"This waterfront institution is renowned for its grilled pizza, which makes sense, since the owners arguably invented it back in the ’80s. It also happens to be one of Ina Garten’s favorite restaurants, which for us, is reason enough to have a meal here. Unsurprisingly, Ina knows what she’s talking about: while any pizza on the menu is a good choice, go with the pepperoni-topped version that’s crispy, slightly charred, and also comes topped with scallions. Sip a glass of red, and try not to get any sauce on the white tablecloths." - Grace Kelly

"A charming spot off Wimbledon Broadway, Al Forno is an Italian restaurant with a comforting Anglo twist. The buzzy neighbourhood favourite is rustic and comfortable, with pots and pans hanging from the ceiling and a roaring brick oven. Flour-covered chefs throw in dough after dough, and pull out crispy, bubbling pizzas. Waiters sprint across the restaurant carrying the hefty-looking pizzas while diners watch on, waiting for their turn. The pastas are consistent and satisfying, but the move is to get a large pizza and refuse to share it with anyone. The British influences come through when you move on to dessert which are just as much a main event. The banoffee is a slice of excellent biscuity craftsmanship and warm custard is a necessity with the apple pie. As is a booking—this place is always packed out. photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat" - Rianne Shlebak

"Al Forno is an Italian restaurant with Big Pepper Grinder Energy. You know, the type of big-hearted place where the menu is as huge as the table, chianti bottles in straw baskets hang from the ceiling, and the air hums with conversation and clinking of glasses. The bubbly-crust pizzas and hefty pasta dishes with shell-on king prawns or minced beef ragu are decent at this New Malden spot, but you’re really here for the generous hospitality and Good Times atmosphere. Come with pretty much anyone because there’ll definitely be a dish on the menu for everyone and it’s the kind of place that guarantees a memorable night." - Daisy Meager

Love this place, the pizza is great and the sandwiches are great too. The cook knows what he’s doing. I’ve only had great experiences. The staff is kind and always helpful. Shoutout to Kaylee at the front. She is always courteous and has a great attitude.

Google
They're really more for takeout than they are eating inside. They have tables to accommodate but they're more for pickup orders. As a retired Italian restaurant owner, I have found this place to be the best around for pizza and wings. I have not tried their entrees yet. Their Pizza is excellent, good cheese right amount of sauce great crust what more do you want in a pizza? We've got some of their specialty pizzas and they've definitely passed my inspection as well. Wings are the perfect size I like them cooked well done most of the time they get it right but there are times they miss the mark. Last night's order they were on spot for everything. The wings were the best I have gotten from there ever. I have tried many pizzas from the area restaurants and I have to say Al Forno's is about as close to mine as I have found. It is excellent. And that Greco Pizza oh my God. Their prices are fair and competitive.

Google
Very yummy. The Roma pizza was delicious with lots of flavor. Pepperoni, hot sausage, peppers, and onions. The roll for the chicken parmesan sub was fresh. Would definitely go back and try another specialty pizza and sub. Small take out place with limited seating inside or outside. Take out business was nonstop as we ate outside and watched tons of orders go out.

Came in to check out a slice with two toppings. Was charged $3.50 for the anchovies on the side. When I questioned why I was paying more for one topping that was on the side than the actual slice, the manager was asked the question in the back. Would not come out to discuss. They said it’s because the gave me more of that topping on the side. Doesn’t make sense, I don’t need a whole can of anchovies for one slice. Good taste great but they swindled me for my money and gave no customer satisfaction. Had to let them know I will never come back if that’s how they charge for food. I honestly would not be here if DeAngelos was open on Sunday. Good food here at alforno but they don’t care about the customer and the customer obviously is not right. Over $7 for one slice with two toppings that they advertise as $3.40

Google
Excellent pizza!! Recommended as the areas best pizza & we were not disappointed. We ordered a Hawaiian & a 1/2 Deluxe & 1/2 Margherita. Loaded with quality toppings & perfectly crisped crust, I don't know how they do it...must be magic! Small dining area, authentic pizzaria where you can see & smell the many delicious offerings being lovingly prepared! Welcoming staff, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

UPDATE to my previous post: This is why I rave about Al Forno Pizza! I ordered the Garlic Parmesan Wings, and I offered to pay for extra Parmesan, but they said no, they wanted me to try it again and this time. WOW. Now that's how you do it. That's how you treat customers! that's why I changed my original rating from a 3 PREVIOUS POST: I will let you guys be the judge of this one yourselves. I ordered Garlic Parmesan Wings at around 11:05 am. Delivery was just as they said 45 minutes. That's excellent they're always on point with the delivery. I'm used to seeing the Parmesan all over the chicken, but today it looks like they didn't add the Parmesan. I called them back and they confirmed it wasn't a new chef and he did indeed put Parmesan. Problem is I can't see it. They offered to give me extra Parmesan next time though. 😊 Alforno Pizza is a great company and I have never had any issues until now. I wanna be clear on that. However today, they didn't add enough for me,not like what I'm used to seeing. Make your own decision.

Google
The first time I ordered pizza was good and got delivered on time, I live six minutes away anyway, today the third time I ordered it took over an hour to arrive and it was cold! Also the pizza wasn’t good at all

Really good! Got a cheese pizza and some chicken wings and both were good. Food was made on time too. Definitely will go back at some point.

Yelp
Great pizza and Calzone! I Will be back! The restaurant was small and kind of hot, so I'll probably just get it to go next time.

Al S.

Yelp
For being rated the top pizza is Jupiter it certainly let us down. For this Long Islander it was a step above frozen pizza with and "fake" taste. Plus the sausage they used was clearly not real or just really bad. Has the same pie from Goodfellas and there was simply no comparison. Goodfellas wins hands down.

Yelp
Al Forno Pizza of Jupiter Florida makes a pretty decent pizza. What is nice is that they offer pizza by the slice which most places do not. So There are many pizza establishments in Jupiter and this is not bad for Florida Pizza. The staff was nice. They can get busy sometimes. The store is located in a shopping center and parking can be difficult but not most of the time.

Tony Z.

Yelp
Right across the street from our community. Ordered an hour and a half ahead of time for delivery. Order came an hour later than expected. Wanted well done, they use ground up sausage, and small bits of mushroom, so everything on top was black and overdone. Granted, it was a high traffic night, but the pizza was not good. If ordering it well done involved burned small bits of topping, they should have told us so. To us, the end of a long relationship.

Ronda C.

Yelp
Good pizza and GREAT wings! The crust was a little soggy, but both pizzas tasted delicious and they use quality ingredients. We look forward to trying other menu items next time - the menu is extensive. Unfortunately, our garlic rolls were drowned in olive oil and overcooked.

Erica E.

Yelp
Best pizza in Jupiter. The inside of the restaurant is small and hot so plan on take out. Pizza crust is always perfection with plenty of sauce, cheese, and preferred toppings. It's always ready when they tell me it will be, so service is good.

Chris T.

Yelp
We have been going here for a while, today's pizza was close to inedible. After calling to ask, I have been informed there is a new person making the pizza. If that person continues or does not improve we will stop order from here.

Alice M.

Yelp
So. We ordered takeout. 5 meals. We selected this place because we really enjoy their eggplant Parm dinner. Always nice and tasty. We did ask for more sauce on the thing, which was still a little lacking. The portion is large, had enough for the next day. Now the reason for only 3 stars- the cannoli. I always hate it when you get a cannoli filled with air, which is what this was. See photo. It tasted ok, but the huge void is just unacceptable. Won't buy it again. Service is usually good although sometimes things are missing from order.

Emma S.

Yelp
My favorite pizza in Jupiter! They know how to do it right! This little restaurant is so cute and they have great to-go pizza or pizza by the slice. I grew up going here all the time and have never been disappointed by them. They are the best and the staff is so friendly. Highly recommend!

Charlene C.

Yelp
Al Forno is my go to pizza place. The margherita pizza is my fave but anything they make is amazing and the staff is awesome. Not that I'm committing to this but I've had delivery times say 75 mins and 25 mins later I'm diving into the deliciousness they bring. Used them for a corporate event too and got rave reviews. Best go to in the Jupiter area

David H.

Yelp
This was my fourth or fifth time ordering pizza from here, and I wanted to try other dishes as well since they have such a big menu. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, wings, and chicken parm entree with angel hair. The pepperoni pizza is the best I've had in Jupiter/Juno Beach besides Crafty Crust, but we live near this location for delivery. It's real northeast style, crispy crust, fresh ingredients-it's insane. The wings were really crispy and good quality chicken; the chicken parm was good quality, and the pasta was cooked perfectly with addicting marinara sauce. Lastly, the young lady that answered the phone was very professional and nice, and informed us delivery on a Saturday night might take 1.5-2 hours, but they delivered it in around an hour. I have zero complaints, and have had nothing but good experiences.

Yelp
I stopped in to grab a "to go" for my daughter. She asked for an I ordered the gyro platter. I added a large calzone. They brought the box and bag to me outside (where I was waiting) and I went home. My daughter kept asking where her gyro was, I replied on the counter (I thought she was not paying attention which is why she kept asking). Finally she brings me a to go tin with a garden salad in it. So now I am confused, they never asked about a salad dressing so how could this be? Does a salad come with a large calzone (which is gigantic by the way and has become 3 meals so far)? Do I have a speech impediment where gyro (which I believe I pronounced correctly as YEE-ROW) platter sound like garden salad? Or, did they miss that part of my order completely? My bill was $39 so I am pretty sure they should have noticed multiple components. Unfortunately, I did not notice the error until I was home and my daughter pointed this out. I did not call them because I was not going back the 4-5 miles. Please check your order before you leave.

Josh S.

Yelp
Super busy on a Friday night and the food took a while to prep for take-out (40mins). That being said, everyone was friendly and clearly working hard to get the orders out as quickly as possible. The meat lover's calzone was very good - absolutely stuffed with meat and cheese, not overdone, and the crust was thin and not too doughy. A large calzone could probably serve 3-4 adults if you have a salad or other side dish to go along, The white pizza was more or less average. I've had better, cheesier white pizzas, but this one was a little underdone and crust-heavy for my taste. All in all, solid 4 star experience. We will certainly try some of their subs and other calzone/Stromboli options in the future.

Greg E.

Yelp
Tried this place now twice and wasn't impressed with the pizza. Lacked taste. Sauce was bland and they charge you extra for using a credit card. Won't be going there again.

Matt S.

Yelp
I'd probably give this 7/10 but I'll round up for the purposes of this app. Ordered 2 large pizzas and one small for 4 adults and 5 kids. The entire small was leftover. Everyone thought it was pretty good which matched the rest of the reviews on here. Much better than the alternative little Cesars my uncle wanted to order. Would buy again.

Melodie M.

Yelp
I'm so glad my favorite Jupiter pizzeria is still standing strong through these tough times; they even have a new website! I only noticed this now, as I have been ordering the same item repeatedly (cheese pizza) for the longest time with no need to check their actual menu. I broke my short-lived no-takeout quarantine time with an order from Al Forno. I know myself and my family well enough by now to know that only 1 pizza is just not enough, but even with 2 pizzas, I usually end up missing my favorite topping, which only I enjoy: pepperoni. I decided to order a pepperoni something: a calzone, or was it a stromboli? I could not recall the differences, but a quick internet search indicated that a calzone contains ricotta. I let ricotta lead the way! The calzone hit the spot. The cheeses and meat held together beautifully inside of tasty pizza dough. A generous amount of pepperoni kept the spice going throughout the entire dish. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Now looking at the online menu, I see that a pepperoni calzone is not actually a menu item!?! A big thanks to Al Forno for accommodating my request and making my little ex-vegetarian heart soar.

Yelp
Our go to takeout pizza place. Never had a bad pie from this place. It's busy!! But for a reason! It's the best pizza In Jupiter. If Dave tried it I'm sure he'd give it an 8.2!

Joe M.

Yelp
Menus wrong on doordash, added fees to the order last minute, and order was 30 minutes late.

Chris G.

Yelp
Bad quality. Our meals were bland and overpriced. Will never go back. Probably the worst I've ever had.

Jim H.

Yelp
Ordered four pizzas for a small get together. I gave them a specific time for delivery and it arrived exactly as requested. The site allowed me to order them a day ahead. That was really convenient when there's a house full of guests. It was hot and excellent. Their dough has the right bite and is easily "foldable" if that's your style. They were all beautifully prepared and especially delicious is the white pizza.

William Q.

Yelp
I am originally from New York. I constantly seems to be a challenge to find good pizza in Florida. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and enjoyed it. The crust was great and I enjoyed the sauce. Good amount of cheese and pepperoni. I will definitely return

Nina R.

Yelp
Heaven forbid you order with the young girl with black hair she acts like you are being an inconvenience BUT once you get to the girl with the butterfly tattoo at checkout she turns the whole mood around with her welcoming smile and inviting attitude and not to mention the food is delicious !!

Lynette S.

Yelp
Still going strong & they "under promise, over deliver" lately which is great! Everything was good from the garlic rolls that came with the chicken parm & chicken saltimbocca entrees, which were tasty also, the side salads were fresh & medium cheese pizza with bacon very good. Keep up the good work Al Fornos!

Charles H.

Yelp
Great pizza. Better then Angelo's and definitely better then Dangelos. And they actually stay open normal Hours.

Susan A.

Yelp
Second time in a row my food has gone in the trash They obviously don't listen to what you order I ordered a sandwich for 13 dollars it may have had 1/4 meat and treats exaggerating I won't be eating I mean trashing my food again

Gail C.

Yelp
All of their pizza's are outstanding! Everyone is friendly, and I really like the option where you can get half and half of different pizzas. They're very reasonable with a drink and a slice. Definitely go there.

Steven S.

Yelp
After trying this place a few times, Ive come to the conclusion that its nothing more than your average corner pizza joint except with a premium price and questionable customer service. There's plenty of other choices in town, I'd suggest trying them before Al Forno and you'll probably have a better experience.

Stacy K.

Yelp
Visiting family in Jupiter and looking for a local family pizza place and we found a great one! From when we first walked in the gentleman behind the counter greeted us with a friendly Hello, the rest of the staff were just as friendly. We ordered the Chicken Parm w/angel hair and Gnocchi w/Bolognese sauce...BOTH were outstanding! Monday's special was a large cheese pizza, how could we say no! Although stuffed to the brim from our dinners we had to try a slice while hot out of the oven. Again, pizza was outstanding...from the sauce to the crust!! Thank you Al Forno's...you impressed these 2 Vegas Girls!!

Joe W.

Yelp
On October 16th ordered a pizza for delivery and paid with my credit card. When the driver showed up he said the credit card did not go thru and my wife paid him $35.00 cash.A week later I got my credit card statement and there was a charge for the pizza. On November 5th I called and spoke to the manager who told me he spoke to the driver and the driver said my wife did not give him $35.00. OK LOST A CUSTOMER FOR BEING DISHONEST

Peter P.

Yelp
Best Sicilian pizza I have ever had! Coming from New Jersey, I miss a good pizza but this place hit the spot! Plenty of sauce and cheese with the crust done right.

Mae O.

Yelp
Im excited to let everyone know this is a great pizza & Im not going to lie I ate that whole pizza all.by my self. It was deliciois :)

Paulina M.

Yelp
Italian former NY'er here. Al Forno is the very best pizza, Italian food and service in all of Jupiter, Tequesta and Palm Beach Gardens. Pizza crust is thin and slightly crispy in all the right ways, generous sauce, cheese and toppings. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond. Delivery is always faster than they calculate when ordering. My family and I love you Al Forno! Thank you for the superb food, amazing service and keeping prices affordable. Sincerely, Customers for life!

Chuck W.

Yelp
In Jupiter Florida... decided to order out . Had the Garlic rolls and Wings . All I can say is both were UNBELIEVABLE! Most times garlic rolls are pieces of bread ... NOT THESE ! We are from Buffalo and I wanted to try them ! Wings were like a breaded type so I was a bit apprehensive! But not at all .. they were FANTASTIC! They even came with Bleu Cheese which everyone knows comes with wings .. not Ranch ! Definitely try this place ! You won't regret it !

Julio B.

Yelp
Great pizza not much else to say. Very flavorful, sauce is amazing and compliments the cheese and tasty crust. This is real New York pizza. The owner is from Brooklyn and has been making pies since he was 14. Don't judge off of service, they are not here to ask you about how your day is going or to hold your hand. If u get your feelings hurt than oh well. The food is outstanding that's all that should matter. Also there Stromboli is off the charts. In philly we eat cheese steak Stromboli's ( steak, mozzarella and pizza sauce inside) they were able to duplicate it to the tee for me. Pastas, marinara, and garlic knots are amazing as well.

Rafael M.

Yelp
The pizza was Ok, had the meat lovers. The dough wasn't tasty as I would expect, the sauce was good, and the meat was average. It is an average pizza, for a high price of $20.49 (large).

Sheri M.

Yelp
Have been a regular customer, loved their food, always had great delivery people and great service. I received a less than satisfactory delivery tonight. Got the completely wrong salad, no dressing, no garlic knots with my entree. I called to speak to someone and  ended up asking for a partial refund to accommodate the issues. She first tried to argue with me that the order came through incorrectly and when I offered to send her a copy of THEIR order printout attached to the delivery, she changed her story to say the kitchen made a mistake. I was told I was speaking to the manager, she initially refused to issue a partial refund, offered a lousy 15% discount for a future order and disconnected me when I disagreed. After calling back, she told me she had no authorization to process a partial refund and put the chef on the phone, who said he was the manager. He was no more accommodating. Ended up back with the first person who then stated she would issue a refund. By then, the rest of the meal was cold and I certainly didn't enjoy it after this experience. I get it - mistakes happen. But it's all about the way a business resolves it.  In thise case, I'll go elsewhere in the future and won't be recommending them to anyone.

Dawn T.

Yelp
This place is unreal. The gnocchi bolognese was the best followed up with Pasta Fagioli. It was the BEST! We also had the garlic knots, ham/cheese calzone and pizza. Meat lovers pizza was delicious! We did delivery and it arrived in a time manner. Check this place out. WORTH IT

Ellie M.

Yelp
Born and raised New Yorker here, I know my pizza. This is by far the BEST pizza I have ever had since moving to Florida. It has the perfect amount of sauce and cheese and the crust has just enough crunch. The staff is always so welcoming and attentive too! You won't be disappointed!!

Steve R.

Yelp
Really disappointed the last few times we ordered take out.Pizza has gotten thin and sparse of toppings, Chix parm sub was pretty disgusting. would have taken it back but just won't go back at all. sometimes places have success then get lazy. bummer. used to enjoy it.

Joey K.

Yelp
Chicken parmigiana is not edible frozen and hard to eat pasta is fine and pizza is acceptable at best

Christine G.

Yelp
Horrible food. We ordered penne aka vodka which was dry and flavorless. The pizza also had little flavor.

Eva N.

Yelp
Delicious sauce on the pizza. Plenty of cheese and toppings. Crust was crispy and foldable.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Pizza is usually good, but this time, The Margarita pizza had almost no mozzarella or cheese??? One of the worse pizza I have ever had... The people making the pizza shoukd be shown how the Margaretta should be made. I will not be ordering that one again. Just very disappointing.

Evan B.

Yelp
We ordered a House Calzone, which comes with (according to THEIR menu online), ham, spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. We added Prosciutto. What they sent was a Calzone with Lots of BROCCOLI, Lots of ONIONS, GREEN PEPPERS, SPINACH, PROSCIUTTO, ricotta and mozzarella. First, I am highly allergic to ONIONS (especially UNCOOKED, which these all were). Second when I took a couple bits it tasted like CRAP. I immediately started to feel the effects of the raw onion and started to get nervous. Obviously, I stopped eating and began looking through the Calzone and saw what was actually in it. So, I called the store in Jupiter (where it came from) and spoke to the Manager (I use that term lightly) who apologized, but then offered 50% off our next order of Calzone. 50% OFF - AS IF IT WAS 50% MY FAULT THAT THEY SCREWED UP.........AS I FIRST STATED, TOTAL B.S. Then she said she can make another one (hopefully right) tonight and send it back out..........which means that I can eat 1.5 hour or later, AFTER I had specially ordered it to be at my house at 7:30pm. I don't know to many people that have worked a HARD DAY and are treating yourself to hopefully some good food, to only have it COMPLETELY SPOILED by a Restaurant. All I wanted was a RE-DO on a different night, without charge and I would make myself (and my wife) something to eat for tonight. BUT OOH NOOO Allie said she can't do that, she can only give us 50% off next (again, trying to figure out where I DID SOMETHING WRONG to be penalized by a Restaurant). We moved to Jupiter a few months ago and started to use this Restaurant when we wanted take-out.............well thanks to this B.S., I will be looking for another restaurant to meet our needs. It's to bad that the owner of the restaurant can't find a qualified manager to make appropriate decisions!! As I stated, this is TOTAL B.S. and I hope that people will take the time to read this and beware. Sincerely, Evan Balash

Tommy D.

Yelp
Spectacular wings......pizza outstanding... delivery service does its best to get here fast, but they are busy. Just love this place!

Jordan D.

Yelp
I'm from NYC. I've eaten at least half a million slices in the last 50 years. This is damn good pizza. No ambiance AT ALL in the place, but the pizza has me still thinking about it a day later. The formula seems simple, yet few are able to achieve it. Crisp crust, seasoned sauce with just a hint of sweetness and not too much cheese. The biggest problem I have with this place is the owner doesn't seem to care about the environment. Is it that hard to put a recycling bin next to the trash?? I asked the owner where I should put my soda can and he told me, "oh just put in the trash." It's 2019 and we still have businesses with this attitude? So I went a step further and suggested to the owner that not having a recycling bin reflects poorly on the business. He told me he has a guy that comes and rummages through his trash out back to collect the cans. Like that's a good solution to have someone rummage through your plastic bags? Seems like that would attract rodents and it's just plain lazy. So the owner tells me (just to shut me up), "ok we will have recycling bin out there tomorrow," but he said it in such a way that I know he did not mean it sincerely at all. If i don't update this review, then you will have your answer about how sincere he was.

Anna C.

Yelp
We were pretty underwhelmed with our food at this restaurant. We had a group of 7 and we all ordered different pasta dishes. We did not like our food but thought maybe we should've had the pizza.

Lisa T.

Yelp
The other reviews are right. The pizzas might have been good in the restaurant. But by the time they were delivered to me - and I live 5 minutes away - they were cold and congealed. I heated them up in the microwave, which is not great. I won't be ordering from Al Forno again.

Laura D.

Yelp
Pizza and wings were ordered and arrived 2 hours later. Driver apologized and told us another driver quit in the middle of his shift? Pizza and wings were cold. Driver was very apologetic. There are other places with better food and better customer service.
