It’s been months since we went to Akiro, but I still haven’t forgotten the spectacular experience we had. They seated us at the bar, and although it might seem a bit uncomfortable at first, I highly recommend it. Watching them prepare the food right in front of you and getting to eat it immediately is incredible. And if you’re as lucky as we were, the chef will explain each piece—the ingredients, how it’s made, how to eat it, etc.—to make the experience truly exceptional.
I highly recommend starting with the prawn tempura, and definitely try their hand rolls — they’re unique! And you can’t go wrong with any nigiri you order from their menu.
You can really tell the ingredients are top quality, and the service is a 10 out of 10. I had never tried cuisine that combines traditional Japanese dishes with a touch of Peru. We just couldn’t stop ordering! It’s the perfect place to celebrate special moments.
