We went for the 3rd time for the lunch time serving. £80 per person but well worth every pound. The food was delicious, fresh and didn't disappoint. The waiters were polite. My only drawback is the manager. She's very abrupt as she gave a rude gesture when we declined wine and asked for bottle water. The way she speaks to customers and the waiters is impolite and unprofessional. She needs to retire as she's been there for too long or she needs to improve her customer facing skills as she would be the one reason why I wouldn't go back.

I was not sure at first but this place turned out to be very nice. It is a set "surprise" menu; you just sit down and dishes come to you. A series of antipasti, a pasta dish, a main dish and a dessert, and it changes every time. Populr concept in Italy but not that common in the UK. Revelation of the year. Food was nice and tasy. Fixed price and only drinks are extra.

The most original Italian in London! This was our 3rd visit in 5 years. When we are in London this is a must. Simone Johnathan and team are the best of the best!! The quality of the Italian food is superb and the menu is outstanding. Wines are fabulous. Book early so not to miss the best Italian food in London!

Our experience was fine but nothing wow. The restaurant offers a fixed seven-course set menu every day. The starters were just okay, but the pork was excellent. That said, there was nothing particularly special about the food - it felt like very well-prepared home cooking. In my opinion, £400 for four people is significantly overpriced for the experience we had. While the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. The manager made it clear that you’re simply a guest here— - you sit exactly where they tell you and eat exactly what they serve. The menu wasn’t clearly explained at the beginning, and for this price, I would expect a more welcoming and accommodating experience. Overall, there are plenty of other places in the area that offer a better experience for the same price.

A meal at el Boccon Di' Vino is an experience, a festin, a ritual and I love it. A series of starters, each more delicious than the previous one. Two pasta dishes, some of the most amazing pasta I've ever eaten. Followed by a less impressive (in my view) main course and desert (But by that time, you're full anyway...). Simona and her colleague create a special feeling at your table, and sometimes in the while small restaurant where diners know they are experiencing a collective gastronomic experience. Since Covid, you don;t need to book 6 months in advance anymore. I highly recommend it as a unique Richmond experience, along with a stroll by the river, seeing Richmond Hill and now the Ted Lasso locations. Arrive hungry!

The food at this restaurant is amazing. It only has one sitting and there is no menu. You eat the dishes they prepare based on available ingredients that day. We had six courses including prosciutto ham and asparagus, beans, prawns and scallops, pasta and wild boar. The food was superbly prepared and delicious. It cost £65 each plus £30 for a bottle of house red.

Quirky multi course no menu restaurant run by same people for many years. Great experience. House wine recommended. Don't eat anything before you go!

Yelp
Amazing little surprise, the place is sweet and friendly, it doesn't have a menu but food keeps coming. The Italian feast makes you regret none but want to eat more! First comes the honey-twisted salad with thin cut ham, light enough to carry on with 8 more plates. Then the seafood, grilled prawns and scallop are rich flavored and herbs on the topping. The pastas, with a thick creamy cheese on the top, best I ever had. After that it's the meat session. Pork for our night! The whole meal lasts for 3 hours, wine is perfect, everything is perfect. Do make a booking in advance as its fully occupied!

Yelp
Back home across the pond we have a sort of reverence for Italian food that's evident in our cultural stereotypes but more hidden in our dining habits. Everyone can imitate an Italian chef, but none of us talk about a new Italian restaurant the way we might about a new sushi restaurant or a hip Korean/Mexican fusion joint. In many ways, Italian food seems to have won the fight against the modernisation. People generally still look for quantity and quality in Italian food over ingenuity and risk. That makes Italian food less exciting. Less sexy. So how do you keep Italian food exciting when the popular opinion tells you it isn't, and shouldn't be? I think you could start with the lamb at Al Boccon di'vino. To get there you'd have to get through 10 to 17 courses though. None of which you'd know about before hand. All of which seem to have been plucked out of thin air by the chef. Each course is served simultaneously to the entirety of the restaurant, the final main dish is literally served with applause. That's right. Without any prompting, people at this restaurant actually applaud the main course as it's served. This has happened every time we go to this restaurant and each time it's a different main course. Portion control is out, and there's nothing sexy about that, but there's still something exciting about having a meal that's truly memorable, and each time I've eaten here that's been the case.

Yelp
Simply put a wonderful little gem of a restaurant and a 'must try'. The food, wine and service staff were all amazing! The photos say it all!

Yelp
This is by far the best Italian restaurant I've been to! And I've been to Italy! Served family style! You must plan ahead because it's booked daily! Grazie!! Grazie!

Yelp
This by far the one of the best resturants I've ever been to. Dinner starts at 7:30 and for us ended three hours later. Come hungry and leave happy. There is no menu, just plates and plates of delicious food brought out to everyone in the restaurant. It's authentic, rich in flavor, and just perfect. It's 10-12 plates that range from meats to fish to antipasti to pasta. I have nothing bad to say about this place other than plan to feast, I wished I'd have skipped lunch. I will be returning!

Yelp
I cannot fault this place! You pay £45 a head for what seems like an endless gorgeous meal. I went on the weekend, and we were given about 12 plates, including roasted vegetables, goose, meatballs, pasta, gnocci, parma ham, slow cooked lamb and panna cotta. The food was unbelievable! You definitely leave this restaurant satisfied...my only wish was that I had more stomach space..! It's a cosy restaurant, and very popular (rightly so!), so booking is essential. I will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
this place does an incredible italian feast - the plates just keep on coming! It covers fish dishes, antipasti, pasta and ends with a generous meat course (i.e. suckling pig). beautiful, rich, italian flavours. charming, yet crazy (in a good way) staff serve the delicious food. we spent around 4 hours there as there is so much to get through. so for £45/head, you feel like a 4 hour experience and brilliant food is well worth it. have to book far in advance but you wont be disappointed!

Yelp
While in Richmond on business, colleagues told me this was a place I had to check out. I showed up hoping I could get a seat, having no clue that reservations are being taken weeks in advance, I happened to meet Ricardo, the owner on the street and since I was dining alone, he managed to squeeze me in at the back and the improvised chef's table. What an amazing, amazing experience. I got to chat with Mamun (sorry if I spelled this wrong!) who is part of the kitchen team, and who acted as my Italian-English translator, and see all the food being plated for guests, fresh from the kitchen. The food, all 8 or 9 courses of it, was excellent. Seafood, risotto, pasta, lamb, 2 desserts - all delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to or living in the area. Thanks to Ricardo and staff again for an amazing night!

Yelp
Simply one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Everything was perfect. Course after course of food that I still dream about.

Yelp
Delicious Italian feast! No menu, all the food is a pleasant surprise. Over three to four hours, you will be served 10 courses: salad, ham, antipasti, seafood, pastas, and a large meat roast. The staff are friendly and accommodating of all full allergies/ preferences. In total, a amazing very special food experience for a special occasion.
