We done in this restaurant on 5/8/2025 for lunch. Great service with excellent ambience but food was just OK. We had Biryani which was excellent. Grill item was good too. But Chicken korma looks like it was Kari or Daal. Taste was not that great either.

Food: Paneer Tikka ( Sizzler ) was the BEST! Served complementary fried papad with mint chutney. Palak paneer was awesome too-great taste and flavor with a ton of soft paneer chunks. Medium size quantity. Rose lassi was ok - I would avoid. Service: fast service Atmosphere: expect to hear good loud indian music on large screens indoors or you can find seating outside. Parking: limited free parking available outside or good luck finding paid street parking :)

Well, this is the second time coming here in order to make a change from all the other types of food in Miami Beach and it was very good again. The service is very friendly and professional, and they take the time to explain dishes that aren’t very familiar with most Americans. We would definitely recommend this place and intend to come back here again sometime in the future.

Exceptional and attentive server with detailed knowledge of ingredients. Food exceeding expectations. Good value - little as $8 for soup to more elaborate sizzling paneer for 19… free spiced papadam and chutney while they cook… can see the kitchen on the way to bathroom via glass wall- looked tidy …

We were preparing to leave Miami and head back to Tampa, but before starting our journey, we wanted to enjoy a good lunch. After searching for nearby restaurants and reading some reviews, we decided to dine at Akash Miami Beach, which appeared to be a promising choice. We were fortunate to find parking right in front of the restaurant, making it convenient for us to head in. Upon entering, we noticed the restaurant was nearly empty, and we were promptly seated at our table. Since we had an infant with us, we ordered Dal Tadka with Rice specifically for him, along with a Mango Lassi to accompany the meal. For the rest of us, we ordered a variety of dishes, including Chicken Lollipop, Chicken Malai Kebab, Kadhai Chicken, Akash Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, and additional Mango Lassi. The service was quick, and we first received the Dal Tadka with Rice and the Mango Lassi. The Dal Tadka was flavorful and comforting, resembling home-cooked dal, which made it perfect for our infant. He enjoyed it thoroughly. The Mango Lassi was refreshing--not overly sweet, which suited our taste preferences perfectly. Next, we received the appetizers, which included Chicken Malai Kebab and Chicken Lollipop. The Chicken Malai Kebab was a highlight--tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with a rich and creamy taste that we thoroughly enjoyed. However, the Chicken Lollipop fell short of expectations. It was overly colored, leaving red stains on our hands, and the flavor did not make up for its appearance. Finally, the main course arrived, which included Kadhai Chicken, Akash Chicken Curry, and Garlic Naan. Unfortunately, both chicken curries were disappointing. The dishes were overly colorful, and the flavors seemed off. It was evident that the tadka (seasoning) made with onions and tomatoes had not been properly cooked, and the use of tomato sauce as a shortcut was apparent and concerning. The lack of authentic taste and preparation was a letdown. While the Dal Tadka and Chicken Malai Kebab stood out as enjoyable, the rest of the meal did not meet our expectations. The excessive use of coloring and underwhelming flavors in the curries overshadowed the dining experience.

One of the best Indian restaurants in South beach, Miami, FL area. Biryani's and chicken appetizers are worth trying. The vegetarian options were not too bad. The owner was very friendly!!

From the moment I arrived, the hotel's ambiance captivated me with its elegant decor and inviting warmth. The dining experience was a highlight; each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and presented with artistic flair. The staff's attentive service and the cozy, yet sophisticated setting made every meal memorable. Whether it was the delectable breakfast spread or the gourmet dinner offerings, the quality and taste consistently exceeded expectations. This hotel seamlessly blends exceptional cuisine with a charming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for any traveler seeking both comfort and culinary delight.

Yelp
First time trying 'Akash' Indian Restaurant in Miami Beach in February 2025. My first impression was the naan, it tasted so yummy. The chicken was a little spicy but also good and the rice was good as well. The service was good too & the environment was good as well. Definitely would recommend this place to people I know who haven't tried Indian food. #getyaindianfoodon #indianfood #miamifl #miamibeachflorida #indianrestaurant #yum

Yelp
Fantastic! Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Miami. Ordered the Akash curry with lamb. The lamb was sooo tender. The chicken tikka as well! The chicken very tender. The vegetable biryani is probably the best I've ever had. And I loved the spinach paneer so much. The naan stuffed with coconut was such a delight as well.

Yelp
These are NOT my best pictures but I had to show what the to-go order really looked like. I'm sad I didn't discover this place sooner. Nice family feel to the restaurant and staff. Bollywood videos playing while you wait to pick up. I love it. Mango Curry was by far my fav but all three dishes we ordered to share family style were delicious. Creamy, rich and flavorful sauces. Mild heat on everything (because I'm a baby) and plenty of rice and naan to clean your plate. Don't think there's much else to say - I obviously recommend giving this spot a call.

Yelp
Great food and fantastic service. Take out is always quick too. Careful with the spice as of you are not family with Indian food spicy is outrageously spicy. We usually go medium and I feel like we can handle spicy food generally.

Umair R.

Yelp
My review is based on the food and the service only. Ambiance is ok. Food: We got the chicken tikka masala. The chicken was cooked from frozen and had a very rubbery, dry texture as expected from frozen. The curry was probably the worst I've ever had. The color looked unnatural. Daal Tadka was ok, although a little too watery for me. Service: Horrible. One server on the entire restaurant floor. We were sitting for 15 mins before someone took our order. When the check came, they didn't even ask me for the tip and added 18% without my consent!! I heard the table next to me mention something about that too. The server took over the credit card terminal and didn't give me an opportunity to review anything! Will be disputing with my bank. Very sneaky business.

Yelp
It had been a while since I had Akash but I recently ordered it twice and it was so so good and fresh! I always order delivery and food gets here fresh and warm. My order remains the same - mango lassi, garlic naan, vegetable korma (with basmati rice), and vegetable samosas. Their portions are generous. Prices are a little high but definitely worth the treat. If I ever need to call about my order, staff is nice! Definitely one of my favorite places in Miami Beach!

Yelp
When you think of Miami, and specifically South Beach, Indian food is not the cuisine which comes to mind. However this place will change you mind. The food was excellent. Flavors and textures layered. Spices added to enhance the taste not just thrown in to make it spicy or crank up the heat. We didn't get too adventurous since this was our first time here. The chicken tikka masala was one of the best we've had anywhere. As was the naan. Service was on point. Ordering to meal presentation was was quick, but not so fast you think they had it in warmer back in the kitchen. Trust, the taste gave away they didn't. The decor and ambiance is pure South Beach. All in white, minimalistic, sleek clean lines. Lighting washes which remind you of the club. Not your typical Indian restaurant that goes all in on the Indian theme. With requisite pictures of the Taj Majal. This place leans into the food. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Had the chicken tiki masalla and the mango curry. Both were the best I've had in Miami.
google avatar

Log V.

Yelp
Adding Indian spices liberally doesn't make a dish Indian. Low lighting made it difficult to figure out if the restaurant was neat especially given that the table was sticky. To top it off prices will make you realize you are in south beach even if one forgets.

Varun J.

Yelp
The food is good, but be careful of their shady upcharges - 18% minimum gratuity regardless of party size, 4% surcharge for credit card payment, 9% sales tax (other places in the neighborhood seem to charge 7-8%). This feels like a scam.
google avatar

Eric G.

Yelp
Just not very good. Everything was watery. Not thick and creamy. The flavor was bland. I ordered onion pakora and it was way over battered and not crunchy at all. Chicken dish was meh. Again, soupy. The naan was the best part. But that's about all that was worth eating to be honest.

Yelp
When you order all the time and work all the time and finally have a window......where do you go? best Indian in SOBE.

Yelp
Had dinner at Akash last week and we were surprised at how good it was! Service is excellent. Everyone is very friendly and our food came out quickly. Ambiance is nice. We sat outside since the weather was great, and while we were actually sitting near (in?) the parking lot it was still pleasant. Food is actually quite good. Aloo gobi is a 10/10, daal is an 7/10 (we found it quite liquidy), rice is good, and the roti and naan were also a 10/10. Prices are reasonable and we'll definitely return if in the area.
google avatar

Michele D.

Yelp
My favorite Indian restaurant! Everything is so flavorful but my favorite is the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Neetu D.

Yelp
Clean restaurant and kitchen is clean . They have options for vegans and vegetarians. The nan has no egg . The palak paneer was good . Service was good . They add 4% to use a credit card which was not mentioned in the Menu . Never heard of a restaurant doing that .
google avatar

Yelp
I order from here all of the time it is hands down the best Indian food and I have lived in a bunch of big cities!

Yelp
One fine day in Miami. Friends traveling from different states decided to have some good Indian food. On recommendation from one of ex-employee at Akash we decided to enjoy lunch there. The ambience was beautiful, clean and following all the necessary norms with respect to Covid19. The manager at restaurant was very nice and greeted us all. Thank you for the hospitality. And so does the servers, the staff was quick and acknowledging. Coming to the food, we had order a good amount of food. Starting with the appetizers, we ordered Samosas which has a tasty fillings and chicken lollipop which was tasty too. For the main course we had ordered paneer makhani, shahi vegetable korma, goat masala and bread. Paneer makhani was nice, but shahi vegetable korma was very mild and feels like salt was missing. I don't have goat masala but my friends were happy with the taste they got in goat masala. Also, they have Indian kingfisher beer which I haven't had in very long time so it felt nostalgic. For the dessert we ordered pista kulfi which was okay! Again, thank you for the hospitality. All the best to the team Akash!

Laura B.

Yelp
Excellent service and food was very delicious. I had guava margarita's , followed by naan , vegetable biryani and a yummy curry dish. Everything came out really fast
google avatar

Tamara S.

Yelp
[Delivery] We ordered Samosas, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken and Tika Masala. The samosas were great! However, the other two dishes were extremely sweet (which isn't normal for these dishes) and the peppers and onions were completely raw.

Achyut ..

Yelp
Nice ambiance but food is average. They have the advantage of being the very few of Indian places if not only the place on Miami Beach.
google avatar

Haris S.

Yelp
Went to Akash for lunch with my wife. Food was great. Service was really on point. All the staff was really nice and everything was fast and efficient. Owner was present too and he approached us and introduced himsel. He showed genuine care and wanted to make sure we were having a great experience. I would definitely recommend Akash to everyone that likes Indian food!
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
I'm very impressed with the quality of their food not to mention the cleanliness of the restaurant and you can clearly see how clean the kitchen is as you walk towards the bathrooms you can see through some large windows facing the entire kitchen. My recommendation is the tika chicken and their curry's , also their lamb chops are out of this world ! We drive from afar to get to this restaurant but it's definitely a worthy effort. Also the owner Raj is very personable and makes you feel right at home as he does his rounds from table to table.
google avatar

Natalia O.

Yelp
Food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. I love a good Indian cuisine and Akash hit every single thing I look for. The service was phenomenal; the waiter was very attentive and educated us on the plates available. The ambiance is quaint and cozy and makes for a great date night.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the best Indian food available on South Beach by far. Always FRESH and wholesome. The flavors are authentic, and the family style servings are abundantly delicious. Its a perfect place for sharing and the best value for your money possible.... They have a great selection of Indian and American beers and wines as well. The owner Govind always on site is friendly, honest and welcoming. I have been coming here since they opened, and highly recommend Akash for dine-in or carry out Indian food. They are also very accommodating with deliveries. COVID UPDATE: Akash has a huge umbrella and cooling fans, so outdoor dining al fresco is cool and comfy here! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! lets keep them in the neighborhood my peeps!!

Yelp
Amazing Indian food in Miami! Authentic Indian food, great service, friendly and accommodating staff-- truly can't go wrong
google avatar

Naren K.

Yelp
We ordered Chicken Biryani, which was good, Naan was ok, Kashmiri Naan was too sweet, Mango lassi was overpriced, Chicken curry was good. Total Bill should have been about 108 $ based on menu, but was presented as 125 $, not sure why. Waiter pushed us to sign the bill before we could finish the food and see the details. This is not standard practice and disrespectful to customers. Waiter said we need to give numbers to boss by 3.00, We were there for a good lunch experience not to please his boss. This is the nonsense, I ever heard. So along with good food, service needs to be upscaled to win customers and get good real ratings
google avatar

Yelp
Food - 4/5 Service-5/5 Ambience-4/5 Bit small restaurant but certain food which we tried where good. Paani poori was not that great. Paani didn't have the flavour or the taste. Poori is very different than usual. Tikka , Garlic Naan and Panner Naan are good. Spinach was bit less in salt. Verdict- Worth trying

Yelp
Authentic delicious restaurant. I always have the best experience, been there for over 5 times... great neighborhood restaurant, the best flavors and simple and convenient. Easy street parking, can't wait to go back again or order to go (which I also do on regular basis) Best authentic Indian in Miami Beach
google avatar

Rupa N.

Yelp
I came here twice and the first time the service was on point and food arrived fast and tasty, that was also on a late Friday evening. I came here on a Thursday evening last time and service was incredibly slow and the food wasn't as tasty as the first time. If the service and food is like the first time and this restaurant is great. Both times I ordered paneer makhani and garlic naan. The second time the sauce was much more red and less makhani like. The menu is limited compared to other Indian restaurants so keep that in mind. Otherwise, this is a solid option in Miami Beach.
google avatar

Hanna S.

Yelp
The food is amazingly delicious and original Indian taste! The smell of spices will pull you in from the street. The very nice staff were great at anticipating what would work for us. Tikka Masala was one of the best we've ever had. The food was incredible and serving sizes were very generous. We will be back again.
google avatar

M N.

Yelp
Authentic Indian flavor and spice. They don't take reservations so we had about a 15 minute wait upon arrival. Clean interiors and quick service. Very small portion of onion bhaji appetizer. Good size portions of all mains. Dal Makhni was very good. Chicken tikka and mutter paneer were ok. All in all, would come back if in the mood for Indian food.
google avatar

Hannah D.

Yelp
**AVOID DOUBLE TIPPING - gratuity not disclosed like most restaurants** I ended up tipping almost 40% and didn't even get to finish my dessert. Everything was fine until the end. Other than the Tikka Masala being sweeter than expected, the food was good. Waiters were attentive. But then, we were finishing up at 9:45, while posted hours were until 10:30, and they proceeded to clean up our table while we were still working on dessert! Literally moved the bowl out from under my hand holding the spoon. While paying, they didn't give me an itemized receipt - it was electronic, with only the total amount and a tipping option. Because I felt so rushed, I didn't realize until later driving home, when I added it up mentally, that 18% gratuity had been added to our bill before it was presented to me for my signature - with options to add a *minimum* of 18% on top!! Given the way things ended, even my intended 18% would have been generous. Be very careful. When looking at an itemized receipt, you can check for included gratuity, but they did not give me the privilege.
google avatar

Jen T.

Yelp
Butter chicken, garlic Nan. A bit pricey, but the best on the beach if you are craving Indian food.

Mittu M.

Yelp
This place was a gem. After traveling around Florida for a week, this place hit all the right spots. Delicious food. Clean restrooms. The owner is very friendly. Do visit if you are craving good Indian food! Will come again when we are in the area.
google avatar

Tracy A.

Yelp
The service and food was outstanding! The goat biryani and chicken tikki masala were both delish. The garlic naan is a must . The spicy chana (ordered that way) was enjoyed by my husband. we will definitely return. For a small restaurant, it was packed on the Thursday night we dined. We opted for outdoor dining, and the ambience was just right. Highly recommend for authentic Indian cuisine.
google avatar

Yelp
Very yummy!!!! Def check it out if your on Sobe craving Indian food. Generous portions. Great quality. And lovely staff!

Charlie G.

Yelp
I've eaten here before and decided to order the same thing I've had before because the first time it was really good and a lot of food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and basmati rice. The rice was a huge portion, which would have been good if the tikka masala matched. It basically came with 6 small pieces of chicken and didn't even come in the sauce it usually does. I spent almost $40 on dinner when it wasn't even what I wanted. Usually I have enough for 2 meals because it's supposed to be a decent size, but for some reason ordering it they didn't try at all.
google avatar

Vamsi S.

Yelp
Akash Indian Restaurant delivers delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. The flavors are authentic, and the service is great. A must-try for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine!
google avatar

Sona K.

Yelp
This place is pretty basic for Indian food. If you want authentic food you may have to leave the island but this will make do if you are within the vicinity of Miami Beach. The food is slightly expensive for the quality so be mindful of that, we ordered basic Punjabi food and it was pretty run-of-the-mill and standard.

Adam G.

Yelp
This is hands down, the very best Indian food in all of south Florida!! (and they have amazing vegan options)

Shaji K.

Yelp
Really bad Indian food. The paneer dish and the chicken dish both were terrible, paneer was hard, the chicken pieces were undercooked. Basmati rice was all clumped together. Would not recommend this place if looking for good, authentic Indian food.

Kevin P.

Yelp
The food was excellent. The ambience was pretty fancy. It's a very new cool look. The service was perfect. Very nice people. Would eat here again. Great for vegetarians.
google avatar

Ashok P.

Yelp
Last week while visiting Miami Beach with friends, we had lunch in this restaurant. We had a great experience all around. The place was very clean, and the ambience was great. I enjoyed the food so much as it was freshly cooked with unfrozen meat and perfect balance of spices. I had Tangdi kabab and Chicken biryani. Both dishes were bursting with flavor. Next time I'm in Miami Beach, I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Krishnapallavi V.

Yelp
Most dishes were really good. Especially vegetarian. Some recommendations are onion pakoda (v.good), biryani, Tikka masala, dal tadka, palak paneer, amritsari fish, rasamalai.
google avatar

Derrick R.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was great and friendly. If you see a lot of Indian people in an Indian restaurant? Then that's a good sign... I really recommend this place.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
I've ordered several times from Akash, always trying something new off the menu and they never disappoint! The flavors are on point and serving sizes are perfect! I usually order for pick up and the staff is nice and helpful. 10/10 Recommend!
