Beautiful mosque in the heart of Portobello. A very short walk from Portobello Road market. Large and accessible prayer space for sister’s, including a wudhu facility (entrance for sisters is also clearly labelled). Great experience overall. Can’t wait to return!

I was very pleased to get in there looks like a massive place for worship with big prayer hall. It has some sort of parking, lots of toilets, overall a beautiful facility. And also they are operating a funeral services for the community, I'm not sure about the cost of this service but at least they are providing it. This is a good connecting point berween the local residents and businesses and also for the visitors. Let me recommend it

Everything is good, the only problem is when you give Jummah time @ 1:00 you supposed to start jamah either 1 or 15- 20 min later . I work nearby so all we can take is break to come for mosque but only thing is there is no specific time for jummah prayer. Last Jummah I came at 1 but the prayer finished 2:10. We work on company where people can think otherwise easily so please if you say jamat at 1 then start as soon as possible not after an hour otherwise people think we are exploiting break, not everyone is muslim in this country. The mosque is truly a sight to behold, with its captivating beauty evident in both its interior and exterior. The ground floor is adorned with exquisite decorations, and the new, pristine carpets provide a soft and inviting space for prayer. It's a pleasure to kneel and pray on them. However, when it comes to the first floor, while it maintains a level of cleanliness, there is room for improvement. The surface can be a bit challenging for prayers, especially during the bustling Friday congregations when the mosque is packed to capacity. Additionally, the mosque's location is somewhat unusual, given its proximity to the motorway. Despite this, it exudes an aura of serenity and spirituality that envelops all who visit. It truly is a peaceful and soulful place of worship.

We Turks follow the principle of cleanliness, which is fundamental in Islam. But why do some people insist on dirtying the places where they take off their shoes, and even after walking outside, bring that dirt inside whether barefoot or in socks? Why isn’t the awareness of impurity present in every culture? Why is dirt from outside repeatedly brought into mosques and places where we pray?

Beautiful, beautiful mosque. Main prayer area very beautifully-designed. There is also a middle prayer area that has a sunroof which is great during Jumah prayers, keeps the congregation warm. Jumah khutbah in Arabic first and English afterwards in 1 session.
