Airi Ramen 1960

First visit and I definitely will return. The food was delicious, staff was so friendly. I ordered the sesame chicken with white rice and hubby ordered the house fried rice. DELICIOUS FOOD. If you are in the area, stop in get a plate or few.

The dine in experience would be so calm and excellent, but taking this order to go was the only option, first time trying this place, friendly staff, knowledgeable, ordered wonton soup and orange chicken, both very bland and lack of any flavor, just missed something to wow, orange chicken was juicy, hot, very light plate but the sauce was tasteless. Soups just tasted like a low end chicken broth. A bit underwhelming but maybe to try it inside and other options, I’d give that the benefit of the doubt. For the price it was fine. The ramen looks excellent.

Very nice and reasonably priced. The kids and I enjoyed it. The restroom was clean and stocked. There wasn't a huge crowd so we didn't have to wait long for service. Some things were out of place but overall a very nice place.

Tried to take a pic before I started eating but couldn't wait. Food was so good. We got the crab puffs A+, Chicken Katsu A++, California Rolls A+++. Atmosphere was top tier, Server was very helpful and friendly.

The food was fantastic! The pork in the bao is so crispy and delicious, and the bao itself was so soft and fluffy! While I personally would've liked a little more fruit in the poké, they were also delicious! Props to the woman serving several tables by herself!!

My husband brought food home tonight and I was so disappointed with the house yaki udon. It's my favorite dish and I have had it many times, but tonight it had 0 flavor and tasted like there was no sauce was very dry. Rest of food was good which is why it's 3 star instead of 2 . Hope it was just an off night or a new cook that's learning. We will be back though and hopefully it's as good as it usually is

Me and my friend decided to try a new place together and wow this is our new favorite, we usually go to Jinya and another hole in the wall spot but this take the prize. I wish the sushi wasn’t so delicious so I would’ve remembered to take pictures, but 10/10! The service is only 4 stars because it’s 2 people working so it’s a bit slow but the food makes it worth it!

Love Love Love! Always GREAT food! Their Miso Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen are my husband and I favorite go to with a side of sushi. Never a dull moment 🫶🏼

I came here for some alone time for lunch! It was perfect. The place is quaint and small but lots of seating for small and large groups. Because it was after lunch hour, I was the only one in but my server was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the bao buns.... VERY DELICIOUS! The miso soup was meh. I will be back to try more!

This is my third time coming here and It's okay, the basil chicken wasn't very flavorful, didn't taste like basil and needed salt. But was very fresh and slightly crispy. I wouldn't personally get it again. The katsu was VERY crispy and was on a bed of sautéed squash. It's crispy and thin and hits that craving. What lacks in flavor they make up for it in portions. I would gladly pay 15 for the katsu again. I come here if I have the taste for it

the spicy chicken ramen is 10/10. i would recommend and get again next time. the yaki udon was at best, alright. the noodles themselves were good but the dish lacked flavor and color. if i got again, i would ask for chile oil. the service was fast and friendly. we walked in about 40 mins before closing and were out the door by 10. personally i like my soups bordering on boiling while i eat and they definitely hit the mark. the atmosphere and seating were both very cute. they had 2 large tables that would be able to fit a large party of about 20 each.

We ordered the crispy calamari, 72 hr beef ramen & the general tsos chicken. The only thing that was tasty was the calamari & the white rice that came with the chicken. The beef in the ramen was overcooked and the broth was not flavorful, like a 3/10 for the broth. The general tsos comes with a miso soup and white rice. The miso soup tasted rancid. The sauce had brunt pieces all over it and ruined the entire dish. Sadly, would not come again.

First time here and I was a little disappointed. Got the chicken katsu, new caney roll, spicy salmon roll and black garlic ramen. Chicken katsu was good I'd give it 7/10, it was crispy and the stir fried veggie that it comes with was yummy and the portion is huge! But sadly, it's down hill from there, the ramen portion was tiny mostly bean sprouts, the pork was tough, paid an extra 1.25 for corn and barely got a spoon full. Don't get the sushi, it's not worth the money. The service was good, our server was nice and quick. The vibe here was nice, they had 3 different anime playing and the decoration was nice. Would I come back, probably not. Unless I'm craving chicken katsu. Over all 4/10

I've been to this location a few times and some menu items are better than others. The servers have always been very friendly, and the restaurant is typically quiet. I ordered takeout once and the food was not good; The dine-in experience was better.

This place is one of the best ramen places in the area. I got the B1. Tonkotsu Ramen and my husband got the spicy garlic ramen. The pork broth was mild but very yummy. The pork chashu is amazing, same with the seasoned eggs. The only very mild complaint we had is there is a lot of beans sprouts in the ramen. The spring rolls are THE BEST I've ever had at a restaurant. They are outstanding for veggie spring rolls. A note for anyone who is interested in coming their default water, despite me loving it, is cucumber lemon water. So make sure you ask for regular water. The vibe is very nice, lots of tvs and lanterns. They only have one server, and it wasn't very busy when we came but he was very sweet and quick.

I noticed Airi as I was stopping by next door at KF to get some work done. Soft opening of their restaurant. So thankful that I changed my plans to come here for lunch. The interior was crisp, clean, and modern. Really tasteful Japanese lanterns without being overdone. And an incredible mural depicting the street life within a Japanese urban area. I debated a bit with the menu (you wonder if a place that serves General Tao's chicken can produce some solid non-fusion food) but went with the waitress' recommendation to get the spicy miso ramen. The broth was beautifully rich and thick, with just the right amount of spice level that still allowed me to taste the rich textures of the meat. The pork belly was deliciously seasoned and amazingly tender. The soft boiled egg was perfect and the vegetables were fresh and crisp and added to an overall impressive ramen. There was nothing fusion about this dish at all- just honest to goodness, legit ramen.

I'm so glad I discovered this place. I was looking for another ramen option since I've been going to the same one for years (you know which one). To my surprise they offer so much more than ramen!!! I was highly impressed with the ambiance and decor. Such a cute option for a casual lunch or date night. The menu offers everything from main stream appetizers to baos to ramen to Chinese dishes to sushi. I've been twice already and had both ramen and sushi. Everything is literally made to order. Hooked. Support this mom + pop!

Solid spot for ramen and poke in north Houston! I really enjoyed the poke! Everything tasted fresh! We also got the Takoyaki which was solid as well. Service was great too!

I placed an order and went to pick it up as I was almost there. I got a notice saying that the order had been canceled due to lack of availability of some of the items since I was already there I went in. They said they were out of beef. It's a Friday night, what? trying to help small businesses but I guess they're too far gone. I hope they can get their act together. It's a cute interior and could be a good restaurant with proper management.

if I could give this place negative I would. My fiancé and I come in just an half an hour ago and we stand in the from the young girl tells us we can sit where ever . We sit down wait about 15 minutes just for her to make eye contact and come to the table . We gave her our order all at once because we figured it it took 15 mins for her to even acknowledge us then it's going to take forever for her to bring us anything. Mind you this young girl seems like she's the only one working, and there were about 4 other guest who were also waiting on things and to even be acknowledged people started walking out !!! Our appetizers came up and an older Asian women brought them out to us and we didn't even have drinks! So we're sitting here like we'll might as well eat these because we're never going to get our drinks. We finish eating then we get frustrated because after waiting 30 mins or a bit more for just drinks was insane ! So we decided to get up leave and of course pay . In the front is another couple waiting to pay and the lady ask for change and the young girl says they don't have change ... how do you not have change at an establishment where you can pay in cash?? So then we pay I have a 20 she tells me the same thing and continues to give me a 5 when she told us the dumplings were 11 bucks. Which I don't think is right but whatever , 20-11= 9 dollars , she owed me 4 dollars and wasn't going to give them to me , I told her I'm sorry there was no communication at all , besides before us sitting our own selves and the fact we got an appetizer before the drinks was crazy to me. So she wasn't going to get a tip but the fact she wasn't honest and tried to steal the money was insane! Do not come here horrible service, also she said the manager was in the back. Why the heck are they in the back doing nothing when they see this girl is swamped and obviously can't handle a few tables ? DO NOT COME HERE !!

Was excited to try this place when we got a mailer from them! The menu has lots of different options for different kinds of dietary needs and our server was happy to ask for me about menu items to ensure they were safe for me to eat. The spicy garlic edamame is a garlic lovers dream and absolutely delicious! I also really enjoyed the chicken wonton ramen. The broth you can tell is a rich chicken bone broth and the noodles were cooked perfectly still having a little chewy bite to them. The wontons lacked flavor but the veggies were nice and fresh. My husband greatly enjoyed his shaggy dog roll and looks forward to bringing some of our friends who like sushi to come try it. Food was yummy, staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere and was very clean. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I forget the man's name but he was the host and waiter. He was very tentative making sure we weren't waiting on anything from refills to extra napkins. Was personable asking if this was our first visit and what had brought us in today. Gyoza, edamame, and ramen were great. My chicken teriyaki was a little too dry for me but I was hungry and still ate it as it wasn't beyond inedible just a little too overdone. I'll probably visit again

My daughter and I stopped in for dinner. It was kind of late Friday for dinner, around 8pm. They weren't very busy. We were acknowledged right away and the server was pretty attentive. He made suggestions for appetizers and meals and engaged well with my daughter, who didn't really know what she wanted. He was really patient. We ended up both getting the spicy miso ramen after sharing the gyoza appetizer. We both enjoyed the food, but it was a little spicy for her (she's 10). I thought it was a good spice level. Enough to get a little burn, but not be overwhelming. I wish I had added corn. You can customize the ramen, I just didn't think about it when I ordered. They had other dishes, as well. Yaki soba, bao, lots of appetizers. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had several flavors of Calpico. I got the strawberry. My daughter had strawberry Ramune. Lots of art on the walls, it's pretty neat. We sat at the big table, where if it was busy, multiple parties would sit together. The centerpieces were pretty - rocks and seashells. Will definitely be back.

Tried the house fried rice. The rice was clean and consisted of chicken, shrimp, and pork. Pork was the primary meat in the dish. Shrimp was large and deveined. I appreciated the meal but feel the quantity didn't match the price point. The restaurant was nicely decorated and staff was lovely. I'd return.

I can't wait to go back to this place! Super laid back, great service and overall great vibes. We had the ramen and it was some of the best we've had in a while.

The food and service was amazing. Traveled to Houston from South Carolina for a graduation and was looking for something to eat one night. Ran across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The customer service was great. We were greeted and seated as soon as we came it. The scenery inside of this place is original and dope. The sushi was fresh and tasted great. The fried rice was homemade, no premade food over there, everything cooked to order. The Japanese Chicken was the star of the show! So juicy and full of flavor! I give this place a 5/5, all of the food we had was amazing, customer service great and overall atmosphere perfect!

We wanted to love this place so bad, but based on our recent experience we knew we didn't want to bring ourselves here anymore...we took an order to go, when we got home one of our food items were missing, as well as my girlfriends food being completely wrong...we drove back an hr just to get told she's sorry and then she gave us the other bag that was for us from the counter which was sitting there since we left we asked if we could have anything for the inconvenience on their part but was refused anything

Came here with a few friends. The wait staff was very sweet( to be exact, Rachel). Ordered the black garlic tonkontsu ramen and fried calamari(not pictured). The food was very flavorful and the ambience was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.

Trying new places around town & hit a great spot tonight. We had - Poke bowl,Spicy ramen & Chicken Katsu Everything was on point the garlic edamame had us wanting more. The poke bowl was refreshing after a spicy ramen. Service was good for the one waitress, she was quick & price was not bad.

Airi Ramen has great services and fast services. The sake is overpriced and you can obtain the sake at a local liquior store. The chicken katsu tasted fresh, but I have eaten better chicken katsu at another restaurant. The server has great service but he is not familiar with Japanese food. A++ service.

The miso ramen was something else. There were so many ingredients in there, like seaweed, beef, eggs and well miso. As a result I was able to experience a dif flavor profile with each bite. My favorite thing though was the beef belly bao. The flavor of the sauce was intense and the beef was nice and soft. The only thing I would change is the warm ness of the bread compared to the meat itself... but I Get it if you warm it up too much it breaks apart.

05/06/2024. Not my first time eating here but this time was disappointing. Got the Shrimp Tempura appetizer which was good. It was crispy and flavorful. Also got the Tonkotsu Ramen which has been tasty in the past. This time the broth had no flavor at all. It looked like bone broth but tasted like warm water. Never had this issue before at this place. Made for an awful bowl of Ramen. I should've went somewhere else.

I arrived here for the first time and ordered the spicy miso ramen and salmon roll. Both were really tasty and I would definitely come back here. The ramen had great flavor and they give you a nice quantity of food.

Love it here!!! I had the spicy edemami and takoyaki as an appetizer. Was awesome! Don't know how they make the sauce for the spicy edemami , but you could put it on a shoe and it would make it good. Also had the super yummy ramen and it was fantastic! Definitely the best ramen in Houston in my opinion. I've had ramen at the places in China town and such and they do not compare. Brand new place, but definitely worth the drive! Can't wait to come again!

I was driving around looking for early dinner meal and found Airi Ramen Spring and decided to give them a try. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and a smoked salmon roll. In summary, the atmosphere was very pleasant, great service and the food quality is outstanding and fairly priced. I would definitely come back to Airi Ramen Spring again to try their other dishes.

The ramen was not really memorable, the substitutions were not very easy to switch out. When asking about being able to substitute a meat out for another item they will still charge for the meat even though it's being removed from the dish. I went with a friend and would not really want to go back. The crab Rangoon was not that fresh, they were okay but again not the freshness I was expecting.

Had a great time with my fiancé for an after work date! We got the basil chicken karaage, gyoza & a pork belly bao, everything was fresh and tasted great!

I went today to check it out because of these highly rated reviews. Well, It was meh, definitely one time type of place. I ordered spicy miso ramen and harimaki. Harimaki was 3 out of 10. The ramen was not what I expected. The broth wasn't rich or flavorful it was plain spicy broth. Service was good. I liked the waiter, he was very attentive and nice. But ramen itself not my fav.

Airi Ramen food wise was a great! Love trying new things! The sake and beer is overpriced, and they only have one waiter.. the food is what gave it all 4 stars!

I ordered the spicy chicken ramen. The ramen was really good! Broth was flavorful, noodles were cooked to perfection and it packed the perfect amount of spice! The only thing was the chicken wasn't tender. I'd probably try it with no meat next time. Service was good- the manager was polite.

This is our favorite ramen spot! We used to drive across town for it but now we live much closer. Been coming here since their grand opening. Prices are good. Food is always delicious. Service is consistently kind & attentive, without being too much. I'd recommend this spot to any and everyone!

Mannnnnn. So my wife and I just tried this spot yesterday. The sushi was awesome. No really. The Sushi was thebomb.com ok? The issue boils down to the teriyaki chicken and the teriyaki shrimp we both ordered. My wife did not eat but two pieces of chicken before not being able to continue due to the texture being so tough. The veggies that came with both entrees were great as well but the bottom of the pan they serve the food in was burned and that affected the taste of the food. The shrimp I had was a bit tough in texture as well and when eating I feared it hadn't been cooked all the way due to the texture....well here I am today and I have a horrible stomach ache, diarrhea, and I'm cramping in my abdomen. I literally just got over whatever norovirus was going around and now here I am with food poisoning. Over $80 spent for a meal we both didn't really enjoy and a meal that made me sick. Probably never gonna eat here again. But props to the server we had. She was very kind, joyful, and made sure to repeatedly check on us during our time eating.
