This restaurant is located at the mall connected to Akita station. Oyakodon is delicious, definitely can appreciate the difference compared to the usual oyakodon. Staffs are friendly too.

Ordered the medium premium hinai jidori chicken with rice (2000 yen). Came with miso soup and radish. Chicken was tender but the overall dish was extremely bland. With all the hype, I thought it would be at least flavourful. Comes with egg on the chicken and rice which made it creamy. Miso soup was delicious. Didn’t care for the radish. Only dish so far that I did not enjoy in Japan. Would not recommend or return.

Chicken was tender and delicious and mixed well with the egg. I like the rice too. I think the big portion is a lot for the price tag of 2300 yen. It came with soup and radish. Overall it tastes normal. I kinda expected a bit more uniqueness but the special chicken was okay enough to satisfy me. It’s also convenient to Akita station.

It is not just hype. I had oyakodon before and it's good but this was... beyond amazing! Rice, chicken, and eggs. That's it. I do not feel a lot of seasoning, but the actual taste of that chicken and the eggs cooked to perfection made me devour this dish as if it was my last. No wonder this restaurant has a waiting list and I suggest you sign up when at the Akita Station. :)

Super good oyakodon! Is it the best? I am not sure, but definitely up there. What made this stand out was the broth. Unlike typical oyakodon, their base sauce was simple yet flavourful — without being overpowered by the usual sweet mirin. Soba soup was uniquely different (chicken base) too. Kiritanpo (originated in Akita) was a first for us and delicious! I think their chicken broth was a winner, and made their dishes stand out!

We ordered the oyakodon and cold udon set and were very happy that both were quite delicious. The egg in the oyakodon was nicely done and the texture of the noodles perfect. The staff were friendly and the location very convenient for travellers having to pass through Akita Station.

Located in Akita station food court on the third floor. Best feature is the location as it’s perfect for travelers going through Akita station to try Akita specialities. Specially hanai chicken which is local farmed chicken breed of Akita. Some of their specialities include nabe with Hanai chicken the broth was very light, it’s served with a potable grill to cook the nabe on your table. Oyako don which is rice topped with eggs and chicken, this was very flavorful the chicken was charcoal grilled and it gives a very nice smoked flavor. Another speciality is fried 2 types of gyoza with chicken or beans. They also have salad with land caviar called tonburi which is dried seeds of Belvedere Fruit. If you want to order just one meal to try few speciality tazawako cold Noodle set 田沢湖冷麺セット It comes with cold Noodles with chicken, oyakodonburi and comes with side of tonburi land caviar.

Yelp
I enjoy eating the special local cuisines and this location, 3rd floor in the Akita Station department store was quick and easy. Quick dine-in restaurant without the hurry. English menu with pictures. Convenient location and easy to order. Their chicken nabe (soup) is boiled on the table gas stove for 10 minutes and is shareable. 2 bowls are given. Salad with land caviar. No, it's not the fish but rather the crunchy seeds of a fruit. It's like if you finely chopped the broccoli heads. Nothing overpowering. They are also known for their oyakodonburi, a chicken-rice-egg bowl. Gotta try that next.
