Air France Is Getting Rid of Free In-Flight Meal Service on Some Routes — Here's What's Changing

"In September, Air France announced that it's testing a new initiative that will remove its free in-flight meals for economy class passengers. Instead, it will replace it with a 'Buy on Board' program for those willing and wanting to pay for a meal on select short- and medium-haul flights. The first flights to get the onboard change will be on routes between Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Helsinki and Lisbon. With the new trial, travelers will still be able to get free beverages, including tea, coffee, and water, along with one 'sweet cookie' during their flight." - Stacey Leasca

I wanted to give a giant shout out to Trevion at the Boston Logan site. This guy went over and beyond to help my daughter get into a flight to France. I cannot believe how much attention he gave us to make it all happen. Not sure what he gets paid, but give this man a raise! This is such a high level of customer service that I haven’t seen in years. Many thanks!!!

Absolute nightmare experience trying to reschedule tickets with Air France. Buyer Beware. The company's tactics border on deliberate misinformation and outright scamming. I will try once more to pursue a resolution then contacting the Better Business Bureau. Never again will I use this airline.

Horrific airline. Just like commonly occurring with others, they lost our bags. It’s been 10 days and we have zero updates and all they do is a back & forth between them and swissport for responsibility yet nobody has gotten our luggage. Air France’s negligence ruined our honeymoon and has lost my wife’s wedding dress and my suit. We cut our trip short due to not having our wedding attire for photography and our current missing items value over $1k. Do not fly Air France. Do not go to CDG airport. It is not worth the misery and the games that follow.

This has to be one of the worst airlines in terms of customer service BEFORE and AFTER you fly. On the plane; they’re great. Very kind and gracious. Too much effort was put into the air and not enough on the ground; where their customers actually spend the majority of the time. I flew Air France. I flew Business Class. But not again.

The Air France Lounge near E3 and E4 gate is a very bad food section. I tried their cheese and salami appetizers, good. Not bad. I appreciate that. But the main food chicken teriyaki is super hard to chew and hard as rock. They probably use bad chicken for their customers. I hope they'd really work on their lounge situation and I'm happy to revisit and re-view.

This is an update to the previous review with one star. The fact that AF took my points during COVID restrictions is still not fair. But the change in stars is for some of their employees that go above and beyond. The Air France lounge recepcionist in Boston Logan refused me entry, even with access. But the check-in and air crew more than made up for it. For each bad apple, they have other great individuals that do their best to help. I figured, it's only fair to change my review to reflect the work of the kind workers.

Absolutely horrible airlines. No decency from their airline staff or ground crew members. If you ask them anything some of them respond with “my shift is over” never going to be traveling to this horrible country or their airlines ever again.

It's been 6 days since i didn't received my luggage, i open a claim, called everyday stayed on hold more then 30 min. Nothing yet . Same answers, you luggage still in charles de gaule airport. And i don't know who i have to contact
