Al Carbon Restaurant

Love these guys! I'm a regular, and they're always a great place for either a quick bite, a hearty dinner or even a party. The prices are fair, and you get plenty of food. It's all really tasty! But, you definitely need to know what you're ordering. I get help from my Venezuelan and Mexican friends when they're around, and I've learned the menu. Suffice to say, both of them think this place is fire, and I do too.

Always in search of good South of the border food I visited this Tex-Mex restaurant as the suggestion from another foodie I was with. As we were walking through the parking lot there appeared to be a karaoke singer entertaining the patrons in the restaurant. It turns out that there was a very large party being hosted there for a birthday celebration. I'm not too sure if the live entertainment was there for the celebration or that's something that they do every Saturday night. The food was good and the atmosphere was appropriate to the food. The party took up more than 2/3 of the dining area in celebration and the music was very loud, almost distractingly loud. I had the steak tacos and they were very tasty but the beans were quite interesting to say the least. The rice would be a traditional Tex-Mex rice and not a Spanish rice. Nonetheless it was worth the trip and when I go back I will make sure when I'm walking through the parking lot that there is not a singer entertaining the restaurant patrons So if you like good Tex-Mex and you're in to Gaithersburg area stop by and give him a shot, and apparently there's more than one restaurant

Great food and cozy seating quality and service from the waiter and large selection pf beverages parking is a little tight depending on time and day will highly recommend

Al Carbon always tastes great and comes with great service. Everyone looking for good Latin food should check this place out and explore the menu!

Overall Very Unfriendly and discriminative environment Non family friendly not disable accessible . Owner/Host was very unfriendly and dismissive when my family came to dine, we were not greeted seated or even spoken too kindly when inquiring. Wouldn’t recommend to non Hispanic speakers or families. The location is very conventional but the service is very backhanded.

Excellent food n clean atmosphere. The only downside is the approach of the service towards the customers as it's been addressed in several reviews.

Went with my family for lunch. Do not come here unless you want to waste your money. The rice was mushy and hard at the same time. Beans and tortillas taste very old. Pupusas were terrible, I have never seen pupusas with whole beans in them. Don't do it!

Terrible place to eat, first of all the restaurant inside very cold! Had to keep your coat on. The food was terrible we order a Bandera paisa the beans taste old, I did like the pupusas better, the water the restaurant serves tasted bad 👎, the only good was the service, never we back there again
