17 Brunch Options for Takeout and Delivery in D.C. | Eater DC

"For a $40 a person, enjoy a three-course Mediterranean feast of Turkish and Lebanese dishes that includes a bottle of Champagne and choice of juice with every order. The brunch box includes a three-bread sampler and choice of one entrée and side. Call the Dupont restaurant, or its Tysons sibling, for carryout or delivery from staff. Dine-in is also available (11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.)." - Vinciane Ngomsi

Where to Find Terrific Turkish Food in D.C. | Eater DC

"Agora isn’t exclusively Turkish — it also has Lebanese and Greek dishes — but there’s a large selection of dishes from Turkey. Making a meal of small plates is a smart move. Go for the Brussels sprouts with urfa peppers, kibbeh, and fried baby eggplant topped with beef." - Aparna Krishnamoorthy

Lived at Agora for over three years and absolutely loved it. They meticulously clean and maintain all common areas, hallways, amenities, etc. daily. Responses on maintenance requests are second to none (although I rarely needed anything, everything was in great shape). Most importantly to me, I always felt safe. The neighbors are the best. Everyone who works at The Collective are superb. The concierge team always went above and beyond. Yes, the amenities, location, and rooftop views are fantastic but the amazing team and neighbors are what made it hardest to leave. I would recommend The Collective to anyone looking in SE DC.

I'm fairly new to the Agora (2 weeks) but so far I love living here. Arlen has been, and still is, an amazing person who made my move seamless, extremely responsive, and made me feel like I was home from the beginning. The amenities is also a huge plus, which I tend to utilize as soon as I finish unpacking. The concierge is friendly, the neighbors are friendly, and the space is extremely clean. I highly recommend moving here since it is definently worth every penny. The view I have every morning is also the icing on the cake. 🥰 10/10 highly recommend.

I moved into agora in May and have loved everything about it. The amenities are amazing, I never hear my neighbors (upstairs or on either side of me), maintenance requests are always fixed quickly. Also Nora and Jessica at the front desk are always so sweet! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet place with great amenities. Updating my review to give a shoutout to the cleaning staff because it’s always spotless in all the buildings at the collective. They do an amazing job!

Djenabou Barry made my move to the Agora very easy. She truly made me feel at home during the visit and I immediately applied to rent at Agora. She has helped me throughout the move in process and is the first person I ask for help at the Agora. If you are looking to move to the best building in Navy Yard Capitol Hill, take the time to ask for the best leasing agent, Djenabou Barry. Thanks.

This review is a reflection of living in Agora for a year and a half. We unfortunately had to move due to some personal reasons, and we were so sad to do so. We had the best time living here. Arlen is incredibly thorough and personal, and is always on top of his game. Ashley puts on the best events, and did an AWESOME job transitioning from in-person to virtual events when Covid-19 started. Virtual wine tasting, virtual olive oil tasting, virtual gym classes, and cooking classes. We really appreciated having things to do while quarantining. The maintenance staff is super friendly and amazingly proficient. They were always professional and able to fix whatever I needed in a timely manner. I think one of the things I'll miss the most is the amazing people at the front desk, specifically DaSean and Rashid. They greeted and talked with you like a friend, not just someone they have to say hi to. It was always a bright spot in my day when walking in or out of the lobby and seeing them there. Best spot in the Navy Yard. Don't skip the opportunity to live here!

DO NOT MOVE HERE! The amenities are nice, sure, but the apartments themselves are horrible. We pay over $4,000 for a 2 bedroom and it's 100% not worth it. We've lived here for less than a year and have already had our floors repaired and entirely replaced multiple times. (The outside crew the building hired left trash in our unit.) Our bathroom ceiling has leaked twice from the unit above us. Our kitchen cabinets had to be reinforced. And our fridge is constantly leaking - We've had it "repaired" 3 times, yet it continues to leak to this day. I've asked for a new fridge, but management says no. Management is truly awful. They take forever to respond and will nickel and dime you for everything. You even have to pay out of pocket for large trash disposals. The lease is very misleading. There are a bunch of other buildings in Navy Yard that you're better off at - save the money and don't move here.

Great place to live! I have lived at both Park Chelsea and Agora. I absolutely love The Collective. Big shout out to Arlen in the leasing office. He is so attentive, professional, and great to work with. When I moved apartments he helped me get everything I needed in a timely fashion and worked with me throughout the move. I highly recommend The Collective if you're looking for a friendly, fun place to live!

We moved in a few weeks ago and have loved our experience at the Agora so far. Arlen McCorkle is the best leasing agent I have ever worked with. He made the leasing and moving process seamless and walked us through everything in detail, and was patient with the things we were particular about. The building is wonderful and has more amenities than you could ever ask for. I have also been extremely impressed with the concierge staff so far, everyone I have spoken with at the front desk has been friendly and helpful. We moved here from another luxury apartment building in the area and I can truly say the Agora is a cut above the rest in every aspect.
