Agnel d'or is a French restaurant in Osaka with 1 Michelin star. Hidden in the quiet residential area, the façade and interior designs of the restaurant are simple yet chic. The main dining room is minimally decorated, allowing guests to pay more attention to the food. Servers are professional, helpful, and accommodating. There is only one tasting menu (JPY 17,500/person + tax + service charge) for dinner. Wine pairing is JPY 12,000/person with 8 glasses of selected wines. In addition to using seasonal local ingredients, owner chef Fujita-san also focuses on incorporating special wild game meat, such as rabbit, turtle, and deer, into his innovative French cuisine. Each dish is cleverly constructed with its own surprising factor(s) and is beautifully plated. Highlights of the dinner include the fresh and crunchy Sanma Spring Roll, the exquisite Softshell Turtle Terrine with Ham, and the refreshing Somen with Shrimp Tartare.
