"How did it strike you on arrival? You have to drive up a dirt road in Bevagna (a town on the way to Gubbio from Rome) to get to this agriturismo. It's effortless Italian charm at its best—a simple inn run by welcoming hosts with views for days. Nice. What’s the crowd like? This place is so far off the beaten path, you might be the only English speaker around. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Rooms are simply furnished with wooden beds, tables, armoires, and the terra cotta floors typical in Umbria, but the views are the real selling point. From up here, you can see Umbria's rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards that stretch all the way to Assisi. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word? There's free Wifi and the signal is quite good, but you're coming here to relax so turn off your phone! Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?The owner Marco is super down-to-earth and welcoming. He invited me to lunch with a big group of his family and friends, who all treated us like family. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The food here is fantastic. It's nothing fancy—just simple, rustic Italian cuisine, but it's made using the freshest ingredients and adhering to the tenets of the Slow Food movement. You could spend three hours just savoring an al fresco lunch of bruschetta, salads, and pasta by the outdoor pool. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?Where to start? The location, on a hill dotted with olive groves overlooking Umbria's valleys. The food is some of the simplest and most delicious you'll ever eat. The owner, Marco, welcomes you in like family. The most heartbreaking this is that eventually you'll have to leave. Bottom line: worth it, and why? This hotel is more than worth the money, time, and effort if what you're after is an authentic taste of Umbrian life. Just be aware that you'll need a car to get here and around the area, and you might want to brush up on your Italian." - Laura Itzkowitz

This place is absolutely amazing! You can dine with a beautiful view. Staff makes you feel like you are at home. We had cold cuts, meat and pasta and I can’t decide which one was more tasty. This restaurant deserves more then 5 stars and I definitely encourage everybody to enjoy everything that this place has to offer.

We stayed for two nights as part of a cycling holiday. Fantastic view, and with a view like that this hotel could make so much more of itself! The restaurant is lovely, and I suspect the main business. Food was very good but the one night we ate there we were the only people in the restaurant, which was a bit daunting but we did have the best table! Rooms are quite basic, for me the room was too dark. It could also have been better ventilated, felt a bit musty. Nice pool although the pool area was very cluttered. Marco the owner is friendly and helpful. Grounds could do with a tidy up, both room decor and grounds made it feel slightly neglected.

It's such a peaceful and relaxing place surrounded by the nature. I particularly enjoyed both of the swimming pool but the indoor one more. There are a lot of cute kitties around the area and really friendly. The rooms are lovely and the owner is a nice person.

My friend, his motorbike, me and my motorbike... We found ourself close to Montefalco, and we recived an advise about where to sleep: Il Poggio dei Pettirossi in Bevagna.||it' s a fantastic and quite farm holidays, which rises over the top of an hill, right beside the small, typical and nice town of Bevagna, where you can enjoy a sublime view of the valley and of all the other hills whuch surround it. The rooms are cozy and intimate, and the location itself it's simply divine! There's an open pool surrounded by olive trees, where you can even drink one of the best wines i've ever tried: sagrantino di montefalco, it's not very cheap (about 35 € each bottle, but it's something you must absolutely try!!! The restaurant it's really good, my friend and me always ate very tasty dishes. The prices are low, you can sleep there for 30 or 35 €, therefore i can say that everything is close to perfection.||It was great sin we could spend there only one night, and eventually i will absolutely advise you this farm holidays!

Fantastic panoramic view , comfortable rooms despite lack of A/C. Excellent pool and wonderful dinner menu. The staff were extemely friendly and this hotel is to be thoroughly recommended. The outside area would benefit from tidying up but the overall experience was delightful and would definitely return again.

This hotel is outside the town of Bevagna and looks out over the town. The view is great. At night you can see the lights of Foligno and Assisi as well.|A very comfortable room. We had a double bed and 2 singles. the double was seperated by a wall.|There was a pool which the children enjoyed.|The restaurant served lovely food. Breakfast was normal continental food.|The staff and owner were friendly and helpful.|We used it as a base to visit Assisi, and stayed a couple of extra days because it was so nice and relaxing and peaceful.|

Overall not a bad experience. Owners very nice, rooms were nice. However, for hotels on high ground in Italy the norm seems to be that there is no ac. On most nights this is not a problem, but occasionally can be difficult to beat the heat. Swimming Pool was nice, but Jacuzzi and sauna beneath the swimming pool looks like it could stand a cleaning. Beautiful view of the valley below and the town of Bevagna. However, to get to the town of Bevagna you either need to call a cab or walk the mile or so down the hill. This is not too bad on the way down, but coming back at night can be a bit problematic. Breakfast was ok. I would possibly stay here again, but I would look a little closer at some of the other options in the old town of Bevagna.
