The 25 Best Restaurants In Barcelona - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"Akiro is a triple threat: great food, cool, minimalist design, and flawless service. It calls itself a Nikkei handroll bar, but it also holds its own as a sushi-ya, or sushi counter restaurant. Top Nikkei choices include the ebi furai, or tempura-battered shrimp and chili-garlic mayo, or the acevichado filled with chunks of tender seabass in spicy ají amarillo vinegar. But if you’re a strict Japanese purist, the buttery-smooth toro sashimi and the seared tuna nigiri would hold their own in Tokyo." - isabelle kliger

GO HERE! Worth any wait. Absolutely the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life! Incredible. The tempura de langosti is perfect. We ordered 2. Every single dish was made with attention to detail and nailed the flavors. I couldn't be more impressed. Diego and Mike did a wonderful job as server and chef.

Super sushi bar. Went for Saturday lunch and sat at Mike’s sushi counter with Diego looking after the service side. It was fantastic to see Mike prepare out meal in front of us recommending dishes and then presenting them to us. diego was super friendly and efficient too. Overall a great experience. Spent €60 a head for a lovely meal including drinks and dessert. Will definitely go back.

Incredible Japanese spot in Barcelona! The sashimi and rolls were the best I’ve ever had — super fresh and full of flavor. Loved the open kitchen concept — Chef Pablo prepared everything right in front of me with amazing precision. Authentic, high-quality, and very welcoming staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Wow, just amazing ! We came here for lunch on my birthday so thankfully missed the dinner line ! Setup and atmosphere are inviting and chique! Hand rolls are all delicious, especially the salmon ! We also had the fried shrimp appetizer, which was so good I could eat it everyday. Servers were helpful and attentive. Great wine selection that matches the flavors. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a nice lunch or dinner out !

Everything was amazing, a hidden gem in Barcelona. The best sushi fusion I have ever tried. The service was nice and our Chefs Pedro and Sumal were very good. The food was very tasty and high quality. If you are a sushi lover you must visit this place. :)

Absolutely delicious hand rolls — perfectly balanced flavors that make you want to order more. The atmosphere is lovely, and Chef Pedro is just amazing: charismatic, attentive, and you can feel the passion in his work. Definitely one of those places you want to come back to!

Phenomenal, and even that doesn't do it justice. By far the best Nigiri and hand rolls I've had in a long time. The service was excellent, as was our chef Pedro. Everything he served us was INCREDIBLE!! DO NOT skip on the nigiri. Highly recommend 👏

Amazing place! We arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed so ordered everything we thought we wanted. Everything was prepared in front of us providing for a nice show. When we were at our final dish our chef Pedro asked if we wanted anything else eventhough the kitchen had officially closed already. We ordered two more pieces of the eel nigiri because these were just soo special. Overall great service and great team and a special thanks to Pedro!
