"The gentle disposition of owner-chef Hideto Akiyama pervades the menu and his attentive and quick-witted flow of service is part of the appeal. For guests who prefer to drink, he offers snacks, while he provides a wider variety of dishes to guests who are here to dine. Dishes are generously accompanied by marinated tuna, beef simmered in soy sauce and mirin, and dried young sardines seasoned with soy and Japanese pepper. White rice cooked in earthenware pots closes out the meal." - Michelin Inspector

Service staff were exceptionally helpful to us foreigners, went over the top and even wrote us by hand an English menu to take home as a keepsake. The chef is a master of many crafts, present in the various dishes. So flavourful and precise.

We had a wonderful meal here. Our group occupied the entire restaurant for and Akiyama and his team were very hospitable. We are very interested in cooking and he engaged with us throughout the meal to help us understand each preparation, ingredients, etc. Everything was made from scratch and the ingredients were seasonal. I’d recommend to anyone coming to Tokyo.

Very cozy place, small counter for just a few people. I had a bamboo shoots tasting menu (it is tasting menu only btw) and absolutely enjoyed it. Every dish is based on just a few ingredients, but taste and texture is absolutely perfect. Service is very attentive and they go into great length to explain some not so obvious things they are serving. Made an effort to write a menu in English for me, it helped a lot.

This is now my favorite restaurant for Japanese cuisine. The creations are unique, the ingredients are wonderful, the presentation is beautiful, and most importantly, each serving is delicious. My wife and I enjoy food very much and we enjoy exploring all types of dining, so I can confidently state that this restaurant is a gem. This place is another reason for me to visit Tokyo when I am living away.

The chef is very caring. Explained all dishes even though I can't speak Japanese. The food are perfectly balanced, and ingredients are fresh and in season.I didn't have the full set of menu for lunch but the chef has given me the best kaiseki experience!
