Onsen: Tenderloin Bathhouse-Restaurant Is (Finally) Taking Dinner Reservations for Pop-Ups | Eater SF
"Described as a traveling operation enlisted for a summer pop-up dinner series at a returning bathhouse/restaurant; part of the roster running July 19–August 31 and participating in two nightly soaks and seatings." - Paolo Bicchieri
The food and the customer service were both extremely well. The food was fresh and hot, and the owner Aku and Edem were both very helpful, friendly, and patient as I was trying to figure out what to order. I would highly recommend anyone in the Philly area to come to this genuine Ghanaian Restaraunt. Aku even signed my box I felt even more special! 5 stars ⭐️!!!

Called in ahead with my order, which was ready when I arrived.
Ordered kelewele (fried spicy ripe plantain), waakye (cooked rice and beans) with goat meat and all the trimming
Food came with a boiled egg and a side of pepper sauce.
Tasty food, good service and a cozy atmosphere in this Ghanaian restaurant.
Does not accept cash.
Only Zelle and Cashapp
Was worth the 45 minute drive.

Aku is amazing.
FYI: Takeout place only and you have to call ahead of time. We didn't know that but she didn't turn us away. She took care of 5 hungry people with delicious food!
Love her, love service and her food!

My boyfriend introduced me to Aku's kitchen and I must say I have been addicted to her food since. The food is delicious. The place is great very clean. The service is spectacular. Aku's smile is always welcoming as well as the staff. Best Ghanian food is West Philadelphia- a true hidden gem. Too bad she is only open on weekends.

Hidden gem! The environment is clean, simple, and pleasant. The waitress was all smiles! This was my first time having Ghanaian food in Philly! The Shito is a must esp. if you like crayfish! The goat meat was made just right! I had #12 (rice/beans, salad, goat meat, & Shito on the side). My friends also enjoyed #3 and #7.

I usually don't give bad reviews but my experience with these guys is the worst. Don't even bother with this place. Their business practice is a joke. You call them hours ahead to order food on their menu, they either tell you they don't have food, can't prepare it & you have to tell them days ahead. When you go there to order, it takes them almost 2 hours to bring your food.
