I always love coming here! The deli salads are delicious. Also, thanks so much to the man (whose name I forget) who helpfully guided me towards the baking item I needed and indicated they might carry vanilla paste in the future, and thanks so much to Andi at the checkout for a really nice conversation. I love the quality, the selection, and most importantly the staff here!! Any chance you could start carrying Maine Root ginger beer (and their associated pop varieties)? That ginger beer is basically the only thing that makes me still occasionally go to Whole Foods, which I’d love to stop doing!

I drive past 3 other markets to come here and have been doing so for years because it is simply the best. The quality and selection of the produce, meat, fish and deli is top notch, they stock a ton of excellent local products, cater to many different diets, and I don’t think I’ve been there even once without being greeted personally by the owner, who clearly takes great pride in his business. I’m so thankful to have such a great place to shop locally!

Honestly one of the best grocery stores ever. The produce is top notch as well as all the meat from Slagel Farms. I will be going to Agora for all my shopping. It's local and not owned by some billionaire which makes it even better. I would highly recommend shopping here. Just a fantastic store!

Lots of great deli items, fresh produce, and snacks. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon so be ready to need some time to park and check out. Prices are higher than bigger stores but so is the quality and range.

My favorite time of the week is when I get to make the trip to Agora. Finally produce that is fresh, meat that is locally sourced. Getting good quality food is a non-negotiable for me so visiting this store once per week is a must. So glad I found them through Instagram! Fingers crossed they open a location in Lincoln Park soon.

I generally am a fan. However I still can’t bring myself to return to the butcher counter. One visit, a meat counter worker was mopping the floor behind the meat counter, holding the mop with his bare hands. He then took my order. I was expecting him to wash his hands and put on gloves before grabbing the chicken I requested. He did neither. I said never mind, and reported this to someone who seemed to be with management. People who handle raw meat really need to be trained and held to a certain standard of hygiene. Hopefully the message from management got delivered and there’s an eye out for basic food handling safety. Especially with the pricing at this upscale grocer.

The only downside is the price. But I've worked at grocery stores before, and the margins are super tight. A smaller store can't compete with the chains in price. So, how do they add value? Quality of product. I know a pound of ground beef is going to cost a little more, but it's not going to suck. Also, for someone living in Bucktown, the location is damned convenient.

Best grocery store around! Great produce, great selection of vegan, vegetarian and ethnic products. Perfect size to get on and out quickly and very hard working, knowledgeable and nice employees across the board! This is my primary grocery store.

My husband and I went to Agora Market to pick up food on our way to a cookout. The Agora Market is well maintained and looks attractive. The layout is disorganized. It was difficult to find the things we were looking for. Their fresh food counters are on opposite sides of the store. But the worse thing was the prices. We picked up a Caesar salad (mostly lettuce and cheese) for $12.Our bill for hot dogs, sausages, and the Caesar salad was over $50. This is ridiculous. The employees were friendly. For choice, convenience, and price, you can do a lot better than Agora Market!

I absolutely LOVE a great grocery store! The smell, the hustle & bustle, and the fresh produce gleaming at you makes me smile ear to ear. Since Kroger bought Mariano's, my patience with them has grown into an overall disappointment at the degradation of a Chicago staple. So I've looked elsewhere. Once I found this place, I think I have found my grocery store "heaven". Well stocked, produce that tastes as good as it looks, attentive staff, and still reasonably priced? I'm completely on board with that combination! Every time I have been here since discovery, has been an absolute pleasure! Highly recommended!

Yes, prices are more expensive than your typical grocery store, but I love the quality, selection and service. In particular I I've their butcher section. Fresh Market Place offers a wide selection of Slagel Farms pork, chicken, and beef. You can't beat this quality. The butchers are informed and even offer cooking prep suggestions. Publican Bread, another tough find, is sold here as well. It's great to have a small local market with so many great finds. Produce is again pricey, but very fresh. I wouldn't suggest completing all of your grocery shopping here, but strongly suggest checking out the butcher and produce sections. Pro Tip: Table 87 pizza is sold here. .. and it's better than any frozen pizza in your freezer.

My all time favorite grocery store in Chicago. Have been a regular customer from before the name change. I have not been able to find the quality this place offers anywhere else. Also the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I cannot say enough good things about this grocery store. I stopped going to the big name stores & started shopping local. The selections are fresh, the meat counter always has the best quality selections, you can't go wrong with any of their in made in house salsas, cream cheese, cheeses. The store is always very clean & welcoming. The service of this place makes everything even more worth it. Everyone on staff is kind, helpful & really there to support their neighborhood shoppers. The owners are incredible people that deserve the world. Truly go above and beyond where they can. No reason to shop anywhere else

Produce quality is okay for the price. They have some great deals on meats, which is what saved this place for me, but other than that. Meh. Peaches were terrible, but that could have been a hit or miss just like many places.

Best grocery store in town. Always a great selection and friendly staff! Lots of local favorites including Slagel Farm meats, which is my personal favorite! Highly recommend!

Great neighborhood market that is actually fun to shop at. I am always surprised by the unexpected items that can be found in this small store. For example: Publican and Aya breads, Elegant Farmer pies, Sputnik and Dark Matter coffee, Slagle meats, Carbone pasta sauce, organic fruits and vegetables and any number of locally sourced products. They even have propane tanks, firewood and ice. Occasionally I even receive a random 10% off.

Gotta give it to Fresh Market Place, their customer service is consistently nice. Local grocery store with loyal, committed staff and shoutout to the Produce department, always on point, keeping it looking fresh and right. Freshly bake bread, deli meats rotating. Good selection of wines, plus.

Shopping here is like at home but in a store. Very nice selections of food items. The best of quality. You got what you need and feel relieved. It is a Beautiful place and the staff is very friendly. They are observing health protocols and of course the place is very clean. I am enjoying this place when I need to buy something for later use at home. Just come here and you will experience a stress-free moment. The Parking space was not so crowded at that time. I will recommend Fresh Market Place to all of my relatives and friends who are very fond of shopping. Buying relieves stress. Let's shop!

The best endorsement I can give for Fresh Market is that there's a grocery store on my block, but we choose to make the drive here. I started coming to Fresh Market several months ago because it was on my way back from a place I worked out. At that time, I liked the store, but it never made my regular rotation (Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, Trader Joe's). Once the pandemic hit, we started coming here mainly because my husband is picky about the quality of the meat he eats at home and they had good options for him. We keep coming back because we've found so many things to like about the place, especially how seriously they're taking worker and customer safety. Fresh Market is small and there are a few areas where selection is lacking a bit, but overall we've been pleased by the quality of fresh produce, prepared foods, deli and meats. Even when restrictions are eased, I expect us to continue shopping here. I like supporting shopping small and supporting a local business.

Favorite grocery store! Kindest employees and quality food. They've got some taco meet that's delicious and their cherry turnovers are awesome.

Food is overpriced. Why are canned goods and cereals 2x higher here and than anywhere else? The meat selection is good and nice ambiance, but cost a small fortune for basic groceries.

I'm planning to make vegetable salad. So I came here and started to purchase what I need. I bought a dairy product first. I purchased condensed and soft milk. Then I went to the condiments area and purchased the seasoning that I needed. After that I bought a bottle of wine because I want to put some glass of wine in the salad to make it taste unique. After that I went to the fruit and vegetables area. I purchased cucumber, lettuce, apple, pineapple, green pepper, radish and many more. All of this looks fresh and delicious. Lastly, I went to the counter and paid for it. I bought everything I needed. I'm so excited to make a salad. I highly recommend this grocery store. Come and try this place.

There's not much entertainment in a grocery store. What fun is it to squeeze someone's melons, or grab a handful of sausage? Is it really fun to suck- lemons? Heck, who's up for cherry pie? Ok, I have the maturity level of a 7th grader. Thankfully, Fresh Market will make grocery shopping convenient and affordable. Their meats are locally sourced, and their produce fresh. The staff is friendly, and their in house kitchen makes great food to order. The place isn't huuuge, but their liquor selection gives you plenty in the 'hood. If you don't wanna trek to the bigger place down the street, Fresh Market is a great local alternative.

Fresh Market Place has a crazy good beer selection! They have had cases of Bourbon County Barleywine for awhile now...get on that! They also have Hopslam 6 packs for $18 and just generally, a ton of good craft beer options. The craft beer is what had me coming here in the first place but now their meats, cheeses and other items are what keep me coming back. Prices are very hit or miss so know what you're doing when you're buying from here. I have found that their meat prices are fantastic though and they offer a good selection. All my protein buying needs have been met through Fresh Market Place. I'm a simple girl and my cart is full of beer, meat, cheese and veggies. Done and done! I don't usually buy produce here though as I don't think the prices on their fruit & veggies are fabulous. Be sure to bring your reusable bags people!

This place is great. Really good food at decent prices. Slagel farms and publican bread among the great suppliers.

I love Fresh Market Place not only for the fact that everything is available here, but for the quality of the items sold. Veggies, fruits, greens you name it they got it. All of these items stay fresh for more than a week minimum. Breads available here are the best. No item is ever damaged or returned which I brought. It is very clean, spacious, and well designed. The aisles are wide apart and the store is one big space that is easy to navigate through, making the grocery shopping experience even more enjoyable. Nice to have deli corner, and many self-check-out kiosks in this store, which usually makes the line move faster. High quality with good prices.

We came here to buy some foods that we need. We planned to visit an orphanage and we want to give them food. We grab two carts. We went to the selection of bread to buy a lot of bread, a tasty bread. We put it in one cart. After that we bought different kinds of filling for bread including peanuts, chocolate, strawberry and many more flavors. We put it in another cart. Then we went to the chocolate and candy section. We bought different kinds of sweets. After that we went to the fruit section. We bought apples, grapes, bananas, oranges and mangoes. Were lucky that we bought everything we needed. And we were glad that they gave us a discount and some freebies. The staff was nice and kind. They have a good service. And they help us put the box of food in our car. We're sure that kids will be so happy with this.

4.5 stars. I love this little neighborhood grocery store and try to shop here as much as possible. The owner is always there and very friendly, as is the staff. Its easy to find what you are looking for and frankly they have a very good selection. You wouldn't think so given the size of the grocery store, but they really do. Things I buy: 1. Guacamole - way less expensive then whole foods and tastes better. 2. GT Kombucha on tap. 3. Publican Quality Bread. 4. Honey Mama' organic bars. 5. Beer - they have an excellent local selection. 6. Tortillas - lots of local options. 7. Burritos - they have a little taqueria. 8. Amish Eggs 9. Salmon. A couple things are a little pricier then other grocery stores, but thats to be expected. And some of their meat looks a little sketchy, but they do have organic slagel farms beef so I usually go that route. Ample parking in the lot, just be careful getting out. Western traffic tends to move fast. I wish they had a side street exit.

"Fresh Market Place" in Bucktown is a nice neighborhood grocery store. Everything that is related to "convenience," she's got it! - onsite customer parking - nice outdoor patio - a cute "cafe" area for quick bites - clean deli, meat, and seafood departments - good selections on wine and beer for a store this caliber I still prefer some other Hispanic supermarkets in the city for cheaper fresh produce. For those who reside in this part of Bucktown, it's a solid place for your fridge essentials.

It's simply the best! As far as grocery stores go it definitely has the best soundtrack. I have heard SAXMAN and a SAXMAN remix played here, which honestly is very impressive.

I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review (considering I send everyone to this grocery store). I don't think there are many better things in life than having a local grocery store that provides most everything you need, in a convivial manner, and won't settle for anything less than exceptional. This is where it pays to shop local. Some may argue you may spend some extra $$, yet it's worth every penny. To me this is the Cheers of grocery stores (where everybody knows your name) Plus, I'd way rather frequent my local grocery store than bar. If you're looking for a grocery store where you can get specialized items, spicy salsas, local artisan cheeses, meat & bread, tasty granola, GTS Kombucha on tap AND watermelon water (plus so many other items), then stop by. My mom and dad will visit us tomorrow. So I want to prepare some food to cook for dinner. I came here early because some food that I bought was sometimes quickly sold out already. I went first to the selection of pasta because I want to cook carbonara, which is my fathers favorite. He has loved carbonara ever since he was a kid and my father taught me the recipe for it. I'm glad that I bought everything I need in carbonara. Then I went to the seafood and meat selection. I bought a kilo of shrimp and some grilled chicken. All these two look fresh. Since we have wine in my house I didn't buy a bottle of it. So I came to the counter and paid what I purchased.

We needed groceries since we are preparing for our family's Christmas celebration. There are lot of grocery store around but we chose to go in here instead because many people said that this store has a better selections of products and they were definitely right. The store is wonderful, clean and has spacious aisles. everything is well organized and on stock. The produce section is full of fresh produce which is really important on our groceries because we are going to cook a lot of food. Everything we needed is literally available. The prices are almost the same with the other stores around. We got everything then we checked out. The cashier in there was friendly and helpful. Checkout is fast and overall, this is a really nice grocery store.

Fresh Market is my go-to store for groceries since the pandemic started and so far, I did not really have a bad experience. It is near my place and is very accessible and convenient for me. It is always clean and organized. It is a small grocery store compared to the other grocery stores around but the basic items I needed at home are available in here. The staff are always in a good mood, friendly and helpful as well. Sometimes, I want a particular item but unfortunately is they do not really have it. the good thing in here is their fresh produce always. I like their produce selection because it is always fresh. Also, they have a nice butcher section and pork, chicken and beef are available. It is also fresh and it has a great quality. The prices are seriously higher but I am still thankful because I pretty much get good groceries and it is very convenient in here.

I came here at noon so there are only few customers inside. l park my car easily because they have free parking lot. When I enter there are lot of costumers inside. I though there only few since its lunch break. Im hassle in buying my groceries since there is someone blocking my way went I went to ther selection. I spend an hour buying all the staff that I need. I'm so hungry already and I'm here waiting in a long line at the counter. It's so tiring and boring. But it's nice that I bought everything I need in this grocery store.

This place was huge. They have free parking. The floor was clean. The staff are busy doing their job. I went to the selection of produce products. I bought some veggies and fruits including apple, grapes, banana, cherry, strawberry, pineapple, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, corn, lemon, pear, mango and tomato. It was all fresh. Aside from that I bought chips, cookies and juice. They have cold drinks so I bought coke and drank it. I also buy burgers and fries since I get hungry when buying all of my groceries. I like their fries. And their burger was also good. It's perfect for the coke that I bought. About their customer service, it was great. The staff was nice and friendly. They are available if you need help. I highly recommend this grocery store.

I bought these on a Friday and it's sad that this is the outcome, but thankfully I did try to replace them Saturday and was able to without issue

We drive out of our way to get Boar's Head cold cuts at their deli. Always loved this place, but last night my husband went there and saw a homeless man out front, he offered to buy the man a sandwich, the owner/manager overheard this and said since my husband was so generous they were going to give the man whatever he wanted to eat from the store, hooked him up with a sandwich, chips, dessert etc. Then when my husband went to go pay for his groceries, they gave him all his groceries for free. I love that this place did that, my husband was so happy about the experience he had, I will always shop there even though we moved a little further away because they did this. That's the way to take care of your community.

They have like 3 extra charges on top of state tax. One is for a bag, and you get charged even if you bring your own bag. The other one is 10.25% and I have no idea why they charge that. Awfully rude checkout ladies. Updated 2019: the store stopped with the extra charges. I'm glad we all spoke up because that was incredibly illegal. They have hired friendly cashiers. Things are getting better. Still you have to check the quality of the produce, more often than not the produce is very close to expiry. Overall the store has improved in customer service and they stopped ripping customers off with hidden charges.

The store was clean and bright. The shelves are all very well-organized and fully stocked as well. The goodies have a good quality. The produce section is full of fresh fruits and veggies. Butcher section is wide and full of good quality meats. The liquor selection is also nice and the selection is wonderful. I like their prepared foods because it is convenient and although prepared it still have a nice taste and flavor. I have been here for a few times and what I have observed is compared to the other grocery stores around the prices of the most of the products in here is noticeable higher. But it is still a great store and I would still definitely go here to buy some goodies.

We just moved to this area about a month ago. We immediately fell in love with this place this first time we went and have fallen more in love with every trip. It's a two blocks away from our house and we can do all of our grocery shopping here. They have a curated selection of quality goods. More than that, their customer service is on point. All of the employees are friendly and seem genuinely happy to be working there. Today we walked over for our weekly grocery haul. We ended up getting more than we expected and so made a comment when checking out about not knowing how we would carry everything home. The cashier offered to get us an uber to help out. We were blown away by the generosity of his offer.

My friend will come over to my house so I need to prefer drinks or food. We just want to hang out and it's been a long time since we saw each other. My wife was busy with our baby so I'm the only one who went to the grocery store. I'm the one who will cook so I know what to buy. I park my car easily. When I enter I can see few people inside. I grabbed one cart and started to grab my needs. I bought pasta for carbonara and spaghetti. Then I went to the seafood and meat section. I bought chicken, crab, shrimp, lobster and fish. Some of it is grilled. Then after that I went to the produce section to buy veggies and fruit. Lastly, I bought a lot of beer. I'm happy that I bought everything I need.

We planned to make a fruit shake and cupcake to sell in the park. It was a holiday and there were so many people there. My wife wanted to make cupcakes and fruit shakes so yesterday we came to this grocery shop. There are few people inside. I grabbed one cart and we started to grab the products we needed. We purchased milk, flour, baking powder, white sugar, chocolate cacao, and many more. We also bought a cup, paper glass, paper plate, plastic spoon and pork and plastic. After that we went to the fruit section and we bought lemon, honey, strawberry, mango, guyabano, avocado and watermelon. My wife was happy since we bought all of our needs. Were glad that we didn't wait long at the counter. We had a nice experience in this grocery store.

This place was awesome up to a month ago. Whoever does the liquor buying (specifically vodka) has made it so we will have to choose a new grocery store for all our future purchases. There were a few customers next to me having the same issues. High end vodka then super low end. No in-between!? I get whoever does the buying probably doesn't drink vodka. You are great at beer. But, my vodka choice over my husband's beer choices looses. There are other places to go to. Hope you guys figure it out.

Love this grocery store! The produce is always fresh, they have a really large selection (always in stock whereas other grocery chains here I'm struggling to find certain items often times), and the prices are VERY reasonable. They have some great craft beer here and are always stocked with new varieties each week. My favorite thing about this place though would have to be their deli counter. 6" sub sandwiches for $6-7 can not be beat! They are the best. I searched for a long time for a decent cold sub sandwich in this area and couldn't believe it was right here. So glad I discovered these, I always get them. This is my go to store, even after I have moved away from being around the corner I still drive here. There is a parking lot you can park in for free. I never have trouble finding a spot.

I love fresh market place! Their salad bar and hot bar is my favorite go to when getting a bite to eat. They have so many unique finds for the healthy guru or if you want to try any micro-brew finds. So spacious, organized, and overall inviting to shop there. Excellent variety of supplements, health food, bulk food, on the go food, fresh produce, smoothies, etc. Etc. Great place to shop. Everything you might need for a week's stay. Always a clean, nice environment. The staff and cashiers are very courteous and friendly. The prepared foods are very tasty. Very exciting to shop there and pretty good prices too.

The store is definitely one of the nice grocery stores when it comes to the quality of the products especially their produce and meat. Whenever I go near this area, I do not miss to also visit the store always after I knew that they have great quality and nice selection of produce and meat. The store is also clean and the layout is easy and everything is well-organized making it easy and convenient each time I would go in here. It is definitely not the biggest store but they do have great selection of products. The staff is friendly and it is sometimes quick in the checkout and there are also times that there is a long line and I have to wait for a while. Everything seems pretty great in here except for their prices. I bet everyone know that prices in here is kind of expensive compared to the other groceries around making them not really the best option for regular and big groceries shopping but definitely a good choice if you wanted high quality produce and meat like me once in a while.

This place is a short 3 minute walk from my home and I frequent this small, yet extremely well stocked grocery weekly. Great deli, butcher, wine/beer and produce sections (I can get daikon here). Also a wide array of international selections like Thai, Indian and Mexican items. The prices are pretty decent as well. My only issues are that the bread selection is weak as are the snacks. But my main gripe is that some of their items are damaged, yet still put on the shelves. I purchased a slightly crushed box of chicken broth that when I brought it home discovered that the inner seal had popped due to the damage and the broth had gone bad. Outside of that I will gladly return here instead of going to a larger, more commercial grocery store with inflated prices. I still need to try the restaurant inside.

This is my all-time favorite grocer. First of all, with a name that includes "fresh," you damn well better have great produce. Fresh Market Place goes above and beyond in that regard. Nothing on the shelf is less than excellent and management makes a point to constantly check quality. In fact, they even bought their own farm recently to have more control on their supply line. For a midsize store, they pack in so many items and their variety is constantly expanding. From vegan items to high-end meats, Asian ingredients to Latin staples, FMP has it all! On top of selling quality products at a fair price, Fresh Market Place is so responsive to customer comments. If you can't find an item, let the store know and it will likely be stocked within a week. Everyone who works here is so friendly and they really established themselves as a big part of the neighborhood.

This grocery store is slightly better than going to Walgreen's, but not as good as Target's produce section. Its proximity to my apartment is really great, but the prices were kind of high and they didn't have most things that I like buying when I go grocery shopping. They're definitely a three star location. Why am I giving them four stars? They have fresh parsley. Not only do they have fresh parsley, but the parsley was priced at 69 cents for a decent sized bunch. It made my day. So, yeah, I like parsley, okay, weirdo, we get it. They also had fresh mint and cilantro! Be still my beating heart, I found my fresh herb heaven and it's SO CLOSE TO MY APARTMENT. (Five stars could be given, but I'm not feeling all that generous) I just browsed since I don't need a fridge full of groceries before going home for Thanksgiving. They have a cute cafe area in the back with some warm foods, their deli meats and cheese were priced similarly to grocery stores in Michigan. I could see myself shopping here for most of my grocery needs. I agree with the other reviewer that butter did seem ridiculously expensive. I haven't been paying attention to their adverts, but hopefully their weekly or monthly sales will make things more affordable.

Perfect neighborhood market! The store has an open layout and is airy, but is small enough to still feel like a good local establishment. It is also clean and has a similar feel of a mini-marianos with 37 pieces of Latin flair. (I mean, what do you think of people that do the bare minimum?...) They have a good selection of produce and a nice deli. The produce is fresh and are at very reasonable prices! The staff is very friendly and they want to make sure you leave with everything you are looking for. They seem also very receptive to suggestions, which is refreshing to know that there are grocery stores that really want to be a service to the community. Also don't overlook the liquor section, as it may not be an albatross liquor store... but the beer selection is honed in. (Any place that carries small town root beer and founders dirty bastard makes my cut.)
