10 Best Hotels in Saint Tropez | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set inside a mustard townhouse that hides a dark-wooded Raj‑era scene, I found Airelles Saint‑Tropez, Pan Deï Palais to feel like India-meets-Saint Tropez: the boutique hotel is built on a love story of a 19th‑century British general and an Indian princess, and rooms are animated with splashes of burnt orange, lime, and crimson around four‑poster beds draped in white linen. The exotic theme extends into a walled garden where the pool could pass for a Raj pond, lined with white parasols and thick cushioned loungers, and its central old‑town location — about a seven‑minute walk to the beach — is remarkably serene and calm given how close it is to everything." - Rosalyn Wikeley

Pan Dei Palais (Saint-Tropez, French Riviera / Provence) 7 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Arguably it’s not the same place it was when Brigitte Bardot put it on the map, but everything that was great about St. Tropez then is still great about it now: the bay, the beaches, the gentle Mediterranean climate, and a tradition of high-end hospitality. It’s a tradition that now includes the Pan Deï Palais, a 19th-century mansion that’s been transformed into a stylish, contemporary boutique hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Pan Dei Palais | Best places to stay in Cote d'Azur

"In 1835, a French general built this manor house for his Punjabi princess – today it’s the most lavish and seductive place to stay in the heart of Saint-Tropez.   With its white walls, dark polished woodwork and Asian antiques, the lounge and library still feel as welcoming and informal as a family home; while the 12 bedrooms are expensively furnished, with distinctive flashes of colour. The tropical garden, with its gorgeous mosaic pool, is irresistible: couples will love the peace and glamour of this place, including romantic honeymooners’ gazebos. Pan Dei Palais is, though, very welcoming of children, with a ‘one big family’ approach that makes you feel right at home. For the ultimate Tropezian fantasy, spend a dream day cruising along the Cote d’Azur on the hotel’s 31-metre yacht, with indoor-outdoor lounges, bar, sports facilities and a crew of five. My husband and I had the joy of celebrating our first wedding anniversary at Arielles Pan Dei Palais, joined by a group of dear friends, and our stay could not have been more special. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Anne, who thoughtfully arranged our seamless port transfer and made sure we felt right at home. We stayed in the Kamadeva room, which was spacious, comfortable, and filled with wonderful natural light. We especially appreciated the generous closet space and storage room for our suitcases—it made settling in effortless and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our time. Breakfast each morning was an absolute highlight. The spread was both generous and beautifully presented—fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, cheeses, and meats—accompanied by a menu of entrées made to order. It was the perfect start to the day, enjoyed in such a charming setting, and made all the more delightful by Arnold’s thoughtful service and warm conversation. Oscar was equally attentive—always checking in to ensure our experience was personalized and memorable, and swiftly helping us with dinner and tennis court reservations. Arnold brightened our mornings at breakfast with his hospitality, always remembering our coffee order and surprising us with drinks while we waited for our car to depart. One evening, Basil (forgive me if I have misspelled his name) went above and beyond to assist our group at dinner, and even helped me rediscover a cocktail I loved but couldn’t recall the name of. Each interaction with the staff reflected a genuine kindness and care that made us feel both at ease and celebrated. The property itself is stunning, rich with history (which we loved learning about from Anne), and with only 12 rooms it offers an intimate, home-like atmosphere where every guest feels special. We also truly appreciated the access to Château de la Messardière, where we enjoyed meals, the gym, and plenty of padel and tennis. Finally, the location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of town, yet offering a tranquil escape. We left with full hearts and the fondest memories, deeply grateful to the team for making our anniversary trip so unforgettable.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this Airelles property w/ our two young daughters a week ago. The staff was kind and gracious and our room(s) were both fantastic. From little gifts for the children to daily evening surprises, every moment of our time at Pan Dei Palais was beyond special. We went to another, equally special Airelles hotel in Gordes after we departed Pan Dei and were pleasantly surprised when a framed photo of our family from breakfast in Saint-Tropez that morning was thoughtfully placed on a nightstand in our new hotel room. Our girls, in particular, thought it was magical and have already requested a return trip next summer!

We had the absolute best stay here in August! We could walk anywhere with the perfect location, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They added multiple personal touches during our time there that really made this hotel stand out. The rooms were all unique and had so much character! They were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We have nothing but good things to say- we highly recommend! We can’t wait to return and visit more Airelles properties in the future!

Nothing but good things to say about our stay at Pan Dei. The hotel is small, which made it feel really private and special. The location is perfect, you step outside and you’re right in the center of town. We also got access to the Airelles Château estate, so it felt like the best of both worlds. The staff were amazing, so warm and welcoming. Oscar and the concierge team went out of their way to help with reservations and made everything super easy.

Google
Exceptional experience. Extremely generous and hospitable. Other hotels, even elite ones, try to nickel and dime you for every tiny thing you touch (mini bar, etc). Arielles was totally different. They gave us with daily gifts. Their minibar was completely free. These costs are insignificant… but it’s the attitude behind the this that matters. You feel taken care of when you stay here — like everything is handled or complimentary. This is a great feeling. Highly recommend this place because it’s close to town and you still get access to the Chateau (which is incredible). Last thing, their AC can make the room actually cold if you want. This was huge. Most hotels restrict how cold you can make your room. They don’t. I love to sleep in a cold room, so this was the cherry on top of a great stay.

We stayed at this Airelles property September 14-18. We had very high expectations for the amount of money we paid. We had some disappointments that we should share especially when you are expecting a 5 star stay. |First for the pros. The staff for the most part was amazing. It started out a bit awkward as the girl who checked us in led us outside through a puddle (they were hosing down the pool area), then realized we were already checked in, and said she would show us to our room. She then says our room isn’t ready (it was approx 3 PM and to come back in an hour). After we checked in, we came back downstairs and I wanted to ask her for a couple of extra pillows but she was talking to a coworker and completely ignored me. I stood there for about 20 seconds. I began walking away and she asked if I needed something? I said, I would try back later since she was busy and she just said, “okay”. It was rude. Everyone else after that point was very polite and receptive. Our favorite service was the breakfast in the morning. The 2 gentleman that served us each day were so friendly and enjoyable. That’s where our 3 stars go to.|Now for the reasons we would not recommend this property; |1. Our room was not up to par. The shower had black mildew in it. The cleaning girl just came in and made the bed and changed the towels. It was not cleaned. The floor was dirty and we had spilled a little bit of wine on our table the first night and it remained there for our entire stay. The extra pillows were at the foot of the bed to elevate my legs after a surgery, and she actually made the bed with the pillows at the foot not even bothering to pull them up and make the bed look nice. Also, one of the faucets didn’t drain so they had someone come in a day later to fix it which was a bit of a disruption. |2. I filled out a survey they sent to us and offered pictures of the mildew, the table, and the way the bed was made and we never got any response. I dislike giving negative reviews of properties but when we have concerns and there is no effort on the part of management to address it with us, we feel it is necessary to put the information out there. |We met some people staying in a 3 star boutique hotel that paid 1/3 of what we paid and they showed us the property. It was absolutely lovely and immaculate. Do your research on how Europe appoints 5 stars. It is eye- opening and we learned our lesson for sure. |On a positive note, Saint Tropez was beautiful and fun! Sadly, I missed the morning peacocks but my husband saw one wandering in the streets.

We came for dinner and drinks and I think it was - as usual for the Airelles group - a tremendous pleasure and experience. Amazing food, staff attentive and friendly, drinks beyond amazing. Also if you come for a date that's your spot, no questions!

Yelp
Next time in St. Tropez, I plan on staying here. Although I have never seen a room, I almost got married here. We came here for drinks and absolutely loved it. The pool area is amazing and there are beds by the pool and also chaises. I feel this is the best placed hotel in the whole city because it is right next to the place des lices and at one of the entrances to the port. I highly suggest renting a scooter while here because parking is annoying and you can take the scooter all over town and park it no problem.

Yelp
Came here after the worst train ride and bus ride. Our train was delayed 2.5 hours because the train that was ahead of us had broken down and then we had a bus ride that lasted 1.5 hours. We then had to drag our suitcases and walk over a mile to our hotel since we had got in so late that there were no taxis anywhere. We got a great deal at this hotel in that even though the rooms go for well over $600 a night, ($1200 per night during peak season) we were able to get our rooms for $350 per night. The rooms were really comfortable and the bed was probably the best during this trip. The staff at the hotel were very warm and welcoming. They helped us with all of our questions and took care of all of our needs. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time that I am in Saint Tropez. Staying at this hotel definitely made our nightmarish journey here seem so far away. Very grateful that we were staying here.
