Absolutely, hands down, the best Indian food I've had probably ever. My sister and I decided to venture to Agni Indian Kitchen today for lunch and I'm so glad we did. We had the restaurant all to ourselves, but I really want to encourage people to visit and support this local Triad gem.
No, there is no lunch buffet anymore. Thanks Covid. However, you now have the glorious opportunity to experience fresh, made to order, Indian cuisine. The dinner menu is offered, and yes, the prices are a bit higher than I would like to pay at lunch time, but the portion sizes and taste absolutely make it worth the money. My sister and I tried the Paneer Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Garlic and Basil Naan, and Gulab Jaman. Let me just tell you, EVERYTHING was incredible. The Naan blew me away and was the perfect accompaniment to the buttery, creamy and rich dishes we chose. The entrees were about $16/pc, but we had leftovers of everything, except dessert. We couldn't dare leave that.
As we sat and dined, our glasses were always full and the gentleman working was kind and attentive. He even went to get us a sampling of Tamarind sauce for my sister and Mint Chutney for me. Both of which paired well with our dishes. I really hope that we as a community, can support places like Agni, that once relied so heavily on their lunch buffet patrons, but are now struggling to keep customers to stay and enjoy what they are offering. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best Indian food I've had.
