Iacobucci

"Large, well-spaced-out tables arranged in a charming historic setting make this a restaurant for special occasions, whether you’re here for a romantic dinner or simply for a gourmet experience. Here, chef Agostino Iacobucci serves unmissable classic favourites, from interpretations of raw fish to his famous babà dessert. The restaurant is housed in Villa Zarri, an enchanting late-16C residence surrounded by mature grounds." - Michelin Inspector

From start to finish, our visit to this remarkable restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The cuisine masterfully balances extraordinary quality and creativity while remaining deeply rooted in culinary tradition. Every dish was a testament to the chef’s refined technique and thoughtful composition — both elegant and deeply satisfying. The service was impeccable: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, without ever being intrusive. Special mention must go to the sommelier, whose expertise and passion were clearly evident. His wine recommendations were perfectly paired, enhancing and elevating each course with subtlety and precision. This restaurant may currently hold one Michelin star, but it clearly operates at a two-star level in every respect — from the food to the service to the atmosphere. We would be absolutely delighted to return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly memorable fine dining experience.

One of the best culinary experiences I've had. The service made us feel as if the whole night was prepared for us. The dishes were unique, interesting and more than all - delicious! Special thanks to Oosma, our host, for a service experience we have yet to meet. Waiting for the next time...

What a amazing place. The restaurant is located out in the county side, with a huge park and garden. All vegetables are home grown. The Interior is just one big Wauw effect. Beautiful ceilings and very decorative chandelier. The food has also an stunning taste. A lot of vegetables, all from the garden. The waiters are very polite, not to much not to little but spot on situational awareness. There isnt a wine meny to select, ut the sommelier will guide you for a good bottle, or more. The courses comes in a steady good place, with time to enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but not to long wait. A perfect pace of you ask me. The price is fair. Try it! Remember to look a little in the park, its beautiful.

Absolutely a fantastic experience! The 12 courses menu was truly a discovery with new flavors and textures with every serving (plates are also works of art). The wine pairing, chosen by the somm was a perfect match for the food served and I tried some wine varieties, I never tasted before. Service was worthy of royals, with every course explained in details as well as every pour. If in Bologna this Michelin starred gem shouldn't be missed!

We had the pleasure of dining at Agostino Iacobucci this past Friday, and it was an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bologna. Opting for the Historical Menu, we were treated to a culinary journey that was both innovative and deeply rooted in traditional flavors, deserving a solid 5/5 for the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The thoughtful historical and modern decor, grounds of the restaurant location and ambient lighting created a perfect setting that complemented the exquisite dishes, earning a well-deserved 5/5 for atmosphere. The service was professional and attentive throughout the night, contributing to our dining experience. However, there was a slight hiccup as the staff missed an extra note I had included in my reservation and reiterated to our server/sommelier leaving the service at 4/5. Overall, Agostino Iacobucci delivers a memorable dining experience with exceptional food and a charming atmosphere. It's a gem in Bologna that I look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful restaurant and very kind service too. The place is wonderfully decorated, with large plants, high ceilings and generous tables, making one feel like an absolute princess. However, the food was disappointing. The carrot dish was far too acidic and the rhum baba tasted like nail polish remover. The sfoglia shell had been pre made and filled prior to serving, making it stale.

This is an excellent place little outside Bologna in a fantastic palace where the Chef takes the effort to see ALL guest multiple times during the dinner, highly appreciated. What we particularly liked, apart from the outstanding menu, was the nice and perfect speed in which the courses were served to us.

A restaurant with one Michelin star, first time in a Michelin restaurant. The food was outstanding, delicious and simply a work of art one after the other. Each dish that arrived was more beautiful than the last, we took a 10-course tasting menu with 4 glasses of wine that change with the order of the dishes. The on-site sommelier made sure that each wine matched the dish that was served to us, the level of service of the on-site waiters: the knowledge, experience and understanding were amazing. The whole restaurant is in a stunning Italian villa/mansion on orchids scattered throughout the restaurant. The chef went between all the tables and checked that everything was to the satisfaction of the customers, each finished dish was immediately replaced in an exemplary order by the next dish to sum up an outstanding experience, food that lets you feel 5 different flavors in one bite of food in different places in the mouth, without a doubt an excellent restaurant.
