady earl grey and blackberry. When you cut into the cross sections they were perfectly even. A true craft executed by a highly skills pastry chef. Absolutely incredible. The Savoy Tea afternoon tea experience was no doubt a splurge but it was worth it to me because it was something I enjoy and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was amazing and the service was incredible. Wini truly did everything to ensure that we enjoyed our time at the Savoy. I am very grateful for the experience.

I've been to many teas around London, and while this one was nice, it's not my fav. The service was slow at times, so it was a bit frustrating when we wanted to refill our teas or try something new. The food was very nice. Liked the flavors, but nothing out of the ordinary. I think given the price and the hotel it's in I would have expected a bit more.

Walking in, the place reminds me of a dated country club. There are large murals of ballet dancer silhouettes in shades of tan and peach all over the walls that are just confusing. I felt like a passenger on a cruise ship. For a locale as recognized as the Savoy, I would have expected a more modern, or even a more regally historical, ambience. The tea room is stuck somewhere in the 80s. The decor alone is enough for me to reconsider a repeat visit. Service was fine, the uniforms of the servers kept up with the dated country club vibe. I poured my own tea after the first cup was served, which may be attributed to change of shift halfway through our service and a general discombobulated canter of the meal. For the price, I was underwhelmed with the Savoy. There are too many other upscale places to drop £350 on tea for me to recommend this one.

Having high tea while in London was something I have never dodne in many trips. It is expensive (especially when you convert it back to Canadian dollars) but it was worth every penny. The room it is served in is stunning - very opulent. The service was outstanding. All the staff made you feel appreciated and special. And the tea itself was delightful. It was too much food so they boxed up our left over treats. It was a wonderful experience and even though my husband came as it was on my list of things to do, he also thoroughly enjoyed it. We would highly recommend.

With so many choices in London, treat yourself to the most famous and traditional afternoon British tea service since 1889 at the Savoy Hotel. It is a wonderful experience where you will be treated and feel extra special. The Thames Foyer dining room is stunningly beautiful with a live pianist that adds to the elegance of the afternoon tea experience. The tea sandwiches were excellent and you can request more of them if you have a particular favorite or just hungry for more. The desserts and scones with clotted cream and jam all hit the right note. All the traditional tea menu items that are expected are featured and perfectly executed with impeccable service. This tea service is clearly on the expensive side. The traditional afternoon tea will run you about US$110. We had the Laurent Perrier Heritage champagne with our tea service and the total bill for 2 came to about US$325. It was a once in a lifetime experience and treat, though, that I won't forget for my birthday celebration.

Just Breakfast for us 2 days, but what an amazing place to enjoy breakfast! And a hint, if you haven't had an English muffin in England do miss out! The service as with all things at the Savoy is truly exceptional, the food was wonderful. I'm a porridge guy, but live to add berries! Which they did accommodate marvelously. And we do enjoyed our conversations with the waiters! Thank you for a very memorable breakfast and stay!

What a wonderful treat for High Tea! The best service you will ever have in a true high end feel. Elegant decorations around combined with a masterful selection of teas and little bites! High tea runs about $100 for adults and $50 for kids but will be an experience you won't forget.

Having afternoon or high tea at the Thames Foyer located at the Savoy is like having tea in the drawing room of the Bridgerton drawing room. This place is both exquisite and classic. From the fancy gazebo at the center of the room to the soft pianist playing the sweetest song it definitely sets the stage and ambiance. They offer over 30 different teas to accompany your savory and sweet delights. I enjoyed the savory tarts along with the variety of finger sandwiches and scones with its lemon curds, fresh jams, and clotted cream. The desserts were work of arts and tasted just as heavenly. Service was impeccable! Definitely an experience to try when visiting London.

This review is for the restaurant where customers take their tea: it functions as a normal restaurant after. We ate dinner there. It is very comfortable with excellent service but overpriced. Menu is unexceptional though everything is high-quality of course. It really has nothing to recommend it at those prices.

A very rich experience in the Savoy Hotel. The hotel itself is the antithesis of the stereotypical British design of understated, quiet luxury. No. The hotel screams luxury. The tea is served in a large open room with a piano player in the center in a platformed gazebo. The food was good. It wasn't the best food I've had during an afternoon tea. It was ok. The staff also seemed to rush us or give us an attitude if we asked for a different tea. The place was beautiful, the food was ok, and the service was subpar, which was disappointing considering the amount of money you're paying.

When in London, you must partake in tea time! This is a prestigious location in the Covent Garden district just an 8 minute walk from Trafalgar Square. You must make a reservation and you won't regret it. The experience here was astounding and one of the best; I'll never forget it. My girlfriend and I ordered the Traditional Afternoon Tea which gives you more options for sweets. The boys ordered the Traditional High Tea which came with more dense meals, less sweets, and a choice of quail breast or poached duck egg. I got to try both the quail breast and egg and I'll have to say the quail breast was better, but my friend preferred the poached egg (she's a sucker for truffle oil). They gave us seconds of the sandwich platters as well which we didn't realize was an option. Each person gets to choose a tea of their choice. You can swap your tea out if you'd like to try a different one. There are cute brown and white sugar cubes to sweeten your tea to your liking and a milk jug to splash in. My girl friend and I tried their competition winner, Organic Darjeeling 1st Flush, and boy did we get the Asian flush! It was strange because after a while, we both felt hot like we were drunk but sober simultaneously. We had to stop drinking it after a while! I enjoyed it until I felt flush haha, I probably wouldn't get it again. Of the sandwiches, our favorites were the Chicken Coronation (Indian flavored) and the Herb-Roasted Prime Sirloin. We all agreed the cucumber just tasted weird. The treats were all enjoyable. The scones came with strawberry jam, homemade lemon curd, and wait for it... their cornish clotted cream!!!! Okay my friends don't get it but there's something about the milk in Europe that makes their cream/butter taste so heavenly... I'm not gonna lie, I straight up had a tiny spoonful of full clotted cream and I am not ashamed! It was so good.. Okay I'm rambling.. lets get back on track... Of the sweets, my favorites were the Madeleine (Iranian Pistachio Praline), Earl grey tea cakes, and the cube (Hazelnut Cake -yo this one tasted JUST LIKE a Ferrero Rocher but better with high quality ingredients). When we were leaving they asked if we wanted our leftovers to-go (I guess here the correct term they use is "takeaway"). We didn't realize it until we got home, but they actually packed us extra sweets along with 3 bottles of their house made jam! I think one of the ladies overheard my friend saying we should box the leftovers because we didn't have time for breakfast in the morning. The waitresses had a strong attention to detail and their kindness was genuine. I felt like they were delicate flowers that turned into a human. PROS: cloakroom service, impeccable and attentive staff, clean, beautiful decor with fresh flowers (picture worthy), wonderful food, bathrooms so clean and lavishly decorated that all the foreigners were taking pictures, and you can't forget the cornish clotted cream CONS: Cucumber sandwich tasted weird but that's about it!

I'm a tea girl. Every morning. Afternoons if I'm feeling bold. So, naturally, when I go to London, I book a high tea. The tea selection itself was impressive. The quality of the sandwiches and scones were top notch. I was less impressed by the dessert options. Lots of fruits in dessert- not my cup of tea. The decor was beautiful but felt a bit dated. *whispers, I think I liked Claridge's tea better*

Finally got to try high tea! What better way of trying it for the first time directly in London! Service was excellent. The waiter was helpful, checked on us many times to make sure everything was good. He also asked if we wanted refills for any of the sandwiches we liked. The staff was super sweet and came out with a birthday card sending well wishes. We got the fixed menu. It came with many varities of sandwiches, which were all delicious. Come hungry, because the meal is a good size portion. The pastries they give out on the tour is massive. The tea was on the stronger side but it had a lovely flavor. I recommend making reservations online a few weeks early to ensure you get a seat. Come at your exact time booked because they don't seem to seat people if you get there early. It was a great welcome meal to London!

I really enjoy afternoon tea. It transports me straight into the historical fictions that I love to read about England. The Savoy puts on the perfect tea in the perfect room for the complete afternoon tea experience. And if you want something a bit stronger than tea, champagne is the perfect complement to tea sandwiches, scones and pastries. Finger sandwiches are a staple at tea, but the best part is the scones with the clotted cream and the assorted pastries. However, I'm a savory girl, and the one if the Savoy tea menus includes Tuna Tartare on a Crostini as well as Poached Salmon with Caviar. Needless to say, I did really need dinner later. There is also a Vegetarian Menu, and it's great to have that as an option. We were seated in an area with sofas and a coffee table which was super comfy, and I would request that again. The whole experience was made complete with the piano music in the background.

Wow, what can you say about tea at the Savoy? Probably not much that hasn't been said before! This has to be one of the premiere teas in London. Every detail is attended to in that formal way from the moment you sit down. The Thames Foyer itself is stunning with a piano in the middle and interesting portraits of American actors on the wall. The food (oh the food!) are some of the best tea sandwiches I've ever had - my personal favorite was the roast beef w horseradish. The scones were divine and the desserts plentiful. They also have a little shop just outside the tea room where you can purchase additional sweets to take home. Just a lovely way to spend a few hours in London in this historic hotel. HIGHLY recommend for any tea enthusiast but be sure to book far ahead as it's quite popular.

During our trip to London, my wife and I really wanted to do traditional afternoon tea. We couldn't have picked a better place than the Savoy Hotel. Their afternoon tea was everything you could ask for. The well-made, delicious finger sandwiches and desserts that accompanied the tea along with the exceptional service. Not to mention the tea itself was excellent.

Having Afternoon High Tea in London is one of those things you just have to do once in your life. The usually iconic places for afternoon high tea are Claridges, The Savoy Hotel, The Wolseley, The Saint James Hotel, Fortnum and Mason's, Sketch, The Mandarin Oriental - go visit the Secret London website for other, more unique suggestions since it changes every year. My first choice was Claridge's but it was fully booked for the week I was in London but luckily I was able to get reservations at The Savoy. I also remembered being an 11 year old Durannie (fan of Duran Duran) and recalling that keyboardist Nick Rhodes married at the Savoy's ballroom back in 1984 in an Art Deco all-pink wedding including live flamingoes so I was happy to come here instead. Service is exceptional. The servers take a note of your name and address you by your name. The sandwiches were great, I really loved the curried chicken sandwiches. As soon as you finish one batch, they bring you even more. I also had the main which was salmon with caviar drizzled on top. That was followed by the fresh-out-of-the-oven scones and pastries, which came with clotted cream, fresh jam and orange curd. And of course endless pots of tea. How can you not like that? The only reason I'm taking one star off is because I was disappointed with how some of the other patrons were dressed. The Savoy reservation makes it very clear that you should be dressed as "smart casual", so when you make an effort to dress a little more upscale than normal to come here for tea and you see these slobs walking in, in running shoes, sloppy jeans and look more like they are doing a milk-run to Walmart...it's disappointing.

Savoy has a beautiful ambiance very vibrant; the pianist was pleasant to listen to while enjoying tea. The vanilla black tea was exceptional no cream or sugar needed. However, the finger sandwiches were mediocre. Pumpkin quiche is so lovely, not overbearing, perfect amount of goat cheese and a hint of pumpkin. Shrimp quiche tastes almost like a Mexican Ceviche dish, lemony and fishy. Not very appealing to look at either Roast beef sandwich is something you can make at home The chive in the sandwich gives a little kick but nothing to write home about Chicken sandwich : has a curry/ Indian flavor taste to it if you're not a fan of Indian cuisine this one is not for you Egg salad sandwich: is simple yet takes you back to a time or place when you were young and carefree as strange as that may sound Cucumber sandwich : bread cream cheese and cucumber the lemon on the cucmener is overwhelming quite sour if you ask me Salmon cream cheese bread nothing out of the ordinary no catching flavors Plan scone with custard and jelly is a little piece of heaven simple yet delicious Lemon cake : I'm honestly not a fan of any pasty lemon flavored I can't seem to like the sweet and tart flavoring together however the lemon in this cake is subtle the custard:mouse make this exceptional Ginger cake: eh nothing to it Mango cake: dreamy Perfect amount of mango cream and cake Hazelnut cake: Thick light crisp of chocolate and hazelnut cream/mouse filling cake is a bit dry

Up front, I have to say that I am not their target audience. I came here because my wife wanted to--and it was a highlight of her trip. It was not a highlight of mine. Here's why: First, the place is either beautiful or gaudy, depending on your perspective. I was of the latter opinion. Second, it all felt sort of fake to me. It was like we were playing at being British high society from the 19th Century, and nothing about it made me comfortable. Everyone spoke in hushed voices, everyone was a little to obsequies, it all felt a bit off. But I could forgive all of that IF they just did one thing, made good tea. At the end of the day, it's the most expensive tea experience I will ever have, they should have amazing tea. But they didn't. I got a jasmine tea, which was really weak (partially because they didn't steep it enough). Then they reloaded the same tea with hot water, multiple times, which only further weakened the tea. I've had some amazingly subtle and complex jasmine teas, this was far from one. And yes, it was recommended to me by the waiter. My wife's English Breakfast tea was bitter and, by the end of our time there, completely over steeped. The sandwiches are also not my style. They all come with mushy bready and equal parts meat/fish/veggies and some sort of condiment (horseradish/creme fraiche/mayo). Think about that. There's a reason why condiments shouldn't be the main ingredient, having them in equal parts just makes no sense. Ok, here's the good. The service was fairly great. They re-filled things, they came by frequently, they were very nice. It was all very genteel. The pianist who played the grand piano in the middle of the room was incredibly talented and played her own twist from popular movie themes, which became a game for us to identify. But the best part was the dessert. Those things are no joke. They were delicate, nuanced, and incredibly flavorful. Easily the best desserts I've had in London. So if you're into this type of thing and you want to spend a stupid amount of money on it, then you should probably check it out. But unless they drop the sandwiches, halve their prices, learn how to serve tea, or--better yet--just change the name to Desserts at the Savoy; I probably won't be back.

Beautiful lobby for high tea, definitely a little touristy and a bit over priced but the afternoon tea was good. Service seemed a little rushed/frantic but they were very kind.

I can not describe how perfect my experience at the Savoy was recently. It was my first time, and I will definitely be back. The Savoy is gorgeous with marble doors and gorgeous interior decorating. The tea room is large, spacious, and yet still charming and quaint. In the center of the room there is a small gazebo where a live pianist is there to entertain you. After you've sat down, it's time to select your teas. I tried the standard white tea with rose petal infusions. It was absolutely divine. To accompany the tea, they bring out a dessert tower with pastries that complement perfectly. I felt like a princess!

The good: - Gorgeous location, transports you to another time - Tea and food were delicious The bad: - Really impersonal service - we were quite surprised by this given how well this particular afternoon tea is reviewed - Price - (100 pounds / person) - we knew it would be expensive, but expected a more personal experience and more service for this price Would definitely opt for another afternoon tea next time.

Afternoon tea with superb service, without being stuffy. Lot's of options including vegan choices, and the option of adding champagne. I will definitely go back for afternoon tea in the future

Was there the first week of Nov 2023, since when does T service has a container of sugar and not sugar cubes with little tongues to pick them up? Since when a real T room does not offer a variety of tea flavors to order at least 2 teapots without asking? The presentation of the tea sandwiches was subpar, a little effort could have gone a long. Had looked forward for this, expecting something amazing, out of this world! Found better tea service in so many quaint towns and not so quaint in the UK. And actually if you go to Harrods not for tea time which I am sure it would be out of this world, at their food court sit at the bar in the AM and the scones and the tea was far superior. If you ever are in Albuquerque NM a place called the Saint James tea room, will make you feel that you are in a Victorian setting with private rooms or library rooms and the girls dressed up in full costume, is not worth $$$

I went during November, and the place was decorated very beautifully. The food was good, and the service was great. The server tried his best to accommodate all needs. It was a very pleasant experience.

We wanted to do an afternoon tea while we were in London- we had never done one. I couldn't have picked a better place! We had the most perfect experience. We ordered the vegan sandwiches and desserts and our son had the traditional. One glass of champagne was included with our tea (we ordered one extra) and juices were included with my son's tea. The selection of sandwiches were wonderful and the wait staff explaining the sandwiches were so helpful and knowledgeable. The vegan desserts were amazing. We sat right next to the pianist and later a live singer came- the music and songs were lovely and not overpowering. I would recommend this place to anyone. We went in knowing it was about 75 pounds each (there were 3 of us). It ended up costing $400- You obviously have the option of paying in USD. Worth every cent!

Wow! What a luxurious afternoon tea experience. Such a gorgeous location and phenomenal service. So much attention to detail yet not feeling too snooty/stuffy. We loved everything, food was delicious and very filling. Tea was so good too, I had the rose petal one and it was so delicate and refreshing. Very pricy but expected! Before coming to London I researched many places and I'm so glad we ended up here, it was perfect!

Great high tea experience! Excellent service and great ambiance with pianist. Beautiful historic hotel. We ended up going back to The Savoy to enjoy drinks at the bar, which did not disappoint!

My mom and I were in London for a couple days and wanted to find the perfect place to do high tea. We looked at several different places but none compared to the Savoy. It was super fancy but it was the perfect British afternoon tea experience. The dining room was beautiful and so was the table set up. The tea was delicious and usually I'm not a huge tea fan. The tea comes with scones with jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches, and a dessert tray. The scones were fluffy and the dessert plate was decadent. My favorite part was the finger sandwiches. I didn't expect them to be as good as they were but I wanted a full sandwich of every single one. This place was worth the price in my opinion if you're looking for a fancy London experience!

My husband had an absolutely incredible experience at The Savoy for afternoon tea!  The service was simply spectacular.  The afternoon began with our gracious host, Maria, greeting us and seating us at our table, which was perfect.  For our afternoon tea service, we had the pleasure of working with Veronica and Valeria.  Both of these ladies were very knowledgeable about teas, tradition, and made excellent recommendations.  We tried the traditional afternoon tea from The Savoy which was marvelous, as were the sandwiches and sweets!  The Savoy even provided us with a celebratory dessert for our special occasion!  We honestly cannot recommend The Savoy enough for their afternoon tea service.  It was elegant, the staff members were extremely attentive, and the selection of teas and treats were endless!  We cannot wait to patronize The Savoy again during our next visit to London.  A very special thank you to Veronica, Valeria, and Enzo!

We came here based off of the reviews, but please don't fall into the trap! The worst place to spend upwards of $300-400 for a few mediocre sandwiches and watered down tea. At first they did not even have our reservation on file, we had to pull up our confirmation email and still they could not find it. They seated us anyway as we happened to come during the evening. The service was awful as we had to serve ourselves multiple times and catch our waiters attention just to order or receive our meal. They never checked on us or ask if we needed anything else. The sandwiches were nothing special and the tea was not steeped long enough. Being the most expensive and lavish tea parlor you'd assume their tea was at alright. Waste of money!! Do not go to this place unless you enjoy throwing your money out the window.

Really nice scones and sandwiches together with the desserts. Savoy also provides me with a little birthday cakes and music.

As someone who has a love for afternoon tea, I was really excited for my afternoon tea at the Savoy. The atmosphere at this amazing hotel was great. Such a beautiful space to enjoy an afternoon. Tea and food were pretty good too. However, I was underwhelmed at the service. While I'm all for being left alone to enjoy my meal, I was unable to get the attention of our server for over 45 minutes while she was cleaning up all around us. This was a bit frustrating, but overall still a good experience.

Wanted a high tea experience during the stay in London. The service was fabulous, environment was lovely, and the food is good, but not to my expectation (would personally prefer some small and boutique dessert stores in London)

Had high tea at 3 celebrating my daughters upcoming birthday. Beautiful tea room with live Grand piano. Amazing staff from the maitreD to head server. 8 pages of tea selection. Started with our choice of tea - I copped out and just got the savoy blend- it was great but their earl grey was even better. Next was a birthday cake for my daughter with the piano playing happy birthday. Amazing finger sandwiches followed with scones, our savory course of poached eggs, asparagus, and shrimp. Cake selections followed by sweet breads. It took couple of hours to finish. It was a Perfect place to celebrate my daughters birthday.

This is the most posh tea room I've been to but it is worth it! It didn't even make the males in our party blush. And they were accommodating to the children I had with me. The seats were actually chairs and sofas and each reservation was just far enough fr one another that children or conversations are just far enough to hear. The food was scrumptious and I could have eaten the sandwiches the entire time, but the rest of the party wanted to move along to the next course. The sweets and scones were delicious too, but I'm a sandwich kind of person. I'll definitely go back again of ever in London again.

Did you ever want to feel like a princess in a movie? or feel posh the way royalty does? or just want to treat yourself to an amazing luxurious experience just because? Then, I suggest you stop in for afternoon tea at the Savoy. The decor is amazing, with flowers in vases that will look like they are pieces of art, to the gazebo that is tucked inside the central area of the dining room, to the enchanted setting that makes you feel that you are a world away from the busy streets of London - when you are only a few feet away. Once you are seated in this elegant dining area, the waiter or waitress brings you a menu filled with a myriad of tea options from the generic to the esoteric. You can even have a pick of different teas as the meal progresses. The tea stands are beautiful with the most delicate sandwiches, scones and pastries. The clotted creams and jams are to die for! The Savoy caters to all palates - from the vegan, to the vegetarian, to any allergies that a customer may have. At first, you will be deceived by how tiny the food is and will easily delude yourself into thinking that you will leave hungry; however, by the time you have made it to the pastries and your fifth cup of tea - you may want to take a nap right there in the gazebo from the food coma you will suffer! Pace yourself and give yourself a couple of hours to enjoy the environment, food and the spectacle of it all. This is not a run of the mill afternoon tea, it is a ritual and experience to behold! It is expensive, but worth every penny!

Best thing to do in London! Highly recommend. Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere to the delightful china. The tea was so good! I wish I could have had at least a few more pots of it. The scones were warm and amazing. The sandwiches were airy and fresh, not too filling. Of all the cakes my favorite was surprisingly the peanut butter chocolate one. I couldn't finish them all but took a taste and they were all fantastic. Can't wait to come back next trip!

The most impressive tea I've,had bested the Plaza in New York by a good distance. Food was dreamy.service impeccable. View was stunning. Felt like Dolly Levi at Harmonia Gardens in the movie Hello, Dolly! Worth every American Penny I sent.

This place is beyond amazing... First I am Whole Food Plant Based diet... They worked with us and got us an absolutely amazing High Tea party. Just loved the people, just loved the food...

Out of our 3-week vacation to Amsterdam, Paris and London, this afternoon tea lands in my top 3 experiences of the whole trip! It's pricey, yes, but so worth it. The servers are on it, the tea and food are delicious and the ambience is gorgeous. A quick tip that they don't tell you about: schedule this as a full meal - it's all-you-can-eat. Also, make a reservation!

Savoy tea is great for high tea if your visiting London. The venue is beautiful and everyone is very polite! I would highly recommend checking this place out!

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Savoy! They went above and beyond to accommodate our food allergies (dairy, tree nuts and sesame). The tea, scones, dairy free cream, finger sandwiches and desserts were all delicious. Our children enjoyed the experience as well. We picked Savoy for tea to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday. From the States, we wanted special, traditional experience. And Savoy delivered. Beautiful tea room, with great music from a pianist.
