What to Eat and Drink at Bay Area FC Games in San Jose - Eater SF

"Let’s say you want to zag a little further away from stadium fare. In that case, consider the spicy mango roll from Akita Sushi with spicy crab inside and thin slices of tuna, salmon, avocado, unagi, and spicy mayo drizzled over the top." - Tamerra Griffin

Google
Offering a wallet-friendly sushi experience that's sure to delight your taste buds without breaking the bank. While it may not boast the most mind-blowing sushi in town, it certainly delivers on taste and value. The moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff here is friendly, making you feel right at home. It's the perfect spot for a casual night out with friends or a quick sushi fix. Now, let's talk about the main attraction – the sushi. While it may not win any awards for the most exquisite presentation, the freshness and flavors are on point. The selection is decent, with all the classics you'd expect from a sushi joint, from California rolls to spicy tuna. What sets Akita Sushi apart is the affordability. You can enjoy a satisfying sushi meal without emptying your wallet. It's a great place for sushi newbies or those looking for a budget-friendly option. One highlight is their daily specials. Be sure to ask about them because you might stumble upon a hidden gem not found on the regular menu. The dynamite roll special I had was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. In summary, Akita Sushi is a fun spot for those seeking good sushi without the extravagant price tag. It may not be the pinnacle of sushi perfection, but it's a solid choice for a tasty, affordable meal. Give it a shot and let your taste buds be the judge! 🍣💰

Google
The food is delicious The service was very quick and seamless, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Me and my sister love coming here at least once a month for the past two years

Google
The food was wonderfully fresh, and large dishes. We had the classic poke bowl and we couldnt finish it. But the sashimi was large cubes and lots of crab salad. The salmon Kama was perfectly made. It wasnt dry. My kid also gave thumbs up for his chicken teriyaki benton box.

Google
Everything was awesome !! Always a little skeptical about trying out new sushi places due to pass experiences but I gotta say this was all around great food…Glad I live 2 minutes away from here, will be back a lot more

Google
I have ordered many times from this place and it never disappoints. This time I ordered Lion King Baked roll and it was as always . All the items in the menu are quite affordable and worth the price.

Google
I went there to dine with my family because of high rating , however, customer Service was excellent, but they don’t know to to make real Japanese food. Too much rice in sushi rolls, there is no taste in food, feels like a soap. Food are fresh but they should upgrade the chief. It was cold inside the restaurant.

Google
We have visited many restaurants, and this is our favorite one in the whole South Bay! The food is always excellent, the service is top-notch, and we always look forward to coming back for chirashi, bento boxes, and other yummy dishes.

Google
The sushi was solid when you take into account it’s a little cheaper than other places. I ordered the rainbow roll and spicy (though not in this case) California roll. I would discourage ordering the chicken karaage, which was a bit dry.

Yelp
This place has good selection of items served. A large menu. Absolutely loved the sushi/ rolls we ordered. All vegetarian. 1. Veggie Tempura rolls 5/5 2. Mango rolls 5/5 3. Green Monster rolls 5/5 Everything was so delicious and had unique flavors. If you are vegetarian and looking for some flavors in sushi/ vegetarian rolls definitely give it a try .

Yelp
Saw a board advertisement when going to Costco. Decided to try, since it says $12 lunch special. Got there, and we saw nothing for $12. Oh well. I chose a 3 item bento. I was not pleased. I got veggie tempura, ton katsu, and beef teriyaki. The beef teriyaki should have been called fat teriyaki. I maybe was able to eat half at most, which was a huge waste. Yes, I know some people like fat, but this was ridiculous. For the price, it should have been a great quality cut of beef. The tempura was good, the ton katsu was good. They skimped on the rice portion, and it was a bit mushy. They also forgot to bring my soup, but did when I brought it up. Never was asked if we wanted our drinks refilled. My daughter got a spicy sushi roll, which she liked but said it wasn't really spicy. She did not like the ginger given with the dish. Don't think we will be going back. 2.5 stars, not worth the cost. Just eh.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my bf. We wanted something kinda and a bit local to where we were. The food was ok. We ordered the Big G and Blossom Hill roll, which were both huge rolls and the mango roll and tropical roll. The mango and tropical roll were both very flavorful, while the two large rolls which we were looking forward to, was a bit of a disappointment. The flavors didn't quite fit together, it was too much, but at the same time a bit bland. The only thing that stood out was the "spicy" from the spicy tuna. The service could use work. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either. We were greeted upon coming in. The server got our order and then we never saw the server again. My BFs water was filled once. The only time they checked up on us was to ask if we were ready for the check. They did give us a complimentary appetizer, which was nice, but overall it was just a basic experience and hard to say that there was something that would be a highlight to come back,

Yelp
Decent place with reasonable prices especially for their lunch specials which I'd recommend the California Combo which has a California roll and 3 piece Nigiri (tuna, salmon, hamachi). Okay quality fish (not the best but certainly not the worst). Would come back again if in the area.

Yelp
This little place used to be the very worst Happi House, and that's hard for me to say, since I really like Happi House, in general. It is so much better now! The Sushi was very good. I had a tekka maki that was really good. A nice thick portion of tuna, with a good roll of rice. I also had the Hamachi Handroll. They subbed out the cucumber for Avocado for me, which was really nice of them. Unfortunately, there were no green onions. My mom had a 49'er roll and some tempura sweet potato, which she really liked, but it was a bit too much food for her, so we took the extra home for my partner. He was very Happy with it. The shop was clean and well laid out, plenty of four tops and a few two tops inside as well as a couple of tables out front. The staff were very friendly, and the service was quick. Watch yourself of the soft drink orders, though, the lemonade was HUGE, I couldn't finish it. We'll definitely be going back, my main regret is we waited so long to finally try it out.

Yelp
So I finally had a chance to dine in and I was very disappointed with the service. Food was about the same, but just being there was so much worse. The biggest issue is the waitstaff are just not there. After being seated and given a menu I was asked if I'm ready to order after maybe 20 seconds, then they didn't come back for almost 10 minutes. I was contemplating leaving but remembered I'd had good takeout here so have it a shot. I order, and within minutes I can see my 2 rolls on the top of the sushi counter. The chef is insanely fast. And the rolls sit. And sit. And finally one of the 3 waiters working brings it to me. Again, food is good not great. This is a place to scratch your sushi itch, not a place to get a legit omakase meal. Anyway, during the entire process of bringing the food, they don't check once. I ran out of water halfway through and they never once even asked if I'd like more. Nor did they clear any dishes after the food was gone. After finishing, we had some leftovers, and irritatingly they just gave me 2 plastic clamshell containers. Look, plastic is ruining our planet. You can't get cardboard? And furthermore - why am I going to a restaurant to put my own leftovers away? I hate that this is a thing. It's your food, you made it, you put the leftovers away. Why am I expected to? This just brings me back to the overall point - why am I eating here? To get SERVED. Not to just eat in front of my TV. So where exactly is the SERVICE? To top it all off, it took almost 20 minutes from asking for the bill to them bringing it, running my card, and bringing it back. All the while I am one of three tables there. And they have 3 waiters. How can they be this slow? Consider my lesson learned. This is a takeout spot, not a dine-in one. And the final thing - on the bill there was a "transaction fee" of 4%. Excuse me, but credit card processing is YOUR cost, not mine, and maxes out at 3.15%. So they are using this as an excuse to make extra money. Not cool. Oh and inside it was very, very warm. Uncomfortably so. With all the money you're making on made up fees, would it kill them to run the A/C?

Yelp
For those of you who don't know it's where Happi House used to be, near 5 Guys. The overall feel of the place is comfortable and always clean. The staff is always friendly and do an overall great job, I always tip a little extra. Now to the food. Everything I've had so far has been reliably good. But the two that stand out the most are the baked Silence Roll with shrimp tempura, crab and scallops just to name drop some of the ingredients. Then there's another baked one, Lobster Dynamite roll with shrimp tempura spicy crab, siracha marinaded lobster. Lastly, their sashimi is noticeably fresh, almost melts in your mouth. So to tie the review up in a pretty bow, this is one of my go to places when I'm in the area. Speaking of the area, they actually have one in Santa Clara on The Alameda near Santa Clara University too.

Yelp
This restaurant has a nice casual vibe inside. The place seems popular, lots of people in and out picking up orders during our hour at the restaurant, and most of the indoor seating full on a Saturday evening (though there are a few small tables outside too). The service was wonderful. They were fully staffed, at least 5-6 employees, friendly with the service, and wait time for the food was reasonable (maybe about 10 minutes). I got the Silence Roll baked specialty, and it was made well. The perfect concoction of flavors, not too sweet, not too salty. The shrimp tempura, crab, and scallops along with the sauce and other ingredients were altogether satisfying. My friend got the Lion King and 49ers roll and she enjoyed her meal as well, and definitely had leftovers as these are sizable servings. We left happy and full, with all 5-6 employees waving, thanking us, and wishing us a good night, all smiles as we stepped out the door! :D

Yelp
I came here for lunch today for takeout. I saw there sign the other day when I was shopping at Trader Joe's. They are a bit hidden in that shopping center. If it wasn't for the sign by the Blossom Hill entrance, I would have never known they were there. I ordered two bento boxes to go. One with salmon and California roll and the other with teriyaki chicken and California roll. Both came with steamed rice, salad and miso. I only waited 10 minutes and they were ready to go. Everything was really delicious and filling. They gave so much food. You definitely get your money's worth here and the staff were very friendly. I got there right when they opened, so all the dining room tables were empty but clean and tidy. I recommend checking this place out. Next time I will try their sushi rolls.

Yelp
I had no idea that this location was right in the Costco plaza that I take frequent trips to!! My friend and I ordered the gyoza, the crazy roll, and the beef udon. I didn't try the gyoza, and I had one crazy roll. It was my first foray into trying a deep fried sushi roll, and it was actually pretty solid. I would describe the taste of the rice juxtaposed with the fried exterior being similar to a hashbrown. Very delicious! I actually liked the salmon and the avocado was quite fresh (we also ordered pretty late around 8 PM, so this was a plus), however I'm not exactly a fan of having cream cheese in a sushi roll. It's not Akita's fault, it's just me disagreeing with the dish itself. The beef udon broth and noodles were the best. However, the beef was quite tough and fell flat to my expectations. The vegetables and the fish cake were of good quality, and absorbed the broth very well. I would come here again to try different dishes, the inside is very comfortable and not pretentious.

Yelp
This place is kinda weird on the inside (lol) - they blast Christian music (no hate) and there's a random St Patrick's day decoration on the wall. They play "cool online video" shows on the tv and they don't serve any alcohol. HOWEVER - they make BY FAR the biggest and best sized rolls I have ever seen. I always leave super full and usually with a take out box. The fish is fresh and the waitress is friendly. I would love a beer but it's fine - this place is worth the interesting experience.

Yelp
I don't normally give 1 or 2 stars review to restaurants since my main goal is to support local business owner but sorry to say this is the worst sushi / rolls I've had so far. We ordered through doordash. Good thing that they made the order pretty fast and we got it within 30-40 mins. We ordered 1 silence roll, 1 hamachi roll, 2021, nara roll and tako sunomono salad. The rice is the most important thing on a sushi roll but this is really disappointing. Rice was wet and pasty and got pressed so hard that i felt like i was eating rubber. My family and i rarely waste any food but this time we threw away all of the rice. The salad was not well mixed and they cut the cucumber too thick that cucumber was not well seasoned. I don't know if i would ever order from here again if they keep up with this quality.

Yelp
We love Akita Sushi! My husband and I come here with our daughter very often-- around once or twice a month. The restaurant is neat and not too big and not too small. We recommend the bento boxes - you get to mix and match with a lot of different options and the price is very reasonable. I love the chicken teriyaki-- yum! All of the staff are super friendly; the chefs and wait staff are always super nice and say hi to us and our extremely extroverted baby-toddler. We especially want to give a shout out to the wait staff member Kevin (Hi, Kevin!!)-- he is is super kind and so so sweet to our daughter, even when she yells happily at him from across the restaurant (sorry!). He is very attentive and thoughtful and knows to bring us extra napkins for our wild child-- he also remembers our names, which is so nice! We usually go on Thursdays but went on a Friday this week and it was pretty busy, but the service was still great and the food came out in a timely manner. There was a waitress today that we haven't seen before, and she was also super friendly and sweet to our (fussy and crying) daughter. We really love this spot. We have seen couples and families of all ages here and we always feel super welcome. Thanks for always being a wonderful and yummy place for our family dinner outings!! :)

Yelp
For a dinner I planned the great Akita sushi to eat via delivery, smooth transaction and now the food. I really appreciated that the order was organized, packed and with delivered care and professionalism. Kudos magnet! 1) order Bento box w/ 3 items: teriyaki chicken. katsu chicken, plus a plate of California roll, everything smelled good the teriyaki was nice and charred. The meat had a medium chew, the sauce was salty and sweet added a nice sauce element to the chicken meat. 2)Katsu chicken was nicely breaded and midway a bit tough yet soft was good with teriyaki the white rice was medium soft fluffy and starchy, the way I like it! 3) Salad was fresh and leafy and a nice bite and salad dressing was fine, enough, California roll was a fresh. seaweed was soft and sweet did like the avocado, cucumber plethora of rolls generously fresh and wide mouth. 4) OMEGA set was veritably and visibly humongous fresh salmon nice and soft ready to eat, rice was good avocado fresh, so happy for this meal! Total: $50.00 tip/taxes ENSO forever. dd delivery, Crispy California, "They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself." Andy Warhol

Yelp
Akita is a decent to-go spot for sushi. I wouldn't be too jazzed about coming here for date night, as the setting lacks ambiance with a messy interior and harsh white lighting. But portions are large, so you definitely get the bang for your buck with decent quality fish. I initially tried calling in my order but the background noise was unusually loud and the employee kept saying "No entiendo" when I repeated myself multiple times. So I ended up just stopping by; fortunately it only took about 10 minutes for them to prep an order of sake sashimi, an oshinko roll and a midway roll. The resulting rolls lacked elegance in their final presentation with pieces cut unevenly or incompletely, but I guess that's the trade-off for the speedy prep time. I even had to bust out my kitchen shears to re-cut some of my sashimi pieces that were still attached. I'm willing to overlook it because Akita's sashimi to price ratio is the best compared to other sushi places in the area (and you bet my miserly ass checked). Overall the fish was fresh but not buttery, melt-in-your mouth quality so I agree with others that warn against expecting an omakase experience.

Yelp
The food is pretty good. Today was weird tho, we haven't gone in 3 months or so.. it was empty and when we walked in, they were playing a country style of music which was a little odd for a sushi restaurant but whatever. Then we noticed they were playing Christian country/rock. Loud. After half an hour I asked if they could change it or turn it down and they said they couldn't because that's what the boss wanted. My daughter kept asking questions about God and Jesus and I didnt want to have to have these conversations in a restaurant at lunch. I also had to walk to the register to order an additional item and only when they bought it another 15/20 mins later did they ask if we wanted more water. It was a weird experience. I don't know when we'll come back.

Yelp
Cute spot, perfect for a quick lunch stop. Came here with my mom on a Friday afternoon, we were greeted and seated quickly. There's plenty of indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. Cute lantern decorations on the ceiling. We chose to go with the special rolls, a lobster baked roll and the cherry blossom. Both were really good. The staff are friendly and service is quick. I'll definitely be returning for a quick sushi fix.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is really good. Excellent looking and tasting sashimi. The place is clean, music is good and enjoyable, the service is great. I had the sashimi plate 9 piece, good price and appealing to look at. The hot tea was tasty and I come here for lunch and am satisfied with this restaurant. I do recommend it. This is the second time here and it was good both times.
google avatar

Jen G.

Yelp
Doordash order. Delivery took longer than expected but it's ok because I ordered during lunch hours. When I opened up my container, I noticed the rolls were HUGE! And mainly rice, barely any filling. If you're looking for sushi rolls with a shit load of rice, this is the spot. Hard pass. Avocado roll not as advertised, nori is supposed to be on the outside, not the inside.
google avatar

Emily Z.

Yelp
We've never eaten in the restaurant but this place has provided us with reliably good takeout orders, we love the Lion King roll and Dragon rolls the most! Large portion sizes, decent amount of sauce (sometimes a little too much), and always delivered in a timely manner.

Kat B.

Yelp
The restaurant has such a cute atmosphere and the food was delicious. The servers were very inviting.

Yelp
Failed to meet expectations. I ordered a tuna roll. They brought me a spicy tuna roll. One of my party ordered a California roll. She said the avocado tasted moldy. Service was slow. Their GPS position is in the wrong location. A no never bv.

Yelp
Lots of food (eel) for the price I paid BBQ eel is spot on. This rating is only for bbq eel bc it was so good
google avatar

Sydney S.

Yelp
Huge portions, and friendly customer service. We ordered the Combo Tempura (veggie and shrimp), Crispy California (in the Deep Fried Roll section), and Sara Roll (in the Specialty Roll section). The Sura was enormous, it had two tempura shrimp, surimi crab, and cucumber inside. If you aren't a fan of surimi crab, there are many other roll options with fresh fish inside. Prices (before tax and tip) Sara Roll (HUGE) $19.25 Crispy California Roll $13.75 Mixed Tempura $9.99
google avatar

Yelp
The ambiance is more "fast food" looking since it was previously a Happi House location. The service was almost nonexistent but the sushi was really good. We all enjoyed what was ordered. Silence Roll (Baked) Crunchy Roll 49ers R Ocean (Deep fried) - This one was delious Furious - This one was delious as well
google avatar

Yelp
Good food-sushi is delicious with LOTS of options to choose from. Depends on our mood but we always change up what we order and so far has not disappointed.

Yelp
Recently discovered this place after a trip to Costco! Secluded in a corner of the Almaden plaza among with Subway, Wingstop, and many more restaurants. With festive decorations and few amount of people dining, my friend and I arrived into a welcoming, intimate restaurant. It's a family owned business that opened all the way back in February. Steady amount of diners around us, just enjoying the chill ambience and fresh sushi being served. What we ordered: -Mixed Tempura: excellent assortment of deep fried battered vegetables of pumpkin, onion, carrots, and asparagus! Super crunchy, crispy, and soft to munch on. I was surprised by the size of the portion for this appetizer, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. -49ers roll: great presentation of the fatty tuna and lemon slices, beautiful arrangement of orange and yellow mixed in. The lemon slices really marinated the fish in its acidity, adding that sour flavor with the tuna. The tuna itself was fresh and fatty for sure. -Highway: Satisfied my appetite for unagi with it being deep fried. The presentation was aesthetic with rice crackers sprinkled on top! More slow than a highway but oh well. The roll was delicious with the spicy crab meat and mellow flavor of the cream cheese within. Each roll was a definite mouthful and took me two bites to finish! Great venue in the community, would certainly come again :-)

Yelp
Ok so I didn't get great photos because I was starving and inhaled my food. This place was amazing! They were super fast with their service and and we didn't wait long to be seated or receive our order. I tried the rock and roll and the avocado roll which both were a 10/10. My husband ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl which he stated was really good. The best part is we just happened to be nearby and took a chance since I was too lazy to look at Yelp reviews. Glad to see that they have high ratings because we both thought they were really great!

Yelp
I was looking for a new sushi place close to home and voila....Akita popped up on Yelp. Called them to place my order, I had a little difficult time understanding the woman who answered, but it went well after a rough start. I really liked that my food order was ready when I got there, even though I was early. Good service. I ordered four different rolls. I am sorry to say that they were just okay. I can't recommend Akita...after all....its all about the food!

Yelp
This place had really friendly staff makes you feel welcomed. The food was delicious will be coming back soon. Fast service as well.

Yelp
We ordered via Foodja. Teriyaki chicken was in a brown watery sauce and not Teriyaki at all. Their rice was wet. Wet. Not sure what they are doing with their rice recipe but it's very off. When I told my co-worker that I choose this place for lunch, he told me about his last experience and it was spot on same as mine. Water Teriyaki chicken and wet rice. Multiple people at work said the same about the chicken as well. Did not eat the food after a few bites unfortunately.
google avatar

Yelp
FOOD: had chicken in my 2-item bento. the chicken was not too dry like other places and i like this place because their sushi is relatively cheaper than other sushi places in the bay. however, rice was pretty mushy & the sashimi is good, but definitely not the best. will be back for their rolls!
google avatar

Shirin B.

Yelp
Lots of great Yelp reviews here so I decided to check it out and got a bento box for lunch. The bento comes with miso, white rice, and salad, all pretty standard. The salmon sashimi was cut in very big chunks and so was the agedashi tofu we ordered and California rolls. Everything felt like it needed to be cut smaller. As for flavor everything was pretty standard, but nothing stood out as special. (The agedashi tofu is not vegetarian by the way, since it had bonito fish flakes sprinkled on it.)

Yelp
This restaurant is literally in the back corner of a large shopping center. I had seen it several times since I go to the Baskin Robbins, Trader Joe's, and Five Guys close by. I finally gave it a try today and thought it was great. I liked the food, service, and large windows for plenty of outdoor lighting. I love Japanese Food and will most certainly be back since I'm in this area regularly. Hope business goes well here in this not so obvious location. It's a hidden gem.

Tyra T.

Yelp
0 stars. Over a 50 minute wait and when asked for a refund they only gave back $18 for a $20 order. They took the food back and couldn't care less that over 20 people spent half of a soccer game waiting for their over priced food. Terrible business and waste of time :/

Yelp
Tried this place out on a whim. Hi mom, who is 96, had the California hand. I had a crispy Dragon roll. The crispy Dragon roll was so big we ended up sharing it. That was enough for us senior citizens. I liked the crispy Dragon roll. It was crispy but not super crispy. That said it was tasty and filling. It was very large for a custom roll, I would say maybe 50% bigger than a normal custom roll at your average sushi place. My mom's California hand ro was also similarly well appointed but maybe only 20% bigger than a normal California hand roll. Both were tasty, but not knockouts. Overall, I guess a for the quantity and a B for the taste. I would consider coming back here if I needed a sushi fix and was close to the Almaden Costco. Service was good, friendly, and fast enough. The cleanliness was also pretty good. I'd say, solid performer with good value. We finished our lunch with just $21 spent. We did not have drinks other than water. Good find!

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it was worth it. Small place but clean with good service. I got a sushi roll and my son ordered the bento box. Sushi was tasty and filling. It was a fat roll for sure. The bento box was huge too. The portions here are bigger than the average plates a em delicious too.

Yelp
I finally got to try Akita Sushi, which opened up in the Costco/Trader Joe's plaza. Its on the side with Baskin Robbins and Subway. I was able to place my lunch order over the phone. When I arrived, my food was still getting prepared. I had to wait about 10 more minutes and my food was ready. Everything I tried today was delicious! The miso soup had seaweed and tofu mixed in the soup. It was just the right flavor and not too salty. The tempura was tasty. The chicken teriyaki was tender and very juicy. I also enjoyed the California rolls, which came with 6 pieces. I highly recommend Akita Sushi. The 3 item bento allowed me to try different things, which was great. I can't wait to try other dishes.
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
Ordered off DoorDash, overall food was 4/10. The only thingI liked was the 2 item bento box...pretty decent amount of meat, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The sushi however, there was way tooo much rice. The portion were huge and stuffed with mainly imitation crab.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Love the Korean side dishes. Very good and very authentic. The sushi rolls are excellent. Super fresh and lot of options. Prices are reasonable and the service is always kind and helpful. Side note plus for me... they unashamedly play Christian music! I will support them as much as I can. Highly recommend this place.

Jim D.

Yelp
The portions were huge. Fast food delivery and a low price for what you get! I'll be back. They even had gluten free and low sodium soy sauce. God bless you!

Yelp
Hands down, definitely my new favorite place for some fire japanese food. I never have to wait long, and the Inari is made exactly how it should be. I recommend ordering all of it. There has yet to be a single dish that wasn't to my liking. My son goes crazy for the Miso soup I definitely order at least once a week via DoorDash, just waiting for the opportunity to go in person.

Yelp
Service: Excellent. Very fast, although I was there at 4pm and only one other person was there. I ordered takeout and I got my order in less than 10 minutes. The employees were very welcoming. Food: Excellent. The portion sizes are generous and I was surprised by just how much fish was included. The quality of the fish wasn't top tier, but still good. Prices: Good. Bay area sushi is always expensive but this is def on the less expensive side while not skimping on quality and portions.

Yelp
Everything from food to service was a miss with this place. Waiters only spoke Spanish which is fine cause we just pointed towards what we wanted to order off the menu. But they still got our orders wrong and forgot to give us some items. Sushi rice was mushy and quality of fish wasn't great. Service was really slow. People ordering Togo/on delivery apps were lined up and waiting for a while. Chefs prioritized those orders more than folks who were dining in. Also - Christian worship music is the only playlist they had. I wouldn't recommend going here.

Yelp
Absolutely fresh sushi! We're like this l their food so much we order twice a week - bento with three sashimi and it never fails to be the highest quality! Test if the food is spectacular too. Tempura, teriyaki, bulgogi, you name it and it's highest quality and very tasty.

Yelp
I love trying new places. If you're like me, give this place a try. We've ordered to-go twice and both times went smoothly and the sushi tasted good! Our order came quick! I definitely recommend the Silence Roll if you like scallop.

Yelp
Fantastic, very generous portions for the price. Kind and welcoming staff. For sure a family owned business . Favorite roll at this establishment is the 49rs roll. This sushi spot definitely deserves more customers, zero complaints.

Yelp
HUGE ROLLS! The staff here at Akita Sushi were the nicest staff. From the moment I walked in to when I left I was greeted and thanked for coming to their restaurant. The chef that made our rolls and sushimi thanked us as we left and left us full with such a great meal. Ordering we did not imagine the rolls to be as big as they were. We are used to going to kenzo for all you can eat but this place is far beyond superior than kenzo. Not only was the staff welcoming but the food made us leave full and awed. The rolls we ordered were bigger than any rolls I've eaten in San Jose and not bad for their price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to eat sushi here!

Yelp
Terrible, this place is a joke, sushi rolls are giant size full of rice and fillers, barely any fish, don't waste your time, this shouldn't be called Japanese
