"What sets this Bird Road spot apart from the rest of Miami’s Lebanese restaurants is their oven. You can spot the monstrous double-decker thing through a small service window just past a deli counter filled with kibbeh, butter cookies, and baklava. And you’ll want anything that gets quality time inside of it, like pillowy pita to dip into baba ganoush or the lahm bil ajeen flatbread with lamb and cheese. Part of the fun of coming here is interacting with the owner, who will help guide you through the menu. After you order a juicy lamb sandwich filled with peppers and a tangy sauce at the counter, take your food outside to the covered patio that the restaurant shares with three neighboring spots." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

A fair place to be of you wanna see some belly dancing (Fri/Sat), dance to some Bollywood music and for hookah. Ideally plan to reach before 9pm to avoid the cover charge and you will also find plenty parking space. The drinks are decently strong or ensure you have enough food. The food and service was fair and do was the hookah. The flavour was good but comes with one spout which makes waiting inevitable. The place is definitely recommended for weekend fun with friends. What we found lacking..... The DJ Asim is best avoidable. No real sense in the songs he picked for playing. If you can ignore this and just need sped up music, you will be happy. They don't serve still water after 10pm. They can only sell you a 500ml bottle for 4$. That's my first. Talk about the focus on money. The security when the belly dancing starts is like a presidential visit. But am sure they have their reasons for that. They also add a "Non Cash Adjustment" to the bill which I have no clue what it means or if that is even legal.

Wonderful place. I had the combo kabob. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The steak was almost able to cut with a fork it was so tender. Everyone in the group seemed to really enjoy their food. The service was also excellent. Andrew did a great job with our huge party.

I love the food and service here. I ordered for delivery and the portion size was half of what I’ve received other times I’ve ordered for delivery. Im going to give ordering for delivery another try to see if this happens again. Hopefully I won’t have to stop ordering from here.

We visited on a Saturday night and had a really great time! We showed up early to eat, around 8:30, because we did not want to have a meal when it got more club-y. The food was absolutely delicious. You could taste the freshness in everything. The pita was soft and buttery, the hummus was creamy, the yogurt salad was minty and fresh. We also got the mixed grill with beef, chicken, and kafta. All the meats were juicy and cooked perfectly but the kafta was the star of the show. The baklava was also great but I personally would not order it again because I did not think it was anything particularly special. The staff was also really attentive, constantly checking up on us and seeing if we needed anything or to clear our plates away even though they had multiple large parties. Around 9:45, the belly dancing and music started and the atmosphere was great! Lots of people were up dancing, having a great time. The DJ was honestly pretty solid, he was really good at mixing stuff. I would definitely recommend if you want to have a night of fun/dancing without going to a more packed club.

Google
The place to be! The atmosphere is so fun with great music that keeps the energy up. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re just hanging out or looking for a good night out, this spot never disappoints!

Google
Disappointed, Desi people don’t visit mainly indian and pakistani’s and Bangladesh and the Dj was waste ( ASIM ). Im requesting the management to please change the DJ operator. Bad vibe I never felt this feeling in united states. Finally don’t visit this place if DJ ASIM here. Literally people are waiting for good song

Google
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Great space for large parties AND for having LOTS of fun with talented (and classy) belly dancers, incredible hookah options, variety of music genres, and A DANCE FLOOR! The food and drinks are the icing on the cake. My friends and I personally enjoy the FREE Wednesday night bellydance classes! It's definitely a rare DFW GEM!!!

Yelp
We're a couple of retirees and we usually go to restaurants about 5, so there were no other customers in the place until about 6, nonetheless the food and service were outstanding. The hummus was the best I've ever had and the entrees were bursting with flavor. You get charged for using a debit card. The server let us know that the belly dancer starts her work at 1030p and lots of folks show up even after that. We'll be back (around 5 ish).

Anastasiya T.

Yelp
I like this place, it's very spacious, they have big parking lot. Food is delicious! Service is quick and they do have belly dancers on Friday Saturday nights!

Yelp
Tucked away not far from the highway off 75 and Spring Valley. There are tons of selections of everything from nuts and spices to even candy. Very clean establishment with a nice little round about layout around the spices and nuts that are in the middle of the place in nice wooden barrels. We came for the pistachio chocolate and didn't see it immediately. When we walked to the checkout counter, we heard a patron in front of us ask for them. They keep them right at the register. We opted for the $20 bars and got a cup of pineapple juice. I asked for a cup of coffee, but apparently, they only roasted and sold the beans. We got a few little pastry treats these tiny little cookies/biscuits in like a cupcake form but tiny, and some had pistachio. Others had almonds and cashews. Now, the pistachio chocolate bar wasn't quite the same consistency as I've had before, I can say the whole piece of pistachios inside made for a great experience. I'd gladly go back again.

Yelp
Most delicious food ordered for delivery ever! They make a chicken with rice covered in labneh with crispy pita chips, that's as good as anything that I've ever eaten. Price is $16. Unbelievable!

Tirupathi M.

Yelp
Food is good, service is top notch and ambiance was amazing. But the place looks very old and outdated.

Ricky S.

Yelp
Not a good place. Don't give them your credit card they will charge it multiple times for nothing. Thieves!!

Yelp
This was the first time we attended a restaurant/bar with belly dancing performance included. Had heard quite a lot and was expecting more maybe. When we entered the venue, we were seated outside because although several tables were empty, they were reserved before hand. The outdoor seating was not very maintained considering temperatures are constantly high and since seats were below trees, there were ants and maybe some bugs around. Food wise, pricing was moderate. However flavor wise it was lacking. Grape leaf appetizer was a bit disappointing. Shawarma and chicken kebabs were just decent, felt more dry than usual Mediterranean places though. The belly dancing performance was impressive. The ambience inside was good- mostly giving 'desi night' vibes in any club. Service was a bit slow, but since there was a huge crowd, it is understandable.

Ralf R.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and the food is fantastic. This place is great for a low key date night. On the weekends they have a belly dancer that performs for the patrons. Really cool atmosphere. Everytime I eat here the food does not disappoint. There is smoking aloud here and also huka.

Naveen K.

Yelp
It's an awesome place to be on Fridays. I went here from the first time back in 2015 and again today my friends invited me to hang out with them for the Bollywood dance night. It was truly awesome. I loved every bit of it. The staff was cool and friendly. People were nice. Music was great. Id like to go back to Al-Amir every Friday. Visited today to eat food for the first time and it was absolutely freaking amazing. Loved everything that I ordered. One of the best Lebanese restaurants in town. And the best Lebanese food I have tasted.

Amanda R.

Yelp
Another update..... I enjoy this place! I don't smoke. However, not against those that do. It's a full bar with lots of people who enjoy sharing a hookah filled with a variety of flavors. This place is so thick from the smoke you can literary cut it with a knife. My understanding, is that this is the last smoking spot allowed bar in Addison. Noticed that staff comes around frequently and keeps the coals well stoked. I can always walk outside for air. I do that quite frequently. Specially, as the night goes on and additional people arrive. Just make sure you get an armband prior to walking out Otherwise, it might be difficult to reenter. Just play by the rules and it will never be an issue. Noticed on my frequent visits to get air that they have Addison Police in the parking lot. That's a great idea when large groups congregate for food and fun. Certainly can't hurt! I was skeptical about this place initially, because of some of the reviews. This is a Friday night and if you come before 9 PM there is no cover. Regardless, of how many are at your table, you will be charged a 20% service charge. Period. Advice you look at your receipt and be forewarned when closing out the check. Paying a 40% plus tip can hurt the wallet if you are unaware. This is my third visit and it certainly will not be my last. I met friends here to celebrate! The dance floor is bumper to bumper people and hot as hell! Feel free to dance at your own risk. They do have the air conditioner at full blast. It still stays hot regardless. The atmosphere was fantastic. They have a DJ that kept beat with the mood of the crowd. On a previous visit there was a regular patron that got up and does all these "Napoleon Dynamite" moves. Even looks like him too! I so wanted to film him because I thought it was awesome that he had that much confidence to be different. He was fearless! The patrons were cool and welcoming. Refreshing! I was hoping he'd be here tonight. He wasn't. A belly dancer came and danced at our table. What a treat! It's so fascinating how she moved, so graceful and fluid like. It was fun watching the folks at our table tip her. (This visit I was the only one that remembered to bring bills for the tip). The food is fabulous. It's Lebanese food and many of us have not had this type food before. Everyone had something different. I didn't want to be weird and ask people to wait while I took pictures. Lots of vegan choices which I loved! I heard not one complaint. All I heard was lip smacking and moans of delight. Oh and you have got to have their hot sauce. That stuff is crack in a container! I poured it all over my vegetables. 46/2019

Yelp
Food was tasteless and very dry Kind of frozen food out from freezer after heating Also 20% mandatory fees is included in bill for such a bad food even though prices are already on the higher side Ambiance is not good for family visit with kids or parents Will never visit again

Bhabuk B.

Yelp
Good for desi night like music and dance floor will be hyped up which is great but it's pricey they charge $50 for hookah

Kristina W.

Yelp
I love this place. It is fantastic for large parties and easy to get a reservation. The last two parties we have had the same waiter and he's a blast and very good at his job. The humus is the best I have had.

Sara M.

Yelp
Always a fun night coming to Al Amir. The food was actually very delicious - we got two family platters for 4. We started at 8:00pm and the belly dancing didn't start until 10:30. She was awesome, but there was only one dancer we saw. The music and hookah was also on point. We had our teenagers with us and they really liked it too. We were a table of 10 and our waitress kept up until it got really busy and then she did the best she could. We could tell she had a lot of large tables she was working. They did charge gratuity, but felt it was fair - they earned the 20%. It's an experience and something different to do - we will go again!

Yelp
NO!!! HARD NO!!! A total waste of $60 on a Saturday night. The valet stared at me because he "thought I was lost" (his words) so he didn't assist with my car until I pulled over and got out of my own car. I walked in and it was nothing like I expected. It's a nightclub with deafening loud pop music and laser lights. After finding my own table, the dude working my section asked for my credit card after I placed a food order with nothing to drink. I thought this was really fishy so I asked "why?". His response was, "oh we can open a tab for you just in case you want to order more as the night goes on". I should have listened to gut and left right then and there but... I stayed but not for long! Service was non-existent. I had to ask for napkins. I had to ask for tongs. I had to ask for silverware. None of which came promptly. Oh, and I wasn't given any water or asked what I wanted to drink. The food was horrible. Flavorless Arabic food that was warm but not hot. When my order came out 7 mins after I placed it, I knew it was going to be nasty. Authentic Arabic food takes time to prepare! The hookah was weak. I didn't bother to ask for more coals because I was annoyed after asking for everything else. All of this and a $9 gratuity charge was added to my bill that you truly didn't earn or deserve. Sneaky and borderline unethical...a gratuity charge for a table with one person?? Never again!!! Ever!!!

Gina K.

Yelp
Food is delicious. Place is set up nicely but not as good as the Greenville location. DJ sucked tonight. I was embarrassed I brought friends. It was supposed to be international night and it was lame. It has potential but they definitely need to get rid of DJ Goraz.

Amer K.

Yelp
Greag ambience. Amazing service. Enjoyed our time there. Total party and dance atmosphere.

Janey G.

Yelp
I absolutely love AlAmir The food is so fresh and delicious for an awesome price. the service is remarkable especially thumbs up for my guys joe and Baja. the greatest ambiance I've experienced the night life and international hits will keep you partying all night full of smiles and fun

Vakisha C.

Yelp
This place was very cool. I went, for the first time, for a salsa night. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. As we walked in, we noticed the DJ playing music. We were greeted by Primo, who I assumed was the manager. Nevertheless, he was very welcoming and hospitable. We ordered a few drinks that were brought by our very nice server Joe. And to our surprise, was informed that they have free hookah Thursday's. Yes! Salsa dancing AND hookah??!! We had a great time and will be back for sure.!!

Fahrina H.

Yelp
Blown away by this place. A MUST visit place next time I am in Dallas. We called ahead to reserve a table by the stage. They have live performances Saturday ( but call ahead to confirm). There is no cover until 10pm; we were seated immediately. We ordered kabab platters, hummus/baba ghanoush. Also, the peach hookah was sooo good. The price was reasonable for the quality and the quantity of food. The belly dancing show started at 10:30 and wow, all of us felt so lucky to have witnessed such a breathtakingly beautiful performance. Food? 5 *****, Service? 5*****, Entertainment? 5***** Al-Amir, you don't have to convince me twice for coming back.

Rahul B.

Yelp
Worst place ever. They sneak a mandatory 20% gratuity and card fees. I also forgot my card there and called them about it and the guy rudely says I am busy call tomorrow.

Himanshu G.

Yelp
We went with our gang yesterday and we have been here earlier. We love to come again and again on Friday's night or bollywood night. Food, hookah was really great, this time we have tried apple head hookah and it was nice and great experience for us. We have tried multiple cocktails as well such as mango martini, Moscow vodka something and it was great. We really love the Belly dancing and you can say that artists are best in their work. And last but not least the DJ, he got his moves and know how to touch nerves of audience. His collections of songs are amazing and the way he fused with beats was amazing. He actually make a atmosphere rocking. I'll definitely recommend this place who loves to party and want to have fun on weekends

Osmond D.

Yelp
So I went out with my family members to celebrate my wife's birthday at this spot and here's my outtake on this place. 1) After 10pm there's a cover charge to get into this spot. 2) They have put cones throughout the entire public parking area and are forcing people to pay a valet fee. $10 for regular parking and $20 for vip parking which is parking in front of the restaurant. 3)They had about 3 waiters entertaining the entire establishment of customers who were filling up by the second. From a business perspective it's not fair to the waiters and the paying customers. The waiters were over stressed and the customers were just waiting. But I'm sure the business owners don't give a flying F**k about this. 4) After being seated for a whole 45 mins, I finally flag down a waiter for service. Then we finally get to place an order and our food arrived an hour later. All the orders have the sauces missing and 3 members of my family did not receive their sodas. We literally had to wait another 20 minutes before I was able to flag down our waiter to bring us those items so that we could complete our meal. Might I remind you that other waiters do not help you. 5) After eating we waited another 45 minutes to get our bill and then another 15 minutes for the waiter to come and grab it. This is the point where I got highly agitated as my kids started to cry and we wanted to get the hell out. 6)This is the best part and I am being highly sarcastic when I say this. The waiter got our checks mixed up after I repeated told him what belonged to who and proceeded to charge each and everyone of our orders a 20% gratuity. Last I checked, it's the customers decision to pay that based on their overview of service. The service was atrocious and no you cannot blame this on the pandemic. 6) I'm currently looking for a legal way to report this establishment. A lot of shit they do is illegal, especially coercing customers to pay for public parking, charging them a gratuity without their permission. Hopefully they are registered with the better business bureau.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday night. I wasn't sure what to expect. I went too early around 7:30pm. I ordered the Fatteh with Chicken and it was delicious. It was a lot of food. I then ordered the baklava ice cream which was large enough to share for 4 people. I stayed for the belly dance show that started around 9:30 and that's when more people began showing up and when the party got started. I had a good time in all honesty. The music is good! The belly dancers were amazing! I would definitely come again.

Aleena D.

Yelp
1. Cust service is horrendous, bartenders and waiters have a serious attitude problem (few are nice but with the inconsistency you'll never know who you'll get) only get hookah if you want to wait 15 minutes for someone to get you coal. 2. Overpriced in every aspect for food and drinks. $15 cover fee on Fri night for an environment that's not even great. 3. Bartenders tip themselves extra. Two drinks I bought came out to $40 on my credit card. Not accurate. Two stars because Bollywood night is a good concept yet what I mentioned above would definitely make me avoid this place.

bilal H.

Yelp
The single worst experience I ever had at any place. This place requires you to give them your credit card before you can place your order for food. And they do not give you a receipt of all the items you order. They simply give you a credit card receipts that has the total amount charged to your order and forced 20% gratuity. The service was absolutely horrendous. The waiter brought terrible attitude and energy from the gecko. He did not bring us water for our meal. When I had asked him for the second time, he simply ignored me. The food is mediocre and overpriced. There are so many better options in the neighborhood with better food and service.

Mariam F.

Yelp
This place has improved so much since it underwent a recent management change. Primo is a solid and personable manager who goes out of his way to make sure you're comfortable and taken care of. Food is great as usual- def try the new roasted cauliflower appetizer. Glad I decided to give Al-Amir one more chance

Evi R.

Yelp
Lovely place to eat and have a good time. Music and dancing available on the weekend.

Courtnee W.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS FUN AND THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!! My best friend and I have never been here and the staff was very welcoming when we came in. Our waiter, Heather, was helpful and explained the popular foods to try. This is a place you don't want to miss out on! We will be back.

paul t.

Yelp
Best hookahs in dfw, delicious Arabic Food, Respectful Staff that you can talk with if something isn't going well they Karen and will help you out if you are respectful not drunken disrespectful dfw civilian! The drinks are great also

Fadi A.

Yelp
Valet parking is straight bullshit, al Amir restaurant claims there's parking for customers.. all parking spots has cones and reserved for valet only Al Amir restaurant forces you to valet, plus they joy ride my car Management needs better options for customers

Miriam C.

Yelp
I usually come to this place a lot and I do really enjoy this environment most of the time , but last time I was there one of the bartenders was really rude to me and my sisters just because we wanted to pay separately like okay be upset about it but don't be slamming or credit cards in front of our faces talking shit , it's just not nice to have him throw the receipt and tell us to hurry up and sing it in a rude tone. As I said , love the place but if you're not willing to serve people nicely then just don't Show up to work it puts people in bad moods.

Charis S.

Yelp
Get ready for dinner, drinks and a great show! It took us all by surprise when acrobats, fire girls, sword & belly dancers and hoola hoppers came out as our entertainment. It was pretty cool and because it was so unexpected, it was even better! This is a perfect place for any celebration. They make sure you're taken care of, you get a birthday song, a shout out on the microphone, just good fun. Now, as far as food...we ate like Kings and Queens. Our appetizers were good. Meat pies with this spicy pepper sauce, but not TOO overwhelming. I could've eaten that alone, but we didn't stop there. We got this Feast with chicken, steak and beef kabobs, HUGE plate, with rice, grilled tomatoes and onions, just A LOT of food. Later in the night, the place turns into a full on dance club. People everywhere, having a good time. Good, LOUD music and if you want a good drink, side note, ask for Sam the bartender. He's the BEST!

Sheshu P.

Yelp
Too noisy , the belly dance show was just for 15 mins. The order was messed up . The dancer never came to the area where we were seated when initially we were told she will walk around . Too pricey and the music was too loud that all of us had a very bad headache

Abra B.

Yelp
Well, for my first Lebanese treat, this was rather enjoyable. Normally, I'm not a hummus girl (I know), but they hummus had me going back for more. The hookah was even more enjoyable with little bits of rose, apple and jasmine hitting my tongue. I wish I could remember the name of the dish I had, because it was wonderful. All in all it was very good, except for our service. I think the belly dancer came to our table more often than our waiter. I really wanted to take my meal home, but the wait wasn't worth just getting a to-go box. If you want delicious food with awesome entertainment, please try Al-Amir, but be ready to wait for just about everything.

D R.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I've brought out of town friends here, coworkers, my husband etc. It's a nice little dancing spot. There's always a cover. I went in today thinking it was international night but it wasn't. I paid $5 and waited at the front entrance for friends. I decided to leave 5 mins later because I didn't like the music. I asked if I could get my $5 back since I didn't even get to enjoy, go in, dance nor drink. The bouncer said no refunds. I work in the service industry in a fine dining restaurant down the street. I cannot believe this is how they choose to treat guests. Yes it's $5 I know. Nonetheless, It's the principle. I was there for 5 mins. It's pretty grimy and I feel cheated. So keep the $5 but I promise you, you'll never see a penny from me again. I'll be sure to let my guests, my coworkers and my friends that al-Amir is a questionable place.

Daioni S.

Yelp
Alight so I just moved to dallas from Orlando FL and I wanted a nice relaxing place like back at home. I was told by a friend to check this place out that he has gone and had a good time. The food I must give it a 5 star. The hummus and the pita bread and the kibbie was so friendly made. Everything come to our table at a reasonable time and hot. The waiter we had I can't really remember his name but he was such great help. He constantly came by our table every 10 min checking on us. That's the way the waiter should do there job if they like it. The drinks where ok not the best but they are drinkable lol. I ordered a hookah and I was not disappointed at all by it. It came out within like 10 min. That was so fast for a hookah. I love mint flavored hookah. When the cols when out the hookah guy came and turned it on I must say about 4 to 5 times. I highly recommend this place for a nice chill spot for a night great music food and hookah. 5 star from my end thank you for the enjoyment.

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Do not come here and please read. Concept of money has absolutely turn this place into unethical scammers, and it looks like I am speaking for all the authentic reviewers as I'm skimming through here. (Note: If there's an obvious bipolar of bad reviews and 5 stars, the business is probably giving a discount incentive to people to leave the 5 stars) Anywho, every step you take these people will charge and when you nicely try to ask them about it, they turn madly defensive and are prepared to fight. They have been so jaded by previous hecklers that they've rehearsed their defense long before you can even finish your question or sentence. We begin our night by looping over and over just to find parking because more than sixty percent of the parking lot was coned off by their valet service. We're talking about a huge parking lot, fit for a Target Superstore... After spending so much time, we gave up and succumb back to the front to valet our car who required $5 upfront. The vendor did not have change and nor did we have anything smaller than a $20 bill, so we had to go a bit back and forth and negotiated to pay afterwards. He was at least nice about it and let us proceed. We were told cover charge was $10 a head upfront for each of us. Taken aback by the upfront charge, we paid and joined our friends who led the way in seating. As we walked to our seats, it was 10:03 on our phones. We sat at the the very first middle table that you can see walking in, so it was about 15 feet to the register. Our friends told us that they didn't have to pay, so I thought that if I spoke with the gentleman, perhaps he would understand the no-change situation with the valet outside, and they would make an exception since we have arrived but the logistics caused us to punch in right at 10:00 or a minute after. Immediately, this gentleman turned rude defensive and condescended me for even mentioning the notion of an exception. He heard the word "valet" and immediately cut me off to say that's not their company, they have nothing to do with that business and we arrived at 10:00 so we must pay. A quick and odd response overall before I could finish my explanation, so I try to continue with speaking of the scenario and, again he turned from a nice man to a crazy father who was due on his latest teenage children's' respect. Scripted lines, "everyone pays after 10", "valet not our company, nothing to do with us", "you pay, nothing I can do about it". I was obviously heated at this point because I can't even bang any reasonable rational concept into this man since he's been so jaded by previous hecklers. I couldn't even finish a sentence. Obviously, there was nothing we can do so I said aloud that "this was ridiculous" and regrouped with friends at the table. I was so heated I explained very loudly and yelled so that they could hear that they have scammed us. I announced clearly that they have blocked more than half of the parking lot and so getting free parking would be like walking the farthest rim of a lot of a Walmart to get here PLUS valet don't have change on a Saturday night makes no sense. The waiter eavesdropped my story, so I was glad he came to inquire. He offered a discount on our tab (we're 8 people) since I was "upset". I begin to explain that it wasn't about the money, it was about the principle of what had just happened, but I must have misunderstood his intention because this fellow didn't want to hear our situation either. Either he wanted the dirt or he wanted to offer a "discount" so as civiled people, we would put that percentage back into his tip. Again scripts of, "valet not us" "I give you some discount for you". Since his scripted charm wasn't working, he blurted out that he sat my friends "well beyond 10:00" (It's 10:06 at this point and recall that my friends said that they did not pay) At this point, the audacity of these scammers was out of this world. They've now started to fabricate a lie about my well-after-10 friends , which means I must be a crazy lady that wants a discount well after the cut off time. This unthoughtful remark demonstrates that they're just trying to say anything they can to take your money. I looked at him in the eye with disgust and told him that his remark was a lie and that our friends didn't pay so how is that possible? Caught in his own lie, he blurted/yelled out, "Then why did you come right at 10 then?" Apparently, this was OUR fault. We should've came 30 minutes prior to all the boot camp obstacles to the host stand. He clearly couldn't deceive me and was so upset from me talking to him "like that" and that he's "kicking everyone out". With no remorse and with pleasure, we got up and left this scamming institution. Do not come here, do not support people with ethics. They will charge group gratuity for 3 people at 20+ percent. We were 8, the bill would've been ridiculous if we hadn't had left. $45 (with valet negotiation) out the pocket before you can even take a seat.

Yelp
Horrible unpleasant experience. We went here on Saturday night with my friend. All we've ordered only one dish rest were drinks. Server didn't pay attention to our table much. I had to ask another server to find ours to get refills on water (took half hour to do so) and order more drinks. Once we got our check we were shocked they've put 20% gratuity in it automatically. When I went all over the place to look for our server his explanation was simple we add it every Friday and Saturday automatically to every check. It never said so. It's said of table of 4 or more it's automatic. Was only 2 of us. I've tried to skip complaining in public comments. But that's what you get for not responding to your emails since Sunday morning. Thank you so much for horrible experience. Never again and do not recommend to others.

Yelp
When we first walked in for a birthday dinner, the smell of hookah was pretty strong. There is a non-smoking area, but my friend who is more sensitive to smoke got a headache. Although we were in seated in the non-smoking area, the table next to us was served hookah, so be prepared! It was a little weird walking in with it being totally empty at 6:30pm. The waiters dress as most waiters do, in black, but waitresses wore more interesting / skimpy clothing. I imagine this is what a strip club sort of feels like haha~ Most diners come in larger groups and filled the area near 8:30pm when the belly dancing starts each night, and the floor is open to dancing after the belly dancer (there was only one) finished~ This place was okay; every dish we got was pretty blahh, and nothing stood out~ falafel had the falafel taste, but kind of dry and not spiced enough. The shawarma meat was dry. The meat pies weren't too special, although they were super cute :D too bad they don't serve tzatziki or tahini sauce with meals. Buuuut the complimentary pita was delish when served soft and warm! We inhaled ten million pieces before our plates came out all at the same time.. And then more after we picked at our meals ^^' I think most people come for the atmosphere, belly dancer, and hookah. If you're in purely for the food, your hopes are going to be sadly dashed. Oh, if you let the staff know of the birthday girl, a belly dancer will pull them up to dance with them and they serve a dessert with a huge sparkling candle :) They did a fantastic job with making the birthday girl feel special (thanks Al Amir!) so I upped it to three stars. Nice to visit once, but I won't be coming back again~

Yelp
Very nice establishment & welcoming staff. I had been here once before to dine in and there was belly dancers and great music. On this particular visit, I ordered carry out. I ordered the Fatteh with Chicken. It was ready in about 15 minutes . Outstanding taste!! I don't even know how to describe it but I definitely recommend this entree.

Yelp
Been coming here for years, came here on Friday International night the line was busy but not so much the inside, for ladies $5.00 dollar cover, we ordered smoked hookah ordered 2 drinks didn't stay long, there's like one waiter for like the entire bar area which I would say is where everyone wants to sit. They really need more than one, you'll have to chase him down. You have to wait to get coal until they come out to refill everyone's not when you need it. They automatically charged the TIP 20% on my card after he ran it without my permission and we were party of 2!!!! No where on the bill did it even say that!

Yelp
It's extremely high price for Mediterranean food that's usually cheap and healthy. TBH the Mediterranean restaurants in Dallas are pretty over priced for the food ; be it this one or Sanabels or Andalous. Plus I did not like the 'ethics' of a business that was blocking almost half of the entire parking lot forcing the customers to pay for valet who are coming to pay for an already expensive food. Plus they seem to add 20% tip by default while billing you. People might praise their belly dance or hookah, but I would get those things for much cheaper price with a peace of mind at another place.

Yelp
The food is good but they need more staff to handle the crowd pleasantly or an alternative way for people to order and get their food. I was there for a crowded event on a Sunday afternoon and it appeared as if they only had one waiter to serve all tables and one bartender. Having waited on tables myself, I was patient and tried to be courteous as I tried unsuccessfully from around 3:30-5 to get someone to wait on us, including a trip to the bar asking for help. Funny thing is when he finally came to our table with two menus, he'd only let us have one of them so four of us shared the one menu. Maybe also need to print more menus? We did have plenty of time to share the menu since we weren't able to get anyone to come back to our table to take our order. A second trip to the bar finally allowed us to order around 5:15. Strangely, he required us to pre-pay for our food with a mandatory 20% tip (even though we weren't waited on and saw a few other tables pay after eating) but at least he did follow through. My order was missing the sauce and one of the sides, and the roasted potatoes shown in the photo were replaced with french fries that seemed to have been around for awhile but the meat was good.

Yelp
Fun to watch the shows - belly dancing and circus- the girls are really talented. It's also good if you like to dance. More of an older crowd for sure. The place is super dark and old-ish, but a large place. Service is slow, and they serve you tap water (can definitely tell by the taste). I found the entrees to be really expensive for what they are and the location, I've been to fine dining in dallas for the same $15-18 per entree. But besides that, the appetizer we did have was really good and filling. Food (price) + ambiance = 3 stars Performances = 5 stars

Yelp
It's terrible place for dinner. So unorganized, they don't seating you and when you go to set in the table then the waitress tells you to go back to the front disk to be seated. You wait for long time until someone will come and take your order. It was a bad experience visiting this place

Yelp
The people here are rude af. We came on a Saturday night passed midnight with a group of people. Food and drinks were terrible and overpriced. Dance floors was super small. We ordered the hookah around 1:30am. Our server never told us we wouldn't have enough time to get through the whole thing. It was our first time here so we had no idea it would take way longer than 30 min to enjoy this thing. At 2 o clock on the dot we were kicked out of the place. Our server was trying to charge us a double tip (20% x2). Wtf!! Our night was ruined. We will never come back to this place again. Bad bad bad. Stay away from this place. There's way better places than this.
