FRESH!! The carnitas tacos are absolutely delicious 😋 this will definitely be my go to spot when I’m on Tybee!! Oh and one margarita had me leaning! 🤣🤣

Alec P.

Google
These tacos were some of the best I’ve had In years! The service was awesome and the location was easy to find. I will be back and recommend this place to others!

Destiny E.

Google
Really delicious shrimp chimichangas!! My husband had the carnitas and he liked them a lot. Salsa was great as well. Nice family environment. They were busy but the staff was very friendly and I have no complaints!!

Google
My wife and I were vacationing with some friends and ate here for dinner one night as a last minute decision. Honestly, we were very surprised with the food. Flavors were really good, especially for a tourist town. The staff was also very welcoming and nice. We were brought endless chips and salsa, which were good. We ordered the Table Guacamole and the service size was just that, for a table! It fed 7 people and we had leftovers! Flavors were good too, not overpowering! For dinner I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos. The portion size was perfect! Flavors were also good! My wife orders the Enchilada Supreme. She doesn’t usually eat her full meal, but this time she cleaned the plate! We would go back, for sure!

Tannah G.

Google
Best fish tacos ever! Also, their potion sizes are enormous, so you can always have leftovers for lunch the next day.

Marjorie S.

Google
Service was very friendly and efficient. I do not recommend chile rellenos at this place. My vegetarian black beans were delicious but the main course was a mistake. Chips with a nice spicy salsa a plus.

Google
Went tonight for dinner. Wait for a table of 5 was 25 minutes, no names taken, had to wait in line or lose your place. I had lots of expectations after reading the reviews. Chips and sala, the chips tasted overdone. The pineapple margaritas tasted like regular margaritas with no pineapple flavor. Was great if it was a regular. Food...Well not the worst but definitely mediocre. The rice was cold, wanted fish tacos got shrimp, another person ordered the steak fajita taco salad, but received the shrimp instead. Had to wait again to fix it. Meanwhile ordered a kids cheese quesadilla and did not receive until after 15minutes.from the first entree being served. Our sever was friendly, but I am putting this all on the back of house and mgmt.

Google
Visited here on Saturday with my boyfriend and, despite being understaffed, the food was extraordinary! My boyfriend even said that it was probably the best Mexican food he's ever eaten. I had the texano rice and he had a beef taco and burrito with bacon added! Portions were bountiful and our server was as attentive as he could be given the staffing level. Only recommendation is do not sit outside because the flies were relentless once our food came!

Yelp
Just had a terrific lunch at Agave. The food is authentic and delicious. We ordered the wings which were fresh, hot out of the fryer, moist and scrumptious. We also had the new birria pizza. Oh my, the pizza was piled with lots of tender beef with onions and seasoning. We didn't have margaritas, but everyday is happy hour and we know from experience they are tasty and a generous pour!

Yelp
Cheap American-Mexican food near our Tybee hotels. I ordered the chimichanga with ground beef but got one beef and one chicken. Chicken was dry and the beans were super watery. My friend's fajitas looked way better. It's a nice change from the higher priced restaurants, but it's nothing to write home about. Service, easy parking, and cleanliness were all good. Maybe give it a try?

Yelp
The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond for my to-go order. Great spot for Mexican food on Tybee

Yelp
Was pretty busy with it being the holiday weekend but overall it was worth the wait. The drinks were excellent and the chips, salsa and guacamole were the best part of it all- fresh and delicious. Our meals were all very good but 4 of ordered the taco salad and we literally couldn't see salad in them. But the folks that ordered tacos and chimichangas said they were excellent. We're go back for sure. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful

Yelp
Small restaurant in Tybee Island. Food was pretty good, a little bland. Chicken and fajita meat were tender and veggies were cooked well. Service was good even though they were packed.

Don G.

Yelp
Good was fantastic - great little local place on Tybee - we had the fajita quesadillas and they were delicious and a generous portion.

Amber K.

Yelp
Good food, good portions, B1G1 margaritas at happy hour. Food was brought quickly, big portions. Recommended is the quesadillas, enchiladas verde, and burritos with queso sauce.
google avatar

Jenn D.

Yelp
Food and service both top notch. I called in a take out order and was told 10-15 minutes. I did end up waiting more like 35 minutes, but the restaurant was packed and the staff updated me frequently. They also offered me a drink while I waited. We were very pleased with the quality of both the fajita quesadilla and the Agave Burrito.

Demar S.

Yelp
I stopped by Agave Bar & Grill while visiting Tybee Island and the food did not disappoint -- everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. However, I ran into a frustrating issue when it came time to pay. The price listed online was noticeably lower than what I was charged at pickup. When I asked about it, the server/bartender mentioned they've been trying to update the website "for a while" but just haven't gotten it taken care of. But as a paying customer, I prefer to be told upfront, not blindsided at the register with a higher price and no heads-up. It left a bit of a sour taste in an otherwise solid experience. Great food, no question -- but please update your online prices or at least mention the difference when folks place an order over the phone. Transparency goes a long way.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Our waitress brought hot plates to the kids in the party. She didn't come check on us at all to refill drinks or check on our food and then charged us gratuity on the check. Food was ok but spicy.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Edible and no actual problems. Some randomness like my coke came in a huge frosted mug, my dads came in a red plastic cup. Issue was there was basically no seasoning on anything. Guac and fajitas. No seasoning. The salsa was decent, but kinda meh with all other things. I would recommend a different lunch spot.

Yelp
didnt have the best experience here, my server was eating at the table next to me the whole time, and on her phone as she filled drinks. my chicken quesadilla was too soggy for me to even pick up so i didnt enjoy it. i got a frozen pinã colada but the ice wasnt blended enough. server didnt even make eye contact with me. the chicken and beef tastes exactly the same. only good thing was their queso, and their salsa was yummy but they charge after the first bowl. i dont think ill be returning:(

Dani H.

Yelp
It's a tiny quaint culinary masterpiece! It's our weekly dinner or lunch, and sometimes lunch and dinner . The steak in the dishes is so tasty and tender. ... my personal favorite is the Agava burritos ..oh goodness they are pure deliciousness and enough for two folks or one very hungry girl ! Salsa is so good and a bit bitty. Chips and guacamole are always so fresh. Best sweet tea in town ! I couk A much go to on tybee !!!!

Marco P.

Yelp
Went to Agave a few days ago and everything was amazing. Loved the staff! Drinks were freshly made and the food was perfectly cooked and delicious. Will definitely be back and bring all my buddies to try the best Mexican food ever! Make sure you ask if aguachile is available, this is the best agua chile I've ever had.
google avatar

Marissa N.

Yelp
Delicious, ordered takeout chili rellenos and had almost enough time to finish a skinny margarita while they cooked it. Service was super quick and the bar tender maybe manager maybe owner was friendly and obliging. The chips were salty and warn. The relleno were good not heavily coated with a lot of stuffing and toppings. The flan was also a very delicious

Jennifer P.

Yelp
The service was amazing! Our waitress was so polite and remembered all the extras we asked for (party of 6 ordering multiple drinks and meals). The salsa was delicious! I ordered a combination dinner #9 and my boyfriend ordered some regular beef tacos and rice. The food was fresh and the flavor was great! I didn't take any pictures, but I'm adding what my friend took.
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
Very good service and excellent table side guacamole!!! Street tacos were awesome too! We will definitely be back!!!
google avatar

Kim Y.

Yelp
The biggest Burrito ever! Killer Rita's too. Flip flop -t-shirts are A-OK Ask for Louis. My Grande' Papi
google avatar

Lindsey A.

Yelp
A popular spot for Mexican food on Tybee Island, but I found it to be pretty average. Quick service and everything was brought out really quickly. Casual dining environment, no frills. I found the steak to be a bit chewy on my enchiladas but they did serve large portions. Very fair prices.
google avatar

Quincey H.

Yelp
I am more than happy at any Mexican place that has queso on the menu and overjoyed when it's good queso! I got the carnitas sopes which were so so good! I am often disappointed when I get sopes at casual Mexican places but these were great! The meat was perfect and they did not skimp on the toppings. My sister got the veggie tacos which she also enjoyed. We also got the churros which were decent. We also got free chips and salsa when we sat down! The waitress told us both of our picks were two of her fav items on the menu. All the waiters were friendly and dressed up for St Patty's day. The restaurant was busy but not too crowded.

Sue B.

Yelp
Great menu, food, and excellent service! The food arrived quickly and the server was very helpful snd friendly.
google avatar

Mickey P.

Yelp
This place was crowded even at lunch time. The service was fast and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Debbie P.

Yelp
Rice was mushy, veggie fajitas had a couple pieces steak in them. Was really disappointed due to it being highly rated. Was little pricey too.
google avatar

Dana O.

Yelp
Best Mexican food I've had on the east coast! Seems like a favorite of locals and I can see why. The fish tacos were great--no skimping on fish and they were crispy. Some other restaurants overload fish tacos with lettuce/slaw. Others in my party said the enchiladas were delicious too. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Betsy S.

Yelp
Don't order the Taco Salad. No taste and too much liquid in the bottom of the bowl. Inedible.
google avatar

Joann W.

Yelp
Great meal and service! Authentic Mexican food that was delicious. They have a large variety to choose from and a number of combo plates.
google avatar

Tony G.

Yelp
Unexpectedly delicious Get the guacamole All meals were delicious Chips were fresh

Kaite Z.

Yelp
The chicken taste horrible, I can say is totally bad and fishy smell, and I asked the person serving here, there service is terrible, he said he can not do refund, and I even eat one bite, so bad experience here, I am the influencer for the food Chanel for more than 2 years! I can say that's really bad experience! If you want to visit Tybee island, definitely not recommend this horrible service and bad Mexican food I haven't tried before!
google avatar

Miranda C.

Yelp
Great vegetarian selection! Affordable pricing and a huge menu! Parking is very limited so best to arrive early. Chips and salsa are yummy! The chicken soup is good lots of chicken you add your veggies to the soup as per your liking. The fish tacos are just okay presentation could be better.

Vicki A.

Yelp
Only ordered corn elote, it was dry like maybe cooked the day before. We asked for it off the cob 2x but it was not. Beer was warm and glasses dirty. Perhaps I am a Mexican food snob but in Cali this would never fly.

Danielle A.

Yelp
Very poor service. Wouldn't seat our table. Asked to seat outside. Asked for menus repeatedly. Did not seem to understand English. Asked repeatedly for menu after they did not understand said to stop yelling when no one was yelling. Very poor service so we left.
google avatar

James W.

Yelp
Nice host/greeter, quick orders, typical but tasty Mexican food. I don't drink margaritas but per friends, the best margaritas ever! Not too sweet or salty, top shelf liquor. This is my second visit with a large group of ten people, very consistent service.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Great service. Very fast. We got a few items and they had it by the time we walked there. Less than 10 minutes. Good Mexican food. Salsa is pretty spicy but that's how I like it.

Chloe B.

Yelp
The waiter was extremely rude. He yelled at my friend because she wasn't ready to give her order. They didnt tell us that asking for sour cream was extra, the food took super long, the food was bland and watery. Don't go here.
google avatar

Marquel H.

Yelp
Feeling like some Mexican while staying on Tybee? This is your place. Yummy food, good drinks and friendly staff. It was a Wednesday night and it wasn't very busy at all, got sat right away, had fast, efficient service and left with a full tummy and a happy party.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Tableside guac was worth every penny. Will def go back again. We had a large party and we were seated rather quickly
google avatar

Anissa C.

Yelp
The food here is great!!Great service and great food. Enough said. I'd come here again.
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
when i say this was the BEST mexican i've ever had. it was insane. the service was so fast and so so good, i got the carne azada which is a thin steak with grilled onions and i added grilled zucchini, it tasted so fresh and DELICIOUS. the queso was SO fantastic, everything was just good. this is an under rated place
google avatar

Patricia C.

Yelp
Loved this place! Great stop on Tybee. The Mole was legit the best ever--anywhere! Lovely staff, too.
google avatar

Macoisinha M.

Yelp
I was happy with the food of this place but service was disappointing. I ordered a margarita with salt and it didn't come with salt, when I asked about it the guy very quickly said he would bring. Not sure if he was going to bring the salt, another cup with salt or another margarita, but whatever it was it never came. Food was very good though. Fish tacos was delicious and chips and salsa very tasty as well. 4 stars because of the food.

Yelp
While on a family vacation from Minnesota with family, a group of 9 people with 2 dogs we stopped here for some good food and drinks. We were not disappointed, we sat our giant party on the patio with the dogs. We all ordered different things to eat and drinks. I tried to take photos of the food. Try to set food in front of 9 people and I say wait for the pictures. Hahaha. Now my family helps me stage the items for a photo.... We all loved the food and drinks. They had many good flavors of margaritas including Jalapeño. Yeah.

Sara S.

Yelp
I am so sorry if this ruffles feathers, but I personally feel like all the "positive" reviews are lies. They are either bought by the company, or are genuinely people who do not know what authentic Mexican cuisine tastes like. Our fajita nachos with steak tasted like a Philly cheesesteak sandwich from a gas station (a place w no business making Philly cheesesteaks). The steak is more like cubed steak than anything. If you live in GA you know what La Parilla is, and this doesn't even come close to that realm of already gentrified Mexican cuisine. On top of this, we got drinks that were extremely sugary. I know my fellow tequila lovers and beverage lovers know what I mean when I say it truly taste like for a 32 oz margarita, they put 2 shots of tequila if not 1. It literally had none. The worst part about this is when you pay card, it costs more. Our check for 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 2 meals was nearly $100 after tip. The food did not meet those standards AT ALL. The only thing worth paying extra for was the tip for our poor waiter who was more or less working the entire restaurant by himself (tall kind man with a beard). He said there was another server present, but I promise you he wasn't doing anything and looked like the bartender going around upset he had to help the ONE SERVER they had on the floor (shorter man wearing acid wash 2013 capris he probably calls shorts). It was disheartening to watch as someone who's worked as a server myself. We literally left with stomachaches and upset stomach issues when we got home. I am very shocked at the audacity the thrill of tourism has to make out of town folk believe this spot is safe or authentic worthy of such a large cost for the quality. Do not do this to yourself.

Laura G.

Yelp
Great food and service. Not fancy but so so delicious. Hit the spot after a day at the beach.
google avatar

Richard S.

Yelp
I have eaten at five restaurants for dinner and this is the best. Sevice is is good drinks are good and the food is excellent.
google avatar

bruce c.

Yelp
We had a need for a quick snack later in the evening and stopped here for Taco Tuesdays. And the margaritas were two for the price of one. Both excellent. Will return for a sampling of more on the menu. And the chips and salsa hit the spot.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
The best Mexican food in Tybee? I think so! Funny little place with no signage. (Their door is under the brewery). I had shrimp tacos and a side of guacamole, they were great! Prices were fair as well! Our server was young, attentive and had crazy nails . The owner seemed to be omnipresent which was great to see! Way to go!!!

Susan W.

Yelp
This was a happy accident. We were going to go to the brewery that is above this restaurant, but walked into Agave instead. Service was quick. Food was good. The atmosphere is what I would expect.
google avatar

Natasha S.

Yelp
Holy Cow!! SOOOO GOOD!!! The salsa was amazing and had a little bite to it. I couldn't get enough of it! I ate my weight in chips and salsa. My husband had enchiladas huastecas. He said it was amazing!! It was well cooked and tasted delicious (he let me have a bite)! I had the molcajete. Oh. My. Gosh. It came out in a huge bowl and it was HOT! It was so good that I had to slow myself down or I wouldn't have a tongue left. The Oaxaca cheese is one of my families favorite cheese. I highly recommend this one!
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
We waited 45 minutes in a cramped hallway to be talked to let alone seated when there was multiple open tables available the whole time, by the time we were seated we got our drink orders taken and then was seemingly forgot about for an hour until my friend had to literally ask and the server admitted he forgot about us when he had kept walking passed multiple times to take care of others. The food was okay, and they seemed prioritize the locals whole heartedly. When the server was taking away the plates he kept asking "you didn't like my food?" Even though we were obviously uncomfortable. Overall not a great start to a beach weekend.
