Our most expensive meal in Athens in this somewhat bizarre place...an Island In The City, they said. We love sampling local oysters from around the world, so an Oyster Bar/Restaurant, according to Google, seemed ideal to us. First, finding this place requires U trust Google Maps it was not intuitive, and when we did find it at the end of a dark Alley, nobody but the servers were there at 8PM. We showed them our phone and asked if this was it, which we all laughed and any table was ours. The place is beautiful, and within 15 minutes, 20+ people were seated, so we were in the right place.
Oysters on the half shell 6 euros each & not from Greece but Spain. Super yummy, but six was enough for us to sample. Grilled Octopus 18Euro & Santorini salad 16E, so with a bottle of wine, we shot past the 100Euro mark easily for a very delicious dinner. We were first to arrive and almost last to leave 2+ hours later. We had a blast, and this was a great way to spend a night out in Athens.
