Great options. Dubai and cookie monster flavors. Perfectly creamy though the wood spoon was a bit rough on the tongue so be warned. Very friendly service

As good as it’s advertised. We stumbled across this advertising years ago and while in the area we had to give it a try and it was amazing. Triple C, Cookie Monster and Salty O’s in a doughnut. All of them were delicious.

After two years, I finally came back to Afters and it made my whole day 🥹 The worker was SO sweet—greeted me right away, let me try samples (bless her), and then noticed I looked a little torn about my Milk & Cereal pint because I reallyyy wanted the cereal crunch too. She just offered to add some for me 🥺 Like it was no big deal, but it meant a lot. 10/10 service. 12/10 ice cream. Even better than I remember—so tasty and creamy! And yes… I got my crunch hehe.

I’m usually a huge fan of Afters, I personally love it and have always had a great experience. Until today. I got a milky bun, not glazed, with Ube Brownie. Something I’ve had plenty of times, but this trip was SO disappointing! There was maybe half a scoop of ice cream in the bun, and the second I picked it up it’s immediately dropped majority of that ice cream into the bag. I had two solid bites that actually had the ice cream, the rest was just soggy bread. Not sure if this is because there was one person working and right after I got there two separate families walked in. Maybe the worker was stressed with the random line that appeared? Either way, I don’t think I’ll go back to that location. This trip made the $7 absolutely atrocious :(

Their ice cream is delicious the reason why I only put four stars instead of 5 is because if you want a pint of a specific kind and they don't have it they will offer to scoop out a pint for you. But they don't pack it down so realistically you're only getting 1/3 of a pint but paying for a full. 😑

This place is great. Honestly when I heard that they make ice cream donut sandwiches, I knew that had to be good. They call them milky buns and they are delicious. They let you choose your ice cream and donuts that you want to make it and then they put it all together. You can just get ice cream if you want but I would highly recommend the milky bun. You won’t regret it.

This was the first time I've ever been to Afters Ice Cream and it was delicious! I went for the special Rick and Morty pop up that they were doing at all of the Southern California locations. I ended up getting the Caramel Portal which was great! I'll definitely be going again to try some of the regular flavors they offer.

This is the store we’ve been to in the SoCal and all have been excellent. My favorite is the Cookie Monster and Vietnamese coffee flavors.

While going to another ice spot we decided to stop here instead. And glad we did, so yummy Service was fast easy and friendly, no lines huge plus lol.

Oh my goodness!!! Just order the ice cream sandwich thing!!! It was off the hook. So good. Cookie Monster and gummy bears. The bomb! Service was fast and friendly and thanks to them for telling me to order the sandwich thing. I gave everyone in my group a bite and they all loved it. It's a typical looking ice cream parlor, no real seating so be prepared to just stand and eat your ice cream. Order and Enjoy!

It's been a few years since I've visited Afters, but I've come to realize it's just alright I love the concepts and flavors they offer but sometimes I'm disappointed to find my ice cream on the runny-side (this has happened in the past as well.. I got a split (half-half) of the ube brownie and cookies and cream! My friend got his cookie butter flavor! His single scoop was filled up to the top but my halves looked sad.. I'll keep coming here as it's in the area but generally it's just OK..

Been here one time. So there's that. Never heard of the place before my daughters brought me here recently. Apparently, it's the spot (the only?) for late night ice cream. Which, I'm all for btw. They have about 12 flavors, I'd say. Also have some various toppings that you would normally see at a FroYo joint. I got the Salty Os, which is made up of crushed oreos. Got me some mochi for the topping. It was good. Listen. Everyone loves late night ice cream. So, kudos to them for exploiting that market. They get an xtra star for that.

Why is this so close to home! Horrible that i can stop by at anytime, which i do. The best ice cream. Different untraditional flavors that are so good. We have an obsession for the ice cream.

It's been a while that I was back in here. The hype was real and the long linces and late nights was worth it back then. Stopped in to get that sweet tooth fix. It didn't disappoint. We went simple glazed bun with vanilla ice cream. It's was a quick in and out. I cannot remember the last time there was no crowd. Service was go good, we tried a few samples too. Wish I had a pic of the delicious dessert but it was too good to not eat it up.

I ordered off of door dash, when eating the ice cream i found this inside, so gross! i think it's a spider leg, i don't even know but it definitely shouldn't be in there, this is disgusting, i threw the 20 dollar tub i bought away.

Honestly, I'm not sure why I haven't been here for YEARS. When I usually crave dessert, this place never comes into mind until recently. I've gone to the Long Beach location also recently so I decided to give this place a chance. I got the Double Scoop of Saigon Coffee & Cookie Monster. The best part about it is that it wasn't as sweet as I remembered (a good thing!). I love the milky flavor of the coffee and the cookie monster together so I highly recommend trying this combo if you're ever craving a coffee, chocolate chip flavor. I won't underestimate this place again and will definitely be back when I'm craving ice cream!

So yummy, a great selection of flavors that change sometimes so I don't get bored. Good size cups, but also small is available. (I can't eat much ice cream, but I love it, so I am always happy when places have tiny or actual small options). The service is always fast and friendly, and the place is of crowded (which means it is yummy!)

This was my first time coming to this location. I love their ice cream. The jasmine milk tea is smooth, tastes like jasmine, and creamy. The mochi squares are chewy and squishy. The milk buns were warm delicious and melts in your mouth. There ice cream you can have one, two, three, or half and half depending what do you prefer. They have 18 flavors you can choose from in their store. I have tried strawberry cookie crunch it was smooth, delicious, and tastes like strawberries, Cookie Monster was delicious it had lots of cookies mixed in with the chocolate chips. The service was fast & employees are nice and friendly. The store has a great atmosphere and music playlist.

I thought I had chewed on a tiny bit of ice, how disappointing, 10 years later and this???? Y'all need to do better, this place has fell hard, but at this degree??? What the hell?!?!

I should have started eating Afters ice cream in college when there was a location near by! The flavors are really yummy and it is a good pick-me-up or a little treat for dessert after a nice meal. If I'm in the mood for something sweet, I will go for the ube brownie flavor, and if I'm not feeling sweet as much, the lavender milk tea flavor is deliciously light and perfect. The workers are also really nice, friendly, and generous with the samples so you can take the time to decide which flavor(s) to scoop for your cup! This is really helpful because I'm quite indecisive sometimes (:

Look, the ice cream is great and the delicious, but this review is solely based off the customer service and staff members working there. We asked for a fresh scoop quart of the cookie monster - they told us just grab the one in the fridge. We let them know we wanted it fresh and they told us they didn't have enough. Ok, fine - went to the fridge and notified them that there isn't any left. Then they told us to grab the pints instead...again there weren't any left. They didn't believe us so they decided to go out and search to confirm that yes, there wasn't any left. Irritation from the staff members continued to rise - there wasn't even a line...it just felt like the staff members were too lazy to hand scoop it. They ended up still not scooping the ice cream and went to the back to search for more to find there were only pints in the back so they asked us to buy those instead of quarts. I asked why we can't have fresh scoops of the ice cream that they're replacing since they closed in 3 hours, they said the ice cream needs 45 minutes to defrost before they can scoop it. So if you're already low on cookie monster, one of your most popular flavors, shouldn't you have been defrosting it already in the first place knowing it's running low and there's still plenty of time to serve other customers coming on a SATURDAY night? The owner should really take it off the menu if their staff members don't want to provide what's being offered. Genuinely lost on the experience, but it is what it is.

Overall super good ice cream. We got it through door dash so it was slightly melted by the time we got it. But that's okay!! Honest talk Ube brownie - super good, but I really don't get much of an ube taste. I think maybe the brownie over powers it in my opinion. But overall it's still good. But I wouldn't get it if I wanted ube Strawberry cookie crumble - strawberry taste was fragrant and refreshing! But the cookie crumble doesn't really add much except for texture. Overall! Still really good. Love the design of the containers though! Super cool and updated Sadly no pics.

Went to this location for the first time and it was yummy. The worker, Jonah, was very friendly and helpful. He helped me choose a flavor by suggesting some of his favorites and I went with one and he was not wrong. The cookie butter in a waffle cup is sooooo good. Will definitely go back.

Im echoing the sentiment of an earlier review. This is not about this location per se but rather the company as a whole. Why did you get rid of the frozen hot cocoa flavor?!?! And of all times to get rid of it, getting rid of the hot cocoa flavor before the holidays?! And just as a previous reviewer stated, you replaced it with a brownie flavor, similar to the dark brownie matter, so now including the ube brownie flavor, you have three brownie ice creams. Whose decision was that? So now you also have four or five kinds of chocolate chip cookie ice creams in addition to the three brownie ice creams. Great range.

Matthew made me a milkshake. He was very disrespectful and disproportionate. Gave all whipped cream.

I asked my friend where the afters were and they brought me here? This was okay though I guess.

Been going here consistently since opening, but ever since one of the founders sold, it's definitely worse. Workers are beyond stingy when it comes to scoops. They are rude and unwelcoming. We wanted to take our ice cream to go and join the rest of our group and eat it together. We asked for a milky bun but for the ice cream to be on the side. They said they would have to charge it as a milky bun and a single scoop... extra $5.50 for a cup and for you to not seal the bun?? Also I ordered a single scoop of milk and cereal and there is purple in my cup... sends a clear message on their attention to cleanliness and cross contamination.

Donuts cut in half to be made into an ice cream sandwich! Had the Milk and Cereal ice cream inside...it was bomb!!! Perfect way to end the night!

Got Afters for the first time on a Friday afternoon. Everyone around me likes it a lot so I wanted to check it out. Definitely lives up to the hype. The plaza it's in was so empty and the area looked kind of dead. Most people probably come here later at night though. The guy working was nice and served us pretty fast. I got a scoop of their brownie fudge chocolate one (sorry can't remember the name). The ice cream was really creamy, rich and smooth. It felt like I was actually eating a brownie. Definitely will come here in the future for a quick scoop.

This place is so yummy ! The ice cream is rich and creamy. Very unique flavors. I loved their Cookie Monster flavor. So good ! The salted Oreo was good but a bit too sweet for me. My boyfriend loved the Cookie butter flavor. Overall a good find !

Afters has been around for awhile now, but I had it for the first time a recently. I was missing out! Got the Cookie Monster and a strawberry flavor and wow wowwww. All the samples that I ate were solid. They're really nice and give out super generous samples. The only downside is that it doesn't look like there's a public bathroom and when we went the lights outside were off.

I haven't been to Afters in years! I was very happy at the fact that it tasted just as good as I remembered it to be. My go to ice cream flavor is milk and cereal. If you love Frosted Flakes, you would love this flavor! It tastes just like the cereal and w the added flakes on top, it gives a great crunchy texture. I need to come back to try this flavor as a milkshake!!

The ice cream is very good. However the night workers are always rude. Every single person has an attitude and looks like they do not even want to work there. They need to change their attitude or find somewhere else to work. The decor is cute and everything else is good.

Solid ice cream shop. I remember coming here when it was in its prime, and waiting outside in a long line. Now the hype has died down, but the ice cream is still great. I love their selection. It's awesome that they keep it fresh, and add new flavors frequently. I recently tried the pop tart ice cream and was very happy with it. I will continue to come here because it's always a good experience.

This has been my go to ice cream spot since 2016 since it's the only place open so late in FV. The ice cream here is solid, but I'm writing this review solely because of the service I've been getting the last couple of times I've been here. The workers here stare at you like they hate their lives every time I've come - no matter what time it is!! I would understand if I came 10 minutes before closing but a stink face at 8 PM is ridiculous. Please at least try to pretend like you enjoy your job.

Best customer service. The cashier was so sweet. My ice cream fell literally seconds out the door and she chased me down to my car with a brand new one. Kind gestures really make your day better. Ill be back soon :-)

Two visits in two days! I guess I've joined their Anti Diet Diet Club. ;) Thanksgiving Dinner Ice Cream was the most unique flavor I've tried. Rosemary ice cream with a cranberry balsamic swirl and loaded with crunchy cornbread stuffing cookies. It was surprising good and not overly sweet. I enjoyed the herbal rosemary flavor with the tangy fruity cranberry. My family was so excited to see Peanut Butter S'mores since it was not available at the Irvine location. We initially got a triple scoop to share, but my son decided that wasn't enough and he went back to buy a quart!! He and I just enjoyed some for breakfast as I write this. I'm hooked and hope Afters opens in the Bay Area!

Wanted to come here for the milky bun - was not disappointed although it was HELLA sweet. I think you have to pair it with a richer ice cream to balance the flavors. I tried Jasmine Milk Tea and Milk & Cookies. They didn't have Cookie Monster, so I went with Milk & Cookies. My friend got Salty Oreo and it might have been a better choice for the milky bun. Regardless, I'll be back to try more flavors (and hopefully will come across Cookie Monster)

First off big shout out to the guy who worked the nightshift 4/07/2022 because he made me and my girlfriends night when we were really down. But onto the ice cream. It was my first time trying afters and I usually go for strawberry because it's a safe go-to for me. But for the time ever I actually enjoyed what my gf got which was the Cookie Monster. The flavor just melts in your mouth and a little disclosure I'm trying to lose weight but when my gf said she couldn't finish her ice cream, I said I'd have one bite but ended up finishing the whole cup haha! It's so good I highly recommend. Aside from that the service here is awesome!

Stopped by last night for one last outing with the FAM before they head back to TX. Both my nephews wanted the cookie monster with the milky bun, but ended up with 1 scoop of ice cream in a cup. One got the cookie monster and the other had to pick a different flavor because the girl that worked behind the counter said "the cookie monster just came out and it's too frozen for her to do more than 1 scoop"... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! ICE CREAM IS LITERALLY FROZEN!! Do you not dip your scooper in hot water to help with the scooping of the ice cream?! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & EXPERIENCE EVER!! Would not come back here ever again. Overrated.

0/10 on my Afters delivery I am livid. For $50 bucks I got 3 half filled pints of ice cream and 2 missing sides of the afters flakes so nobody has toppings. One of the pints looked like someone took a huge bite out of it ? What the? I called but they don't answer the phone. This is totally beyond disappointing. How hard is it to fulfill a simple order??? Wow.

This place has great ice cream. My favorite is the salty Oreo. Sooooo good. The Cookie Monster flavor is a favorite in my house and my kids like that it's bright blue. There are some plant based vegan flavors as well. They sell some flavors in pre packaged containers that you can take home. It's tiny inside so the only seating is outside. If you aren't sure what flavor you want they will let you sample some before you choose. Definitely recommend this place!

I love love loveeee going here to get ice cream with my friends because I love their flavors. My favorite would be the Cookie Monster and jasmine milk tea. Can never go wrong with their milky buns, my favorite is their glazed one with ether or ice cream because it still taste great. I still need to buy their half pint ice creams because I didn't know they sold them until last week. I rarely get to go so most definitely need to keep some in the fridge at home. Jasmine milk tea is my favorite flavor ever! Love the texture of the ice cream here. When I go with my family, we usually get a triple scoop in a cup to share. I believe it's $8.50? A single scoop is $5. They do allow you to sample any flavors you'd like too which is great! Merch is sold inside the store as well.

Been coming here for years and never had a bad experience. The ice cream is really good. However, during these weird COVID-19 times, I witnessed someone going into the shop without a mask on. Of course there's a sign on the door that states "no mask, no entry." I was completely surprised to find out that the person without a mask on was the owner. Like i said, I've never had a bad experience here but of all people, the owner of this location should know better and wear a mask around customers during normal hours.

If you an American loving Patriot avoid this "cashless" business. Ice cream is good but pricey and any business that refuses cash will NOT get my return business. If you don't care about an American business refusing the American dollar them you will like this place. That my opinion and my review.

I don't get the hate that this place gets. The ice cream is delicious and the flavors are exotic and like no other place. Their lavender milk tea ice cream is amazing and so is their milk and cereal ice cream. To die for. It is for sure made with Frosted Flakes because that's exactly what they taste like. Always a good treat.

The hype is real about this place! Funny because the first time I tried it, I didn't immediately fall in love with the ice cream. I mean it was good but not mind blowing! Since then I've tried various other ice cream parlours around LA, & this one still is right there at the top! Why? First of all, when I think of blue ice cream, I think of nasty cotton candy flavour which I'm not a fan of! Well thank you Afters, you've changed my world because Cookie Monster is my new fav! YES! I'm not a cone type, I always get my ice cream in a dish. My goodness the servings are generous! I get 2 scoops & it always tastes more like 3! I also am in love with the branding & the minimalist vibe. Its dark trendy Asian inspired ice cream will definitely get you wanting more!

I've been going to Afters for years, and the quality of the Cookie Monster ice cream will always be my favorite!! Never going to get tired of the spin on my favorite ice cream flavor of cookies and cream, and worth the blue tint left after haha! Jasmine milk tea was a tad sweeter than I remember, but I still loved the flavor. The texture wasn't as good this time, but I'm assuming it's a refrigeration issue. I love pairing this flavor with mochi! I also tried my friend's scoop of their Vietnamese coffee ice cream, and that flavor had a very great blend of bitterness and sweetness. Afters still fulfills my ice cream cravings haha.

Great experience here!! Great options for flavors of ice cream and very friendly and helpful employees!! We couldn't wait to eat our milky buns and just stood at a table and ate them right outside the store! Go here for sure!!

I don't know what the hype is. Pretentious concept and mediocre ice cream that's overpriced. I want to give 1-star but their ice cream is edible.

Custom crafted ice cream flavors are always interesting and creative. Flavorful and creamy taste. Multiple flavor options. Several locations to choose from. I'd say this establishment is very pop culture friendly as well which most ice cream shops do not represent or culturally adapt to for the younger generations.
