Stopped by Agostino’s Italian Restaurant in Natick and left really happy with the experience. I ordered the shrimp scampi with a caesar salad and lemonade, and they started us off with warm bread and butter (on the house), which was a nice touch. I noticed a couple of younger employees who looked like they might still be in high school, but everyone was friendly and worked well together. Our server was super nice and made us feel welcome. Even with a large group, the food came out in about 20 minutes, which I thought was pretty quick. The shrimp scampi was delicious- full of flavor without being too heavy. Between the good food, quick service, and comfortable atmosphere, I’d definitely come back.

Went to this Italian place hoping for a nice dinner, but the experience was pretty disappointing. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, and during that time, the boss/manager got into a loud argument with one of the staff members. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The staff were friendly and clearly in highschool, trying their best, but the yelling and tension from management made the whole place feel chaotic. The food was decent, but the atmosphere completely ruined it for us.

I am a long time resident of Natick, but only recently had an opportunity to try Agostino's. Unfortunately, it was horrendous, and I would encourage everyone to stay away. We read the reviews regarding bad customer service and the way they treat their employees and child customers so decided to order takeout. My son has significant allergies so I ordered a plain burger with nothing on it-Mgehan took my order. When we picked up the food and got it home, the burger was slathered with melted cheese and grilled onions/peppers. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with Ella and request requested either credit or a replacement dish. She spoke with the manager/owner, Zee who said that they could make another burger and we could come and pick it up in 20 minutes, but we would be charged the full amount even though it was their fault. I said that's not acceptable and I would be happy to return the food and they could credit me or replace it, but she said no. I told her that I would dispute the charge with AMEX and she said go right ahead. AMEX will handle this now. This is not the customer service you expect when you're paying with your heart earned cash. Wonder what they would have done if we were actually eating there and they brought the wrong food to our table? Stay away from this restaurant if you value your money and respect your dignity. Obviously, we will not be returning and will warn our friends. Update: Just wanted to give a quick update regarding my post. Zee, the owner/manager of the restaurant, called me today as he read my post online. He apologized profusely for the miscommunication and confusion regarding our order and wanted to make it right. He offered me a full credit for the meal. I swung by the restaurant today to meet with him personally and he was again apologetic. He issued me a gift card above and beyond the value of our entire meal. I encouraged him to read the reviews posted and address them for the benefit of his restaurant, customers, and staff. Wanted to let you all know that we can make a difference and appreciate all the input. Cheers!

Had an excellent tasting meal unfortunately a very unpleasant waitress and owner who threw the to go boxes at us and did not inform us that we were being charged for dinner meals as we were served a lunch menu at 2pm. If she were to notify us that at 330 the computer charges for a dinner price we would have been happy to be informed and had no issues. However the waitress and owner did not budge that they were wrong. I've worked in the service industry for years and this was beyond unprofessional.

We love the food , the wonderful staff, and the local vibe. A restaurant is a difficult business and this dedicated staff always do their best to make sure that customers enjoy their meal. Shoutout to Angela, our favorite food guide at Agostinos.

Google
A true hidden gem. If this restaurant was near shoppers world or the mall it would have been packed during my 12 noon Thursday visit. Just a few tables of customers. Upon arrival we were greeted fast and sat down pretty quickly. The waitress was very friendly and very knowledgeable re: questions that I had. The food here is cooked like they care, which is rare to find. I got lunch portion baked scallops with my choice sides, cole slaw and butternut squash. We were given ice water and a nice basket of fresh bread and butter while we waited for the food. The atmosphere was pleasant with some low not blasting country songs on and the air quality was cool and clean. The decor was pleasant. The baked scallops were delicious and a good amount for a lunch portion . The butternut squash tasted like hints of nutmeg cinnamon, reminded me of Thanksgiving, absolutely delicious and the coleslaw was fresh and delicious, not that horrible pre-made chemical tasting mush that so many restaurants serve. I will definitely be coming here on a regular basis from now on. It does not disappoint!

Google
Always a great place! I ordered on door dash tonight and had a request that was a little odd putting a sauce that did not go on a particular meal. They executed perfectly and it was amazing!! Thank you!

Google
I've lived in the area for years, but this was my first time visiting. I have been missing out!!! The service was wonderful. Our server was busy when we first arrived and the hostess made sure we had waters and fresh bread, rather than have us waiting. The whole team was very cohesive and pleasant to each other. The food was amazing. I had the steak spring rolls appetizer (fresh, moist inside, crispy outside) and the mushroom ravioli with chicken in a marsala cream. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The marsala cream sauce was the best marsala sauce I've ever tasted, and I say this as someone whose go-to is chicken marsala. I will be returning soon!

Yelp
Located in downtown Natick with plenty of street parking and near by lots. HUGE portions of great Italian food and great prices. Chicken parm is outstanding. You will never leave hungry!

Yelp
What a difference a decade makes! Went-back with my friends to dine-in. Now this place is one of my all-time favorites. Great ambience, great menu, great waitress Angela made the night perfect for us. The food is nicely-sized portions and prepared beautifully and deliciously.

Yelp
Friday night diner at Agostino's was a delight. Ate in the bar area, not in the dining room. Service was excellent, thank you Karen, despite being very busy. I kept it simple and had spaghetti with meat sauce and a small salad. Yummy Italian bread was provided as well. The portion was large and the sauce was sumptuous. A singer began his first set just as we were leaving. I will definitely return to sample other dishes. I find many Italian restaurants disappointing, not Agostino's.
google avatar

Sherry H.

Yelp
Food was bland. Chicken marsala had no marsala, it tasted like boiled chicken with mushrooms floating in butter sauce. The place looks nice and service is good but the food is lacking flavor.

Sally H.

Yelp
My friends and I had lunch there the other day I had the scallops and they they both had veal Marcella, the food was amazing and the waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was lovely. I would recommend this highly go and enjoy yourself a great meal.

Elaine M.

Yelp
Food was good as was the service. It was Mother's Day. All went well. The arancini rice balls were a favorite!

Jessica Y.

Yelp
I came in for the first time on a Sunday night for a glass of wine by myself and was basically ignored. Had to ask my server twice for another glass. Sort of felt like a sad frat party at the bar where the locals were over served and causing a scene, the bartender thought it was cool to scream that she was an asshole multiple times at the top of her lungs. Classy place. Definitely not coming back.
google avatar

Andrea J.

Yelp
I had lunch here the other day and was looking forward to my favorite Italian dish - eggplant parmesan. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The eggplant was really small, about 4 inches by 3 inches and it was as hard as a hockey puck. They gave me a HUGE amount of spaghetti as well. I won't be eating here again.
google avatar

Cookie M.

Yelp
Mussels taste so good, really love seafood, the workers are very friendly, place can get very busy & loud at times, but it's a nice restaurant.

Yelp
Great! Again! Mom likes Italian. Who would've thought!? Made reservations in advance for Mother's Day. Seated right away. Service with Juliana was impeccable, I will say. She was great! Food with delectable delight, amongst a backdrop of elegance, we eat by candlelight. All right!

Cathie Y.

Yelp
Spent the afternoon with Alex... a server and part of the owners family ... she was delightful! We were celebrating some life altering health news! We were so happy to share our news with her! The shrimp parm was the very best I ever ever had and I am a a member of the shrimp parm cult club!! Vinnie had the veal and it was, too was delish. I can't recommend Agostino's enough. Thank you for enhancing our day!! Cathie and Vinnie. "Cheers to more good life"!

Susan F.

Yelp
Very noisy dining room that felt like a banquet space. Raw (inedible) eggplant parmigiana buried under a ton of red sauce with no discernible cheese, side salads served ice cold in a plastic dish. Maybe it was just an off night or too many large parties, but there's lots of room for improvement.

Yelp
We happened to find ourselves in the area and was looking for good Italian and this spot delivered. Portions were huge and we ended up taking home leftovers enough for 2 more meals. The lemon chicken was cooked to perfection. My son had the baked stuffed shrimp and he lived it. I'm not usually a gnocchi fan, but having a taste of my daughters had me changing my mind. My.busband enjoyed his fettuccine Alfredo. Plenty of on street parking. The dining room was very pleasant and we liked sitting in a booth near the window - with the plexiglass, it felt like a private room. Our server was very sweet and very attentive. Made reservations through Resy. Was surprised by the negative reviews since our experience was quite positive.

Yelp
Local Italian restaurant. Nice to have a decent option if you don't feel like going into town. Our steaks were outstanding- better than some steak houses. Came accompanied with a gravy that was quite tasty. Crowded so would recommend reservations.

Bahman K.

Yelp
Nice Italian restaurant with great menu and variety. Really big portions that we all had to take home for our next day lunch. Very reasonable price and good service
google avatar

Kris S.

Yelp
This restaurant is pretty small, but we always manage to snag a seat. The Italian options are all solid and the fried oyster app is delish. Drinks are made consistently well and we have never had a server who wasn't pleasant and attentive. I will say that the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but this is a good option in Natick and we will continue to support this restaurant!
google avatar

Marcia T.

Yelp
I love this place. When I order their food via Grub Hub, we get the same wonderful food as we get when we go there: Generously served and delivered HOT! Our favorites: Caesar salad, Calamari Chicken Parmesan Superb! Yummers!

Yelp
Comfortable and stylish restaurant in Natick center. The restaurant had a make-over a few years ago and the results are a great success. The feeling is that you are still in Natick with an "uptown" feel. Food very good; pricing reasonable; service quite friendly and pleasant. Portions sizeable enough that you will have lunch for the next day. Took longer than was ideal to get our food but that is probably because they were very busy. Will certainly return.

Charlie L.

Yelp
We had dinner there with friends the food was excellent very large portions and fast service ,Brianna our waitress was amazing she went above and beyond her job shes Very efficient and very sweet I would highly recommend anyone looking for great local Italian food you can not go wrong and thank you Brianna

Yelp
The Italian food, namely, the chicken, Parm and the seafood platter are quite good interesting different drinks. The staff is polite and attentive, not much on the ambience side.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious Italian food & plenty of other options to delight other palates and accommodate food allergies. Scrumptious appetizers, entrees and desserts. Drinks, waitstaff and atmosphere met all hopes for our group of cousins get-together. Thanx for a unique, fun and delicious night on the town!

Yelp
I made a reservation for four people. My step mom lives in Natick and her and my dad frequented Agostino's. We had my dads 60th birthday party here 24 years ago may he rest in peace. Me and my family had huge takeout orders from here when my dad was passing. We have made this a once a year regular place for dinner for the four of us. Myself, sister, step-mom and cousin. Tonight our waitress decided we were too intoxicated to have wine. I have never been so mortified in my life. Our group ranged from 50-70 not one of us had a drop of liquor before arriving. Our waitress apparently decided we were too intoxicated to have any cocktails. We asked for the manager he came out with a very embarrassing face stating he needs to stand by his server who "thought" we were intoxicated and would not allow us to be served. Agostino's has lost repeat business. We walked out and went across the street to 7 south and had an excellent dinner and excellent craft cocktails. Maybe Agostino's should reconsider who they hire for wait staff.

Foodie G.

Yelp
This is a difficult review to write. We've been going to or ordering takeout from Agostino's for over 30 years and have recommended it to literally dozens of people. Their veal parmigiana was one of the best in the area and the service always friendly, if sometimes slow on a busy night. Sadly, since the change of ownership, this is not the same place in any positive way. Tonight will be the last time we ever decide to spend our hard earned dollars there. When I placed a substantial takeout order (Friday night at 5:05 pm) the person answering the phone was clearly annoyed to be bothered with the interruption. Long story short, here is the exact message and reply I got from the owners when I messaged them. "Love you guys and have been ordering from/dining there for 30 years. Just a suggestion: It's Saturday and I'm sure you're slammed, but when ordering takeout the front of the house might consider a thanks instead of saying "yup" and hanging up immediately after placing the order. Not a complaint, a suggestion." And their exact reply: "Ok" Clearly, the current owners could care less. Bottom line; there are many, many other places that would actually appreciate your business. I have attached a screen capture of the actual exchange.

Yelp
The food is excellent and the service is terrific.Ambiance is very comfortable. Highest recommendation.

Yelp
I went to Agostino's last night for the last time. We had tickets to a show at TCAN and had left plenty of time to eat before the show, under normal conditions. When we saw our waitress take her coat and leave, we knew we were in trouble. We ended up gulping down a few bites of our dinner and taking the rest to go. Now that a night out has become more expensive, you need to frequent restaurants with good management and reliable service. A comped drink or an apology from a manager would have gone a long way but neither were offered.

Mary C.

Yelp
We had a terrible experience last night (4/5/24). We sat down at 6:15 and got our food at 7:40. The waitress was clearly struggling and getting no help from management. She walked out shortly after she took our order. The only person who acknowledged what happened was the poor waitress that had to take over all of the other waitress's tables. I'm starting to wonder if there was even a manger working that night. On the way out I told the hostess that it was ridiculous that no one even apologized and she informed me that she wasn't the owner. We used to go here a few times a year. I'll never go back.

Yelp
I am revising my review of the eggplant parm and the food in general from 5 stars to 2 stars. The reason is that I ordered it again last Saturday and it was inedibe. I had about four or five bites that were okay and the remainder had the consistency of leather. I returned it the next day and the bar manager (?) gave me a baked haddock lunch in exchange. The haddock had buttered Ritz bread crumbs on top and was baked in the aluminum take out container. First of all, what restaurant puts Ritz crackers on fish anymore and bakes a meal in the take out container? The haddock tasted okay after I brushed the Ritz crackers off the top, but it wasn't fresh as in caught that day. The fish was two days old. Also, the roasted potatoes were uncooked and under seasoned (as in, no seasoning at all, just oil) and the butternut squash had way too much butter mixed into it. Needless to say, I will not be doing take out from here again.

Susen Y.

Yelp
The worst place to dine and drink in metrowest. THE owner stands around doing nothing, while the shortstaffed wait staff can't accommodate the customers, and leave you waiting 25 minutes just to put in a drink or appetizer. The food is mediocre at best, it's unpleasant and I'm staying away! I will never return!!!!

Yelp
I'm happy to say that after being closed for a year due to a flood Agostinos's Restaurant has reopened. We've been twice. Once for dinner and once for lunch. The food was AMAZING. Everyone's food came out hot and the sauce was delicious. There are a few new menu items we didn't check out this time. The dining room is brand new and the place is spotless. It was time for a revamp and boy is this place shining from the top to the bottom. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces and even better to have gone twice and had such great food. I attached images of our lunch. We had the eggplant sandwich and the chicken parm (of course) Glad to see these guys back open. Love supporting local Natick businesses.

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim... nice little comfortable place. Food was very good. Some pieces of veal tender, others not so much. Great service, but there were only a few people in the restaurant. Appetizer was piping hot, main course must of sat for awhile. Probably should of asked about it, but I am not a fan of microwaves pasta! Late afternoon visit, before 5PM, so you have to pay for parking, less than $1 to have plenty of time to eat. Street and municipal lot very close.

James L.

Yelp
The food is 5 stars. The only improvement I'd suggest is an upgrade on the bread. It's a little too soft white bread tasting when there is an opportunity for mind blowing Italian bread. I'd give the bread two stars.

Robert A.

Yelp
We are four senior citizens who arrived for lunch on a recent Sunday shortly after 12 noon. We were the first seated. A rather rude waitress approached the table without introduction, greeting or smile and curtly asked, Drinks? We received our beverages and ordered lunch entrees, primarily veal. The restaurant filled up and we watched all of the other tables receiving salads and entrees. No explanation was ever given why we were not receiving our salads. We finally summoned the waitress after a long wait, and she said "They're being made" and walked away. Still no salads. Finally by 1:00pm, after nearly an hour wait, the most pathetic salads were brought, a few pieces of iceberg lettuce with two cherry tomatoes, not what I would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Immediately, the entrees came. At this point, we stated that we were the first party seated for lunch and asked to see a manager. The waitress in a rude tone replied, " You can talk to me." She then walked away, leaving us in limbo. At this point, we decided to walk out. She called after us in a snotty tone " Have a nice day." I might add that two of us live in Natick and have dined here many times over the years, both with large groups of friends and smaller parties, and considered it one of our favorite restaurants. We have never before seen this young lady, and left stunned by the horrible treatment we received and would be hard-pressed to return. We were hungry and angry at this point, and ended up at Olive Garden, where we received amazing service.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Pre-pandemic this was a nice Italian spot for drinks in the late afternoon or dinner. Post-pandemic they've gotten rid of their pizzas, which were very good. Most notably is their lasagna - it used to be nicely layered with alternating courses of Ricotta, sauce & pasta. Today its 3 layers of pasta at the bottom, then an inch of Ricotta , them another 3 layers of pasta with meat sauce poured over it. Terrible. I can no longer recommend Ago's. Sorry.
google avatar

Suzanne B.

Yelp
I love Agostino's. I order from there all the time and have never been let down. The Chicken Parm is fabulous. The broud they serve is so fresh that I have to ask for extra. My son always gets the garlic bread which he truley loves. My favorite dinner there is the Sirloin steak, Mashed potatoes and the Butternut Squash. I love butternut squash and there's is fabulous. I always have it delivered as I am disabled and it always comes hot and within a decent amount of time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
great service best alfredo fettuccine i've ever had. the bathroom was one of the cleanest i've ever been in too. can tell they care about their establishment quite a bit. come here if you're craving italian :) very good
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
Went recently as a party of three. The service was excellent. Our server had a great personality and was very attentive. The lower rating is due to the food quality. The pasta was overcooked and the red sauce lacked flavor in all of our meals. We like garlic and it felt notably absent in all of our dishes. The salads were served on plastic plates which we also felt was odd for a more upscale establishment. For the pricing we expected more on the quality side.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Well, the site should say the kitchen closes early. I just wasted 5 minutes of my time on "live hold" listening to all kinds of strange things on the other end. I had yelled hello four times and I get no customer service back. After hanging up the phone, and calling back, only to tell me the kitchen is closed at 9:23. The sad part is, the food is actually decent. Now, I will not even bother wasting my time any longer. "The villa" will be our "go to" place.

Yelp
Employees were very friendly. Food was delicious. Cocktail drinks were not that good. Had 3 different ones and didnt finish any of them. Go with a beer or wine.

Carol K.

Yelp
This rating is for the service we received from Melissa, the bartender. We have been here before, we don't expect gourmet food. We came to have a drink and dinner and watch the Celtics. Sunday, 5pm, we came in and sat at the bar where there was one other couple at the bar and another at a high top in the bar area, not busy. We were ignored for several minutes and then she looked over at us and I asked a question about one of the beers on tap, she said "Well, it's an IPA" ok, yes, I know, but? She poured a taste for us, mostly foam. I ordered a different beer and my husband ordered a drink. She asked if we wanted menus and we said yes please. Another high top sat down and she brought them menus and a basket of bread. We noticed that the other parties all had bread. After we ordered our meals She took the menus and walked away. We waited a few minutes and then I asked if we could please have some bread. She didn't answer, but went and got some. Our meals came quickly, but we had not received the side salads that come with them. We mentioned it to the server (not the bartender) and he said "Are you sure you didn't get them?" WHAT? So Melissa came over and when he asked her about it and she said "You didn't say you wanted salad" and I said "The meal comes with a salad, do we need to request it?" The young man brought us our salads. Clearly Melissa didn't like us upon first sight. I don't know why, we were friendly and polite from the moment we sat down. I can venture a guess, but not going to go there. I had made a vow to not do any negative reviews during these difficult times for restaurants, but this was really uncomfortable and unpleasant. I actually made a "jokey" comment "Well, I guess she doesn't like us" and she just ignored us thoroughly. We finished and she gave us our check. We paid and left her a 20% tip because it's the right thing to do. I'm sure she thought we'd stiff her. It's one thing to have a bad day, but she was friendly and polite to all the other customers and everyone else got bread and salads. We definitely will not return.

Kevin R.

Yelp
It's insane that Agostino's doesn't have a straight-up five star review across the board from everyone. Their chicken parm is the best in the world. And I do mean the world. I've had chicken parm from hundreds of restaurants, and no one's compares. And the beet salad is also quite good. Since they reopened, the decor also has some charm. It's still a family style restaurant, so don't expect fancy fancy, but for what it is, it's the best.

Yelp
Best lunch in town. Big portions, good prices, and deli shows food. Broccoli Alfredo can't go wrong.

Vivien S.

Yelp
freezing!! I mean they can shut off their gd air conditioning now..always blasting over your head and all the food becomes cold within 5 minutes..bring your winter coat, your gonna need it! Oh and food is mediocre at best!!

Yelp
In over 15 years I've never had a bad meal. Terrific Italian food. Everyone at the table loved their food. Take out also provides hot meals just as tasty. I recommend Agostinos to anyone who want an excellent lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Not what it used to be. I loved their Parm. and had it a few times. I thought it was good but also felt it had been sliding downhill. Every time we ordered it we would get 3 orders. We always got a generous portion of bread and 3 salads. I get home and there are 2 pieces of bread with 2 small pats of butter and no salads. I called them and the woman on the phone was so rude. I said I was coming back for more bread, butter and salad that were forgotten and she said I would need to pay. I told her we got no salads and she said that is because the Parm. does not come with them. When I told her we had been ordering there for years and it ALWAYS came with salad and a generous portion of bread and butter she said "I have been working here 12 years and we have never given salad with that entree". REALLY? So now not only do I feel screwed but you just called me a liar? Nice job surly waitress. You just alienated a good and longtime customer! BRAVO! Won't be back.

Yelp
I have to say the food is great the only issue I had as of recent was since only my daughter and I ordered pickup and my wife decided not to after not checking the bag ( My fault ) but paying for the dinners when I got home the only meal in the bag was my dinner. Thankfully I only live just over 5 minutes down the road. However my meal for my 9 year old daughter was missing. I called I was give the option of a future credit, refund or for them to make the meal. I was not going to let down my daughter so it seemed like they had not made the meal but it was ready minutes after I went back. In general Other than that I've never had complaints with this restaurant as the food is fresh and hot also what I expect when I pay for a meal.

Yelp
First time trying. We were immediately seated by a young man who said he would be back with bread. He never returned. We waited 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. There were few people in the restaurant at this time. We ordered our drinks and appetizer right away as service did not seem good. The drinks came in about 10 minutes with one straw for two drinks. It took 20 minutes to flag someone down to get a second straw. The appetizer arrived about 30 minutes later. Scallops wrapped in bacon. They were delicious. We waited another 45 minutes for a server to come take our dinner order. I asked for the check. At this point there was no one else in the restaurant. The server was taken aback as I explained how long we had been waiting . She apologized and said she had just started her shift. She was pleasant and we decided to stay. She immediately took our dinner order. The salad's came out immediately along with the bread we were promised but never got. Both the Caesar Salad and garden salad with house Italian dressing were delicious. When our entrees arrived over 30 minutes later the steak tips which were ordered medium well were red inside. My guest not wanting to wait any longer chose not to send them back. They were served with green beans with a massive amount of sauce poured over them. The roasted potatoes were undercooked. The gnocchi appeared to have been a frozen variety not fresh and the tomato sauce was horribly sweet and not enjoyable to the pallet. The waitress returned to our table 30 minutes later to offer us dessert on the house due to the poor service. We declined as we just wanted to get out of there. 10 minutes later she returned with take home containers. Honestly I don't even know why we bothered to take our large amount of leftovers. The waitress returned with the bill. Despite everything I tipped her appropriately and thanked her for her service. My review of dinner at Augustinos was an EPIC failure !! I apologized to my guest as I had recommended the place having heard good things about it. We will never go back there again !!!

Yelp
I'm in the mood for Italian and this place is perfect for the chicken parm I was craving. They provide a basket with 3-4 pieces of, nice sized, bread and butter to start. The platter came out quickly and was a good portion. I ordered a side of broccoli with it and that was a good portion too. Everything good tasted right and I was very happy. I'll return here whenever I'm in the area. The staff even spotted me a quarter as I was early and parking enforcement was still in effect.
