The Best Hotels in Saint Tropez

"India-meets-Saint Tropez. This mustard townhouse confounds guests with its shuttered exterior concealing a dark-wooded Raj-era scene inside. The boutique hotel is built on a love story—where a 19th-century British general fell in love with an Indian princess, who later took her grief and rich color palette to Saint Tropez. Old-world fans and four posters dressed in white linen curtains set an exotic tone, and while splashes of burnt orange, lime, and crimsons animate the rooms, the bass note is earthy and restrained. The theme spills out into a walled garden, where the pool (which could have been a Raj pond in a past life) is lined with white parasols and thick, cushioned loungers. Its central location in the old town—a seven-minute walk to the beach—is staggering given its overall feeling of serenity and calm." - Rosalyn Wikeley

Exceptional experience. Extremely generous and hospitable. Other hotels, even elite ones, try to nickel and dime you for every tiny thing you touch (mini bar, etc). Arielles was totally different. They gave us with daily gifts. Their minibar was completely free. These costs are insignificant… but it’s the attitude behind the this that matters. You feel taken care of when you stay here — like everything is handled or complimentary. This is a great feeling. Highly recommend this place because it’s close to town and you still get access to the Chateau (which is incredible). Last thing, their AC can make the room actually cold if you want. This was huge. Most hotels restrict how cold you can make your room. They don’t. I love to sleep in a cold room, so this was the cherry on top of a great stay.

Nothing but good things to say about our stay at Pan Dei. The hotel is small, which made it feel really private and special. The location is perfect, you step outside and you’re right in the center of town. We also got access to the Airelles Château estate, so it felt like the best of both worlds. The staff were amazing, so warm and welcoming. Oscar and the concierge team went out of their way to help with reservations and made everything super easy.

This is truly a luxury hotel! The service from the moment we entered the hotel was impeccable. Everyone who works there was sincerely welcoming not only to my wife and myself but to my two dogs. They were each given dog collars and their own beds in the room which was totally luxurious. A fully stocked mini bar with two bottles of wine which were complimentary. It was my wife’s birthday and at breakfast the staff made her feel like a queen. I have visited many so called “luxury” hotels and I would have to say this one ranks top of the list. Would recommend and will definitely be returning. Oh yea the wine is amazing!

We came for dinner and drinks and I think it was - as usual for the Airelles group - a tremendous pleasure and experience. Amazing food, staff attentive and friendly, drinks beyond amazing. Also if you come for a date that's your spot, no questions!

We had the most amazing and memorable stay in Airelles Pan Dei Palais in Saint Tropez. The exclusive property has 12 rooms and loved the story and history behind this boutique hotel. The personalized service wowed us. The location, the property, the room, the restaurant, the amenities and the hospitality was truly incredible. Highly recommend this wonderful property.

The review is only for the pool bar and restaurant as we did not stay at the hotel. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, just a stone’s throw from St Tropez old town center. The property is beautiful and well kept and in good taste. The pool area is both for the bar (accepts walk-ins) and the restaurant terrace. Pleasant live music was played and the drinks were decent (the ice cubes are a work of art). The food on the other hand was nothing to write home about. It was supposed to be some form of Indian Asian fusion. It did not live up to its promise. For example the socca tortilla was dry and crumbly and the meat filling was somewhat bland and came cold. There is a “naan bar”, but by itself it is a bit odd as it’s really tantamount to a bar for pitas. Will probably be back for a drink away from the tourist hustle. But that’s about it.

Yelp
Next time in St. Tropez, I plan on staying here. Although I have never seen a room, I almost got married here. We came here for drinks and absolutely loved it. The pool area is amazing and there are beds by the pool and also chaises. I feel this is the best placed hotel in the whole city because it is right next to the place des lices and at one of the entrances to the port. I highly suggest renting a scooter while here because parking is annoying and you can take the scooter all over town and park it no problem.

Yelp
Came here after the worst train ride and bus ride. Our train was delayed 2.5 hours because the train that was ahead of us had broken down and then we had a bus ride that lasted 1.5 hours. We then had to drag our suitcases and walk over a mile to our hotel since we had got in so late that there were no taxis anywhere. We got a great deal at this hotel in that even though the rooms go for well over $600 a night, ($1200 per night during peak season) we were able to get our rooms for $350 per night. The rooms were really comfortable and the bed was probably the best during this trip. The staff at the hotel were very warm and welcoming. They helped us with all of our questions and took care of all of our needs. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time that I am in Saint Tropez. Staying at this hotel definitely made our nightmarish journey here seem so far away. Very grateful that we were staying here.
