Son Viscos, Valldemossa, Mallorca - Explore & Book

"On an island awash with pomp, Son Viscos is refreshingly honest, but no less chic for it. Just a 5-minute jasmine-scented drive from the terracotta hues of Valldemossa, and bang in the middle of the dramatic Tramuntana mountains, the house (a former 18th-century inn) sits above idyllic grass terraces cleaved from the valley. Take a cold beer to the sunloungers and refresh with a paddle in the ancient water channels or outdoor showers. It won’t be long before the views entice you to explore the mountains and surrounding villages. Up at the house, the honeyed façade is unassuming but the gnarled wooden doors conceal an ode to great design and impeccable hospitality. Six bedrooms capture a near monastic serenity, then bright prints and woven rugs lift the reclaimed wooden furniture with a simplicity that is both elegant and cosy. On departure, a fellow guest reveals he had already booked in for the end of the year, at the same time as another arrives on a return visit. It must be something in the water, because after a paddle in the stream tumbling down the terraces, we vow to return, too. Highs A wonderful spot for enjoying the Tramuntana mountains, with awesome views and enchanting gardens Spacious and beautifully furnished rooms; not your typical B&B and well priced for what you get A veritable feast at breakfast and numerous pretty spots to enjoy it in Friendly managers Michael and Isabel make a stay supremely relaxing Great hiking and biking nearby, and easy day trips to Soller, Deia and Palma Lows Valldemossa's restaurants are a drive away (or a 10-15 minute walk, which you probably won't fancy in the dark) No kids under 12; this is a romantic retreat The house is sandwiched in-between 2 roads and you need to cross over one to reach the gardens The small freshwater pool is quite deep and chilly - think dips rather than lengths Some sound travels through floors between rooms" - Lyndon Ashmore

A Review of Son Viscos Agroturisme in Mallorca

"A pop-up restaurant operating on the property and led by chef Gonzalo Retenaga Santamaria, this seasonal dining concept focuses on local products and produce-driven menus — guests can book weekend brunches or private lunches and dinners that showcase the island’s ingredients, including fresh‑caught seafood paellas and other market-driven, seasonal preparations."

Everything here was amazing. We booked for 1 night, our first night in Mallorca and wished we could stay longer. The pool was ice-cold in the morning (it is November) but we jumped in while enjoying the sunrise and felt great afterwards. The outside area is amazing, little private sitting areas everywhere, I can image how beautiful this would be in summer. The breakfast was 10/10, so fresh and a lot of choices, even avocados. The rooms are clean and we loved the design, it looked very new. Highly recommended place!

The hotel is stuck literally between a highway and an old road, both of them with a lot of traffic. As a result the rooms are quite noisy and the views from the lower ground rooms are quite literally the road. The breakfast was good, but unfortunately completely plagued with wasps and was very difficult (if not impossible) to serve the food from the buffet. The garden is nice and the views from the swimming pool are great, but the pool could be cleaner as it is basically a water well used to water the garden with natural water not treated. Service was very helpful. Overall we feel the bed & breakfast is extremely overpriced for the quality and the service received and there are much better alternatives in the area at more reasonable prices.

To be honest, I was disappointed with the accommodation, especially considering the high price. The rooms are beautifully furnished, and the breakfast was truly excellent. However, the location of the property is a major problem. The house is situated directly on an extremely busy road, making it very noisy all the time — even when you’re sitting in the garden for breakfast. It really feels as if you were sitting right next to a motorway😢😢😢. So, as nice as the interior is, the value for money is simply not there, because the location right on the road is an absolute disaster. Unfortunately.

It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home! One of my favorite stays so far. From the service to the rooms and the overall atmosphere, everything felt warm and welcoming. But the most important part was the amazing kitchen it made the place feel so special, charming and authentic. The garden and pool are just as lovely :) it’s just 4 min away from Valldemossa. After all, I highly recommend this place!

Great place, better than expected. Somehow they don’t really talk about the pool on their website but it is one of the most charming and fun parts of the stay, just a natural beautiful environment with chickens and goats doing their thing and a great pool for a quick break in the afternoon. Location is great as Valldemossa is the best of the mountain towns to stay in. Walking to town is a bit of a trek as it is a decent amount of uphill for 15 to 20 minutes, but parking is pretty easy to come by so we just drove. The rooms were great and pretty comfortable. A/C was okay but about what you would expect for the location and type of place. You can’t have authentic spanish charm and great A/C.

What a gorgeous, picturesque converted farmhouse B&B. Pros: - service was friendly - the communal areas are absolutely beautiful - everything looked editorial - breakfast spread was insane - just ~20 min walk to city center - beautiful room with high quality linens Cons: - the reason for 1 star knockoff was the functionality of the room. we were in the bottom floor and there was very little light. bathroom also constantly flooded which made showering un-enjoyable. there weren't places to hang a hand towel either - forget the name of the room but we were bottom floor on the right when facing the entrance. the bathroom was designed in a way where the shower was enclosed with the toilet (aside from a little wall)but given that the area easily flooded when showering, it felt a bit unsanitary. we ended up showering with a small drip versus the full rainshower. if we were to redo, would prefer staying on the top floor with more light and the rooms in pics also look much bigger. otherwise very quaint stay.

Absolutely LOVED this place. The rooms are gorgeous and extremely comfortable but the grounds and communal spaces are something extremely special and the pool is heaven. I can’t recommend it enough. Located outside Valdemossa, it’s a 4 min drive or a very pretty 20 min walk into town and it’s a great base for exploring Mallorca or relaxing.

My husband and I really loved this boutique stay. It’s a slice of heaven in Mallorca! The kind people who run the show, The gardens and pool, the breakfast, the design, all of it! It’s a very slow paced environment, a close drive from Valldemossa and Deia. Perfect if you want peace and tranquility, and appreciate design! We much preferred staying here over Soller!
