Google
Very good price for the amount of salmon and tuna you get. The squid tasted a bit odd, but the amount of sashimi you get for the price is great. The salmon and tuna are also very thick slices which is nice.

Heard a lot of good things about this sushi place, so decided to give it a try. Ordered a combo. The fish is not very fresh compared to other sushi place, and too much sauce on the rolls, covering the fish taste. The store is very dark, quiet. Service is cold. Not very impressed.

Google
Aisushi is probably the best value sushi spots in the GTA. The prices are super affordable, but the quality is way better than you'd expect for the price. Everything tastes fresh, and they have a great variety of rolls, sashimi and sushi. It’s perfect when you’re craving sushi but don’t want to spend a ton. Solid portions, good flavors, and fast service. Definitely one of my go-to spots for cheap and good sushi!

Google
My favourite go-to sushi place for veggie rolls in the area. I have been ordering veggie roll party trays for quite a while now and they have all tasted fresh with PROPER rice to veggie ratio! Only in one instance some of the rolls weren't rolled well and fell apart when picking them up with chopsticks. Pricing is great too - as of 2025, it's $45+tax for 60 veggie pieces! The team is fast and respectful :)

I ordered from this restaurant through DoorDash and the experience was honestly awful. The fish smelled bad right out of the bag and it was clearly not fresh. It had a brownish tint and tasted off. The sashimi came in huge thick cuts that were just unappetizing and hard to eat. I called the restaurant to let them know and the girl who answered the phone had an attitude from the start. She kept repeating that they made it today, which doesn’t mean anything if the fish is low quality. When I asked for a refund, she told me I’d have to bring the food back in person. I told her I ordered through the app and she basically shut me down and said she’s not giving me anything. It was disappointing and frustrating, especially since I only ordered from here because it showed a fast delivery time. I will not be ordering from here again and I hope others think twice. This was not acceptable food quality and the customer service made it worse.

Google
This place has been around for a long time, and really focuses on the efficiency of its takeout line of business. I've been coming here occasionally for about 5 years or so and have never been disappointed. You can get quite a bit of food for a pretty reasonable price, as for $50 you can get a 60 piece tray that includes sashimi. I also appreciated that they read my note to not put any spice on the rolls as my elderly father is not able to eat spicy food, but the lady there was nice enough to give us a small container of the spicy mayo so that we could put some of it on ourselves if we wanted. That was very sweet and I appreciated it. Note that it is debit or cash only.

Google
I ordered online one hour before pick up, on arrival I was told they did not receive the order. Fortunately I need not wait too long for the food. The tray of 30 PCs sushimi supposed to be assortment however 90% was salmon, no tuna . The food is different from the picture shown on its website . Disappointing.

Google
One of the best sushi restaurants I've tasted! The fish is always fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. While the parking slots are limited, the plaza is usually not too busy, so I can usually find a spot. Ordering takeout is convenient, but there are also seats available in the restaurant, making it a great option for a quick meal. Highly recommend.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place where quality sushi is affordable, Ai Sushi comes to mind. my "go-to" is always the 60 piece platter - not too much that you're left holding your stomach but enough that you're willing to share with multiple people. The platter comes with a variety of sushi, including those with raw fresh and those with cooked ingredients. The fish itself is fresh and the salmon is always thickly sliced and fatty. If you plan on getting this, I would recommend phoning ahead and ordering in advance as it does take some time to prepare. The store itself does have a couple of tables for dine-in and is neatly set, but I suspect the majority or customers order for takeout. Overall, relatively quality sushi at a reasonable price - well worth trying.

Yelp
Updated rating since my initial review: 3.5/5 Came back to Ai Sushi after many years and sadly, the quality has declined compared to when it first opened. I've noticed that their party trays aren't as good as they used to be, especially their maki (not rolled as nicely, fish quality can be inconsistent). The Chirashidon has always be my go-to here, and it's still fairly good. However, with inflation contributing to price increases, I don't know if I would say it's still as good of a deal compared to before. Substitutions for items are now charged (reasonably, I would say).

Yelp
Cozy ambiance in a casual atmosphere. It's a quick and easy sushi place in Richmond Hill. Good cut in their sashimi and won't cheap out. Reasonably priced with a good portion in their party trays. I would definitely come back if I crave sushi & sashimi. Recommended.

Yelp
Food 5/5 Service 3/5 Vibe - idk only get takeout 60 piece of all salmon sashimi, sushi and roll for roughly $56-58 which is a very good price! Don't forget to pre-order a couple hours ahead to avoid the long wait lines~ Check out my TikTok for some video content #eatwithclaw

Yelp
Food quality has really gone down and customer service is awful. Not much fish in the platter except fake crabs Avoid

Yelp
Location: This is at Leslie and Elgin Mills road behind the gas station where the bank is. You have to know where the driveway is to find it. It can be a challenge to find the first time. Parking: The parking situation is good. There is lots of free parking! Definitely drive once you know where this place is because the parking stress is minimal! Decor: This is really interesting I haven't seen a sushi place like this before. There's a large low table and a couple of higher tables but it's not a real diamond place the higher tables you can eat at the lower tables I mean you can as well, but it's mostly for people sitting and waiting for their food. This is most definitely a takeout place. The murals are gorgeous. Go to the washrooms because how that's all set up with the wood in the hallway that's pretty as well. The Goods: This is a sushi place. You get sushi and sashimi. There's a spot where you can pick up salads and drinks. I like it. A tip is to call in and then go and pick it up. They can get very busy so if you order in person you might be sitting at that low table for a while waiting for your sushi, which is fine because watching them work is pretty neat they're so busy and they're very efficient. I don't want to brag, because a lot of people got them, but the first month they were open they were handing out VIP cards and I got one. So look for VIP events to see when you get a card it is definitely worth it. Everyone's always been nice to me when I've been there they're patients if you don't know what you want to order. It can be very busy during Prime sushi time and they're still kind and patient. Or at least that's what I found and I used to go here rather often. Like I said call and order and then go and pick it up. That's probably your best bet unless you're going really earlier fairly late. Cost: They have a menu online so you can see the price of things. I find it fairly reasonable for the amount and quality of the sushi. Others must as well because this place is fairly busy. It's actually their second location so they must be doing something right.

Yelp
Sashimi was not good. Salmon was off, didn't eat. Six of the pieces were tiny. Did not finish.

Yelp
This location has been my sushi take out spot for family gatherings/parties. They have decent quality sushi party trays for fair pricing. I always order the assorted tray of 80pcs to 100pcs and they never disappoint! The rolls are huge and sashimis are cut thick! You definitely get your moneys worth when ordering from them. The sashimi is good, but it's not the best quality.. you get what you pay for and it's a quick fix for a sushi craving. Definitely have to call to order and sometimes they can get really busy and may have to call a couple times to get through. Would order again for the next family gathering!

Yelp
First time trying this location, but third time trying in general. I remember I was never a fan of this place, but then I saw the $35 for 40 pieces platter which got me interested. I got there at 6pm and there were lots of take out orders. Cash only if you order via online. Sashimi and sushi were surprisingly fresh, but the rolls were not. The rice had a strong vinegar taste and it was mushy - it didn't taste right. I ended up throwing out the rice. I guess this is why its relatively cheap compared to other japanese restaurants. If I were to come back, I would probably just get the sashimi platter.

Yelp
Tucked away sushi spot Service: Ordered for pick-up and had to wait to for my order, but was relatively simple. The staff confused the price/order at first, but it got sorted out. Food: The sushi/sashimi/roll variety was decent, with a mix of red tuna, salmon, surf clams, and even scallop (which you typically don't find in a platter). However, the rice was a bit firm and bland, which didn't hit the mark of top-notch sushi. Also, there were pieces of imitation crab and california roll which can be seen as "cheaping out". However, the price is fair for what you get, and the seafood was fresh (it helps that the place was really busy, and turnover is high during the holiday season). Overall: Value-for-the-money sushi at a convenient location, bit of a miss on the rice.

Yelp
Big fan of Ai Sushi and a regular to the Markham location for their party trays. Visited the Richmond Hill location to get takeout lunch one day due to convenience. Order two Kaisendons. Was fairly disappointed with the quality. Almost all the sashimi not fresh and the rice was really warm, which made the fish warm too, which was not very appetizing. Would be a 2/5 otherwise but I know they are capable of better based on my experiences with the Markham location.

Yelp
Used to be good and decent price but now ... No more "heart"! Just check the picture of the 30 pieces $36 plus tax (cash only). All 30 pieces squeezed into a little box. Zero presentation. Sorry, this is the last time!
google avatar

Terry C.

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try as the 60pc dinner at $42.00 was a good price, along with the reviews which seemed reasonable. Sorry I did. There was no flavour to the pieces. The fish wasn't of the best quality - stringy. The roll options on the platter were a lot of the cheap ones - cucumber and avocado, fake crab, etc. While the count might seem like a lot, the sushi and roll pieces were small, maybe 1/2 the size of other places. I had to just go through the motion to eat it. This is a been there, done it place. I will not return.

Yelp
I Love Sushi... or Ai Sushi for short?! Perhaps this is the Asian sensation of takeout sushi in the area. It's a huge step above grocery store offerings, and reasonably priced compared to higher end sushi restaurants. Their takeout is now part of our post-grocery routine during this stay home period! First off, the seafood Kaisendon is clear a winner. The fresh pieces of sashimi on rice include Botan shrimp, salmon, tuna, octopus & surf clam. Deluxe version comes with sea urchin & scallop for more umami flavour. If you're craving extra variety, their Chirashidon is similar but has tamago & marinate shiitake mushroom. Generous and quality meal. How about the house rolls? The aptly-named Ai Roll has cuttlefish for a tasty twist with salmon, avacado & a heaping mound of crabmeat. We tried it with Dynamite and Orange Dragon Rolls, which are all satisfying bites. Platters have good value too, but be warned the 40 Rolls Platter ($28) has forgettable fillers. Still its combo of rolls for 2 will fill you up! Ai Sushi may not be as authentic as J-town, but the convenience is hard to beat. Seating area is available for when things return to normal. Typically I make the call, show up in 30 minutes and take out a freshly-made meal within minutes. Easy choice to come for a colourful bowl. Sushi magic happens here!

The food is fresh. The service is great. The ambiance is great. I highly recommend trying their food.

Yelp
Due to the whole pandemic, it's really given the spot light to places that do take out. Traditionally I don't picture take out sushi being very good quality, and I usually avoid it if possible. Dining in is not allowed, but the cravings dont stop. I had heard about ai sushi a long time ago when they first opened and given their pricing plus the fact that it was take out I was never really motivated to give them a try. But after getting a 60 piece platter from here, I think they may have changed my mind on getting take out sushi. Again bear in mind, this is take out sushi so expectations should be kept in check. Having said this though, for take out sushi I was quite pleasantly surprised at the price and the quality level. I have had some experiences where I paid much more and got much less on take out sushi (hence my stigma). But I would not hesitate to come back again in the near future.

Yelp
Stumbled across Ai Sushi on my hunt to support local businesses during lockdown. Still in disbelief at the prices. Ordered 100 pieces of sashimi/sushi for $62, additional 50 pieces of sashimi for $50, and a full tray of uni for $50~. 10% off if paid by cash. I asked the restaurant to split everything in half so I can share between two households which they kindly did. On my end with 4 people eating, 85 pieces was more than enough. The sashimis were cut in generous portions. Everything tasted so fresh. Definitely visiting again!

Yelp
My go-to place for take-out sushi - Small place with a couple of tables that you can sit at for dine in. - i usually order the take out platters. They are good price for quality and quantity you receive. - I like to change the avocado/cucumber roll to a different roll (ai roll is pretty good) for additional cost - they are usually accommodating if you didn't order the platters in advanced - overall I would keep ordering from them, the price is really good for what you get

Yelp
I'm actually so irked right now. The guy running the show here clearly doesn't care about customer service or anything more than selfishly making money. I called in to order takeout today and arrived at my told time for pick up. I was given the wrong order even though the employee had correctly REPEATED my order back to me when I placed it. Good thing I checked the food in the car and was still in the parking lot so I went back inside. Upon telling them of the mistake, instead of apologizing, the supervisor (or what seemed like it since he was wearing street clothes instead of uniform) immediately said he would have to charge me the additional difference for my correct order. That, I'm fine with, but he was being rude. Then, he told the cashier to charge me $6 when in reality, it was a $5 difference + tax. Like really.. that's just downright dishonest. It's clearly not about the money because what's a few cents to me? .. It's his disgraceful attitude of only caring about making money and not about acknowledging the mistake his team made. Furthermore, it took an additional 30 minutes for them to fix my order... Like what the heck?? It was A SINGLE ORDER of hokkaidon. You literally just scoop rice and plop 3 ingredients ontop... You don't even need to torch anything or add any sauce?!?! I was pissed. What's the point of calling in to order ahead of time if I have to wait this long. To wrap up this TERRIBLE experience, I also noticed that the portion and quality of the hokkaidon got MUCH worse since I had it last year, not to mention it was inflated by an extra dollar (now $15.99). I say this without bias but as soon as I opened the box, even my boyfriend could instantly smell the fishiness - the kind that's not fresh. There was only about 1 Tbsp amount of salmon roe which is a HUGE cut from what they used to give. Talking about portions, my boyfriend ordered the Black Dragon Roll and it was literally only 4 pieces.. Geez. I'll never be returning to this location again. Not until they fix their management and attitude because tonight was just downright unacceptable. I'll be warning my friends of this too.

Yelp
Our go-to spot for sushi party trays! Overall quality is consistently fresh, but can range from average to outstanding, hence the 4 stars. Order well ahead of time and expect to still wait when picking up your order because they get swamped with takeout orders.

Yelp
We were here recently to pick up a sushi platter for a get together. Got the 40 piece platter of sashimi, sushi and rolls. We thought the fish was fresh and everything was well made. Flavor was good and pieces were appropriately sized. Service: Everything was ready for pickup though they did charge us regular price despite us showing the VIP so it ended up being fixed when we pointed it out. Will need to come back to try again to finalize score on consistency of food and service.
google avatar

Yelp
Foood was fresh for the price point it is value. Service was quick call in advance to pick up. Store is easy to find and has a few tables for you to dine in but jt is really for grab and go.

Yelp
I've been going to Ai Sushi since they first opened the Richmond Hill location, we even have the 10% off VIP card that they had handed out at the time! (It was a first-come first-serve item). Though they've raised the prices slightly since they first opened (due to inflation and such), they still offer fresh and high-quality sushi at an affordable price, especially their party platters! At every gathering with family and/friends, their sushi trays are always a hit. My personal favorite is their maki tray which offers a beautiful selection of specialty rolls from spicy salmon to red/green dragon to maki with my favorite tempura bits on top! For sashimi lovers, their sashimi platters come with things such as scallop and shrimp sashimi as well, which is not offered at some other sushi shops. As a useful note, they DO NOT put wasabi in their nigiri as a default, so it's great for younger children who may also enjoy sushi. Lastly, service is friendly and staff are well accustomed to be efficient since they always have huge influxes of customers ordering take-out (via telephone for pickup) especially on special days such as Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Yelp
I have been a long time customer of this particular location and tried to give it many chances but it's unfortunately gone downhill since covid. I understand that prices have to go up due to everything going on since but quality has gone down significantly too. In the last 3-4 times I've ordered their platters, I have found bones in my sashimi each time. Today was the last straw as the rice in my rolls was obviously overcooked to the point you could see it was mushy and 3-4 pieces of the spicy salmon roll had fishy, inedible salmon inside. I also ordered the platter via their website for an asap order and it was not ready even after an hour. When I went to pick it up, I was told it was not ready until after I paid. So I stood inside waiting for them to finish... when I noticed they had all the rolls included in the platters pre-made on the counter loosely covered with plastic wrap as they literally took pieces from it to fill my platter. Is this even safe considering a few of the rolls have raw fish? The cashier was also not as friendly as the others that I've been served by and ignored me until he was done doing something on his personal phone.

Yelp
This place is so close to my house, I'm seriously thankful. Whenever we're lazy to cook - Ai Sushi. We always do takeout and I think the prices are more than fair, and the quality is superb. We always go for the platters, and let me just say... 100 pieces for $60 is a killer deal. That's insane in the membrane. The only thing I don't like is how they're never on time. Every time I set a time to go pick it up, we have to wait 15-30 additional minutes and I'm pretty sure they forgot our order once... she was apologetic and gave us a complimentary seaweed salad after seeing how annoyed we were because prior to that, she kept saying it was "almost done" We forgive as soon as we start eating though because the food is soooo good. The fish is fresh and there's not too much rice with each piece. It leaves everyone very satisfied. On the side though, there are limp wasteful pieces with just rice filled with a bit of cucumber.. uhhh? I believe this counted towards the 100 piece count. We aren't too bothered because the rest has already filled us up.. but really? Anyway, super recommend for a yummy take out spot in Richmond hill.

Yelp
Their food quality is good, and the prices are fair. They also have sushi platters available that are cash only and require several hours advanced notice. They only serve sushi related food, so don't expect udon or soups or anything like that. The service here is not good at all, however. The cashier lady seems completely confused both times that I went there. One time I dined-in, and they forgot to give me ginger. I went to one of the guys behind the counter who appeared to be free, and instead of just passing a little container of ginger to me (which was on the shelf behind him), he told me to go to the cashier lady. So, I go to the cashier when she was done with a customer, and she completely ignored me. When she finally acknowledged my request, she just didn't do it... how hard is it to just grab a ginger serving from behind her? Eventually, she fulfilled my request by grabbing the ginger but, instead of giving it to me, she gives it to a customer in line... wtf? This is next level incompetence. My advice, just order takeout, and GTFO. Service is really poor. Also, if you order a party platter, they will store it in the fridge, making the rice harden to some extent. Oh, and the assembly line of employees making sushi behind the counter are constantly talking very loudly with one another, and they don't wear any mouth covers. Enjoy the saliva rain on your meals, folks.

Yelp
Reasonable price and delicious sushi & sashimi, freshly prepared and take-out ready right at the pick-up time I chose. Cheerful staff member. Would definitely return.

Yelp
One of the more reasonably priced sushi restaurants that has good quality. Highly recommended there platters. Make sure you order in advance as they do get busy.

Yelp
I used to go to the McCowan location but now go to this one since I moved. You cannot beat the prices that Ai Sushi has. I've always looked around for more sushi places but each one I've found is not a better deal than Ai Sushi. The sushi is also pretty decent if you are one to like Americanized sushi, which is what I grew up with. I always get the 100 piece sushi and sashimi platter and it is more enough to feed my family of 4 for only ~$70 They are usually super busy so make sure to call ahead of time to pick up your order
google avatar

Sheila C.

Yelp
Still ended up giving this Ai sushi a solid four star rating. Despite my belief that the markham Ai Sushi is better, my last few trips for a sushi platter had come from this location. We ordered the regular $28 roll platter and it has been excellent. Strangely the experience with their maki for the last few times have had perfect rice to ingredient ratios with consistency. Even their middle combo roll that they always place in the middle of the platter, was super. Before these last few times, they had added way too much sauce and made the roll really soggy. I am surprised that the food is up to par with Markham. I will most likely try one more time to see verify their consistency.

Yelp
The 2nd location of Ai Sushi. I am glad they opens another location in Richmond Hill with ample parking. Don't expect high end fish or authentic Japanese sushi at this price point. Perfect to order a tray for pot luck and gatherings. I would order a maki and sushi tray to feed those always hungry teenagers without breaking the bank. Better quality than run of the mills AYCE. Make sure you call way ahead if you want a tray over the weekend to avoid disappointment.

Yelp
Since the prices of this establishment are so low, it truly draws a large crowd in especially for the party trays! You'll typically see a heck of a loat of party trays prepared ahead of time in the fridge because of how many orders they receive. I truly believe that you will not find another place that can offer the same quality at the same price they offer. This review, however, you'll notice, is not for a party tray and that is because we've ordered it so many times that we're a little tired of it. I decided to try something different this time! [Spicy Scallop Roll] $5.99 - I mean, it is what the name says it is haha. I like getting this mostly because I love raw scallops and their take on a spicy sauce :D [Unadon] $10.99 - this is barbecued eel on rice! I believe that for the price you pay, you definitely get your money's worth of eel and for the quality of it. YUM YUM YUM. You have to remember though, at the end of the day, this is primarily a takeout place which is why I haven't mentioned too much about service. Do remember to call in early if you're planning on getting takeout from Friday-Sunday as they are extremely busy due to their unbelievably reasonable prices :D

Yelp
If you know you know! I got the assorted sashimi and sushi roll 40 pieces platter and it is so delicious! Very fresh and tasty. This place is also very affordable, especially with 10% off for cash. It was also prepared very fast because I requested it be done at 12:30 and I arrived 15 mins early with it ready to go. Will probably get some this week!

Yelp
First time ordering from here. It looks like this place has been around for over 2 years...I can't believe that I only discovered this place now! The food was delicious and incredible prices. This location doesn't have cooked food other than the unagi don. Great place if you are only interested in sushi, sashimi and/or rolls. They were extremely busy last Sunday with all the take out orders. I called at 5pm and we were told the order would be ready at 7:30pm. A little late but we decided to go for it. We'll definitely place our order earlier next time. Let's just say everything was "amazing". I still can't believe that I just found this place. The chirashi (raw fish) on rice was so good for only $12.99. And you must try their Ai roll which was delicious and for only $5.99 for 4 huge pieces. I just can't wait to order from here again which will likely be this weekend.

Yelp
I can't even have sushi but my fam gets it all the time tho I gotta admit, their presentations are SHRIMPLY the best

Yelp
Ai used to be fab takeout. The quality has come down significantly in my last 3 visits (I make sure I have given them enough chances to redeem). It is now an average sushi takeout place. Food court quality. They cannot squatter the market in the north end Markham/Richmond Hill no more. Competition will come in.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally decided to order from Ai . Haven't ordered from them since my last review a while back. I wasn't expecting much since previous experiences wasn't great. Surprisingly, quality this time was great! I ordered the chirashi and everything was very fresh. Uni was fresh, salmon was fresh. I enjoyed it very much.

Yelp
I remembered discovering this place last year on Yelp when they first opened their first location in Markham. This new location in Richmond Hill may be missed if you driving down without a gps as it is tucked far inside the CIBC plaza. This new location happens to be close by diagonally to Costco, Home Depot. Just like their first location, this place sells sushi and sashimi at good and affordable price . If you are looking for a Japanese fix at a decent price that won't break your bank, then this place is it!!!! They aren't offering high end sushi but what they offer is enough to satisfy my fish craving. Their 2nd location is slightly smaller than the Markham branch, with fewer high tables. There is only 3 high tables and one lower communal table. If my memory serves me correct, the Markham location gives u miso soup with your sit in order but I am not sure they still do that as I haven't been for a while. No soup is provided with your order at the Richmond Hill location. The water tea station was also non existent but they sell pop drinks. I thought the manager/owner? was attentive at the beginning checking with patrons that were at Ai Sushi, making sure that everyone has been taken care. I was hanging around waiting for my friend to come when the owner came up to check up on me. However, this level of attention and service went out of the door quickly when it got super busy at 6pm, where a massive hoard of people just walk in right after another and just rite after my friend and I just placed the order. The staff was overwhelmed and busy. They are short staffed and definitely need more people to cover the 6 pm to 8 pm dinner rush. How busy u said? The phone was ringing off the hook as no one was able to go answer the call. My friend and I were waiting for our order for the longest time ever. People kept coming in to pickup. At first, we thought they called in ahead to place their order first so ok but as another 15 mins went by, I went to check up on the order cuz no way it would take 30 mins for sushi and sashimi!!! The guy remembered me placing some order but didn't remembered what I ordered. I had to remind him what we ordered. So finally he found the order - it was left sitting there and was ready for ages but because he didn't take neither my name or my friend's, the food was just left there on the counter. He apologised for the delay and offered us free pop but our sushi got soggy. So note to everyone, remember to give your name if they forget to ask for your name at the time you place your order! For the sushi and sashimi, I would suggest going with the individual deluxe (escape my name) or Chirashi as there are better quality sushi and sashimi in those. The sushi sashimi platters are better for bigger groups for sharing. I ended up with a big sushi / sashimi platter($30 for 40 pieces) as my friend couldn't eat Uni, raw shrimps etc. For this week only, this location is giving away a 10% discount vip card that is good for life. Ends Sunday Jan 21! Update: VIP giveaway card has been extended for another week at the Richmond Hill location, good until Jan 28th.

Yelp
Ai sushi provides great value for the price. Love their party trays, they have a wide selection of fish so when you order a larger sushinor sashimi tray it's actually a great variety ( not just your typical salmon, tuna and white fish). I got the 80pc sashimi platter for $80 and it included salmon, tuna, tuna belly, octopus, surf clam, hamachi, mackerel, ika, 6 huge raw shrimp, & scallop. All fresh and flavorful, great quality and value.

Yelp
4.5 Ai Sushi was amazing! Called on a weekend night for takeout and was surprised that there would be an hour wait for my order to be ready. Despite the wait I was eager to try due to the Yelp reviews and price point. The restaurant is very aesthetic - contemporary design, clean and bright! There is seating in the restaurant, but it was practically all full. Not to mention there were a handful of people waiting for their takeout order. The staff were friendly and cashed me out right away, and then my order was ready a few minutes later. The food was incredibly fresh and very tasty. I ordered a bunch of salmon dishes to try - carpaccio, sushi, spicy and avocado salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. All of the food was really fresh and tasty! You can definitely tell when it's good quality fish, and Ai uses good quality ingredients. And the spicy mayo was delish. The portion sizes are decent, but honestly at this price point you can't go wrong! Paid about $26 after tax for 3 rolls, 1 app, and 1 sushi set (2 pieces). I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
My family always orders sushi platter from Ai sushi because of the good quality and price. They only do take out and always busy . Highly recommend to place orders two days in advance during holiday season. For regular days, it would take them around two hours to prepare an order. Cash only

Yelp
There was some odd black gunk inside the salmon. So disappointing. Never go back again

Yelp
Atmosphere/Service: Due to the pandemic, we ordered take out. So we couldn't really evaluate the service or atmosphere. Menu/food: you probably can't find cheaper sushi anywhere else. But when they say you're paying for the quality, I can definitely see where they're coming from. If you want just okay sushi for a quick and easy fix, the food here does just that. There's nothing wow or great about the sushi, sashimi, or roll. Overall: I can see myself coming again and again due to the price. Definitely does the job for a quick fix. But if you're looking for something to really impress your palate, you're better elsewhere.

Yelp
There's no such thing as too much sushi, right? This 40pcs assorted roll platter has so many different rolls. There's spicy salmon roll, California roll, salmon avocado roll, and many others. My favourite roll in the platter is thick and filled with salmon, crab meat, cucumber, and avocado, topped with some tempura bits for extra crunch. Many of the rolls in this platter have salmon inside too. They're offering 10% off take-out if you pay with cash. Overall, this 40pcs platter for under $30 is pretty worth it! Their platters and rolls are pretty reasonably priced for some good quality sushi. It was my first time ordering from here, but now it's one of my new go to sushi spots! Inside the store, there is social distancing in place with markings on the floor. You can call the store early to place the order and then pick it up.

Yelp
AISUSHI 60 piece assorted sashimi-sushi-roll . 5/5 . Super fresh sushi for an affordable price! Comes with an assortment of nigiri, rolls, and sashimi. I LOVE SPICY SALMON SUSHI!! The Markham location only offers spicy tuna rolls, but this time I got a platter from Richmond Hill and there were 6 of each!! . $42

Yelp
We always order their sushi platter for take out and it's usually very good except for a few times i feel like they cut the sashimi thinner than before. Tips: cash only for platter, and there is no longer cash discount.

Yelp
Ai Sushi has been one of my favorite go to places for sushi. Even though it's more of a take out place, my family and I like to eat at the place just because we don't like to do dishes . The sushi is at a very good quality considering the price they sell it at. I usually get the 80 piece rolls to share with my family. The atmosphere is nice and I don't really have many complaints except for the service. The service can be a hit or miss sometimes. Sometimes the cashier lady yells at us for ordering so much or is very snarky, but then sometimes she's super nice like brings us a plastic bag kind of nice. Also I ordered a sliced salmon in some sauce and the salmon was literally still frozen..., but I'd stick to the rolls! My tummy is full and I'm happy. That's all that matters!
