The Essential Guide to Osaka, Japan

"Ajikuraya is a must for okonomiyaki—thin batter mixed with shredded cabbage and your choice of pork, beef, or seafood, grilled tableside and finished with mayonnaise, sweet sauce, and powdered seaweed—with six different okonomiyaki sauces and 20 toppings to experiment with, tables that seat up to six, and a recommended tonpeiyaki to share (grilled pork belly wrapped in an omelette)." - Kim Kay Kim Kay Kim Kay is a freelance writer with a focus on Japan travel and culinary culture. The menu is variable. Tasty omelete. If you order yakisoba, better to have it as fast as possible because the noodle harden up quickly on pan. client service was good, they are very welcoming. We came around 3-4PM and did not have to wait at all.

Trying out different okonomiyaki place than my regular go-to as that one apparently wasn’t open on Wednesday. We did walk in for dinner and fortunately still could get seats despite the venue was busy. Obviously we’d expected to get the food scent stayed with us as stuffs were cooked to order live at the counter. They required each guest to order a set, which for me ended up being bit too much although they claimed it as smaller size than the full one. Out of the set, the yaki udon was bit too sweet for me and I couldn’t really eat the appetizer as it featured innards. I did love the okonomiyaki especially the fact that it’s served with another sunny side up on top. It was well-seasoned and stuffed with overflowing seafood! Overall I would say I still preferred my favorite spot in town, located in Dotonbori, but would call this one worth trying if you wanna explore something different. If you could, reservation was certainly suggested given how busy they could turn.

Been seeing a lot of hype for a particular okonomiyaki place in Osaka and I wanted to see if it was real. I’m not the biggest okonomiyaki fan but whenever I’m in Osaka I have to try it out. This place served the best one I’ve had so far in Osaka. Their yakisoba and hormone with green onion and chili oil wasn’t too bad either. Definitely recommend making a reservation and come when they open to avoid crowds.

I came by around 6:30 in the evening and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait at all. I ordered both the okonomiyaki and the yakisoba to try a bit of everything. The food does take some time to prepare, so I would recommend ordering as soon as you sit down and just enjoying the atmosphere while you wait. Out of the two dishes, I personally liked the yakisoba more since it had a great balance of flavor and texture. The okonomiyaki was still tasty, but the yakisoba stood out for me. One thing I really appreciated was that they had bottles of sauce on the side so you can adjust the flavor to your own liking. They also had a big container of katsuobushi, which was a nice touch because you can add as much as you want. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, the food was satisfying, and I would be happy to come back again to try more items from the menu.

The Okonomiyaki here was absolutely delicious. It was cooked to perfection, with a nice crispy exterior and a soft, flavorful inside. The combination of ingredients was well-balanced, and the sauces added just the right amount of tang and sweetness. Each bite was satisfying and left me wanting more. The portion size was generous, making it a great value as well. The friendly atmosphere of the restaurant made the experience even better. I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area to enjoy this dish again.

Vibe is amazing. Staff are kind and lovely. Loved every minute of being here. However the taste - don’t get me wrong, its absolutely delicious, but it didn’t feel like a real okonomiyaki. Its something else of its own. It has so much ingredients inside it that it breaks on its own. I dont know how to explain it. You should go and try it out yourself.

I made a reservation and visited. It was so delicious that I'm curious about all the other menus. I will definitely recommend it to my acquaintances visiting Osaka

I recently visited Osaka for business and my japan partner reserved this nice Teppenyaki restaurant. They have Okonomiyaki and other seafood. I think their food is very delicious! The price is reasonable. I will definitely visit it again.🥰👍
