"If the primary reason you hate clubs is the likelihood of spending a prolonged period in someone’s armpit, then move along. Ain’t Nothin But The Blues is a slip of a space in Soho that tends to be packed full of people who sincerely love B.B. King and you’ll likely be within sniffing distance of several strangers. Still, it’s so worth it for a night of live jazz where you can either fight for a seat by the stage or crack out your best pseudo saxophone solo after midnight most nights of the week." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager, heidi lauth beasley

"This might come as a surprise, but Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues is in fact, a blues bar. Just off of Oxford Circus, this beloved little spot is always crowded, always loud, and always a damn good time. Every single night they have live music and if you get here early enough you’ll be able to grab one of the best seats in the house, directly in front of the stage. Expect sticky floors, strong rum and cokes, and a whole lot of elbow-to-elbow dancing come late." - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver

"Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues is a seriously fun bar just off of Carnaby Street in Soho. Granted, it’s a pretty small space that tends to become very crowded as all of the other local bars and clubs empty out on weekdays, but there’s nowhere else like it in London. Every night there’s a live band singing blues classics, couples perched on the tables in front of the stage with double rum and cokes in hand, and a group of businessmen that accidentally wandered in and are having the most fun they’ve had since their third kid came along. If you happen to find yourself here at midnight on a Wednesday night and it’s entirely packed, then head outside to the smoker’s area to watch the live band projected on their neighbour’s wall. Whether you end up sat in front of the stage, dancing at the bar, or chatting in the smoker’s area, you’re pretty much guaranteed a good night." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

Love this blues bar. The setting was absolutely perfect and the musicians very very good. It was nice having the harmonica player as a guest this night. His eye movements were funny and his rhythm spectacular.

I'm too damn busy listening to the band on stage, so let the AI write my review this time: "Step into the bar, and you’re instantly wrapped in a warm, cozy embrace. The staff here are always smiling, like they’re in on a secret that’s about to make your night. The atmosphere is pure magic, with soft, amber lighting setting the perfect mood. And the music? It’s not just played, it’s felt. Every note of the blues here tells a story that makes your foot tap and your heart hum. The performances are so captivating you can’t help but lose yourself in them."

Small venue with big sounds. All the musicians were amazing, true professionals and played exceptionally well. We turned up for the open mic on Sunday afternoon. Fantastic afternoon, if you enjoy blues, I would highly recommend here. To be honest, if you appreciate talented musicians no matter what the genre is, this is still the place to come.

Ohhhhh yeahhhhh if you are visiting London this is one of the last landmark traditional England boozers still running in the westend. Come the evening.... The Blues is still played here and if you've got enough Dutch courage down ya, you will be up and having a boogie between the tables and chairs. We've lost so many of these boozers in London, so go while you still can....

We enjoyed this place. It was really busy on a Monday night. Service was okay. We enjoyed the music. I would recommend this place.

I went to a jam night there on Tuesday and it was brilliant! Incredibly talented people went on stage to perform and it was a perfect place to have a boogie.

We went for the live music. Due to the crowd, we had to wait in line outside for a while to get in. The entry fee per person is £8, and this is just for entrance. The selection of beers was sufficient. The music was very good.

Had a good time here, great service and venue! However the band that was performing on October 3rd, while they were good, the pianist/singer was incredibly rude and racist. I’m actually surprised that such a great bar with fantastic bar men / women would host a band like this. I really hope they don’t play there again
