The hostess Axel was great! the bar area to sit relax after was fun and absolutely hit the expectation. My only complaints would be if you are given the option for safety glasses, or the helmet. I feel like I spent a bunch of time trying to adjust and fix my friends. It was hotter than the devils palace in the smash room. I must have sweat of 3 pounds minus the smashing pounds 😆 🤣. Those minor things. I had a great great great time. I would Def go again. but I'm bringing my own jumper that one seemed like 100+ ppl had worn it so I'm glad I had a cover for my head to wear under. and I found couple pieces of glass inside my shoe from the holes in the jumper. I definitely 😅 🤣 😂.. just go and have a smashing good time!!!

We had so much fun, much better than the last place we went! No hovering’coach’ critiquing every throw. We were given initial directions and tips as we needed them. We are beginners and just out to have fun. When we were done we stayed for drinks and a game of darts. So many things to do there, great service

Google
Agawam Axe House was my first time doing axe throwing and I was very impressed! You start the session with a coach who gives you all the guidance you need to throw successfully and then lets you enjoy your time. Everyone there was very friendly and its a great facility with a fun environment to hang out and play some of the other games there after you finish throwing axes. I'd definitely go back.

Google
Three stars because it is fun and can be a great place. With that being said we were a party of 3 and our reservation started at 6pm. They made us wait for two other parties to show up before going through the "lesson" which is just the same jokes every time. The other two parties did not show up on time and were NOT ready but we had to wait for them. Make that make sense. We were early with everything signed and had been there before but we were punished with a shorter throwing time because of people we didn't pay for. This was extremely upsetting! I paid for an hour and got maybe 40 minutes for the 3 of us. So keep that in mind. If they are going to do a group comedy show and the other parties don't show up at the reservation time ready to start, you will not get your hour and will be punished for the ill planning of others.

Do it! Addictive fun. Exercise that doesn't feel like exercise. Let out your inner viking! Axle and the Warden were fun and very informative

Yelp
So fun! Came here on our date night and would really like to come back! The feeling of learning to throw an axe and having it hit the bullseye is so satisfying. $20 gets you a lane for an hour with instruction and a selection of axes to try. They just opened in February 2018 and the staff and facility is great. Reserve and pay online to guarantee your preferred time. Give it a go, bring friends, you'll have a blast!

Yelp
Loved getting to take my Dad to the Axe house! The price is super reasonable, the instructors are super helpful, and it's a fun experience!

Yelp
I have been a league member for over 2 yrs now and still go once a week to practice. It is a great stress reliver and a lot of fun. The staff is extremely helpful and great at coaching. They will have you hitting the target in no time. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to do something different with friends and family. It makes a great date nignt.

Yelp
My friend and I came in for our second time. Initially we got two lanes to ourselves. We got penalized down to one lane because I broke one of the target boards by throwing the axe... isn't it expected to happen when you throw heavy sharp objects at a target...? After that the coach kept standing behind us and watching making the whole experience very uncomfortable.

Yelp
Had a great time Saturday night with the family, we decided to try something different and try some axe throwing. We rented a lane and 6 of us got together and headed over the Agawam Axe House we had such a fantastic time the instructors were great showing us how to throw and by the end of the night we had all gotten at least one bullseye. I never expected it to be as much fun as is was. Having a group was a blast but i also feel just a couple would be fun too. It's pretty loud inside but when your throwing axes at Wood you can expect that. We will definitely try this again.

Yelp
Came here with a group of about 20+ people. We all had a great time, instructors were amazing, and the environment was great also. We started with an introduction of how to throw an axe, followed by a few more ace tries, then moved to a single elimination tournament. The tournament was very competitive and enjoyable. Come here for a unique experience and to relive some stress.

Yelp
Very cool little place. Wife and I made a last minute call for a reservation and they got us right in. Nice staff and instructors. Favorite part was that our instructor left us some privacy once they showed us how to throw. Solid price for an hour of throwing. Will go back.

Yelp
I could not be more pleased with our experience at the Agawam Axe House! The staff was receptive and helpful in booking a surprise party over the phone, was supportive when I stopped by to view the venue and plan for my party, and could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating on the day of the event. I booked a pit for 2 hours with 12 throwers and a few additional spectators. They allowed us to arrive early to prepare, decorate the space, and bring a smorgasbord of food. Our coach, Clutch, was encouraging, easygoing and helpful. ...I think everyone who threw ended up with at least one bulls-eye under his guidance. I am what my friends teasingly call "a delicate flower" - in no way did I expect to enjoy throwing axes! But trust me, I was pleasantly surprised; it was an amazing time, was completely safe, and was way easier and satisfying than I had imagined. Would be a great activity for team building, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorettes, or even just a fun night out with friends or on a double date. It is something different to do and provides a breath of fresh air in Western Mass.. support your local businesses! Try the Axe House!

Yelp
Loads of fun with a slightly dangerous flare, definitely going back as soon as possible and with any luck often. It's a great stress relief and team builder and that's an opinion developed after one session! Staff were friendly, spot was decent and it hooks you very quickly. Getting that black dot next time!

Yelp
I see a lot of great reviews here so maybe I just got unlucky or I'm just miserable but I'll share my negative experience. Last week I made a reservation with myself and our groomsmen to come here before the wedding. We got there for 12 when our Res started and had to all fill out waivers. It took us about 10 min for everyone to find it on the QR codes and get it signed. We then had the safety instructions. We started throwing axes around 12:25. It felt like we just started throwing and at 12:50 the associate came in and yelled 10 minute warning! At 12:55 she came in again and yelled 5 minutes warning!! And then right when it turned 1 pm she rushed us to get out and was visibly annoyed when we asked her to take a picture of the group. I kind of felt like our hour should have started at 12:25 or at least 12:10. I'd understand the urgency but there was literally nobody else there. All 8 lanes were open. It just felt like she was breathing down our neck the whole time and we couldn't enjoy ourselves. All my groomsmen agreed and actually said I should write this review. Additionally, one of the guys came 5 min late and she would not allow him to throw with us. She could have easily given him a quick lesson.

Yelp
Cool setup, fun with a group or just a couple people. Staff will guide you on how to throw. There are also some cool games to play. Other axes are available, definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Fun times something different to do in town. Was here during a fundraiser good time. Anyone thinking about it, swing on in check them out. Its not hard don't have to worry about being athletic or having prior experience,. The staff that will show you what to do if never done it before so can take some test shots, relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
Surprised my hubby with this for an anniversary , super fun! We get competitive and at first I wasn't making any of my marks but the people were super helpful and got me a different axe to try. So fun and the time flies by !

Seamus S.

Yelp
Booked a lane for 6 people ($20 per person) and only 4 could make it. Price is paid in full ahead of time and they would not reimburse for the two people who could not make it. Whether it is 6 people or 4 people does not affect any other customers or inconvenience their business. It is one lane booked either way. Very poor customer service. They ultimately lost out on money in the long run as we will not return because of our experience. I would suggest throwing a hatchet in one of your friends back yards and saving yourself the unnecessary money spent.

Yelp
This was our first time throwing and we had a blast. We had a group of six, thanks to Hannah for her help on the art of ax throwing. Ages ranged from 22-72. We had an hour of time and each of us had about 35-40 throws. Fun night out, hours are kind of limited. I suggest you call and reserve a spot. Each throwing section has two target.

Yelp
So much fun! Who knew chucking axes at pieces of plywood would be so enjoyable? It's set up in lanes of two, with dividers in between, so depending on how busy it is, you might be throwing axes next to people you don't know. $20 an hour, we reserved a "lane" for four of us in advance, and since it wasn't busy, we used both lanes in our section. You have to sign a two page waiver when you get there - basically appears that if you chop off something important on your body they aren't liable - and make sure you wear closed toed shoes and bring ID. Once signed in, the clock starts (a literal count-down clock), and you get instruction on do's and don'ts of axe-throwing, along with serious safety tips. Then you do some practice throwing, and if you are interested, can use scoring sheets provided to compete among your friends. The hour flew by, we had lots of laughs, lots of terrible throws, along with a few bull's-eyes (you get a nice "Stuck It" sticker when you hit your first one). It's a great way to spend an hour with friends.

Yelp
Had a great time..great teachers and something different to try!! Definitely would recommend it!!!

Sara V.

Yelp
This place is such a good time. It's was nice to try something different and to be honest I wasn't very good at it, but our coach, Max, was great and was good at offering pointers and helping me find the right axe, and it helped I ended up getting a bullseye. It's a good way to spend the evening, and let off some steam.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Fun time. Staff was very friendly. It's loud but what would you expect throwing axes at the wall. It's takes a little while to get the hang of it I would have loved to see the staff demonstrate or at least show off their skills. It was pretty cool overall. Worth trying.

Yelp
hearing the cracking and splintering of the wood as if one just hit a Zombie is refreshing everytime. (no Zombies were hurt when typing) many different size axes, Great Times at the Axe House. want to return the next day. Happy Axes!
