Aishah's Chinese Halal

They didn’t have seatings but they found out we came to eat-in they have opened up the next room. Food was delicious and kind service.

i’m not sure if they’re under new management or what but this is NOT the aisha’s i know. i ordered boneless spare rib tips with shrimp lo mein and general tso chicken with fried rice. the rib tips that were full of bones are absolutely disgusting. they have an overwhelming musty/old smell and the taste matches that. the shrimp lo mein is dry and barely has flavor. their general tso chicken is soft like a boiled potato and is also nasty. the only thing in the order that was good was the fried rice. absolutely unacceptable to be charging $43 for food that isn’t edible nor appetizing.

Ever since I have moved to the south ward of Newark in July, this is the only place I get Chinese food from. So clean. So tasty. I love this spot. Not too long of wait times even with a rush. Forgot to take a picture when I first got it because it’s that good.

Called for a delivery order at 5pm. I get a text message at 5:32 saying my food is here. I waited for over 30 mins, I called them 4 times, every time they say I’ll call the driver and call back. They never called back !!! I called at 6 pm and told them to cancel. They call me at 6:02 saying they will not cancel or refund me. Then driver calls me and I told him I already canceled. Then they call me again harassing me to accept the food !!! Unbelievable

The food is in one word, Amazing. I don’t eat pork so I can eat here with rest of mind. The kitchen is open and neatly kept for you to see. The owner is super friendly and has the best recommendations. I went with the Singapore style rice noodles u and it hit the spot. Not greasy and pretty healthy i would say. Prices are very decent too.

Food was disgusting tzo general chicken for that mess. $9.00 for that mess. Took forever to get it. No taste two broccoli stem packed rice few pieces of meat. We went there 11am sometime, never again.

I order the same thing every time and the last 2xs I’ve ordered my food has been old, my French fries have been so hard I can knock out a window! I even called to let them know about it and they still sent horrible ones! And the food took over an hour and 15mins and I live very close to the area. They are not like they used to be.

I came here a while ago as a group of 8. The service was AMAZING. The workers were so sweet, attentive, and helpful. The food was good as well. I got the sesame chicken which wasn’t my favorite but i enjoyed it. The people i ate with got various things and enjoyed their food a lot so it’s personal preference. I would recommend you try this place at least once!

Although the service sucks and the employees can be very rude and nasty (especially the lady), I have been here quite a few times and have tried a few things on the menu. The honey wings are pretty good but can be overly saucy (too sweet). The past few times I've ordered their wings, they have been very hairy and inedible. The lo mein and fried rice are very average. The dumplings were so disappointing. I did not enjoy them at all. They don't even properly close containers and send you home with food and sauces spilling out all in the bag. I'm really going to stop giving them my money.

Stopped in to order some food with my toddler and school aged kid. The lady at the counter was very standoffish and unfriendly at the beginning of the transaction. I can excuse this because of the time of the day. Food cost was more expensive than usual, but then again, this is the world we live in now. The food was your standard fare. I ordered fried shrimp and I can tell by the flavor that it's the mass produced frozen product. That was disappointing. I didn't enjoy the flavor of the shrimp and will not be ordering again. In fact, I disliked it so much that the next day I decided to make real homemade buttermilk fried shrimp and that was world's better than the shrimp I bought here the day before. They are probably known for other dishes and I may try them again but right now, it's a no from me.

food is great and the place is clean. I like the shrimp roll and shrimp wit broccoli is delicious. highly recommend!

Amazing service ! Great food. I only ordered here because Amin halal Chinese was rude as hell, so I called here and the service was amazing and the food was so good ! Loved it. We ordered house fried rice, large. And jumbo shrimp in orange sauce. Both tasted really really good. Delivery was fast and the driver was very nice and friendly. God bless.

There is not much variety in this area of Newark, however, this Chinese Halal restaurant is a breath of fresh air. They offer both white steamed rice, brown, and fried rice which can be hard to come across. I was feeling a vegetarian meal so I opted for the crispy tofu in garlic sauce which came accompanied with an assortment of vegetables (carrots, squash, broccoli, and green beans) and steamed white rice. You can find a great deal here with their lunch special pricing, so definitely come before 3pm to take advantage. I'll be coming back, but will want to try a seafood option as well as a chicken option on my next visit.

So cheap and really good Chinese food. Love the basic chicken and broccoli over rice. The lady is very nice.

Very good! I Will be revisiting in the near future. Variety and price is great! I ussually order the orange beef and beef fried rice.

My wife and I purchased an order of garlic wings with egg fried rice and chicken w Broccoli w garlic sauce & 2 uptown teas. When getting home we notice that there was BIG FLY floating inside one of the uptown tea. We contacted the store and spoke with manger who did nothing to help us. We will no longer eat at this restaurant and we DO NOT RECOMMEND!! it. If u do eat there, double check your food for flies!!! BEWARE!!!!

Food was so good ordered the Egg Foo Young super tasty . chicken well done & crispy . Customer service was A1 as well . Definitely returning

Authentic Chinese restaurant. Good service good food. If you are around Newark NJ its a must try.

My friend recommended this place to me. I was hooked after my first order when I seen how clean the shrimp were in my egg foo young. I only order from here unless I want boneless spare ribs and obviously I can't get those from here lol sorry. But definitely try this place , you'll enjoy Chinese food even more ! Oh plus they have the best shrimp fried rice you've ever taste.

This is the best HALAL Chinese spot in Newark....if not NEW JERSEY periodt. I order from them at least once a week. The food is always fresh and hot and the CUSTOMER SERVICE is outstandingly friendly. Love this place

I placed an order with them and the order never arrived. I called multiple time to be told yes give driver few more minutes and 2hrs later still no food. Horrible service I won't order from them anymore.

Aishas food is the best chinese spot around . But they suck when it comes to being considerate My order was 16.75$ & I had 15.75$ on my card & a dollar cash & they couldnt even take the dollar cash im a pregnant woman craving chinese food & just for a dollar like come on money is money ! I will never order from them again & then ontop of that its more money for less chicken wings very stupid .

Don't go, this place has a sense of entitlement because they are the only restaurant in the area thats willing to stay open, poor service, poor attitude, Had me we waiting 30min for chicken wings fries and broccoli, then gets there to pick it up, food still not ready plus asked me to wait another 10min outside. Why wasn't it ready I already waited an hour. 1-2-21 snow everywhere

Not to many real Halal food places with that authentic taste, I grew up on Chinese food but knowing this is Halal an handled with care is a super plus for me! Glad to see Muslims have a choice in good food spots we grew up on loving that is now good for us! Awesome food I will give it 10 stars if I could...

Patrons beware! The food is delicious, but if you order delivery with a credit card the driver is directed by the owner to take a picture of your license/ID and the last four digits of your credit card. This is not a professional practice. I understand the need to verify the card and check ID, but taking pictures crosses the line. I called to voice my concerns, they insisted I was told that when I ordered, but I most certainly was not. I would not have placed the order had I known. It's very upsetting that I was put in the position upon the arrival of my order. Had my family not been waiting for dinner, I would have sent it back. They need to find a better way to conduct business.

My brother who has been coming here for a couple of years recently ordered a whole cheesesteak sandwich and soda to be delivered. He planned on sharing this with his girlfriend. When he opened the bag it was only half a sandwich. When he called the restaurant to ask why he only got half a sandwich and paid for a whole sandwich, they said, "We gave you double meat". He didn't ask for double meat , he asked for a whole sandwich. How were they supposed to share that? No apology was given nor an offer to make things right. He won't be back.

I ordered last night for the first time and I will say that the fried rice was delicious. I am perfectly familiar with Uncle Ben products and it is by far my favorite rice even over traditional brown rice, basmati or jasmine which are also my top favorites. The sesame chicken and general tso was very tasty and fresh. The sesame chicken had just the right amount of spice to it. It is wonderful to have a relatively healthy fresh Chinese (moderately priced) option in this neighborhood. Keep up the good work, the freshness and flavors were very much appreciated!

Food was very delicious. I traveled just about an hr away just to try. I had a craving for some Halal Chinese in which they don't have anywhere near where I live. Surely was worth the drive the beef rib tips was on the money. With the Uptown Icetea banging on top of the service the host so welcoming..!!

This is by far the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever ordered from. First I placed an order through online I called to confirm the order There an hour later I get a call that the guys downstairs I go downstairs and he's not there I called him he tells me he's around the corner on the opposite side of my building I ask him to come upstairs which I paid three dollars for as I am sick and he couldn't even get around the corner then he proceeded to not want to take my card info and drive off with my food after being charged. I will never ever ever deliver Chinese food from them ever again.

Was visiting the hospital nearby and found this spot on the way after work. Chinese food as expected. Tasted good. It's Newark so people were hanging out in the place and outside -normal. The owner, im guessing, said salaam as she was leaving and was very nice and had a warming attitude.

Great food. Doesn't seem like the nicest neighborhood so may be worthwhile to go during daytime hours but the food is great and prices aren't bad. The people were super nice too. Let us pray there. Good halal food.
