AHW Studio Strand Arcade

Ordered a basic ring that's been listed as their 'bestseller' on the site for years running. Neither of the 2 stores that I visited had their bestseller to see or try on. They don't really sell or promote it anymore. Weird. Anyway, I order it because they do good work. My ring came in with defects all over. 1. Wrong specs. I requested no resin because it looks better. They encased my ring in resin anyway. 2. Resin's top surface was not level whatsoever and protruded/pooled significantly to one side. Did not look not good at all... 3. Resin may have affected the final ring size because it protruded so much on the underside. Ultimately it made this horrible squeaking noise and feeling while putting it on. 4. Resin had a significant crater on the top surface. A genuine crater, not a bubble, a crater. ??????? 5. 925 SS stamp was SO close to the edge of the band that it had significantly deformed the ring. It was no longer round. The 'ring' became a 'rong'. It had a sharp bump on the outside and a cavity where the punch for the stamp was hammered on the inside. What?? Why damage your own ring and send it out? 6. 1mm Gash/cut in the ring. This isn't as big as a deal but why on earth would a brand new ring that hadn't even be worn have a 1mm deep gash in it. Under no circumstances should this many things pass QC at any capacity for a professional business that prides itself in handmade craft. To top it all off, I'm 90% sure they fed my refund request email through AI to generate a response. 5 em dashes (—), 7 oxford commas and surgically strung sentences. I've checked dozens of reviews and writing samples by Aaron and none of it resembles the writing in his email to me. Don't use AI to generate an email for a refund that ended up costing me shipping fees out of pocket. So I LOST money for their poor QC. Thanks.

Wow wow wow… extremely impressive business and the craftsmanship of their products are incredible. Had an amazing experience at the Strand Arcade store, and will definitely be keeping an eye out for more things from them. I purchased online and did a pickup and they were very fast in turning around my order.

I enter the shop seeing some lovely and unexpected jewellery on display (like steampunk/gear stuff) and I discover an amazing jeweler with a lot of creativity. I order a ring after selecting an opal in the shop and Aaron in one week completed the project, design included! What an amazing ring!! Thanks a lot Aaron I love it!!

If you want to create something truly unique and special - Angus is your man! He is genuinely passionate about his craft, and is excited to pursue your personal jewelry ideas. It made me feel like I was in one of those video games where you get special equip items just for you! Angus helped me design my wedding ring, gave me a fair price, and forged away. I am super happy with the result. Recently, I actually had a small issue with the ring and Angus helped fix it up straight away under warranty and even upgraded it. Just like those video games when your special equip item gets a power-up. Anyway, great guy. Great shop. Great rings. Good times. Strongly recommend.

I purchased a few rings and a pendant from them already and I love them! The recent ones I bought are the BYZANTINE bracelet and Topaz pendant called IMBALANCE. They are meticulously and unique crafted! I love the disorderness of this pendant's design but the elements come well together. I ordered online and the delivery is prompt, it only took 2 days.

This is a wonderful family owned jewellery store with beautiful and unique pieces. I came in with my fiancee to choose an engagement ring together. Angus was knowledgeable, friendly, and so passionate about his craft. He helped us choose a design that we both love, and could not have been more accommodating when it came to personalisation, engraving, and customer service generally, even taking time out of his day to explain all about different gems, cuts, and designs. This was a very special purchase and the excellent experience we had at AHW was a massive part of that. Not only is the ring just perfect, but we now have our jeweller for life, and we are already looking forward to coming back again for the next special occasion. If you are looking for a highly personalised experience and fine jewellery which has personality and flair, I cannot recommend AHW enough!
