Yelp
Great experience if you're seeking premium take out sushi. I'd compare this most closely to Yuba by the Shota, which is long gone after the pandemic. Anyway, I'm glad this place exists. There isn't really a great high quality take-out only sushi spot out there, and this restaurant fits the bucket. It's only take out though, no sit down, not even a place to sit after you order.
I came here on a Tuesday at 10:50am, and I was the first one in line. However the line quickly formed behind me, and by the time I left, there were 10 people in line. It did seem quick to move though. They actually were late in opening, closer to 11:03, but they did give us hot tea while we were waiting in the freezing cold shade, a nice bonus! The staff is very helpful, and they give you very explicit directions on when to pull out your sushi from the fridge, or when to eat it. He asked me if I was eating for lunch or dinner, and when I said lunch, he said, "Eat it within 15 minutes." For the best taste, I'm guessing. Pretty nice.
I got the Omakase, Tekka don, and Bara Chirashi. The staff told me (without me even asking) that the Omakase ($54) is their most popular item, which sells out the quickest, so of course I felt compelled to buy it. It was nice - ten pieces of nigiri, plus 6 pieces (3 types, 2 each) of the small cut roll. They also give you a little menu of each of the fish, and tell you from top left corner, etc. so you know exactly what you're eating. We also got the Tekka Don ($32), which was delicious - two different types of tuna, big slabs, nicely sliced, I believe one was a Chu-toro, and other Otoro, 8 pieces total, over a large satisfying bed of sushi rice. Lastly we got the Bara Chirashi ($36), which was a myriad of cut up fish over a bed of sushi rice. My husband loved the Omekase, which I didn't try. He felt the quality was really there, and you could tell. Out of the Tekka and Bara that I tried, I thought the Tekka was more interesting, surprisingly. The Tekka Don was just very silky, and yes, you could really taste the quality. The Bara Chirashi was also good, but just seemed like the ends of the sushi, that were all the last pieces at the end after all the Omakase plates were made, and used to make the Chirashi, like a fried-rice catch all. It was beautifully presented though, and still good.
The inside if the restaurant is very minimalist and modern, and therefore very calming. I liked it. Just plain and simple. Some suggestions would be for their website - there isn't one. I wanted to look ahead to their menu, but there simply wasn't one. I had to look at these weird pictures on Yelp that had a glare - not the best. For your reference, this is what they sold below. I don't know if this is everyday, or just the day I happened to be there though.

Honestly everything looked pretty good, the ones I'd like to try next time are the Sake Don since I love salmon, and the Hand Roll.
Would say this is a great gift for a babysitter, or if you need to spend a night in celebrating something. Or, if you just happen to be off on a weekday like me, and want to splurge on a nice lunch - by all means!
