Google
I stop at Ageha Sushi because my friend has recommend me. Surprising that their sushi taste is nice. All the ingredients are fresh. The waitress also nice and they provide the fast service. Price also reasonable. Good place for nice Japanese dinner.

Google
This sushi spot offers fresh fish, generous portions, and friendly service at a reasonable price. We enjoyed the tartar, chirashi, and sake.

We came here after the show. Luckily there was no wait and no line. We were Estes very fast and the waiter got to us very fast as well. The service was good and fast . The food was good , but not super good. That’s why 4 stars.

Google
I went in person before a Broadway show recently and the quality was great. It was fairly empty when we went. It was my first time in person as I normally order delivery from Ageha. That I've done many times and it can be a bit hit or miss when it arrives, but generally has been a positive experience. Personally, my favorite is always the Google roll. Delicious!

Google
I’d recommend this sushi place, variety of sushi, interesting combination, friendly service, available seats after 6pm

Went in for the lunch special and was pleasantly surprised with the options available. I went for rolls, but there are bento, sushi, sashimi, and specials for two. It came promptly and was accompanied with salad and soup which is a nice touch, you usually have to choose. The presentation is nice and it tastes even better. It is fresh and has a good flavor. I also ordered the bubble tea which wasn't as good, the tea itself was good, there was far too much ice and all the bubbles were chalky on the inside which really detracts from the point of having bubble tea. The service is good and it is not loud, allowing for pleasant conversation. You are able to see the menu online which is a nice touch, and you are also able to place orders for delivery. I would definitely go back!

Google
I placed a $30 order online and got charged more than $100. After calling my bank and filing a claim with proof of receipts, Ageha Sushi denied my claim and told them I spent $100. Be careful with your orders. Will never come back!

Google
Delicious fresh sushi (we got the sashimi deluxe, special roll, and chicken teriyaki). Portions were great bang for buck, everything was delicious, the chicken was awesome too thank you. My favorite was the white tuna, almost creamy.

Yelp
Great lunch specials, it included rolls, soup, and a salad! I got the three rolls special and the eel and salmon avocado was great! I would skip the yellowtail scallion

Yelp
Great after work meeting spot with a group of friends. Sushi was fresh and prices were reasonable. Friendly service. All I remember was a good time, drama free, everyone enjoying their food. I am pretty much a sushi roll aficionado, anything with avocado and I was pretty pleased with the menu.

Yelp
(Overall: 83% | B) - Overall, the service and ambience was pretty reasonable with an acceptable quality of food. The food is pretty good value but has room for better growth and technique. (Sashimi Deluxe: 80% | B) - The portion size is incredible for this large platter of fish for only $28. The slices of sashimi are extra thick and large cuts as well. Unfortunately, most of them do not taste particularly fresh or flavorful besides the yellowtail. (Yummy Pizza: 82.5% | B) - When I saw sushi pizza on the menu, I knew I had to order it. Despite its looks, it actually tastes good and could be elevated as its essentially a reshaped spicy tuna crispy rice. This dish desperately needs some freshness mixed in in the form of scallions in the spicy tuna and a squeeze of lemon, some eel sauce, or even the imitation crab mix could give this pizza a lot more interesting flavors in addition to what was presented. Yelp
The slices are huge. Fish is on the cold side but at least it's fresh. The sashimi entrees are definitely worth it.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp! Ordered three rolls, the salmon avocado, spicy salmon, & spicy tuna. Also shared the sashimi deluxe with my boyfriend. The salmon avocado & spicy salmon were both incredible! The spicy tuna was a bit of a let down because it tasted like the sriracha mixed in with the fish overpowered the tuna flavor & it just tasted strange. I also tried one of the shrimp tempura my boyfriend ordered & it was also fantastic. They have two shrimps in each roll. The sashimi deluxe was probably my favorite! The tuna & salmon were heavenly, my only complaint is there was faux crab on the platter & that just seemed cheap. Waitress was kind & the food came out quickly. We were sat near the door & during the winter it wasn't the most pleasant with people coming & going. Was about $95 for two people before tip. If you have BILT they're also part of the dining program so you get 6x the points. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Our first Hello's Kitchen experience. Ageha Sushi offers tons of food selections. The service was great. We asked if they have hamachi kama that day and they were so kind to offer us what we were craving for even if it's not on the menu. The ambiance was great. It was busy but not loud. Great overall experience in NYC. We highly recommend this Sushi place if you're visiting.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from this spot as it had good reviews on the delivery site. For a weeknight during prime dinner time, this place was very quick. It arrived within 30 minutes of ordering. If you're really looking for a quick affordable sushi fix, this place will do. However, it is very much a fusion spot so I wouldn't go expecting authentic sushi/delicate flavors. For ex, the spicy salmon roll was not spicy and could have done without the crunchy tempura bits in it. Also, the shrimp tempura was also very heavy (felt double fried?) and the sweet sauce was a bit much. The yellowtail scallion was solid though!

Yelp
Grabbed a quick lunch here! Their lunch specials are a bit more expensive than what is listed on Yelp and online (~$2) but still a good deal for a lot of food! Soup and salad was tasty, as was the dumplings and the roll that came with my lunch bento box (I substituted for a avocado cucumber roll because of allergies). My chicken katsu was good, nothing incredibly flavorful but very satisfying. The chicken fried rice was very yummy, a bit under flavored and needed extra soy sauce, but still very good. Overall the food wasn't incredible but it was a good, large meal that was super satisfying for lunch. The Alaska roll was also good, not a lot of cucumber compared to salmon and avocado. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. The service was fast, especially given there was only one woman working the front of house and the take out counter, she was doing a great job.

Yelp
A solid sushi place in the neighborhood! We visit every time we're craving a quick and delicious Japanese meal. We got the Dynamite Roll and Indian pancake. The sushi here is delicious, filling, and fresh. Service is no frills and efficient. We've come here for lunch and dinner; both are excellent. Will continue eating here!

Yelp
Great meal. Found this place on Yelp when looking for nearby sushi places. Got the seaweed salad, a salmon avocado roll, and some sushi a la carte. Service was fast and efficient, especially for a Sunday evening. Will be back!

Yelp
The quality of this fish is great! They give you big slices of sashimi and the fish tastes very fresh. I especially loved the salmon. Buttered grilled squid: 7.5/10 Salmon Don: 10/10 Sashimi Dinner: 9/10 Hawaii Roll: 8.5/10 This is a great quick stop before or after a Broadway show. You are going to get a good, quick sushi dinner.

Yelp
Likes - food is ok - service (regular) and simple decor - hell's kitchen (busy area) Dislike - little bit stomach issues

Yelp
Got takeout from this spot and I was NOT disappointed! I decided to try the Bento Special for dinner. I got chicken teriyaki with a salmon roll as my sushi roll choice. Firstly, the portion was massive. I was impressed by the quality of the food and the amount provided. Secondly, it was all packed super well and I like how the sauces came on the side, too. I can't wait to order from here again and try other items!

Yelp
This restaurant doesn't look like much from the interior, but this cozy sushi restaurant is a nice gem in NYC. We came on a Sunday afternoon and had very prompt service. For drinks, I had the mango margarita and my girlfriend had the coconut martini. The margarita was flavorful with enough mango taste, but the coconut martini was pretty watered down. We both enjoyed our various sushi rolls. The Manhattan Roll had a nice spice to it, and the mango and sweet shrimp gave it a good balance. The banana tempura was delicious with a sweet crunch and side of whipped cream and sprinkles.

Yelp
Great quality sushi but unfortunately the last time I ordered delivery, one of the rolls had a lot of plastic Saran Wrap left inside of the roll by mistake.

Yelp
If you're going here, stick to the simple stuff. The spicy scallop roll was alright. The sushi per piece was alright, except for the salmon belly which was wonderful. The roll was bad. The sauce tasted so off that I barely ate any.

Yelp
We ate at Ageha Sushi after the NYC Marathon for so much refueling! I had the Angry Tuna roll, the Spicy Heaven Roll and the Happy Mango Roll. Portions were huge and the fish was very fresh. Service was quick and friendly. The ambience of this restaurant isn't so fancy - quite casual, but it is comfortable and clean. It is located off a busy street in Hells Kitchen which was walking distance for us from the Midtown area where we were staying. We made reservations online and were seated right away. This was a great sushi stop for the night and I enjoyed it very much.

Yelp
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place. I've eaten from here many times. Mostly delivery, and only dined in once. I usually do the 3 roll lunch special. Comes with soup and salad. Solid rolls! I had the sushi pizza recently and really liked it. I really love the fact that the crust wasn't drenched in oil as it usually is in other places. I'm really glad they made it through the pandemic, as my usual spot sadly did not. If you're in the mood for sushi, this is a great place.

Yelp
If you're crazy about salmon like me, then this is THE place for you! Atmosphere: cozy, chill and friendly. A perfect place for a good meal and drinks after stressful work Food: this salmon lover was the best I've ever had in this neighborhood. Salmon pieces are so big. Very fresh indeed. You get 8 salmon sashimi, 4 salmon sushi and a crunchy salmon roll. They were allllll excellent. Drinks are also reasonable, but unfortunately there are no happy hours. Wish there are better chopsticks and salads... but overall this is an excellent place for me. I'm so happy to find this place in my neighborhood!

Yelp
Been here so many times... reliable for sure. Food is very good and some portions are bigger than others but overall solid. Service is attentive and polite. Don't miss it.

Yelp
Took a day trip to NYC today, never been so had to get some good sushi! As per usual, my cousin and I went together. First of all, the place is super cute! They had great atmosphere and extremely polite staff. They were patient while we decided what to order and I really appreciated it! First we had the Tuna Wasabi Dumpling. It was so yummy! The tuna was thin but not too thin to where it was ripping if you picked it up, and inside was a very flavorful seaweed salad with wasabi and served with some greens. The lettuce with it was perfect to add some extra crunch. It was so good, I want another. We also ordered the Sakura Roll and their Wasabi Roll. The Sakura Roll was great as well, with a sweet sauce on top to contrast with the savory flavor. The Wasabi Roll was soft and crunchy and the fish was great! Each had great portions in them too. Not too much avocado, just enough rice, and generous amount of fish. The Chefs platter came with 10 pieces of assorted sushi, with a spicy tuna roll. The fish on the sushi was just so good, we managed to get 3 yellow tail! (Our fave) so we were very happy. The salmon was especially delicious, melted in our mouths. The platter also came with a nice side of miso soup we shared. After we got mochi and boba tea which was a great way to end our dinner! Great place, love it! Def drop by if your in NYC!

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere with quick and friendly service, I got a California roll and it was very good, paired with the Sapporo beer.

Yelp
- Ordered takeout - I enjoyed the miso and loved the yummy pizza and viking roll - Surprisingly the yummy pizza was very flavourful but it was also spicy - Two sets of rolls and one other dish would be enough for 2 people - Seems like we ordered all the rolls that had spicy mayo, next time will try some others

Ray W.

Yelp
Service was good. Food is good. Sushi is about average, it's NYC so competition is tough. Their menu is extensive. They have Japanese and Chinese food. General Tso is good, noodles and their hibachi meals are good as well. I frequent it often and try new things each time off the menu. The menu has a lot of dishes!

Yelp
Ordered carry out and got some combos - be prepared for a very heavy and well packed set of fish! We ended up having two meals instead of one. Quality was good, the fish was fresh. I especially liked the tuna roll. Would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here, so this review is not for a dine in experience Overall, it's good for what you pay for. The food was packaged nicely and the rolls were creative. But compared to other sushi places, the taste was a bit lackluster. Maybe it's the quality of the fish or, probably so, the rice. Excellent sushi restaurants really focus on the rice and let that shine. It takes a fine balanced sushi zu (vinegar mix) to bring sushi to the next level. I feel this place didn't have it. Overall, it's a good spot for take out and the price point is good for sushi. Not one of my favorites, but would recommend!

Yelp
The restaurant was pretty quiet and not fancy or anything. The sushi and sashimi platter for two fed us very well. Nice spot on 9th Ave.

Yelp
This place had yummy sushi! It was fresh and tasted great. Order came quickly and was correct. I ordered the Tuna jalapeño, 2pc eel a la carte sashimi, and a spicy salmon naruto. Total was $34.73 including tip, tax, and delivery fee. So kind of pricey for certain items. Tuna Jalapeño: very good. Thought it was kind of funny it was served with fresh jalapeño on the side. I just forked them together. $12. not worth it. 2pc Eel sashimi: had a nice glaze on them. Tasted good. Would maybe order again. A little pricey for two small pc. $4 Spicy salmon naruto: can def taste the salmon. I liked this one. Would order again. Not very spicy though. The sauce was good and I liked the fresh avocado. Would def order again. $13 Wasabi was nice and spicy. Ginger was fresh. I'll be ordering from here again to try other menu items.

Yelp
They have a pretty good selection of American sushi here. Recommended: - Salmon (Fresh & Delicious) - Lychee Margarita (Go for Happy Hour) - Uni Sashimi (Definitely delicious and great price) Not recommended: - Sashimi Deluxe (All the fish other than the salmon weren't so great, especially the tuna) - Mai Tai (bitter) - The rice (nigiri) I'll probably still return for the salmon and uni.

Yelp
Good go-to Sushi place in Hells kitchen. Fresh, beautifully presented and good service

Yelp
Expansive menu with above average food. Ageha has something for everyone. Usually I go for sushi, teriyaki, or Ramen. Ageha does all of them above average. Good place to go if you have people with different preferences.

Yelp
Chirashi is best in city!!! This is my go to spot for fresh and amazing tasting sushi! The atmosphere is so authentic Japan. The staff always welcoming from the moment you enter. OH and don't forget to take a melon candy on the way out...tasty!

Yelp
Came here because a friend recommended it, but I'm just meh about it after the experience. Located in Hell's Kitchen, it wasn't too crowded during Labor Day happy hour. Price-wise the sushi was cheap and you get a good amount for what you pay for. $15 gives you 3 rolls for a lunch special which is fairly decent with the better options like spicy tuna, yellowtail and shrimp scallions. Quality-wise I think it is a mixed bag here. Being from Cali, we get a lot of good sushi there and I definitely wanted to try some NY sushi. Cuts are fine and not too thick. On one hand their Sea Bass Sushi is pretty good, better than what I get in Cali. Some of the sushi was fresh tasting like the yellowtail but not all. An example is the Ahi which is not so great. It was way too chewy with too much sinew. The Chicken Katsu, Indian Panacakes, Fried rice were decent and were nothing too special. There was a lot of decent options but nothing too stand out. Service wise is where I think this place marks lower on because a friend of mine bought the lunch special but got charged for something much higher than the $15. Apparently my friend got something else when he was supposed to get the lunch special but didn't and they gave him by mistake a higher priced item instead without telling him. We had to argue for a bit because he didn't know before they finally set it at the price of the lunch special. This was a mistake that they admitted but it did but a damper on the whole experience. Overall, cheap sushi that gets the job done but be wary of what they charge or deliver you. Make sure your order is right here otherwise it's just a headache for you.

Yelp
Visited this location with a friend on a weekday evening to beat the sushi cravings. Location was not busy but sure as hell got our sushi served pretty quick. For the desert, definetely try the matcha fried ice cream --it was really good so I totally recommend it!!

Yelp
With a lot of local restaurants closed in midtown by my office, we decided to try sushi takeout from Ageha sushi in hells kitchen. Their menu is very large and they seem to have a lot of different lunch specials. I ordered an avocado salad, a spicy shrimp mango roll and a spicy scallop roll. The salad was a little disappointing. Mostly avocado with one cucumber and a small layer of iceberg lettuce beneath it. The spicy mango shrimp roll was good. I was surprised the spicy scallop roll came seaweed outside as opposed to rice - I like rice on the outside. My friend had the salmon teriyaki lunch special - he said the salmon was very weird. Someone else tried the chicken fried rice meal which they said was very good. Their delivery was a little late. Would have to try ordering from there again to see if it's a similar experience.

Yelp
It's "happy hour all day" at Ageha Sushi! 50% off sake, beer, and cocktails from Monday through Thursday (might even be Friday too, but I came on a Wednesday so I don't really remember). I ordered a Dynamite Roll (tuna, salmon, avocado, spicy crab meat and tobiko on the top) and a regular tuna roll. Both were fine - your standard takeout-quality sushi. BF had the Salmon Lover (four pieces of sushi, eight pieces of sashimi and one spicy crunchy salmon roll) and he loved it. But it's probably just because he's a salmon fiend. Don't expect amazing quality sushi. Do expect pretty good sushi for the price you pay, cheap drinks, and good service. Tip - we found out after the fact that Ageha had 10% on the Groupon cash back deals so make sure you claim this before you pay!

Yelp
I thought this place great! It has great prices on everything from wine to the appetisers, and the overall mood of the restaurant was great. It's great from anything casual to a dinner with a family for a more serious event. The staff did make me feel a little bit rushed with my food at the end, but overall very kind. Recommend for a simple night out!
google avatar

Yelp
Cheap sushi in Hell's Kitchen. Lunch specials will net you a lot of fish for a low price. Sashimi is big and satisfying, though I've had fresher fish. The flavors are there and you get plenty of food. Hard to beat at these prices.
google avatar

Edelmira T.

Yelp
Delicious! The portions were huge, but that did not affect the quality of the sushi. Service was impeccable. Will definitely be going back.

Pauline M.

Yelp
They were nice enough to let us sit with a time frame since a large party was coming in

Yelp
3stars Kalbi- 2 stars. rubbery sweet beef ribs. Sandwich sushi- 1 stAr. unable to figure out what this is Chilean sea bass- 4 stars. At least 4 oz of chilean sea bass. Tasty and not fishy. Lots of fresh veg on the side. Salmon Mango roll- 6 pcs of not so good small sushi roll. Skimpy on wasabi Crazy roll- 3.5 stars. Ive had way better!
google avatar

Sherin S.

Yelp
Amazing sushi!!!!! It was my first time trying out this place and I gotta say it did not disappoint. My favorite has to be the happy mango specialty roll! It was so delicious and the perfect mix of spicy and savory. We also got a combo roll (spicy salmon, tuna?). Also their website is awesome because there is a picture of every item in the menu
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on Friday around 3:30 pm and it was super empty and quiet! We were seated immediately and our order was taken/the food came out pretty quickly. I had the shrimp tempura roll. It was good but didn't blow my mind. I love eel sauce so I'm glad it came with that on top. I also tried the teriyaki chicken and, to me, it was quite bland. Their miso soup is average. If I had more time, I would've tried more rolls. 4 stars because of the service and cleanliness of the restaurant, including the bathroom. The food that I had was just average, but I know that I probably would've liked it more if I had the chance to order other items.

Yelp
Hell's Kitchen area friendly neighborhood sushi and Japanese food restaurant. A relaxed and casual non-demanding vibe inside, with a pleasant and welcoming staff. We shared some appetizers of: edamame (really good!), and gyoza (just okay), and a couple decent rolled sushi of a shrimp tempura and an eel/avocado. For main dishes, I had their udon with ebi and vegetable tempura (only so-so ... the oil used for the tempura tasted a little old), which was okay but satisfying on a chilly night like this. One of my daughters had their chicken hibachi (also only okay), but my other daughters and wife had their chirashi sushi which was very nicely presented (kind of a deconstructed version of this scattered sushi rice bowl) and fresh and tasty. Overall, their sushi was good and better than their other dishes.
google avatar

Aarti G.

Yelp
I know that this place has a lot of good reviews but I had a really bad experience and won't be coming back. I ordered sushi from here through Doordash. The order and pickup were fine. However, the sushi was not good. I don't know it was a bad batch but I had to spit some of the pieces out, it was not fresh and tasted sour. I will say that not every single piece I ate was bad, I thought it was just a few bad pieces but then I got really sick afterwards so I will not be going back.

P R.

Yelp
Small no frills restaurant. We ordered the lunch specials: Spicy Tuna, spicy salmon, salmon with avocado and shrimp with avocado with salads. The restaurant smelled slightly fishy, but not a big issue. The food was fresh. If in the area for lunch I would go again.
