What to See and Do in Niagara Falls

"That evening, we had dinner at AG Inspired Cuisine (prix fixe $89), a restaurant set in a former creamery in downtown Niagara Falls. The menu celebrates Niagara terroir, and much of the produce comes from the restaurant's own farm 10 minutes away." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Each time I’ve had dinner at AG, it’s been an absolute treat for the taste buds. The dishes are beautifully crafted, and you can truly taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The octopus, in particular, is to die for! Chef Cory brings years of experience and passion to the kitchen, and it shows. He’s doing an amazing job creating flavourful, seasonal dishes that impress every time, with produce from their own farm. The service is always friendly and professional. AG is a true gem in Niagara, one of those places you always look forward to returning to.

This restaurant is one of the better ones we have found...not just in Niagara Falls but anywhere we have traveled, which is all over the US as well as some internationally. The beef tenderloin and duck we done absolutely perfect! They were so so tender and flavorful! We also had the charred octopus and wagyu meatballs which were terrific! Drinks and dessert were also perfectly done! If I could rate it higher I would! Only wish is that we lived closer so we could come here more often. If you are looking for a great meal this is definitely the choice!!

It came highly recommended by some people we met at a winery and was it a great choice!! We ate at the bar and such great service. Wonderful atmosphere with live music!! Ate more than I should have but loved every bite! We had a few salads as starters -great wine selection too

Google
AG was the highlight of my trip to Niagara. I had picked them because I was looking for somewhere with live music, and saw they had live music on Friday nights. While the music was great, the food blew me away. The duck breast was the best I've ever had. The carrots in the dish reminded me of the ones I'd sneak out of my aunts garden when I was little. The grilled pearl onions popped in my mouth in a little explosion of flavor. The polenta with the duck, and the pork belly was so creamy and cheesy I could have eaten a whole plate full of just that. My absolute favorite dish was the roasted beets. Everything was wonderful, but as a beet and cheese lover that was the most perfect dish. I wish we had stayed an extra day just so we could have visited again.

Amazing! Truly one of the best dinning experiences I have had in my life! Went in for their "Date Night" menu which offers a relatively affordable, limited selection menu during certain weeknights. I had the flank steak and fries. All of their protein is from local butchers and all their produce is picked at the family farm--usually the same day it ends up on your plate! The steak was extraordinarily good, especially for being a traditionally cheaper cut. The aioli sauce and clover took it to another level. The fries were the cherry on top. I also ordered the artisan bread and butter service and some gelato for desert--all amazing! The service was also wonderful. Our waitress was a true joy to be around. She clearly loves working there and takes tremendous pride in the food they serve. All of this was only a few bucks more than the mediocre tourist trap restaurants around town which charge you an arm and a leg for a so-so meal. In my opinion, this is a must go if you are in Niagara Falls!

Google
AG Inspired Cuisine is definitely one of the best restaurants in Niagara Falls. Every dish we had was carefully crafted with fresh high quality ingredients, many of which sourced from their own farm. Service was also great, our server was attentive but also patient being careful not to rush us or overwhelm us with speed of service. The decor is high end for sure, the only con would be the music that was played being “top 40” radio hits that didn’t really fit the vibe. Besides that it was a solid date night and would return!

A Hidden Gem of Flavor and Freshness!!!! AG Inspired Cuisine is a true culinary treasure. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience rooted in passion and purpose. The farm-to-table concept is taken to the next level here, as they source everything from their own farm, including fresh produce, house-made fruit preserves, and even their own honey, which you can purchase by the jar. The menu is creative and thoughtfully curated, offering dishes that are both unique and incredibly flavorful. The beef tenderloin was unbelievably tender and bursting with depth—easily one of the best I’ve had. The candied salmon appetizer was a perfect start—sweet, savory, and beautifully balanced. And don’t leave without trying the tiramisu gelato. It’s made in-house and is absolutely out of this world—creamy, rich, and a perfect finish to the meal. AG Inspired Cuisine truly lives up to its name. It’s clear that every dish is crafted with care and intention. I can’t wait to go back!

Unforgettable berries, beats, Battlestar Galactica drink. Everything was fabulous - octopus, beef, trout, beets, bread service. Our waitress was on it. Canadian wine and beer were good. I wouldn’t have wanted my birthday dinner to be anywhere else.

Yelp
Ag Cuisine is a hidden gem inside the amazing Sterling Inn. Niagara Falls, ON. There are so many great things to say about both of these places. For the purpose of this review, ill focus on the restaurant. When you take the elevator down to the bottom floor you are met with a well decorated and immediate relaxing ambiance. The host is quick to greet you and take you to your seat. Seating is quite comfortable and the environment is dimly lit and peaceful. There are a couple of nice corner booths, and side tables for two. There is a large gathering spot, as well as several tables side by side. Close enough to drool over other guest dishes while still maintaining privacy at your own table. The drinks are plentiful and well crafted. I highly recommend the maple old fashion or the Manhattan. If wine is your go to, well, you have a great selection of wines both imported as well as from local vineyards. For the appetizer I recommend any of the dishes. My favourite go to is the charred octopus or the waygu and smoked ricotta meatballs. Either of these would make a great main! The bread add on is worth it, freshly made and served as a variety of types of bread. There are also gluten free options available. For the main, we tried the venison bolanaise and AG burger. OMG was it delicious. The pasta is handmade and venison locally raised. The burger was cooked beautifully and the homemade bun tied it off nicely. To note. This restaurant has its own farm and gardens. You literally receive everything farm to table. The taste well represents that. Every aspect of the dishes are fresh, and I mean FRESH. I am not a bread pudding person, however I will make an exception at this place everytime i come. I am not going to try to sell this, you truly have to try it to appreciate it. I almost ordered one to go. Its that good. the service is on point and we never had to wait for anything (except maybe the bill lol). Our hostess was amazing and very knowledgeable about the dishes as well as the history of the restaurant. Solid 10/10 and recommend you try this place before any other in Niagara.

Yelp
Wife and I came here this past weekend to partake in their price fix Valentine's Day menu and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is in the lower level of a boutique hotel called Sterling Inn & Spa. Once inside, you are transported to a modern French inspired theme and ambiance. The chef is very much into sustainable cooking / ingredients including his own garden for locally grown produce and sources all other ingredients from Organic farms and purveyors as well. For this special menu, they had curated items from their normal ala carte selections as well as a few other unique items based on seasonal ingredients. Each meal offered three courses including an appetizer, main and a dessert. My wife and I each chose different apps (sunchokes for me, salad for her), but both had our hearts set on that beautiful looking beef tenderloin and who can't resist a dessert called Chocolate Chocolate? Our server was a transplant from the states, she was super-attentive and full of energy and smiles. It certainly added to the ambiance of the evening. My wife had a glass of red from a local (Organized Crime) which she said paired perfectly with the richness of the steak. Each dish was superbly crafted, cooked and presented. Being a three course meal, including a fourth course (bread service with an incredible whipped herbed butter)...the meal was paced so as to take your leisure and linger over every bite. Truly, the star of the entire meal was the beef tenderloins which quite literally melted in your mouth topped with melted brie and served with the creamiest mashed potatoes I think I've ever had. I would easily put this steak in my all-time top 5! We relished every bite, soaked in the vibe from start to finish and left feeling fully satisfied. Definitely a "special occasion" type restaurant, but also not to be missed if in the area.

Yelp
Wonderful spot for dinner when visiting Niagara! We were able to make an early reservation for the bistro menu and be seated right away once they opened. Only downfall to the bistro menu is you have to be seated in the lounge area, which for a table of four, the tables were quite small. Aside from that, the ambiance was quite lovely with relaxing modern music, fun lighting (although a bit dark), and the rooms were decorated nicely. Our waitress was very friendly and promptly took our drink and appetizer orders. We grabbed a bread basket which had three different types (French, cranberry, and potato-onion - all VERY good!) and we also had the shishito peppers which were BOMB!! For dinner, we ordered the flank steak, venison Bolognaise, and the burger. Our sides were all great (can't go wrong with fries) but I highly recommend the cabbage slaw! So delicious! The garden salad was nice as well. My mother said her burger was pretty exceptional and my brother enjoyed his venison as well. My father and I ordered the flank steak rare, but we would have liked a stronger sear on the outside. We had to ask for steak knives as it was quite difficult to cut with butter knives. The garlic aioli served with our steaks was soooo good! Overall nice experience here! I'd love to come back and try out their full menu when we have more time!

Yelp
This restaurant is a gem in Niagara Falls City! All the dishes were excellent and the people there were very attentive and kind. They seemed to communicate well with the chef, so their timing of serving was perfect. I was impressed with the garden salad. It was very fresh and flavorful. I also liked the ginger carrot bisque and the flank steak so much. The cherry yogurt cake with meringue and citrus card was also delicious. The chef's work was artistic and fantastic indeed. Their cocktail was also excellent. I tried "Berries, Beets, Battlestar Galactica". The combination of beetroot-infused gin, blackberry, tarragon, and lemon was nice. It was my first time trying Aperol, and the Aperol spritz was a bit bitter for me. Since I do not have alcohol in my daily life, it was fun to try such alcohol. The two women who served me the dishes and cocktails were friendly and kind. The interior was elegant and beautiful. I was glad to find this restaurant.

Yelp
Ok- so I'm going to be very honest with this. We checked into the hotel and the desk was pushing this place and bragging about it which sometimes makes me nervous. We decided to sneak down for a beverage first and were impressed at the decor, service and I caught a plate walking by us. We opted to have dinner there, it's pretty cool. Pick an app/entree/dessert for 99 ea. they had a few small up charges for certain things high is to be expected. Our server was Fallon, she was absolutely amazing, attentive but not over bearing.. helped out with the menu questions we had and made a few recommendations. I had the beetroot salad, beef tenderloin, and gelato trio.. the goat cheese gelato was hands down my favorite. My partner had the carrot soup, eggplant, espresso crème brûlée. We will be back for sure on our next trip this way. This is by far one of the better meals we had on our trip.

Yelp
Was staying at the Sterling Inn where the AG is located, and had a lovely dinner here. Has an elegant interior, sort of a throwback to the 90s but in a good way. We opted to eat off the much less expensive Bistro menu, a $25 per person experience instead of the $99 prix fixe course. I had the flank steak and it was flavorful and cooked nicely. My partner had the za'atar and coconut shrimp which was likewise prepared well. I can't speak for the $99 prix fixe experience, but we certainly felt pretty good about our Bistro dinner.

Yelp
Hidden gem! The food was amazing, the atmosphere romantic and our waitress Emily was very passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to explain every little detail. Perfect for couples for a special occasion, or for people who appreciate fine dining.

Yelp
It's been a few years since our last visit to this restaurant. They completely changed the menu from a la carte to a fixed three course at $99 per person. In this way, they could sell each dish at higher price compared to ordering them alone. We each ordered one three-course, and added a main dish for the kid at $56. They provided us a basket of bread before any dish was served. The bread was a bit dry from my taste. For appetizers, we had the Indian candy and the salads. Both were decent. The salads with goat cheese fondue was quite refreshing. I just obtained some new knowledge that Indian candy was just a way of making the smoked salmon. It was dried smoked salmon. For mains, we tried the beef tenderloin (+$8), the rabbit and the branzino dish. Overall, I like the steak the most. It was so juicy and tender. The sides (spinach and mashed potatoes) were also yummy. The rabbit was a bit salty but it was still tasty. I didn't like how they cooked the seafood dish though. Other than the shrimp, every types of fish in the plate were overcooked and not having enough flavour. For desserts, we tried the gelato combination (stawberry ginger, salt toffee, chocolate brownie) and the chocolate cheesecake. Both were good but not wowing. The stawberry ginger flavour was a bit weird to me, I prefer it without the ginger flavour. Overall, everything was a little pricy at the tourists' area, but it's still worth it with the good food quality and the nice ambiance.

Yelp
This is a farm-to-table restaurant and is a hidden gem, literally since it is not in the tourist area of Niagara Falls. The restaurant has its own farm located in Niagara Falls. The restaurant is inside the Stirling Inn & Spa Hotel. We ate there before over 10 years ago, but it was not a farm-to-table restaurant at that time. The menu is now a three-course fine dining dinner at $99, with a few mains with up-charges. There are also curated wine pairings with each dish. You can order extra appetizers at $12 each. This was useful because I went with my mom this time and she could not eat much so I ordered two extra appetizers for her. You are able to order each dish separately but will be charged room-service rates, which they implied would be far more expensive. So it seems the Stirling Inn guests can order room service from this fine dining restaurant. Each table comes with complimentary bread (raisin bread and sourdough bread) along with soft honey butter. The farm raises they own bees to produce their own honey, which they also sell in jars. We were also given complementary apple cider to start. I ordered the following for my $99 meal: 1. Fall Harvest Quinoa and Greens. Goats cheese fondue, roasted roots, shaved fennel, crusted pistachio, ginger pear dressing. 2. Birch Syrup Glazed Loin of Canadian Red Deer. I chose the deer to be cooked medium rare. Braised raisin and blue cheese purple cabbage, pan-fried sunchokes, walnuts, red currant jus. 3. Apple Pie Spice Mille Feuille. Sugar filo, citrus mascarpone, salted caramel shortbread, apple gel. I also ordered a glass of Pepsi, for which didn't appear in my bill (shh, don't tell anyone!). My mother ordered the following two appetizers: 1. Roasted Farm Beets. House smoked veal tongue, red cabbage slaw, farm fennel puree, seabuckthorn gel. 2. Chili Citrus Grilled Octopus. Charred apple ginger cabbage, pickle pearls, dill labneh. Every dish was superbly presented and tasted fantastic! The service was also superb. Our server was Mel. The seating area is elegant. The Fall Harvest Quinoa and Greens had the right mixture of tastes, and the goat cheese was subtle. The smoked veal tongue was cooked just right. The octopus was cooked perfectly; other restaurants tend to overcook it. My mom loved it so much she was tempted to order another one to take home but it won't taste the same reheated. The red deer was juicy and tender (since it was medium-rare) and the raisins were a nice touch. The Mille Feuille didn't look like a normal one; it was the chef's interpretation. It had soft and crunchy parts and wasn't overly sweet. There is free WiFi from the hotel. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are 2 wheelchair ramps if you enter from the restaurant's main entrance and then you must take the hotel's elevator down! There are separate male/female washrooms (that are also wheelchair accessible) downstairs in the hotel part; wheelchairs must take an elevator. There is free parking in the hotel's parking lot. Yelp
We came to this place on a whim for date night after it snowed outside. It's a prix fixe menu. Food is superb -- the flavor combinations are unique and difficult to replicate. Our waitress was very sweet and service is great! The restaurant is by a hotel so it was a bit confusing looking for the place. Overall very worth it!

Yelp
Superb restaurant! Service and food beyond our expectations. The chef using all fresh ingredients creates delicious dishes. Don't be fooled by the location in the Sterling Inn Hotel, this is a 5 star restaurant. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were unique and delicious. Must try if in the area. Free parking on site.

Yelp
Hands down our favorite part of seeing Niagara Falls! We were in town for 3 nights and dined here 2 nights! First night we opted for dinner at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine and the flank steak off the Bistro menu. We were patting ourselves on the back for picking such a great option (I'm sure all are fantastic!). The next night, we sat in the dining room and participated in the $99 3-course dinner. My husband and I had the filet mignon and it was beautifully plated and mouthwatering. Service was impeccable. The suggestions she provided were spot on and we felt absolutely spoiled! In an area where chain restaurants run rampant, this elevated gem should not be missed. You will not regret it!

Yelp
AG cuisine was absolutely amazing in every aspect! First off, the service was phenomenal. Our server and Mia provided us with an over-the-top experience as first time goers. We were informed of how the food was made, the history of the restaurant, and all about the farm our food was coming from. They also gave us a complimentary shot, and helped us pick out the perfect wine pairing to go along with our meal. You can tell our servers were passionate in their work. The food was some of the best I've ever had! Farm fresh is an understatement. I ordered the flank steak and frites, and the steak was cooked perfectly. The dry rub left your mouth watering. My boyfriend ordered the tenderloin of beef and it was outstanding! Amazing! Definitely recommend getting that dish. The meal was 3 course and a bit pricey, but every penny was worth it The ambiance of the restaurant was so relaxing. It gives off a lounge experience. The music was up to date with songs that added to the experience. They always had hand-cut sunflowers that came from the same farm their food comes from. I would 100% recommend reserving your experience as soon as possible.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing fine dining cuisine. Farm (their own) fresh to table. Temps were perfect .... literally EVERYTHING was perfect. Food was explained in detail by our waitress Melanie. She gave excellent service and made it a unique experience. We had the salmon and beef carpaccio for appetizers and they were both unique and delicious. Our main courses were the tenderloin and scallops and omg were they perfectly done and a unique mix of flavors. Definitely the strawberry shortcake and rosemary creme brulee were an excellent end to our meal. This is just an incredible menu and mix of flavors you won't regret trying.

Yelp
This is our second time dining at AG Inspired. Because of our first experience, we have very high expectation for $99 Three Course dinner tonight. We had a party of 4 this time, so we ordered different appetizers, 4 different mains, and finish up with bread pudding and cream brulee. The appetizers are not bad, beef carpaccio is the best out of all, a must ordered item on the list. The salmon candy and the salad are nothing special. We have 4 different mains including scallop, birds (quail and duck breast), beef tenderloin and branzino. The scallop and birds are all a bit overcooked in my opinion. Beef tenderloin used to be excellent, but this time it is just a ok to me. Branzino is a bit too dry, but the tiger shrimp on this dish is very good. I wish they can come up a main with the tiger shrimp! For the dessert, the waitress recommended the bread pudding. The presentation is not too good, but the taste is not bad. For a $99 price point, I wouldn't come back again.

Yelp
A really great experience. Met up with friends traveling through the area so we all appreciated the mix of local options for both food and wine. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
the food is very good. the service can be better. kids juices were completely forgotten, special occasion was ignored and from appetizers to main course way too much time. Atmosphere was nice, quite and relax. Food is creative and among the best in the area. Duck confit out of the fixed menu was yummy.

Yelp
Dinner in Niagra Falls Ontario. The food was quite unique. Very different. Maybe a bit too different even for an adventurous diner like me. The service was excellent and the dining room is comfortable and attractive. I would love to come back.

Yelp
We had an excellent meal and the seating is spacious and sophisticated. The venison and lamb were both superbly and creatively prepared. The squash bisque was rich and nicely spicy. The cheeses were excellent and had great accompaniments. For the adventurous, the beets and the tongue were a standout. Our server, Christopher gave us a warm welcome to the area and a list of wineries and other attractions we should consider. An evening we'll spent.

Yelp
The food and atmosphere was phenomenal can't say enough about this restaurant just a great place and great atmosphere also the waiters were great

Yelp
We made a reservation for AG Inspired Cuisine after I did a bunch of research on "best restaurants in Niagara Falls." I'm from San Diego so I had no idea where to eat. I have always wanted to go to the falls since I was a kid. Anyway. We were greeted right away at the door and taken to our table. The ambiance was amazing. We got dressed up which was fun. The location isn't hard to find. We were given bread and butter (delicious) and water. We ordered a reasonably priced Cab Franc which is a treat because Cab Francs are pretty expensive in San Diego. I know the menu is different every night but I ordered the beef carpaccio and my boyfriend paid extra to order the shrimp toasties. Both were very tasty. I'm not a huge mustard person but the mustard on the carpaccio did compliment it well. I was concerned the shrimp would be like an east coast "shrimp salad" but it wasn't. It was well seasoned and complimented by the sauce it came with. Would order both again. For an entree I ordered the beef tenderloin. I was between the duck and the lamb but our waiter said the beef had been on the menu for like 15 years (something like that). I was like "okay, Obvs I'll order." Okay. I like Brie. I like almonds. But I ended up scraping all the Brie off the steak so I could eat it. It was such an overwhelmingly strong Brie I couldn't taste anything else. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly (I asked for medium rare). The duck was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Like, omg. Sooooo good. For dessert I ordered the Creme brûlée with ginger and rosemary. Cool idea. But not dessert. I love food. I love dessert. Took three bites and left the rest. Neither me nor my boyfriend wanted to eat it. It's almost like it would have been better if it had been positioned as an appetizer. The category of "dessert" doesn't work. It's not that it's not tasty. But reorganizing and putting it as an appetizer could be a creative way to serve Creme brûlée. My boyfriend ordered the hazelnut chocolate cheesecake. Highly recommend. If there's like 5,000 choices and you have to make one, order the hazelnut cheesecake if it's an option. Overall exactly the experience I was hoping for. The food was incredibly prepared and well surpassed my expectations. Though I may not order some of these dishes again, that doesn't mean someone else isn't looking for that exact taste of what I wasn't a huge fan of. The restaurant definitely deserves five stars and I highly recommend you try it out.

Anton R.

Yelp
This is one of the best restaurant I have ever been. Great service, amazing food, wonderful atmosphere with. The price is reasonable. If you are looking for an unforgettable place to go in Niagara, be sure to visit this one. You will not regret.

Yelp
This is a very very excellent restaurant. Food is incredibly delicious. The chef takes Culinary art to another level. Every dish is delightful and meticulously prepared. The chef has surprise elements in each fold. This reserve for the discerning few to discover. When you hit that note, it brightens up your palate. Simple enjoyable food but yet heartfelt love in the preparation of layers after layers. I wouldn't be surprised if Michelin stars it upon discovery. The room is contemporary and quiet with full house. The service staff members were very attentive. Dining out just doesn't get better than that

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely amazing - the food was fantastic and the servers were attentive and helpful. We had the beef flank and the lamb and the chef cooked them exquisitely, really bringing their unique characteristics out and exciting our tastebuds. This place is a must-eat in Niagara fine dining.

Yelp
In terms of ambiance, this is the finest restaurant I've been to in Niagara Falls (and I've been to all of the highest rated spots in this area). From decor to service, this place is class all the way. Bonus: Saturday nights they have live music. Last weekend they had a great jazz duo that really enhanced the experience. Overall, food was very good. Being a Toronto foodie, I wouldn't count my duck confit among the best I've had, but it was good. I also didn't love my beet salad. But I'm still awarding AG 4 stars because everyone else in my party was very happy with their meals...particularly the bone marrow starter (definitely get the suggested whiskey shot on the side), the octopus starter (stellar!) and the coffee crusted venison (a very lean meat for the fat conscious lol). I would probably skip the sides of "sharing vegetables." But creme brulee was on point. So yeah, this is a beautiful restaurant and worth trying if you're looking for some true fine dining just a few minutes' drive from the casino.

Yelp
This restaurant is tucked away downstairs in the sterling inn. We made reservations a couple weeks in advance. After a long day of site seeing we rushed back to our hotel to get ready because it claims to be dressy attire. I changed out of my jeans and put my on to glam up the evening all to be sat next to a guy in sweatpants shorts and a T-shirt and sneakers?! They left and the next patrons wore sweatpants and Nike's?!? At the end of the evening I inquired to find out yes they are dressy but they do enforce a dress code? Does that make any sense????? So note feel free to show up in a bathing suit if u want. They will serve anyone. On to the food. AMAZING! It's a prefix menu $59 for three courses. Everything we ordered was so delicious and fresh. Our waitress helped me decide between the Hen and quails. the quail is the way to go! The berry risotto was so delicious and paired perfectly with the well seasoned quail. Nom nom. Pumpkin bread pudding just solidified our evening choice of dining.

Yelp
This was a refreshing getaway from all the touristy chaos you'll find throughout the rest of the town. Fantastic atmosphere perfect for a date night. Friendly staff. Farm to table food where you can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. I had the beef carpaccio, which was incredible. And the Duck Confeit as my entrée was falling off the bone and juicy. The crème brûlée was also delicious. My wife had the flank steak with frites, and loved it. If you are looking for places to eat in Niagra, this place should be at the top of your list.

Yelp
AG Inspired Cuisine is one of those hidden gems that you must visit at least once when you are in the Niagara Falls region. A true farm to table experience, amazing wine pairing, and exceptional service (Thank you, Kelly). I'm also writing this review based on memory. I know this memory might have been dated, but AG was one of my favourite gastronomical experience I've ever had. I remember searching on Yelp for the perfect fine dining spot to celebrate an anniversary. AG popped up on my search, and the reviews were surprisingly high. As I dig a bit more about AG, I found out that they have a hidden 5 course prix fixe. I don't know if they still offer it now but it wouldn't hurt to ask when you are making the reservation over the phone. This restaurant is located inside the basement of Sterling Inn & Spa. I absolutely loved the classic red and white decors with the chandeliers. We were seated in a cozy corner booth. (It was a weeknight, we pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves lol). I remember asking our server, Kelly, what does AG stands for. Would you like to take a guess? . . . . AG actually stands for the chemical element symbol of Silver! (Get it? Stirling Silver?) lol. So clever! We absolutely loved the food creations with beautiful presentation, and the wine pairing was spot on. One particular dish REALLY stood out was the beet juice infused raw scallops with fish roe on top - it literally tasted like salmon sashimi :D That was a really fun dish... it really threw my taste buds off (in a good way!) Our server found out that my partner loves cheese, especially blue cheese, so she got us a generous nibble of this delicious blue cheese paired with a rose ice wine from a local winery. Who knew blue cheese and ice wine would go SO WELL TOGETHER! It was the perfect way to finish off our meal :) I would highly recommend AG. Definitely a romantic spot for a nice dinner. I hope to come back again soon! I know I've been saying it for years lol. #brb #nextromanticgetaway . . . The All-Ontario, Road Trip-Worthy, farm-to-table Restaurant Series (1 of 17)

Yelp
Five of us enjoyed the prix fixe dinner on a recent Friday night. The cool, dimly-lit interior was a soothing and welcome change from the heat and humidity outside. The food was creative and of excellent quality, as was the service. We spent at least two hours at AG and had a great conversation over the well-paced evening. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, well-trained and very gracious. Someone has done an excellent job not only in executing the farm-to-table concept but in training a professional staff. I'd come back if in the area. As others have reported, AG is a hidden gem in a sparse landscape, literally. Don't be deterred by the surrounding neighborhood, the restaurant is worth seeking out. Not cheap, but a fair price for the quality of food, service and ambience. Only nit: the wine list is hyper-local, in keeping with the concept, but could benefit from higher quality options for the non-Canadian wines.

Yelp
Don't be dismayed by the fact that this restaurant is in the hotel off the bitten path. The food, vine, service, and atmosphere are top notch! Strongly recommend!

Yelp
Spent the weekend at the Sterling Inn and Spa. We were able to book a table through the OPENTABLE app for Friday and were resigned to a take out order for Sunday. However, after placing the take out order tables opened up. So, we booked another in-restaurant dining experience. NOTE: The restaurant is open from 5 pm to 10 pm. Our only issue was that it took us 4 or 5 tries in order to cancel the take out order, which we made through OPENTABLE. They require that you contact the restaurant directly to cancel take out orders placed by them. In the end, our waitress on the first night was able to coordinate the cancellation. This should not have been this hard to do. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was fairly empty on the first night (Friday). We were seated right away after filling out the COVID form, which we were allowed to do at our table. On the second night (Saturday), which we had trouble getting a reservation at first, the restaurant was not as busy, which was surprising for us. Once we were seated, drinks were offered right away. We noticed that every table had a bottle of hand sanitizer. The restaurant offers a 3 course dining experience. The menu is digital and you need your smart phone to bring scan the code to see it in your browser. Anything on the menu with "supplement" has an additional price which is stated. So, supplement 9 means it is $9 extra and not included in the $65 per person dining experience. For our first appetizer course, we tried the Carpacio & Veal Tongue and the Charcuterie plate with an assortment of meats and cheeses. Both dishes were well presented and prepared. Any condiments were also on your plate as a design element. On our second night, we had the Charcuterie plate and the Octopus. OMG! The Octopus appetizer was SO GOOD that I ate EVERYTHING on the plate! The second course contained mains. On our first night, we had the Deer and the Beef Tenderloin. Both meats were very tender and I would highly recommend. My wife noted that there was no chicken on the menu but two seafood dishes. On the second night, we had the Sea Scallops and the Beef Tenderloin. The Sea Scallops were melt in your mouth....then again, so were the meat dishes. Finally for dessert, we tried the Cheese Plate, the Cheesecake tart and the Creme Brulee. The Creme Brulee is not on the menu and was offered to us on the second night. Truth be told, we heard it offered to another couple on the first night, so, we recommend that you wait until dessert to order dessert as they may offer something else up. Of the three, we particularly enjoyed the Creme Brulee. Finally, we tried the Maple Whiskey on crushed ice on the recommendation of one of the spa employees. He wasn't wrong, it was SO GOOD! My wife and I both enjoyed it very much. We'd like to thank the staff for the excellent service. We had the same waitress on both nights and she did a WONDERFUL job! The food was just PERFECT! We would highly recommend.

Yelp
Walking in one waiter took our coats while the other took us to our seats. Upon sitting down the brought us water, rosemary bread and a small lobster sampler. The bread was soft and you could smell the rosemary when he set it down. The lobster sampler bit was nice, but there wasn't enough to experiance the full range of flavours. A little tiny bit more would have helped For our appetizers we got the escargot and the wild boar. All the food was French inspired and had a lot of sauces on them. The sauce on the escargot really made the dish, it was an herb sauce that enhanced everything on the dish blending it all together well. The puff pastry just soaked up the sauce and the small berries and roasted garlic added an extra tart kick. The Boar was creamy with earth tones and flavours. We have experianced all those different flavours before individually but combining them all together created a unique flavour and heat. The bore itself was very tender and cooked well. My husband had the AG signature beef tenderloin which came sitting on top a cranberry sauce topped with foie gras au jus. All together it was sweet and savoury yet somehow tart. All the different elements of the dish combined into one bite created a unique symphony of flavour. The tenderloin was cooked to a perfect medium but it was a supporting player again contributing to the dish as a whole. I had the Venison Pot Pie, which was a very delicate dish. Although venison is usually a strong flavoured meat this dish was refreshing. Nothing on the plate overpowered anything else. The venison was cooked to a perfect medium rare and they let it rest, so it was not bleeding all over the place. The pickled cabbage blended perfectly with everything on the plate. The pot pie itself was a small pot pie cooked perfectly. The crust was flaky and had that perfect crunch. To drink I had the AG Pickles Caeser, which was basically the BEST BLOODY MARY I HAVE EVERY HAD. The spice around the rim added an extra layer to the drink. I could have easily done a bottomless day of those. Everytime the server set down a dish he explained it to us. He clearly knew the dishes and took the time to point out little details so we wouldn't miss them, like the berries on the escargot dish or the puree on the bore. This place is an excellent example of Canadian and French fusion. The chef really knew his stuff and we would have loved the opportunity to try more.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant and we thought it will be good; because of food pictures on yelp. However, the food is a disaster of all we experienced. $99 per person including an appetizers, an entree and a dessert, and they don't even taste as good as they look. And the service in this restaurant was super slow. We spent most of our time waiting, instead of eating. We thought the dessert will taste good since how can one mess up a dessert? Once again, we were wrong. The chocolate cake taste too bitter and the ice cream taste like eating ice cubes. I give one star, because there is no 0 star.

Yelp
This resturant definitely lives up to the hype it generates based on other Yelp reviews. The location is very convenient and walking distance from the Clifton Hills tourist area in Niagara Falls. The food here is fantastic. I ordered the fixed menu which came with three courses for roughtly ~$50. I believe the menu changes on a weekly basis based on seasonal items. The feature was a pork wellington and was cooked perfectly. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I'm not usually one to comment on the ambiance of a resturant but I was pleasantly surprised at the romantic atmosphere. The service here is exceptional from the moment you come in to the moment you leave. I came here with four other friends but I highly recommend this location for a date night.

Yelp
A hidden gem with wonderful ambiance. The food was delicious, especially the steak and the salad. Our waitress was really on top of things. I would recommend it for anyone that wants a special evening.

Yelp
Very upscale. Upscale; in atmosphere as well as price...some things I would never try of my own will, I have experienced and am proud I did so. The great chef takes his time and you will know it. Good food at a hefty charge, keep in mind all the Canadian taxes and the special Niagara Falls area tax; you will be spending 2 hours here to dine as well as any and all that is in your wallet... Chef Cory Linkson, threw in his best, and provides you with an exquisite albeit time consuming meal. This restaurant is fine dining to the "T." Niagara unfortunately suffers from the lack of great food but AG sets a good example. Expect an amuse bouchée that will rock your world

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed this cute spot in Niagara Falls. Amongst the cliche restaurants and chain eats, this was truly a gem! The one thing if anything is they need an upgrade on their decor. But the food made up for it! Loved that it was a farm to table restaurant.

Yelp
Our experience was one of the best we have had in a long time. The three course menu was an exceptional value and prepared to perfection. Service was top rated without being stuffy. Beef carpaccio and gravlax appetizers were delicious and presentation was a work of art I am so sorry we did not take any photos. The signature beef tenderloin was excellent and my halibut was delicious. Dessert consisted of a peach pound cake and grilled peaches. And a lovely cheese course With bee pollen, flatbread and preserves. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I knew it would be a 5-star as soon as I finished the appetizer. Not many restaurants are like that. It's got that fine dinning atmosphere, very quiet and it's perfect for a date. We were deciding between this vs The Keg and clearly this is the winner. $59 for a three course menu is good value. Service is great, the waiter is very knowledgeable and professional. Food is amazing! Octopus salad is like the best octopus salad I've had. The AG signature tenderloin is so delicious, I think it's like the most popular dish here. The duck confit is also the best I've had, so tender and juicy. A lot of places that offer duck confit are quite dry. Summary, great food, great atmosphere and great value.

Yelp
I am very picky! That is the honest to God truest thing about me. Plus, I have an uber sensitive stomach, so it makes me pretty close-minded about what I'm going to eat. But guuuuyyyyss, lemme tell you So for starters, I went here on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. I made 6o clock reservations, literally 2 hours prior. Got there at 5:45 &I was immediately greeted and seated. Fast service at a place that's not a fast food restaurant, that gets some stars in my book. Anyway, as we were seated a few moments later (Paul or John, I can't remember which one was his name) poured us both glasses of water and asked if we were interested in anything to drink. We ordered our drinks and they were both delivered to us within minutes. I like alcohol, and I like good alcohol that's not expensive. A glass of wine and a double shot of dry whiskey were decently priced for a fine dinning restaurant. Now for the food. Y'all lemme tell you, I had to ask my boyfriend to google half the stuff on the menu especially since we have both given up pork. For an appetizer, we ordered bone marrow, and that sh*t was DELICIOUS. Once finished with the bone marrow, they tell you to pour the whiskey down the bone. That whiskey was sooo good, hella strong but good. For my main course, I don't remember exactly what I got but in laymens terms it was venison and rabbit. Yoooooo, I ain't never felt so good about eating a rabbit (I'm a vet tech) the food was superb. We asked Paul or John (I'm so sorry) to pick a wine to pair with our main course and it was PERFECT ! Overall, I had a great time. I enjoyed the ambiance, the food, I really enjoyed everything about it and I would love to come back! My only con was that I wish that they had more of a desert option. Being that I'm from New York, after reviewing the bill, it's fairly priced for the quality. Everything was very filling.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! From beginning to end! The food is truly an experience. The service is top notch! The pre set dinner options are fantastic, not only the options we have but the price point is beyond reasonable! The atmosphere is romantic and relaxing, with beautiful lighting and soft live music in the back round. The food is brought out in immaculate timing! And presentations is spectacular, Positions are very generous! One of our favourites! Fantastic place to enjoy your significant other, and or a celebratory dinner!! Cheers to good taste and amazing company!!

Yelp
This place if for people who know nothing about good food but like to spend money on odd combinations of flavors and think they have "refined palates". First of all, it is not handicapped accessible that I could tell. I have a bad back and had to walk down a lot of steps to the basement, mainly because my wife wanted to try it based on the reviews. I didn't see an elevator. Maybe there is, I didn't ask. It started out okay. We ordered, and they brought out a small curry "soup"? in a small shot glass. Delicious. Our waiter (who also waited on the table next to us) had a habit of squeezing in between the 2 tables to talk to the other table, with his butt in our faces, every single time he went to their table. Wine (ass). Appetizers (ass). Water (ass). Geez, can't you stand ELSEWHERE? Or maybe not have tables that close together? Or sit people at different tables at different times? Then, the appetizers came. Mediocre (at best). Main courses came. Also mediocre (at best). The waiter offered to just cancel the meal and not charge us. I offered to at least pay for our drinks (soda and tea, nothing alcoholic). I expected him to say "don't worry about it" or just give us a bill for $5-$10. Next thing I know, we get a bill for close to $50 because we ate the appetizers. I wasn't going to argue it. I just paid and left. If you offer to comp a meal, comp a meal. Don't offer and reneg. If he had said that he would just charge $x, fine. But don't lie to me after I offer to pay something and stick me with more. It seems that the chef just mixes flavors that nobody else does and hopes that people like it or are too embarrassed to say anything. I know a lot of people that will eat terrible food and because the flavors are different, assume they just don't understand good food. To add insult to injury, when I told the waiter that we didn't like the main courses, he asked if we wanted steak and fries. As if we were country bumpkins used to fast food or cheap buffet food and didn't have "refined palates". I have had $300/per person dinners (DC, Las Vegas) that were not as good as $75/pp dinners (a molecular gastronomy restaurant in Cave Creek, AZ). AG just wasn't good. Maybe change the name to Aaaagghh! Farm to table? Maybe they should use the animal, not what gets excreted from the animal. Okay, that is a bit harsh, it wasn't bad. Just wasn't good. The people next to us seem to be somewhat regulars, so obviously some people like it enough to return.

Yelp
Fantastic service and lovely ambience. It's a lovely hidden gem hidden in a town that caters soley to casino goers. It's nice to find a place that lures away from the strip for lovely and fun food and a simple but fulfilling wine list. Do not order the charcuterie board, it isn't worth your stomach real estate (a little too grocery store level imo). Save all the room you can for the carrot soup, which is decadent but effervescent, earthy by as light as a cloud. The puff pastry and wild boar starter is simply assembled with a gorgeous mushroom layer. Each bite was delicious and perfect. My date had the artic char with pumpkin seed and quinoa, the bite I had was delightfully rich and lightly seasoned, the portion carefully plated into two sections for no apparent reason other than a fun presentation. For desert we split the bread pudding. Date went crazy for it. I found it lacking in flavour and very soggy. But as I always say, not a dessert person. This place is in the spirit of french fusion. It's not pretentious, but it is very well executed with great ambiance and staff that go above and beyond. This is a lovely date spot, especially on nights with some live music, the act we caught was understated but memorable.

Yelp
This place is great, local farm to table concept. Great location, not in the craziness of the touristy area. It's in the basement of a hotel. We went on a Sunday night at 7 pm. It was a 2.5 hour dinner, a bit long for me. The service was good just quite a bit of time between courses, a little too long. But the food itself was all VERY delicious! I had the butternut squash and saffron veloute and shared it to try the harvest cider and bacon mussels. Both were so tasty. I ordered as my entree the roasted lamb. One of the best lamb dishes I've ever had. It was very earthy tasting and I couldn't stop eating it. I was stuffed after that! But then there is dessert- a pumpkin spice bread pudding with a pumpkin gelato. Yum! Yum! Yum! The prices are very reasonable for the high quality food that you get. The servings are very large!

Yelp
The best meal you'll have in Niagara. It's farm to table and it makes all the difference. Worth every penny. Please spend your money here, because they are putting in a real effort to bring you ridiculously fresh, inventive dishes. The service was wonderful. The wines are all local. Most of the produce is grown on their own farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's hard to love kale, but they even made kale delicious with its organic freshness! The cherries were sweet, the radishes were crisp, the trout and duck entrees melt in your mouth. The grilled peach pound cake was TO DIE FOR. The ambiance is off-putting, but don't let it fool you. It's tucked away in the basement of an inn with decent but somewhat tacky decor--it could definitely use a different look to better reflect the quality of the food. Would recommend: sweet kale salad, corn bisque, the duck, and the grilled peach dessert.

Yelp
I'm writing this review much delayed, apparently I never wrote it to begin with, but the meal I had here was one of the top 10 meals I've had in my life. I cannot recommend it enough - everything was cooked perfectly, fresh, and felt unique. I have seriously thought about returning to Niagara just to eat here again.

Yelp
This place was a very convenient dinner for us because we were staying at the Sterling Inn. Based on the Yelp reviews, we decided to give this place a try. The outside doesn't really look like a higher end restaurant - there is just an awning with AG restaurant on it. So, I was a little skeptical about all the positive reviews.... But, it turns out these reviews are spot on! The dinner was AWESOME! The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. We started off by ordering a glass of local wine. They carry a lot of wine from the Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries. For appetizers, we ordered the AG Farm fresh seasonal salad and the tomato peach salad, both of which were extremely tasty and well constructed. For our entrees, we had the chicken, the risotto, the beef tenderloin, and the double bone pork chop. Each entree was great - no complaints from anyone! We all finished our entire plate, which is rare! We were so full that we decided to pass on dessert :( A lot of the other people had trouble finding the restaurant. But, if you take the elevator to the lower level (LL), it's to the left. The service was good overall - our server was a little stiff, but it was also very crowded. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Niagara Falls area!
