"You cross a small garden-cum-olive grove to get to this romantic and elegant restaurant situated on the enchanting Isola delle Rose, a private island accessible only by boat. Overseen by chef Emanuele Scarello, the resident chef here is the young and talented Lorenzo Lai who serves two tasting menus: “LagunAmare” features top-quality fish while the “Giardino delle Rose” is a vegetarian menu based on vegetables grown in the restaurant’s own garden. Both menus showcase the rich selection of produce available in the lagoon and the biodiversity of the island itself. On summer evenings, an aperitif on the charming outdoor terrace is highly recommended." - Michelin Inspector
We stayed at this hotel for a mother daughter R&R trip, and decided to treat ourselves to dinner here. Michelin stars (and for good reason!).
The service was exquisite and personalized, and the food was creative and delicious. I appreciate that they had two different types of tasting menus, as well as an option to do a smaller portioned one for if so desired.
Key highlights:
- started outdoor dining near the garden where they source the ingredients, with cocktails made tableside for you
- the general manager made sure to take care of us and helped us to feel well cared for, as well as exchange genuine feedback and conversation
Definitely worth the investment for a luxurious night out and a meal that has gets your creative brain and palate thinking!

Very excellent dinner experience. New and very interesting locally inspired recipes. Service was also flawless and very attentive. Great explanations about the dishes and ingredients a lot of which are grown in their own garden on the island. Can only recommend.

This place is...... Incredible, delicious and I'm not sure you can find a better and more attentive service. If this place only has only 2 Michelin stars, I wouldn't even begin to comprehend what a 5 star one has to offer. These guys hit it out of the park.
The menu is fine dining to the max, and even if this might not be your thing it's impressive and worth trying.
The service is extreme. You will feel like royalty when you are there.
I can't say enough about this place.

The food was mindblowing, the atmosphere even better!! The service was impeccable too. The concept of the Venetian lagoon and the land really comes alive in every plate. Better than most two/three Michelin star places I've been to.

I highly recommend for an absolutely exquisite dining experience. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the ambiance was both elegant and welcoming.
A very special thank you to Elena and her wonderful team for making our visit truly unforgettable. Your warmth and attention made all the difference — especially the time you took to show my daughters the magnificent garden. It was a beautiful moment that they (and I) will always remember.
Grazie mille! 🌿✨

Best food in all of Venice! We had Venissa, Le Calandre, and Antico Osteria Cera prior to this, and Dopolavoro blew them all out of the park! 🤤 Don’t miss out. I would happily come back here (particularly for the amberjack). The cardamom sumac dessert reminded me of my childhood. And of course, the staff and presentation were impeccable. I appreciated how they introduce you to the team when you arrive, and the grounds are a treat to walk around. We left with happy hearts and full bellies.

We came here as a relatively unplanned part of our broader Venice trip. I am so glad we did. We’ve been to fine dining establishments all over the world and this one now firmly sits at the top of that list, not least because of the phenomenal service. You won’t regret coming here.
