Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat

This place never disappoints!! Didn't think it could get any better but to my surprise they added more items for the premium ayce option (January 2025). Going premium is definitely worth it! The selections are fresh, and the sushi is super melt in your mouth buttery. The uni is soft and velvety with a fried crunchy topper that makes it a perfect bite. Salmon roe (ikura) sushi was very flavorful with a pleasing texture as you chew. The soft shell crabs are wonderful. The regular ayce menu has a lot of choices as well. Plenty of sushi options, poke sashimi, appetizers, salads, udon soup, and if you're into rolls, there's a ton to choose from, including some smaller rice free/low carb rolls. The spicy tuna crispy rice has to be one of my favorite appetizers here, as well as the jalapeño shrimp - the sauce is lovely, not overly spicy. The crispy squid legs and classic tempura are great too. There are a lot of appetizer options. If you enjoy cooked fish do yourself a favor and order yellowtail or salmon Kama (collar), you will not regret it (there is a limited supply, so if this is your jam, come early. It's always perfectly cooked served with lemon wedges and a tangy savory dipping sauce. I really love that you can request hand rolls for the traditional maki rolls!! Perfect if you crave a traditional roll, but don't want to overstuff yourself with too much rice. The jalapeño yellowtail sushi is always one of my favorites, tuna is always a winner and if you've never tried surf clams here they are very tender, slightly sweet with an addicting pop of wasabi flavor. The octopus sushi has that nice slightly chewy texture and isn't rubbery in texture. The salads are great to get in some greens, the sashimi salad is my favorite, the dressing is savory. Cucumber salad is also nice. The service is always excellent here, the staff is very friendly and attentive. You will never be waiting long for service, they will come and inform you if there is a delay in bringing out your order when they get busy and they're always checking to see if you'd like drink refills, clearing plates right away as you eat to your hearts content, and they do not hesitate to bring extra ginger & wasabi if you request it. Highly recommend. One thing to note is if you come on a weekend or holiday, it's dinner prices all day. If you want to try it out for the first time, if you are able to, come during the week at lunch for a lower ayce price. Also note, if you want all you can eat, everyone in your party has to be on board. This place gets really busy, recommend arriving early to avoid a long wait.

Good place to visit when you're craving AYCE sushi in the LBC. Good selection of fish and non fish cooked items. It's a good deal. We come here often when craving sushi and not wanting to spend too much at our favorite local place. Friendly staff in a 50's oddly shaped building.

The crispy squid legs were great. The bento combo dinner s-v tempura spicy chicken was very good. The ultimate salmon roll was delicious. The HH Hot Sake drink was ok. The pineapple was juice was good. I really enjoyed the food here. I appreciate the service here 🙏.

We were seated right away and I really liked how they allowed one of us to do Premium ayce and the other person to do regular ayce, it helped a lot with the flexibility in choosing both of dining experiences but sharing them together. Service was attentive and fast, we waited no more than 10 minutes after putting in our order for another round of food. The nigiri was fantastic, wasabi dots, ponzu and yuzu sauce that goes with the cuts of fish add a lot more to it. Also if you go during lunch time (up to 3pm) the prices are fairly good. Overall would highly recommend, I do wish some of the nigiri didn’t come with the specific sauce, and that the fish could be enjoyed simply without anything added on, still really great quality cuts. Normally I don’t like seared black pepper nigiri but here I loved it, the snow crab was also amazing. You also get a free large vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup if you leave a yelp review, pretty cool. Highly recommend if you love ayce sushi.

Omg! Visiting from Boise, ID we do not have anything similar to what this place offers. I love the fact that you get 4 pieces instead of 8. You get to try more variety of rolls!!! Everything was a flavor explosion 💥

The food was great, our waitress was really nice and helpful when it came to our choices of sushi and the music playing was decent. For an all you can eat sushi place, it was pretty good. My husband had been wanting to check this place out for a while since it had undergone new owners or management. Glad we finally made the time to come. The only thing I was bummed about was that they don't have Thai iced tea. All the sushi places I've ever been to have had it, and it's my favorite drink. But besides that, we will definitely come again

The tables had a sticky coating as if they don't clean them well. The plates didn't seem well cleaned. They almost looked like they were superficially washed and rinsed. The egg in the udon states like it had been in the refrigerator for some time and it absorbed the fridge smells it tasted disgusting nasty. The sushi taste was ok. Overall all quality was also ok. For me it's on a below neutral list. Not on my top list or upper part of my to go sushi places.

Celebrated my son’s birthday at Aikan AYCE Sushi today. We enjoyed all the wonderful dishes we ordered. Noel our server was patient and checked on us frequently.

This was my second time here in YEARS, I forgot how amazing Aikan was. We got here at 7ish, were told the wait for 2 was going to be at least 30-50 minutes, and asked if we would like to wait. (Also patiently waited as we made up our minds. To the host that greeted us, thank you for being so kind and patient! The atmosphere is very clean, and staff is very observant and attentive. The music they played reminded me of early 2000's, when raves were PLUR haha. I wanted to take a moment and rave about Amber, she was so freaking nice and pretty. The best service I've had in a long time. Every time our dishes were empty, she came and got it off our table immediately. She took her time and explained the menu again for me, which bless you The food also, the food was spectacular. Fish were fresh, and portions were perfect!

Been all around the world and this is by far my favorite sushi place, even better than my experience in Japan itself. Excellent food, and excellent service at an excellent price! The broiled mussells are a must-have. Ask for Brian, he'll make sure that you have a wonderful dining experience!

Food is actually rly good! I love how extensive the menu is and their happy hour deals. Service was great. We our server checked on us often. :) The music volume is just right too. Ambiance is nice for something casual. Would def come back.

Review for take-out order. Food: Overall sushi seems on the skinny/small side for a $15 roll for take-out. I understand making it smaller for all you can eat but seems a bit not worth it. I placed an order for myself and a co-worker. My roll was made incorrectly. I asked for non-spicy crab due to an allergy. I called to let staff know so they can at least be aware for next time. Staff: Woman who rang me up was friendly. :)

Presentation was A+! But the food was so rice was hard and a lot of it was undercooked. The staff was also super nice. So that's what the bonus stars are for.

During our first visit, the sushi rice-to-filling ratio appeared higher than at our Pasadena location. The food quality was acceptable, although the beef teriyaki was excessively overcooked and was asked to take it back. The sashimi and no rice rolls were fresh and good quality. Adult pricing was $42.99 (regular) / $54.99 (premium), with children (ages 3-7) priced at $18.99. We chose the regular option due to the premium menu's only limit for 1st round only which is not fair for the premium price. The children's pricing seemed excessive given their limited choices of consumption and dietary restrictions for raw foods. Finally, an 18% gratuity was added for parties exceeding six, including children. We might stick with our Pasadena location due to the location is closer and sushis have less rice.

The fish was very good for the price and I would come back again with a group because ayce sushi solo is difficult lol They will charge for extra rice here $41 for lunch before tax and tip if premium menu =============== Yummy Yellowtail sashimi - crunch of fried garlic was good Salmon - delicious, melted in my mouth Octopus with the sauce Bellies WOW Salmon - very melt in mouth Miso soup was def not powder Sashimi poke dishes are bomb Soft shell crab didn't have too much batter Good, but wouldn't get again Pepper albacore sashimi - sauce on top was kinda strong/overly spicy, good with onions Agedashi tofu - don't get the flakes in your back of your throat lol I missed the outer gooey/light texture from the outside lotus root was deep fried, but chewy - this came with the premium stuff They have some riceless rolls, but only a handful. The place kinda echoes.. a baby was crying and the sound echoed throughout lmao Service is super efficient for lunch, but parking certainly sucks for dinner because the lot is small

Back for more! Still holding strong as my favorite all-you-can-eat sushi spot. I'm always bringing friends here and the tradition continues...another friend will be a repeat customer. Yay!!! Parking was the only challenge this Saturday night. Otherwise, wonderful service by our waiter, Brian, and the rest of the staff. Quality fish and presentation great as usual.

I came two separate times; alone and with two friends. I truly enjoyed the ayce here! When I first went alone, I opted for regular lunch menu, while with my two friends we went for the premium dinner menu! The service was amazing, multiple servers came to check on my table and see how I was doing. The food was delicious, appetizers were delicious, and presentation of the dishes was beautiful. The atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy, very enjoyable to dine in. The premium menu has its flaws, only one item per person then charge per piece after that. Not sure if it's like this for all ayce, but I wished it was more lenient. Other than that, this is a great place to satisfy your ayce craving.

My best friend told me about this all you can eat sushi spot and I wanted to try it. She told me they had all my favorite rolls and they didn't disappoint! We got so stuffed we had to take a walk afterwards. This is a great option to try every roll without over paying. They were all delish!

Food was great. Taste is fresh. Had the Angrytail roll, Mojave roll and fried scallops. All were so good. Service was great, definitely recommend

This was hands down the best AYCE sushi spot I have ever been to, especially in terms of quality. Everything tasted super fresh, the textures and flavors were spot on. Almost all the maki are fair game for the AYCE option, and they had lots of appetizer options available as well. If you're into the creative fusion maki, this spot has it all and then somehow even more -- so much of it looked so good! While pricey, you can definitely walk away feeling like you got your money's worth (assuming you come in with a healthy appetite). Ambiance was definitely unique, they somehow made the old 50's style diner building into a modern, chill aesthetic. It works. Service was quick but they did mess up our rolls for one of the rounds (no hate, there was a party of 8 who came in while we were there, so I'm sure the servers and chefs were just like yikes). Coming in during the week for lunch (we did a Monday) was great. I gotta imagine how packed this place can get during primetime, but the wait is totally warranted. We will definitely be back.

First time having AYCE at Aikan and we loved it! Came to celebrate a coworker's going-away lunch and were served by Jessica. She was awesome, kind & patient and was honest about her recommendations. Sushi was top-notch -- high quality fish, good fish-to-rice ratio, and a huge selection of apps. Will be back!

I was craving sushi and decided to check out this local all-you-can-eat spot. The best part? You can choose between the all-you-can-eat option or ordering à la carte, which is great for flexibility. The sushi rolls on the all-you-can-eat menu are slightly smaller, but I think that's a plus--it allows you to try more variations without getting too full too quickly. Every roll I tried was amazing! There's also a great variety of hot options, including udon, so there's something for everyone. With such an extensive menu, it would take multiple visits to explore everything. The service was attentive throughout our meal. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, but it was absolutely worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Food is mediocre at best. all the fish was really warm. Not sure how they got all these stars. Went here because of the high rating. Dont think it deserves that high of a rating. Service was good. Nice ambiance.

This is our go-to for AYCE Sushi in the Long Beach! We like the menu's quality and choice as well as the overall vibe. Get the grapefruit Soju and go crazy on the poke sashimi

Located in a strip mall Alan fulfills any sushi cravings Came here after a long day at the beach and we were very hungry but also wanted sushi. Aikan was the perfect spot. The fish was good quality and the service was very good. I did not have any issues waiting to give my order or get my food. I would have given 5 stars but I did have to send a dish back because the salmon was still frozen and I must say the sushi chefs are not the most skilled with raw fish. The nigiri was not always cut properly and the rice was a little mushy. For an ayce sushi place I will definitely go back if I was very hungry but there are better options for a la carte. Overall great spot for ayce sushi.

Bf and I accidentally drove to this Aikan location instead of the one in Artesia, but still decided to give it a shot since it's practically the same restaurant in a different area, right? Kind of- Their fish quality here is similar to the one in Artesia! The salmon was tasty, though not as memorable as the yellowtail!! Yellowtail was DELICIOUS! Wouldn't recommend the salmon skin roll tbh bc they 1. fill it with too much rice and 2. overload the bonito (so all u pretty much taste is bonito flakes) we left that aside and just sat in fear they would charge us for leftovers. (but it didnt taste good so?) Speaking of the delicious yellowtail- Our first round was missing a lot from the order- like 11 pieces of yellowtail, 1 tuna, 1 eel (we DEFINITELY wrote 2), and other things here and there- We waited 20-25 min for the yellowtail... You would think after they double check the order with you, they would bring everything out right the first time. On another note, their rice portion is ridiculous? I remember getting full off of the first round and I only ordered around 9 pieces of nigiri? It's all you can eat for $42.99!!! Personally, it feels like a scam when they do that *AND* remind you they will be charging for leftovers. Cut the rice in half, and it would be perfect for the nigiri. I want to taste fish- not rice. Service was nice though, the waiter helping us refilled my soda 3x before i had enough sugar and cut myself off. This location is also smaller than the one in Artesia- a bit uncomfy looking up at the little lights they had above the booths covered in dust.. Overall, not the worst experience- Mainly because our server was so attentive and nice about everything. There was a short asian man with tattoos that seemed to look over our table a lot because of "leftovers" and it really just left an uncomfortable feeling- but will be going to Artesia like normally.

Service was great. Our server was friendly and the food came out quick. Food: Bento box - chicken teriyaki and California roll. Came with miso soup, salad, two gyozas. I love that the chicken was diced and pieces were easy to eat. Miso soup and salad were tasty. The gyozas were not good. They were crispy on the outside but the inside just tasted funny. Sashimi bowl was a huge bowl of white rice with sea weed salad and assorted fish. Hubby said it was good. Salmon nigiri - be aware that it has a sauce soaked in it between the fish and the rice bed. Karage chicken - this was really good. Nice and crispy, chicken was tender. Dipping sauce was good. Anabolic roll - rice paper wrap, crab, spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber - this was delicious Green tea is served very hot and it was soothing and pleasant to drink. Noisy Restaurant: the building itself is terrible. The acoustics in this place are awful. The shape of the interior amplifies every crash, scrape, clash, clang in the restaurant. When they're scooting tables together for bigger parties, the sound echoes inside the entire restaurant. Clearing tables and crashing dishes - as loud as if they're doing it at your table. You cannot hear well, you cannot converse with your party, they try to turn the music up and then it just sounds like crashing and banging and a muted song in the background. The noise is overwhelming. If you are easily overwhelmed by noise this is not the place for you. Parking (not their fault so don't hold this against them, just making a note) : parking is limited - it's in an odd center on the corner in sort of a triangle shape with parking spots that are so small you cannot park easily with anything larger than a full sized sedan. The cars are all very close together.

Came for their all you can eat sushi. 3 rounds with a time limit. Service was great. Sushi tasted fresh! The price was fair. It was big an spacious inside, had a few TV's as well. I'd definitely come here again!

I really like Aikan Sushi. The All You Can Eat menu is great, you can also get $1 Sapporo with Yelp Check in right now. We came in at 6pm on a Friday so we expected to have to wait awhile, however the bar was open so we were able to sit right away. The staff all works together here, so you never have to wait for anything. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is nice and open and clean. We enjoyed every item we ordered, Mr. R ordered quite a bit of sashimi. The Jalapeño Shrimp and Gyoza were great from the shareable menu. I would like to try the Happy Hour menu some time so I don't feel like I'm trying to eat all the things. Overall I think the AYCE is a good value.

This is our fourth time at Aikan, so I can say confidently that this place is AWESOME! AYCE sushi for the win. The baked Alaska roll is my favorite. Or the seared yellowtail. The service is always fast. The place is clean. Zion was our server this time, and he was great!

Long overdue review! This was my first time visiting this location. Lucky for us, we got seated immediately when we arrived. The ordering system is like any other AYCE sushi spot. You fill out the paper menu and give it to the waiter. Our waiter was friendly and was quick to take our order. Not only that, but our food came out quickly. The nigiri were very fresh and it was a crowd pleaser. Don't skip out on the appetizers! I know it'll get you full but we couldn't resist ordering since we wanted to try everything. We didn't order too many rolls since mostly wanted the nigiri. The rolls that we got were tasty and everyone loved it. I honestly recommend this place!

We went in at 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon and asked for seating for two. It was fairly busy, but there was not too many people in there was a wait. Jacob was the server who helped us and he was very friendly and helpful. We focused on the premium menu except for the garage and then we started in on the other sushi items and shareable items. We have moved to Arizona and we were very picky about which sushi place we wanted to try in the area while staying in Seal Beach. Aikan Sushi did not disappoint. The sushi is delicious. The price point is very good and we enjoyed ourselves immensely you can see the pictures of the food that we ordered. There's not one that I would not order again.

Went here on Saturday evening, about a little over an hour before closing. There wasn't a wait and we got seated right away. The restaurant is very roomy and clean. We did the premium all you can eat menu, mostly because we wanted to try the toro. With the premium menu, you can only order 1 per person for the first round. After the first round, it cost extra. I think next time we will skip on the premium menu. The toro was really yummy, but there are a lot of other things on the menu. Also, they did not have anymore uni, which was on the premium menu. I think what really disappointed us was that we ordered the short ribs over rice from the premium menu, and it never came out. A lot of items we ordered that would be made in the kitchen were skipped. The sushi came out fast and was yummy. But since we didn't get all the food we ordered (it was probably skipped because it was closing in an hour), I don't think our experience was worth $47 / per person.

Food has the same great quality that I've had before. Portions are smaller, but I think for the better. The first round my group and I were a little disappointed until we ordered like crazy the second round. And it made up for small portions. Service was great and the food came out super quick. The ambiance is always chill and comfortable.

Finally found an ayce sushi place in our neighborhood! We arrived for dinner on a holiday evening and had about a 10 minute wait. Seated comfortably at a booth, restaurant layout feels almost like a diner and bar, tvs with sports on, pop music in the background. Easy parking lot. We appreciate the expansive menu and options to choose from 1 to 8 pieces in order to try a greater variety. Loved all the items we ordered from the shared section, best shrimp tempura I've had in a long time! Sushi was all very fresh. Will return for items we haven't tried including the udon and combo boxes. Great service from server Brian!

Have always loved this place but this last time was better than ever. Every single thing I ordered was top notch. The service was excellent. Nick was the best !! Price is good too for AYCE.

4th trip to Aikan Sushi this year. In the beginning it was 5 star! However on each trip afterwards experienced a slight decline. This past visit they served beef teriyaki that was so chewy it couldn't be eaten. The sashimi cuts were very inconsistent. The fish ( salmon in particular) very "fishy" and not fresh. Service is good, but something is going on with the food? Losing good chefs? Buying cheaper products? Don't know. Guess I could include Ambiance. None! Just a giant noisy room. Anyway, won't need to come back anytime soon. Too many great Sushi places closer to home.

Okayyyyyy Happy Hour (3p-5p), come through on a Wednesday! The sushi here ranges from $2-$9 depending on how many pieces and if it's an exotic roll or not. That's a true steal, because during non-happy hour times just simply add $10 aka between $12-$19 a roll. 6 rolls and an edamame appetizer was only $45!!!! I love how the team of servers and runners work together to make sure that every table and seat is accommodated; meaning no one server has a table. It's a cozy, but spacious location near a car wash and a Subway--yet parking for happy hour was not a problem. There's a variety of indoor a sushi bar seating. Yelppie Tips: - Definitely look at the Pink Menu first before ordering - $2 beer options

it was my first time here and I loved the sushi! I came during happy hour because my friend told me it was really good! I'm a huge sushi person so Ill definitely be coming back! The server Zion , accommodated to our seating and he offered the menu with pictures , I'm a visual person so I have to know how my food looks lol and he was very attentive, his service was really good honestly! He offered great sushi options and the environment was very clean and The vibes were great! & he even recommended Hot Sake, first timer and it was good ! The food representation was good as well ! If you get Zion as your server , he's a great choice !

AiKan Sushi in Long Beach is a fantastic all-you-can-eat spot with fresh, delicious sushi and a great atmosphere. Yellowtail and surf clam was amazing! Honestly i am not a surf clam type of gal because most spots are very dry and crusty. But this spot they were huge and juicy. Tender. My boyfriend loves it. Definitely be coming back. Didnt get to try the premium yet but definitely will next time. Cute hip spot.

Ive dropped off here before and heard it was a good place for sushi. My girlfriend and I got around to trying it out and because she likes to get speciality rolls, the deal of "all you can eat" worked out in her favor mathematically. I kept things simple and enjoyed the veggie tempura, avocado and salmon rolls. They have a good deal, so if you are hungry, this spot is perfect. The rolls are great and the tempora was perfect. The help was great too and they helped my girlfriend figure out the situation with writing out her choices.

Came here with my friends after Sake2Me had closed down their waitlist, but honestly I don't regret it one bit. We had a great time here with their service and quality of fish! The AYCE Sushi price here is $42.99 for the regular menu options. I honestly think that's enough choices for that price. Food takes a bit to come out and comes out sporadically. The quality of the fish was enough to make it worth it. We gobbled up every round so quick! I have to come back here whenever I'm craving good sushi in LB.
