Had a short visit to Amiens from the UK, and as France is known for its great food and wine, we thought we would find someone highly recommended to eat. I was shocked that a Michelin star restaurant had spaces for lunch the next day and for such a great price. All food was delicious, as were the paired wines. Staff were very efficient and friendly. I highly recommend.

Easily the best restaurant in Amiens. Friendly staff with open kitchen. The food quality is exceptional with unique flavors and textures. This level of cooking is what I expect of a 1 michelin star restaurant so to find this quality at a reasonable price is a treat. The highlight is the dessert called “retour de cueillette”, the textures and taste makes it easily the best dessert I’ve had all year. Bravo.

Hello reader. We ate lunch at Ail des Ours. This restaurant offer only 2 menus each day, one fish and one meat. We tried both. The appetiser of scallops and salmon pate were really good. For the main dish, there was duck breast with mash potatoes and greens and fish with some kind of vegetables mousse. Both really nicely done and delicious. For dessert there was onions ice-cream and vanilla ice cream with beer, both really nice. All the dishes were excellent and prepared with fresh seasonal vegetables. They even gave us a gift appetiser, which was nice. The only mistake was taking the ice tea, which I do not recommend. The service was very nice also. The price for the menu was 30€ per person. Try it for yourself.

This is a nice restaurant and the food was excellent. The chef is creative and each course was well-presented and delicious. Unfortunately, the waiter was so loud and obnoxious, asking us (LOUDLY) at each course how happy we we were with it, that he made the dining experience much less enjoyable than it should have been. He seemed so pleased with himself and his ability to speak English that it appeared to be an act, one that made us and those around us uncomfortable whenever he came to the table. The other wait staff were soft-spoken and seemed fine; our waiter should find another job.

Excellent food but poor wine flight pairing - "wine" with dessert was not actually a wine but more importantly it was a complete mis-match with the food. Staff did not seem to care that we did not drink it and said it was a poor match. Go for the food - select your own wine!
