Aires de Doñana

"The highly individual beauty of El Rocío derives from its people, its folklore and its spirituality, not forgetting, of course, its proximity to the superb landscapes of the Doñana National Park. In this restaurant, crowned by a thatched roof and featuring a decor typical of this marshland area, enjoy pleasantly updated traditional cuisine alongside a few typical local dishes such as steamed clams, Mostrenca veal, trammel net-caught prawns etc). The terrace is particularly pleasant with its splendid views overlooking the lagoon and the famous sanctuary of El Rocío as a backdrop." - Michelin Inspector

We were sitting on the terrace. The restaurant has a unique view. The food is tasty, well prepared, but I can't say that it is uniquely delicious. We had beef and were not asked about the doneness of the meat. Mine was cooked Medium, and I prefer it Well-done. The service - I did not like it. One of the staff was basically chasing a cat. Our plates sat empty on the table for quite some time until they were served, although quite a few waiters passed us by. No one asked us if everything was ok or if we needed anything. The restaurant wasn't full so I don't understand why that was. But the view is lovely.

The food was delicious and quite a range of different options as well. The sights were really pretty and the place was very nice as well. However, there was only one waiter who could take our order, so we had to wait half an hour before he could take our order. The other waiter who served us was quite arrogant, but the rest of the staff was friendly but all were unattentive and slow. They or ignored you or didn't notice you or said "one moment" and then took a full fifteen minutes to come back. Very sad. Such a shame, because the food was truly scrumptious.

We had a three course lunch here on the veranda overlooking the marsh with its horses and flamingos and a view of the quirky town - think spaghetti western set. Every mouthful was delicious - fish soup, steak and cheesecake for desert - with good wine and a reasonable price for the quality. The waiter was informative and direct in the true Spanish way.

Disappointing. The view is amazing but does not match the food. I have ordered two main meat dishes, both came with heavy ‘artificial’ taste gravy. Totally unnecessary and definitely too much of it. The meat was chewy, gumy with no taste. Also annoying not sharped, aged knifes. For the starter I have ordered a tatare it was good but not exeptionally good. I would come back but just for a coffe&desert.

This restaurant has wonderful views of both the lovely church and the lake that was filled with flamingos, ducks, storks, ibises and other waterfowl. The food was very good and nicely seasoned. The croquets were the best we had had in town. Very nice wine selection as well. Can see why they received a Michelin star in both 2018 and 2020

fantastic view. food was great but little bit expensive. Dont forget to order white huelva prawn with 'cocido' not 'plancha' because when the quality of ingredient is suprgood, better to cook it very slicely. I should visit again when I travel to Donana natural park. cheers!!

This place has a great view. We started with a mozerela pesto salad and some anchoas de cantabria a side, both delicious. The marinaded olives are very tasteful. Would be a 5 star if the staff was more friendly. It was a national holiday today, so very crowded but still if your work is hospitality...

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced in Europe. Waiting on staff were dismissive and never smiled once. The food was mediocre at best, overpriced and was received at different times resulting in some meals arriving 15 minutes before others. However the location was lovely.
