This was the worst Groupon experience in all the years I've used Groupon. Went there to celebrate my Daughter's birthday. I had a Groupon for $100 worth of food. It said we didn't need reservations but when we arrived we were met at the door by the rudest doormat in history. He told us we did need reservations. I asked if we could sit at the bar and he just grunted. We walked in and the music was beyond deafening. As we made our way to the bar we were almost knocked down by people dancing around not watching where they were going. It was a walkway, not a dance floor. When we finally made it up to the bar we sat down and the server came over. It was so loud I practically had to yell for her to hear me. I said, "I have a Groupon for $100 for food, can we order it here?" She said, "just a minute." She came back and said, "yes, but you have to spend $120." What a rip off. No way was I going to pay more, there was nowhere it said that. We left, and I contacted Groupon and told them. It's usually difficult to get your $$ back, but after they heard my nightmare story they immediately refunded me. If I could give it negative stars I would.

Multiple staff members saw us but didn’t say a single word. No “Hi,” no “I’ll be right with you,” not even eye contact. Just cold indifference. When my girlfriend finally asked one of the younger male staff if we could order, he told her he only handles tables — which was fine. She politely asked if he could let one of the female bartenders know. But the two women behind the bar, who weren’t even busy, acted like we didn’t exist. They looked irritated, unmotivated, and completely uninterested in doing their jobs. I’ve never seen such blatant disrespect from a place that expects people to spend their hard-earned money there. The way we were ignored and looked at was unacceptable. If your staff can’t manage a simple acknowledgment or a smile, maybe they’re in the wrong line of work. I’ve been to plenty of busy, chaotic bars where staff still manage to treat customers with respect and professionalism. There’s no excuse for this kind of attitude or neglect. I won’t be back — and honestly, management should take a hard look at who they’re hiring, because behavior like this drives customers away for good.

Great place great music. Bartenders need more training can’t even make a well balanced margarita. Margarita tasted like some sour juice didn’t taste any alcohol was super sober and I order 2. But the bartenders definitely took care of their LBC locals loyal customers as they should cause they were spending.

Im not gonna piss to the bank about 2 dollars; but just know if you come here and give the server a cash tip, they'll still add one on your card at the end of the night... and thats after adding gratuity. Pretty sure thats illegal

If anyone mentions having a birthday or event here, which happens often, I’ll make sure they hear about this experience in hopes they’d change their mind. Regardless, I won’t be back. That waitress is a thief. I want my money back!

Always a great time. Went for Saturday day brunch. I had the Michelada, red chilaquiles , and churro dessert.

The red bull watermelon margarita is DANK!!! Melinda is cool and Tuesdays tacos are 2 for $5, DEFINITELY an amazing deal for yummy, filling food.

Brunchin with the girls. Celebrated two girls birthdays. Coming here again soon for another girls bday. Food was good, drinks were good and pretty, music on point with the vibes. Gotta order a sweet breakfast meal next time.

Unfortunately, the crowd does not make for good eye candy in dress nor general appearance. Music mostly 2000's rap/hip hop. I don't think there was even a DJ, but they charge for cover. Women's restroom was flooded and disgusting. Not my cup of tea but it was crowded with a particular demographic.

Our server Daysha S offers AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. She's very attentive and quick with our orders and continues to make sure we were well taken care of Very friendly

I've been coming here for years to dance, so I was excited to finally book bottle service for my birthday through DJ Madd Scientist. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I requested the large section I've sat in before, and the DJ confirmed it was reserved. When we arrived, we were shoved into a smaller section while the section I requested was given to someone else. The server, Alondra, insisted this was "their largest section," which was clearly not true. And anyone could see that with their own eyes. An $80 "large party fee" (20%) appeared on my bill without prior disclosure. Free entry before 11pm felt meaningless since we'd already spent so much, and I even tipped on top of the fee -- that's just the kind of person I am. For my first time booking bottle service, this was incredibly disappointing. Management/staff clearly don't value their customers & lack transparency. I don't recommend this place for a celebration, even the vibe has seemed to go downhill.

Went to the new Friday Night Vibes with DJ Madd Scientist. Good times and amazing music. The DJs played a good mix of music so me an my group had a good time. I will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic brunch today. Energy was high, crowd was great and the staff could not have been nicer. Want to especially give a shout out to my girl Ana who took care of me more than most people in Cali restaurants.

Daysha was an amazing waitresss. Super helpful and made sure my mimosa was never low. Loved the vibes and atmosphere. Daysha did a great job at always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed.

Agave's Ultra Lounge is in the heart of Pine Street in Long Beach. Pine Ave. in the LBC is one of the main veins (if not the) that pumps energy, dazzle, pizazz, and basically pulsates life into the LBC. I can easily imagine Snoop Dogg rolling down the avenue, enjoying the nighttime breeze all the while, sipping on guava kombucha to replenish his electrolytes. His homies roll with him, all enjoying the people, sights, debauchery, and color of the scene. That is what Pine Ave. in Long Beach is: a street full of joy, action, opportunity, and people trying to have a good time; fulfill a late-night goal, or escape the chore of living with a wild night out. It is great that all these varied goals and more can be accomplished when you go to rumba at Agave's Ultra Lounge. I do not live too far from Agaves, and thus, when I have nothing much going on, the move is to go to Agaves to give life an opportunity to flourish. It may not flourish when I am there, but at least life is more likely to flourish at a hot spot than at my home, while I sit in the Red Queen (my couch of preference) watching Desperate Housewives reruns. And this knowledge that propels me to go out and explore life, hoping to seize it, is good advice for anyone who, at times, feels the twang of loneliness bite their being. But I am no guru; you accept my words continuously and implement the step of going out seeking adventure at your discretion. I know not all feel comfortable stepping into a club with no one in tow. You can see different people at Agaves. Girls who took time to dress to look fine (for themselves and others), and you can view gents that did the same too. But you can also see those who are quirky and express their off-beat style with bravado that, in my opinion, makes the night more vibrant because it belongs not only to those who dress appropriately for context, but also to those who dress and are diverse. That is the truth of what I can see, but the beauty of diversity is magnified when we consider that all of us who rumba at Agaves have hidden identities and stories that make the Agaves dance floor an inclusive mess, in the most delightful way. Next time I am at Agaves, I will remember this fact and dance a two-step in honor of the diversity and inclusion that pops off at Agaves. But in order for this to happen, someone must conduct the moment, and I think no one does it better than their premier DJ--A-MIL. I will be the first to admit that I have aged out of being cool. But I can still identify those who carry the cool gene well, and that is 1000% DJ A-Mil. I went to Agaves on Halloween night, the one that just passed, and DJ A-Mil was the one dressed in Riddle gear. But his talent is not a riddle to be solved--his talent and presence are an obvious answer to the question: Who can vibe Agaves to the heights of fun? I guess this can also be a Jeopardy answer. When A-MIL is spinning the discs or selecting music from a laptop, not really sure how DJs do their thing nowadays, but I can hear and feel A-MIL's presence. When people start leaving the club, I feel a shift in music that might draw them back, but in reality, makes those present want to stay. Thus, a few miss out, but more are infused by the choice and mixes of an effective DJ. Furthermore, DJ A-MIL has the presence and power to hype up a crowd to be a jumping joy. When I am at Agaves, with a crowd of strangers, and A-Mil is in charge of the beats, I feel one with the crowd--this is how music can become a universal language that connects all. I am thankful that A-MIL controls the music in such a way that makes the place feel like home--for a dance, for a sip, for a beat, for a look, and for me, and all others who dare to bump and grind at Agaves. Agaves is a treasure, and A-Mil is its guard. Go here, be happy, and forget all that holds you down. The music and vibe of Agaves will cut the balloons that keep you tethered to the ground and your woes. And to be iconic--I will say, as a wizard once did, everyone deserves to fly! Go here and secure your chance to do just that!

Lobster was flaky with a mushy texture. Rice was good beans needed more flavor. Possibly better if ate at restaurant.

The server Daysha was very friendly, polite and patience's with my large group for brunch. She made sure everyone comfortable. The drinks were flowing and the food came out hot and delicious. She held down multiple tables and all customers seem satisfied. I know we was.

This place was ok. It got packed real quick! The music seemed to be the same all night which got boring after a while. One thing they need to get together is the bathroom situation. How was only one toilet working for the whole establishment? The line was long so we decided to go across the street to the bar to have a drink and use the bathroom. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to attend this place again.

Don't bother in trying to make a reservation for a dinner party - this place doesn't even care to follow up with their prospective customers. I've been trying to schedule a dinner for a party of 10 since this past Sunday - they don't even have the courtesy to confirm or deny. I attempted to reach out 3x and via telephone what is never answered. After reading the other reviews about this place and with my own personal experience- I'll take my business and party somewhere else.

Last Friday I came to agaves In years I was waiting in line patiently and the group in front of me never scoot up and they were leaving one by one so I went around them to pay and one of the security guards (he's in the photo with hands in his pockets) got upset at me and said I couldn't come in because I did that when I explained they were leaving one by one which they did which is why I went around them and for some odd reasons didn't let me in nor let me speak to management and also said I'm too intoxicated when I don't drink . And I felt discriminated really wish I can speak to the owner/manager. Hopefully he'll have a good job one day and don't have be a security guard.

If you are considering bottle service here, don't. Read on for details, but I will keep it short. Sadly, I'm not alone (look at other recent bottle service reviews). We purchased the "$1,100" platinum package for New Years Eve which came with 3 liquor bottles of your choice and 4 bottles of champagne. The "VIP" line took almost 25 minutes to get us in, but the thing that makes that more of a joke is that people who got in the standby line at the same time as us got in before we did. But wait, it gets better. We get in at about 10:20 pm and after having to chase down our server 3 different times and the guy who booked our table, Tim, twice we finally got our 3 bottles...AT MIDNIGHT ON THE DOT. Do the math on how long that took. Any time I asked the server where our bottles were she kept telling us that they were really busy, which is understandable on NYE...but don't overbook your staffing capacity and provide horrendous service. It is now 1:15'ish, and still no champagne bottles. So I have to go and find our server...again...and ask her where those are. She seemed surprised that someone hadn't done that yet, then scoffs and says, "But I mean, come on, are you guys really gonna drink those? We're closing soon." Last I checked, we paid for a table, 3 liquor bottles AND 4 champagne bottles. Doesn't matter if we "finish" them or not. P.S. Expect to wait in line for the restroom. I'm a dude and I waited 23 minutes to use it (the female line was worse). Oh! And they forgot to mention the 20% mandatory tip, so it was over $1,400 dollars, not $1,100. Hope this helps someone avoid the mistake of going here for bottle service.

If I could give a negative star I would!! My sister literally got jumped in front of the security and he did nothing! The security tried to keep her phone and were dismissive to the situation. NEVER EVER GOING THERE OR RECOMMENDing that hole

Went with two friends, only had a couple of drinks each. Gave a $5 tip. When it came up on my bank app it stated a $60 tip!! No one returned my calls or messages. They are thieves!!!

Let me just begin by asking.. when has an establishment ever preferred free patrons over paying patrons? So we arrived at the club area which there was a line and was told that bottle service would get us in faster. We switched to the other line and as soon as we switch they were allowing all the free patrons to get in. We proceeded to wait 20 minutes and spoke to the guy who was handling the free patrons and he said that bottle service was not apart of his job description (understandable) but then we asked if he could get the guy in charge of that and he said we had To wait for him to come out. We waited another 10 minutes at which we began to get impatient. It seems that they were allowing all the Latinos in the establishment and very discriminatory. So we had our Latino friend that was with us, go to the guy who said he wasn't apart of bottle service to ask if he could get in and guess what??? He was able to switch line and cut in front of others to get in. At this point we became livid and then finally "bottle service" guy comes out and says we are being rude and he can't let us in. This place is very discriminatory amongst African Americans. It's sickening. We only wanted to have a good time like everyone else. This place is a culture vulture for sure . We only wanted to go here because they were playing hip-hop but then you discriminated against African Americans is wild to me smh

I just went here last night to celebrate Halloween and I won't be going back. It was my first time there and we got there around 9:15pm. I'm glad we got there early because after 10pm the place gets PACKED. Also the drinks are VERY EXPENSIVE yet watered down. But the main downfall for me is the fact that they literally only have TWO bathroom stalls (one in each room) for the ENTIRE place. The line was 30 mins long just to pee! Needless to say I left early because it was too packed and I needed to pee and couldn't wait in a 30 min line. The positives are the music was decent and the rooms are a pretty decent size. Also the vibe and decor is pretty chill. I won't be going back though. Oh and also there are 2 rooms but they play the same music in each room. Additionally the floors in one of the rooms was very sticky it was gross.

The environment was fun! Good music! Had a great time with the ambiance but the service was horrible! My group had gotten bottle service over a 600 dollars in bottles! I simple wanted a shot and decided to go to the bar. I asked the bartender for a Scooby snack and she served me god knows what it was horrible. I then asked for two other drinks and she rolled her eyes and said that all right?! I was baffled at the fact a bartender was annoyed I was ordering drinks.. don't be a bartender if one you don't know how to make drinks and two you don't want to make drinks. I've never been treated like that at a bar ever. I'm a pretty active drinker hahaha just thought hopefully the owners should see this and maybe push for customer service with their staff. Especially if they customers are spending 100's of dollars at their bar.

Love this spot! The staff is Amazing! Normally when we go to clubs the bottle service girls love themselves more then anything, the bouncers are on a power trip, and the people that go there are super extra .. NOT HERE! The bottle service girls are sweet and fun and easy to approach, the bouncers are incredible, they interact and actually have a smile on their face and the people that go there are super down to earth and diverse! Music is great, vibe is contagious and the energy is addictive! Hands down best club in Long Beach .. I'd even say better then Hollywood. Must go!

I just had brunch and attended the day party the food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable my waitress Marisol was super attentive and Very knowledgeable about the menu I would strongly recommend this place for brunch.

Place sucks bad .customer service is very bad .drinks r watered down the line for the bathroom is really bad too. We came in getting bottle service and at 1:30 they start saying we need to get out of the place they took my sister phone away from her hands which im pretty damn sure they cant do that. wouldnt let us use the bathroom at the end . Do not come here u might as well go to huntington beach where they at least let u stay until closing time Mangement sucks not recommending this place at all

Great food but service is crazy slow. Also, my girlfriend and I were sitting under one of the light fixtures and it leaked hot water or oil or something on her hand twice burning here (see picture). Told the server but they did nothing to make it right. Didn't even apologize. There's definitely better options down the street.

We came here for some music and some good drinks. The place is smaller than I had hoped. I came on a Saturday coverage was $5 dollars for both men and women. On top of the $5 coverage charge there is absolutely no street parking therefore we found parking for $10 dollars The dj mixed up the jams which was cool. He went from hip hop to rock n Español, and others like Michael Jackson. At one point I noticed a few repeats in tunes( which was kind annoying ) The girls behind the bar were all freaking beautiful and overall great experience

I waited 40-1 hour to finally get to the front of the line to find out it's $40 cash only. This is something that should of been said since the beginning. Very dissatisfied. The least they can do is let people know instead of wasting their time.

Agaves is such a hidden gem in Long Beach, I've been on a regular day to brunch to taco Tuesday and it is always a good vibe. The DJ is great, the food is great and the service is amazing. My server was Johnny and he's helped me on numerous occasions. His service is superior and he goes above and beyond every time. I give AGAVES 10stars, enjoy! -Pictured is a strawberry Margarita.

I bought my ticket for Long Beach New Year's Eve bar crawl through Eventbrite. My pass had agaves on there to do the whole bar crawl. I was in the line before 10 pm . I waited in line for over 30 minutes. I get to the entrance and the bouncer tells me I have to pay $40 more to get in regardless if I have the pass or not. I asked to speak to a manager . He told me no and that he's the one that made that rule . This place doesn't deserve not even one star . He said it was past 10:30pm so my pass wasn't valid . Never again will I go to this place . I was treated badly and I will never buy a New Year's Eve bar crawl ticket ever again. What a waist of money and time .

Came to dinner stayed for the music and wife wanted to dance. Must say food and drinks are on POINT wow. Was walking by and heard the music saw the line wanted to see what the hype was about.. Wife heard some hip hop and Reggeaton and wanted to dance. Security- John very responsive, respectful and great manners. Host - Aly very polite, and amazing service Server - Lauren wow impressed made some great suggestions and let me say 8 speciality craft Margaritas later feeling good. Gm - Diego wow rare GM come to check on guest he stopped by twice to check on food and drinks and made sure staff and everything was going good. Definitely coming back and looking to plan some private events.

Showed up much too early for a shindig with friends and decided to stop in to Agaves for a quick drink; from the ambiance to the service this places vibes are immaculate. My bartender was super friendly and the waitstaff was really attentive to other customers. There was a live music duo absolutely throwing it down. White boy me couldn't understand a single word being sung and I still couldn't help from vibing out. They serve large parties and smaller. I'd definitely come back

First timer here and came for my birthday celebration! Got a bottle service, Tim was amazing helpful with all the information and especially when I reserved last minute. My girls and myself really enjoyed the night! Love the music and service, honestly had the greatest birthday celebration, no doubt I will do this all over again! Thank you to Tim & the Agaves girlys for making this the best experience ever. Definitely will be coming back.

Don't go here. There's a phone stealing organization happening here and at Alegria. My phone was stolen out of my bag that was on my body the whole night at both places less than two months apart.

The food is amazing, my first time here and marci really took care of my group, please if your having a birthday or just want great brunch or authentic mexican food please come you will not be disappointed

THE MANAGEMENT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT SUCK! Take your money to Sevilla. Every single time I go here it's some dumb issue. First time months ago my bf wanted to stay at Shannon's with his friends and me and my girls wanted to go across to Agaves to drink. He sent me with his debit card, per policy lol, the manager not only refused my drink order, HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE CARD BACK. I had to make a big scene and demand my entire group of girls leave before he changed his tune and finally gave the card back, but still refused to allow me to buy drinks. Policy, ok whatever so I let that one go. Last night I go again, one of my homies is wearing a "white tee" I put parentheses bc his white tee was clearly premium quality material and probably more expensive than the shirt on the back of any worker there last night, my dude looked fresh, nonetheless it was considered a tee and he was refused at the door. But wait, by bf steps up, (he wearing a black hoodie, with a math tee shirt under lol) but his math tee even tho probably stained and ugly is acceptable since it's not white. Go figure. Anyways he gives his hoodie up to our friend. Now everyone can get in. Fast forward 20 mins later, we're inside, just bought a bottle spent $400 on it, it's my boys bday turn up so we also spend another $200 dollar bills making it rain on the waitresses. You can tell it's not often this bar has someone throw money bc those dollars didn't even hit the floor before the girls scatter to pick up every one. Anyways, my homie took his hoodie off. And that was the end of our night at Agaves. Bouncer escorted him out while he was coming back from the bathroom and no one would let him back in. Total shit show we spent probably 30 mins arguing with management about how messed up it is, ended up just leaving our bottle with the table next to us, and then walked over to Sevilla in the same clothes and made it rain over there instead. I've lived in LB years and always avoided Sevilla bc how large it is, I prefer smaller intimate places, but actually they were so nice the girls are beautiful and they don't kill the vibes like I've always experienced at Agaves. It can't be coincidence that both times I've gone here it was more drama that what it's worth. suggestions of an alternative: I have never been unpleased with my night at Alegria and now Sevilla is my new spot as well. I love when I go out to have a certain level of service provided. Lets be honest VIP is VIP for a reason. If I wanted general admission type service I would have continued somewhere that isn't as pricey as Agaves. This is not a place where you get what you pay for.

Security guard was a total dick to say the least. I took a phone call outside and watched a dude go through the middle gate and avoid the line since he had a wristband on. I myself thought i could do the same and when i tried following the guy in front of me the security guard got in my face and immediately cursed at me to get in line. Calm and confused I just stated I thought i could go through the middle since i just saw a man do it. After i go through the front gate and wait in line the security guard leaves his post follows me into the bar gets in my face and says "was it that fucking hard bro?" over and over. I didn't even bother wasting my time and effort on this guy because he is such a loser. Fuck that guy and fuck this place.

Had the best Sunday funday thanks to our server Nova. On top of our bottomless drinks never empty and very attentive and friendly. If you come here, deff ask for Nova as your server.

Arrived on New Year's night, security set us at our table 10:30. I had to stop the bottle service girl @11 she try to make us move from the table saying "these tables was reserved and paid for" I informed her that I reserve this table and paid for it,it's in my name check your paperwork. she informed us that we would need to sit outside and security will come talk with us. (As if two young black women can't buy a section for their self) I went to security myself walked around the club to find a manager with security, told him the situation he said he will come to take my order 11:30. The manager proceeded to inform me that their credit card machine was down so they're not taking any orders. I enlightened him, I had cash and still no one came. I proceeded to walk around the club again to find the manager could not find him went to the bar bought 4 drinks $20 apiece brought them back to my table, because it was time for the countdown at this point. three tables (mostly men) that got seated after ME got there bottle service the sparklers the signs the girls etc. I went to security again they said they will send another manager! after the countdown a manager came to my table at 12:15am took my order, brought it at 12:45 along with the check for $700 I refuse to pay Told him the story he Comped 1 of 3 bottle and one juice took back the redbulls and all other liquids on the table my friend offered to leave to go to one of the other bars but at this point I already left a $200 deposit online I was not going to pay to go nowhere else if this place already got my money but at the end of the day my happiness is what counts and I should have left

By far the worst club in long bitch. Went out with a group last night and it smelled like piss all over. The service girls too they smell horrible ! One of them took my girls phone that was on the table where she was serving our drinks m. Pretty much, she knew what she was doing.. and when they came back and we asked they answered in a rude way that they don't know anything. They teamed up with a person in there that too them . I was ringing the phone and a guy with a man purse , walked away after hearing it.

First of all the entrance is not free, the front staff is kinda friendly what makes it the worse is the bartenders. They are rude and cannot ask them nothing. The bartender literally threw the pen at me for asking why she was spilling the beer and pouring from a can. She literally served 2 cups with 1 can of beer. The cups were not well served almost half cups. And the beer was warm. I didn't want problems since I was visiting from out of town so I didn't continue to ask questions and just signed my receipt. I was expecting decent customer service since the entry was not free and the drinks were not cheap. They definitely need to step up their game and hire more friendly bartenders who are passionate about the art of bartending and not just there for the tips. Do your self a favor and do not go there.

My bf booked a VIP table for my actual bday 12/16 which was a disaster from the start!! They put us next to the entry way of there kitchen I believe but not quite sure.So yeah the whole time we had workers in our vip section,so we asked to be moved.They moved us next to the patio door.Our ice bucket didn't light up mind you we were the 1st vip guest there.Your tables are not blocked off with a rope so you have all kinds of people in your vip area.You are basically paying for a lounge couch.There was a unprofessional,rude & ghetto security guard that should not be working in a place we're there are multi culture people to be honest seemed racist towards brown people specifically us.This security guard straight up ignored me when I told him that my man paid for our table why would you make him walk all the way around to come back in which is ridiculous. He needs to leave that to the streets or find another job were hes not working with the public hes definitely not a people person especially working in a club.I turned my life around along time ago. I tried to like this place but it was just to much bs.I work with our underserved communities with a non profit & I am recognized by the city of LB.I would not ever recommend this place to anyone!

I DO NOT recommend this club at all guards were extremely RUDE and we ended up getting kicked out just because another guy grabbed my friends ass while we where passing by ... I remind you that we had just got there we practically paid 25 per person and ended up getting kicked out within 20 minutes of being there !!!! Waist of time and don't recommend goin go here guards and workers where all rude!!!! NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!

Honestly just an ugly bar. Charged us $30 to get in and the bathroom line was long and drinks were overpriced and they place the same music in both rooms. The security are also annoying sorry

Omg it was amazing, great DJ and service! Bartender on point ! Drinks on point ! Highly recommended!
