The food at Akakiko was genuinely good, fresh and nicely prepared. Unfortunately, the service was a huge letdown. Our waiter was very cold and unapproachable, and there was a serious language barrier as he didn’t speak English well. I didn’t feel welcomed or properly treated, which took away from the overall experience. Great food, but sushi not tasty, but definitely the worst service we’ve had in Vienna.

Personally, not a huge fan of sushi. So we went there because my friends wanted sushi and we were all positively. The sushis were fresh and delicious. My friend who is a connaisseur said that the fried sushi was not so good as they just added fried onion on top of it. But for me it was nice! Good price quality ratio.

I have never been to Japan. But I know I like the idea of their food, probably doesn't taste the same in the native land. This little restaurant was however good and we got what we ordered in good time. Waiters were a bit short with us but we had heard before the trip that that can be the case in many restaurants. The food was tasty but they could have explained that the beef was going to be deep fried. For what you get it is a bit pricy but hey it's the center of a capital city.

Finally got around to try the famous Korean Corn dog which honestly did not disappoint. It was equally tasty and filling enough to keep me for a few hours. Also, the owner was very nice. Wish I had more time to try others but given the queues and all the people eating around, I bet the other offerings were equally good.

I am used to go to Akakiko everywhere in Vienna but this branch is really dissapointed The menu that I order : Chicken sesame come very quickly, around 5 min and it is hard to eat, not fresh cooked. When I ask the waiter whether it is freshly cooked, she said : yes.🤔 No more visit to this place..better Akakiko in Singerstrasse.

Corn dog is not good. Worker seems so rush and quick even there is no people behind us. Cant stay if you just buy corn dog, no people sit in store that time.

Yelp
This restaurant was actually really close to a 5 stars rating, there are two things that kept it from it... more on that later... first the good stuff I had crispy chicken rolls for the appetizer. These were amazing, usually, the ones I get at other places have a thick oily dough. These had a pleasant filling, and the dough was thin, not oily, and fried golden brown. Delightful. I also had maki, which is where the less-than-perfect review comes in. Maki had high-quality fish, and other fillings, and were made fresh... but it comes down to the rice. I know that when sushi and maki are made, part of the preparation for the rice involves rice vinegar. Unfortunately, these had too much rice vinegar used in their preparation. The rice tasted too much like the rice vinegar. Also, the prices in this place are a little steep. I get that it is in the first district, and is a chain, but I still felt like 1 euro per roll (either fried or Maki) was excessive.

Yelp
Good quality and fair prices. Good for a quick lunch. The design of the restaurant is great. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled by this place after we were rejected from Figlmüller due to no capacity. We were really really hungry and decided to come here. The service was lacking (as is in much of this part of Europe, so I cannot mark any stars for that) but the waiter was friendly and accommodating. The prices are a bit pricey for what we had and the bill gave us quite a shock. Although I must say we ordered a lot of food for two girls, but a €60 bill at an Asian takeout place is quite shocking. A good place to satisfy your Chinese/Japanese food cravings as the food was good, but I am sure you can find a bit better prices for Chinese food in the area if you look a bit harder.

Yelp
I had the fried rice and miso soup to go. The soup was nice but the rice wasn't good. Sticky and lacking fresh vegetables. However, not as bad as the noddles in the asian place in the Rotenturmstraße passage which was unedible. Was thinking about trying out the sushi but it was really spendy. service was ok.

Yelp
Although the prices in Akakiko are sightly more expensive than many other sushi places in Vienna I still would recommend it. The food looks and tastes good and the menu is extensive with a lot of different sushi sets or hot food. I think it would be good for someone who is new to sushi. I also like the friendly staff at this one :) If you don't have time to sit in, you can get take away too.

Yelp
There are half a dozen Akakiko in Vienna, but I like this "tiny" one. The arrangement of the furniture and the friendly staff makes me feel like in I am in any other Asian restaurant. You'll have no surprise regarding the food: it is as good as any other. Quite an Europeanised Asian food for a decent price; but the quality is there! The menu is very extensive, with a large choice to please everyone. The meals and soups are tasty, not the best sushis I had in town but I would recommend the bento box: an entire menu on one plate, quite generous and with several meals at once.

Yelp
A-OK. Apparently Akakiko is known as the "fast food sushi of Vienna". Place is fine, nothing special, seating is fine. Philipino waitress was nice, didn't push us around to order or get out, but then maybe left us a bit too much on our own. Rather that though than push us out, which they could have done, as we were the last people there that night. Food was fairly quick. Miso soup was good, around 3.50 and I didn't need sushi after (was quite filling). Figured out later though it must have been a bit on the salty side cause I was super thirsty. Had 8 pieces what they call sushi there (longer rectangular pieces rice topped with salmon), and 4 pieces mishi or whatever its called, which are the little roll pieces of sea weed with rice with salmon in it. Rice was a bit dry for sushi, and not specially tasty. Salmon was ok, but did not seem like the freshest fish out of the ocean (but not old nor disgusting). Paid 17 Euros (not including tip) for soup and dish, which is not great for what it was. Bathroom: I think its a shared on in the building. Go to the back of the room, down the stairs. Was fine, clean enough. Overall: Well. Go for the miso soup. Then go on with your life.

Yelp
The food was alright, prices were expensive for the food that we had. I came with my parents and two sisters who are visiting Vienna for the first time from Canada, so 5 of us in total. We were having a seemingly fun evening, laughing and joking around. While waiting for dessert, we decided to play a round of cards. Something that we do to pass the time when traveling from place to place. Apparently, we were having "too much fun" that the manager had to come to us and tell us that card playing wasn't allowed and we had to put it away. We were also one of the last few groups in the restaurant towards the end of the night (9pm or so), so the night was definitely winding down. Killed the mood, even though we ended up spending close to €100, will not visit this restaurant again.

Yelp
Great food, much better than you'd think from a chain store! Also, they do takeaway and seal the meals so it's still fresh when you get home
