I’m not a wine drinker at all, so I went in with zero expectations, but left genuinely impressed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, explaining everything in a way that felt approachable and never intimidating. It made the whole experience feel relaxed, fun, and intentional, even as someone still learning what they like. They served local award winning wines… 🏆 To my own surprise, I actually found a sparkling white wine I really enjoyed, closer to champagne🥂🍇 (growth, okay!). It felt good to take my time, sip slowly, and really be present with myself. No rushing, no distractions, just vibes, good energy, and a beautiful setting. They had live music which was also a nice touch! And let’s talk about the food because the menu did not disappoint. I chose a pizza, and it was the perfect companion to my tasting —warm, flavorful, and exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Sitting there with good food, good wine, and my own company truly felt like the definition of a perfect solo date. This experience reminded me that you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy something new. Sometimes it’s just about showing up, being open, and allowing yourself to enjoy the moment. AJA Tasting Room is an absolute gem! I met up with friends there this past Friday and was immediately impressed by the cozy, welcoming ambiance, the kind and professional staff, and the live music that made the evening feel extra special. Parking: Finding parking was surprisingly easy (a rare treat in LA!). There’s a parking garage conveniently located right next to the tasting room, so no long walks, confusion, or worries about being late. Tasting Experience: We shared a delicious Cacio e Pepe pizza and each ordered a tasting flight of five wines. The experience was fantastic as our server guided us through each wine, sharing details about the winemaking process and tasting notes with real knowledge and enthusiasm. One of my favorite parts of any wine tasting is learning about the craft and thought process behind each wine, and AJA delivered that perfectly. Favorite Wine: The standout for me was the 2022 Winemaker’s Red Blend. I could’ve easily enjoyed a few more glasses! I’m planning to try the Reds-only tasting flight on my next visit. Notable Mentions: They also sell candles that smell absolutely divine and wine bundles that are perfect for gifts for birthdays or holidays. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. You can tell the team put a lot of care into creating such a unique and inviting space. I can’t wait to go back!

An absolute gem. There is a reason for the overall rating of this establishment. I went here alone and tried the estate flight, and I fell in love with the place, the wines, and the staff. The place is very cozy and homey, with nice lighting and fancy interior. The wines were fantastic, absolute fantastic, even if some might not have suited my palate. And the staff were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I felt so satisfied to be given so much information about the wines and their flavor, as well as information about European wines for comparison; I am from Europe and I predominately drink European wines. I was very sad after being at Aja because I was continuing my trip the day after, so I couldn't come back. However, I am thinking of visiting LA again next year just because of how amazing the Aja establishment is. OPEN ONE IN SWEDEN PLEASE!

We had an amazing time at AJA Vineyards Tasting room. The staff were very welcoming and had us seated right away with no delays. We were pretty hungry from skipping lunch so the snacks they served were an added bonus in the tasting experience. The tasting room itself was beautifully designed and decorated. We tried multiple wines but my personal favorite was the was one of their whites. The host, Amanda, knew so much about the wines and how to pair them as well as the history behind each one. It really made the experience special to hear the backstories of the wine and how it gets to the glass in front of you. We will be back. Best tasting room in Santa Monica!

Had a wonderful visit to this tasting room on a calm weekday afternoon. Was the perfect place to pop in for a glass of wine and chat with the staff and other guests at the bar. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Had the ‘22 Winemakers Red Blend and thought it was fantastic. The bar snacks were delicious, too. Would definitely come back here for a solo glass of wine or with a small group in the evening to try their full tasting flight!

In sunny Santa Monica, AJA Vineyards is shaking up the wine scene with their their award-winning creations. this family-owned business is pouring love & passion into every glass. The place is chic & modern. We wasted no time and picked our tasting options. both had incredible selections like a very buttery sauvignon blanc and rich syrah. Fun fact: AJA stands for Allen, Jack, and Amanda--the Greenbaum kids. I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda who explained so much about the their vineyard, the meaning of the labels and all about the wines. they serve light bites like a Farmers market boards and Chef's board from a restaurant next door called North Italia. everything on both boards were fantastic and paired beautifully with our wines. AJA Vineyards isn't just about great wine; it's about passion, family, and creating unforgettable memories. So Cheers to that!

AJA Vineyards is a must-visit for wine lovers in Santa Monica! Their $45 Estate Tasting Flight includes one white and four red wines, each with fascinating stories. I loved the Sauvignon Blanc from Eds' Vineyard with tropical pineapple notes and the 2013 Syrah's mocha and mushroom flavors, perfectly paired with dark chocolate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the Somm Bomb, a blend of three white wines, was a fun palate cleanser. The Chef Board, with prosciutto, ricotta, and more, paired perfectly with the wines. Perfect for a Galentine's outing, date night, or relaxing with friends. Highly recommend!

A great selection of amazing wines. Amanda was lovely, knowledgeable and helped explain everything to me. I've recently become a regular here after watching Drops of God and it's my local spot. Great chefs board too

I've been a regular since October when it opened and I couldn't be happier to see AJA pop off the way it has. It's truly one of a kind in all of LA but especially Santa Monica. Perfect date spot or first or last stop of the night with friends. Lighting is romantic at night and during the day it's bright and welcoming. Some standouts include: the rose - I never like rose but this is the best! named after the winemaker's mom Syrah 2016 - just the perfect syrah but really all of them are wonderful!! Shanne is one of my favorite servers, but shout out to the whole family that runs this place. They're all so sweet and love supporting a fam business like this.

Couldn't recommend this place more! Amanda is absolutely lovely, the service was wonderful and the wine was even better! Amanda serves these mini chocolates with the wine and it's such a yummy pairing with the red flight. I also love the atmosphere and consistently bring my friends here for our wine Wednesdays! Highly recommend bringing your girls for the vibes and all the wine! Would also recommend for a cute date spot!

Delicious wine, beautiful tasting room and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed our flights and the ambiance so much, we went to a later showing of Wicked.

I never leave reviews but the woman here, Amanda, was so rude. Repeatedly made rude remarks about how fast I was drinking my wine?? lol also *tossed* as in threw at me, a piece of chocolate but handed it over to my boyfriend-- he looked like wtf too..better customer service and wine available for the price

Can't recommend Aja more. It's owned by an incredible family, run by an extremely knowledgeable woman, Amanda, and has great wine! I had the rosé tonight which was perfectly summery and refreshing. The ambiance and decor inside are beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and the location couldn't be more perfect! Cheers to having a tasting room nearby!

Had a chance to try the tasting room out before its official opening and it was an incredible experience! I opted for the wine flight which featured 4 of their wines at a reasonable price. The somm behind the bar knew her stuff as she gave us the rundown on each varietal! We even got a little shot to "cleanse our pallet" before the tasting PLUS a piece of dark chocolate with the last red - such a cute touch! The space is comfortable, premium and inviting. It's in the perfect location near some of our favorite Santa Monica restaurants. Excited for the tasting room to officially open so that we can make this our new hangout!

Love, love, love this place, great wine! Red blend my fav. Affordable and they have a wealth of knowledge about each wine. Bright and inviting. I can't wait to go back.. get the flight.. so affordable.. oh n love the chips! ;P

The staff was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly which made my visit great. The place was very clean and organized. Highly recommend the margarita pizza with the wine.

Amanda gave me the history of her family owning vineyards and finally opening up their own wine bar! Congrats to the family owned business! Fantastic vibe everybody working really knows the history and loves the family. The music is fantastic and comfortable. Can't thank them enough for a wonderful experience!

Attended the grand opening tonight! Beautiful space and so brilliant to open the first winery tasting room in Santa Monica. Hopefully a trend will start where more wineries open tasting rooms on the Promenade or 2nd Street. I tasted the Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc and the Extra Brut and they were both excellent. So excited to introduce my friends and family to the tasting room!

Beautiful setting by Santa Monica promenade. Lovely white flowers everywhere. I enjoyed the flight of their wine collection and joined the wine club! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

A group of us met before dinner at Water Grill down the street and had a great time. The place is not so loud so you can have a real conversation. The decor also creates a comfortable vibe. We enjoyed the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc which had a great balance of fruits and went down very smoothly. We did not want to leave and will definitely return in the future.

Not a huge wine person but went in and the employees were SO helpful to find something I liked. A great addition to SAMO and easy parking. A+++!

so glad there's finally a tasting room in Santa Monica! The room is inviting and warm and spacious. The staff is top notch (very knowledgeable and the wine is excellent. We even became members. The white wines, red wines and rose were all so delicious we bought a few of each. I would recomend this place to everyone. It's truly a beautiful experience.

My experience at AJA was absolutely amazing. The moment I walked in I felt transported into a beautiful wine cave haven with its decor of natural stone and wood elements. One of the prettiest tasting rooms I have ever visited! The wine is excellent with different options to choose from plus they have delicious charcuterie boards with vegetarian options. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. All of this while being a block from the beach in Santa Monica! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious wine in the most gorgeous setting - you will not want to leave!

Wow! What an inviting environment to relax and enjoy local wines with friends! Santa Monica is filled with so many super hectic places where you feel you need to "hurry". Finally a place you can breathe and want to stay! Even better....it tastes like Malibu wines have come into bloom. The staff will share interesting tidbits about each pour and the good news---each of the 4 in the flight were wanting me to ask for more. If you are in the neighborhood definitely check it out, if you're not it's a great reason to go. Look forward to going back!

My daughter and I went to AJA tasting room this weekend and we were blown away how amazing this new wine room is. From the friendly staff to the beautiful decor to the amazing varietal wines it was the perfect spot to go before we headed to dinner. I highly recommend going and can't wait to go back again.
